投球障害予防に関する研究は多く,日本国内でも様々な投球障害予防の取り組みが試行されてきた.その一方で,投球障害を生じる若年野球選手の数は多く,さらに増え続けているとも報告されている.様々な機能低下が投球障害の原因か?結果か?または投球動作への適応か?ということの判断は容易ではない.より良い判断のためにはスポーツ現場における経時的な評価や観察が重要となる.その経時的な変化を評価し,障害発生を予測し,対応することが最も重要である.

This paper proposes a multiport converter based on a flying capacitor converter topology for use in a battery management system. The proposed circuit operates in discontinuous current mode and pulse frequency modulation in order to reduce inductor volume. The circuit achieves load fluctuation compensation and maximum power point tracking of the photovoltaic (PV) system by deciding duty ratio based on load current and PV output current. According to the experimental results, an efficiency of more than 95.8% was achieved under all operation conditions. In addition, the maximum efficiency reached 98.8% at the rated load (750W). Furthermore, the inductor volume reduced by 85.5% compared to that of the conventional circuit using two inductors.

This paper proposes a low vibration stopping method by switching between the free-run and short-circuit braking modes of a compressor. Vibrations are generated by the bouncing of the rotor caused by load torque fluctuations. The proposed method suppresses the bouncing by stopping the motor during the suction process, thereby preventing the generation of a large torque. In order to stop the motor during the suction process, the proposed method switches from the free-run to short-circuit braking mode at the top dead center, which is the starting point of the suction process. Furthermore, the inrush current during the short-circuit braking mode is suppressed using a hysteresis current controller. The vibrations are evaluated under four pressure conditions using the conventional and proposed methods. The results show that, the proposed method achieves more than 50% reduction in the amplitudes of the vibrations at all four pressure conditions. Notably, the proposed method reduces the amplitude of the vibration by 71% under the high-pressure condition.

The grid connection inverter is built in the PCS (Power Conditioning Subsystem) for the distributed power supply, such as photo voltaic system. In order to utilize the power source, it is necessary that the grid connection inverter of the PCS predicts the load and output fluctuation in customer side. Therefore, this paper investigates a load estimation in the grid connection inverter of the PCS. The proposed estimation method adds superimposing perturbative signals in the inverter reference. The validity of the proposed estimation method is experimentally verified. In addition, the perturbative signals for load estimation consist of three different frequency components. As the result, it is experimentally clarified the proposed method improves the estimation accuracy.

高火力化した熱源を使う乾式調理が増える中で,熱伝達効率の高い鉄製フライパンが減りフッ素樹脂加工製フライパン(アルミ製)が増えている。省エネの観点からも鍋を使い分ける必要があると考え,実調理試験を中心に比較試験を行った。その結果,(1)Fe製鍋は調理時間がAl-F製鍋の約7割と短い割に焦げ色が濃く,(2)表面温度や焦げ色などの外部要因をそろえて対比すると, Fe製試料は加熱時間が短いためにAl-F 製試料より軟らかい食感が残り易いことが確認できた。(3)Fe製試料の方が焦げ色,食感などの官能評価が高い場合もみられ,(4)食材による鍋材質の使い分けが必要であると思われた。

In 1789, there was an Ainu uprising against Wajin (Japanese) in the Kunashiri and Menashi districts of eastern Ezo. The uprising was quickly quelled in what is often referred to as the Battle of Kunashiri-Menashi. A year later, Matsumae domain, assigned by the Tokugawa shogunate to govern Ezo, completed Ishū retsuzō, a set of portraits of twelve Ainu chiefs who collaborated with the domain in suppressing the uprising. The paintings, executed by Kakizaki Hakyō (1764–1826), were intended not just to honor the chiefs' deeds but also to represent Confucian ideals. This was a time when the shogunate was campaigning to revive Confucianism. It duly commissioned a work of similar style and purpose, namely the Kenjō no sōji, a set of wall panels for the Shishinden Hall in the imperial palace in Kyoto featuring thirty-two Chinese sages. Was the contemporaneous creation of these two sets of paintings a mere coincidence? Ishū retsuzō was first taken to Kyoto, where it was viewed by Confucian scholars, court nobles, and the emperor himself. The visually striking portraits enjoyed a quiet popularity among intellectuals and daimyo in Kyoto and Edo. Toward the end of the Edo period, part of the Ishū retsuzō was included in publications by Ezo explorer Matsuura Takeshirō. Contrary to the original intent of the work, it was used to introduce the "customs" of the Ainu, and was even introduced to Europe as such.

This essay examines the social, cultural, and economic life of Kawai Koume (1804–1889), a bushi housewife and artist living in the Wakayama castle town of Kishū domain in the final years of the Tokugawa era and the early years of Meiji. Using a diary that Koume kept over a period of at least fifty years, the essay examines the ways in which Koume's art was integrated with her daily life as household manager, and it explores the transformations of those relationships after the Meiji Restoration. While acknowledging the reality of class and gender ideologies and their effects on daily life, the essay focuses on Koume's determination to contribute meaningfully to her family's social, cultural, and economic life. And in the wake of a decade of disruption and transformation following the Meiji Restoration, it points to the unsung heroism of many women in forging new paths to economic recovery and self-sufficiency.

Zuiryūji has been notably absent from research related to Japan's imperial convents, despite being founded by Toyotomi Hideyoshi's sister. One of the reasons the convent has been overlooked is its relocation from Kyoto to Ōmi Hachiman in the 1960s, physically removing it from the public eye. In addition, a male was appointed head following the death of the last abbess, so officially it was no longer functioning as a convent. However, for more than two hundred and fifty years, it was one of the highest ranking and wealthiest (by landholdings) bikuni gosho in Kyoto, headed by a succession of abbesses heralding from aristocratic families. The founder, Nisshū, was also an important patron for two major Hokke (Nichiren) sect temples, Honkokuji in Kyoto and Kuonji on Mt. Minobu. Historical documents have purportedly not survived at the convent itself, but I discovered many important objects (including portraits) and documents at Zenshōji, where all of the Zuiryūji abbesses are buried. Bringing together what I have uncovered to date, this article comprises an overview of Zuiryūji's history, highlighting the founder as well as the tenth-generation abbess who vastly expanded the convent's network by establishing a women's association with branches throughout Japan. As the only Hokke sect imperial convent in Kyoto, Zuiryūji has always had a unique status. But faced with unprecedented challenges to survive in the modern era, its abbesses broke through the glass walls traditionally defining "convent culture."

中学校理科および高等学校化学で扱われる「色の変化を伴う反応」の一つに,酸塩基指示薬の変色がある。本稿では,種々の酸塩基指示薬とそのpH変化に伴う色の変化,その際に起こっている構造の変化などについて解説する。あわせて,酸塩基指示薬と同じメカニズムで発色するキレート指示薬や,酸塩基指示薬として実験に使われることが多いアントシアニンをはじめとする天然色素についても,発色団の構造の変化について解説を試みた。

状況的要因が依頼の言語的スタイルの変動に及ぼす影響を検討するため, 男子大学生を被験者として, 2つの研究が行われた. 研究1では, 被験者 (73名) は同性・同学年の親しい相手, 疎遠な相手に対する, 依頼表現を筆答した. 疎遠な相手に対しては親しい相手に比べて, 6場面中4場面で依頼型が減少, 意向打診型が増加して, 依頼スタイルは間接化することが明らかになった. 研究2では親しい相手に対する依頼に限って, 依頼内容 (場面) によるスタイルの変動が検討された. 2組の恩恵場面群と1組の修復場面群でそれぞれ, 依頼を履行する際の相手のコストが変数として導入された. 被験者 (43名) は依頼を口頭で答えた. 予想された恩恵場面群だけでなく修復場面群でも, 依頼のコストが増すと依頼型が減少し, 意向打診型が増加した. 以上の結果の考察のほか, 他のスタイルの分布や, 慣用句, 依頼の長さについても分析・考察が行われた.

Early access to novel drugs, regardless of regional differences, is significant for patients worldwide. Although various efforts have been made to reduce the drug lag, it still exists in some regions, including Japan. In this study, we focused on the drug lag of first-in-class drugs in Japan and obtained fundamental information because we considered that first-in-class and me-too drugs are essentially different and should be treated separately. We analyzed 97 first-in-class and 176 me-too drugs in new molecular entity (NME)-approved drugs in Japan and the United States during the fiscal years between 2009 and 2019. Since government policy and the Evaluation Committee on Unapproved or Off-labeled Drugs with High Medical Needs (the Committee) have a huge impact on drug lag, we distinguished NMEs developed at the Committee’s request. First-in-class drugs were developed at the Committee’s request significantly more than the me-too drugs (p = 0.0034). Although it was not statistically significant, the approval lags were 498.0 d for first-in-class drugs and 535.0 d for me-too drugs. Multiple regression analysis showed that multi-regional clinical trial (MRCT) development strategy (p = 0.0043) and foreign origin drugs (p = 0.0072) were a reducing factor and a prolonging factor of drug lag, respectively. In conclusion, the drug lag for first-in-class drug approval was one year. Global drug development using MRCT is one of the most effective development strategies for reducing drug lags.

In this paper, we discuss an autonomous locomotion control of a snake-like robot which is modeled by some links with passive wheels. When the robot locomotes windingly, it should always keep the high locomotable shape, because its locomotability depends on its own shape. Then, we utilized a notion of manipulability to evaluate the locomotability, and proposed a controller to make it autonomously locomote in a desired direction without decreasing the manipulability. In this method, the robot spontaneously generates its gait, so we don't need to design any gaits. Moreover, by some simulations, it was proved that the method realizes the autonomous locomotion without taking singular postures.

The organic cation transporter 2 (OCT2) belongs to the SLC22 family, while the multidrug and toxin extrusion 1 and 2-K (MATE1/MATE2-K) belong to the SLC47 family, are localized to the basolateral and apical membrane of human renal proximal tubular epithelial cells, respectively. They are polyspecific transporters that enable the transit of structurally diversified drugs with overlapping selectivity across plasma membranes. OCT2 and MATE1/2-K are critically involved in renal secretion, pharmacokinetics (PK), and toxicity of cationic drugs. Drug–drug interactions (DDIs) at OCT2 and/or MATE1/2-K have been shown to result in clinical impacts on PK, therapeutic efficacy and are probably involved in the renal accumulation of drugs. Sites of OCT2 and MATE1/2-K expression and function play an essential role in the pharmacokinetics and toxicity of drugs, such as cisplatin. Thus, knowing the sites (basolateral vs. apical) of the interaction of two drugs at transporters is essential to understanding whether this interaction helps prevent or enhance drug-induced nephrotoxicity. In this work, an overview of OCT2 and MATE1/2-K is presented. Primary structure, membrane location, functional properties, and clinical impact of OCT2 and MATE1/2-K are presented. In addition, clinical aspects of DDIs in OCT2 and MATE1/2-K and their involvement in drug nephrotoxicity are compiled.

For an indefinite length spectrogram sequence of phonemes, we experimentally verified two methods of obtaining speaker embedding by transforming it to fixed length: adding padding and time stretching. We confirmed that both methods can maintain the extraction performance. We also confirm that the fixed frame length does not affect the results.
