「こどものじかん・りべろ」でミキちゃんが家以外ではじめてオシッコしたこと,マユちゃんが大声を出して泣くようになったこと,「ウレシパ共同作業所」でケースケ君が甘えるようになったこと,これら3名の子どもたちとのかかわりを通して,「のびのび」こそ,子どもにとって最も大切な育ち・育ての条件と思われることを述べた。常識的に困ったとされる行動であったとしても,大人から見た善し悪しで子どもの行動を性急に評価し規制するのではなく,その行動を今を生きる姿としてあるがままに受け止め,その行動を通して交わることが重要であることを述べ,また,実際の過程は多くの迷い,躓き,悔悟,感動,腹立ちを含むなまなましいものであることにふれた。

本稿では、浦和レッズとその本拠地であるさいたま市浦和地域(旧浦和市)を事例に、プロサッカークラブの発足に伴う「サッカーのまち」の変遷を明らかにした。浦和地域では1960年代から70年代にかけての約20年間の地元高校サッカー部による数々の全国優勝によって「サッカーのまち」としての認識が形成された。1993年に開幕したJリーグ以降は、行政、商店街などにより、サッカーのまちづくりが進められた。2000年代に入ると、浦和レッズも本格的に地域貢献活動に取り組むようになった。このように、Jリーグ開幕時からサッカーのまちづくりが着々と進展した要因は、地域住民の「サッカーのまち」としての認識やアイデンティティがあるためである。さらに、浦和レッズの地域貢献活動は本業のサッカーの強化には繋がらないが、結果として浦和レッズがさらに地域へ受け入れられるものになり、さらには浦和地域の「サッカーのまち」づくりが一層進んでいくものと考えられる。This paper deals with the case of Urawa district in Saitama City which successfully created the "Soccer Town" by establishing its local professional soccer team "Urawa Reds." Historically, winning several national championships of soccer tournaments by local high school teams formed recognition of Urawa district as the "Soccer town" in its 1960s and 1979s. Since the establishment of the national professional soccer league, "J-league" in 1993, both Urawa shopping districts and the local government have enthusiastically promoted the creation of "Soccer town" in Urawa. Urawa Reds itself has also positively participated in local activities since the 2000s. Thus, significant success of the creation of "Soccer town" in Urawa is mainly due to strong recognition and identity by local people as the "Soccer town" in Urawa district. Although such regionally contributing activities is not directly connected with the performance of soccer players in Urawa Reds, the team has received enthusiastic support, contributing to the further success of Urawa district as the "Soccer Town" as a result.

これまでに調べられた多くの河川堆積物は, -2~0φの粒径がヒストグラムの谷となるのに対して,矢作川河床堆積物はおよそ-2φおよび0φの付近にピークが現われる.その原因について,粒径別に礫種・鉱物種の構成比を調べ,さらに流域の大半を占める花醐岩類の造岩鉱物とその風化マサの粒度組成を調べた結果,次の結論を得た.すなわち, -2φおよび0φ付近にピークを持つB・C集団は,それぞれ伊那川・小原岩体の粗粒花歯岩と武節・下山岩体の細粒花歯岩類の造岩鉱物およびその風化マサの粒度組成と密接な関係があり,両岩体の岩石が流送過程で破砕・分解されて鉱物粒子となり,それに風化マサが加わって河床で混合したものであると解した.

Japanese people’s experience of nostalgia was investigated and difference between nostalgia in Japan, and in English-speaking countries were compared. Undergraduate student participants (N=61) were divided into three conditions: “nostalgic recollection”, “ordinary recollection”, and “positive recollection”. Content analysis indicated that consistent with previous studies, Japanese students describe more about themselves, or about a relationship with a specific person during nostalgic narratives than in other narratives. However, the proportion of description including acceptance of the past was lower than in previous studies. Results also indicated that less positive and more negative affect were observed in the nostalgic recollection condition than in the other two conditions. In addition, there was more “bittersweet” affect in the nostalgic recollection condition. Furthermore, no appreciable differences were observed in the three conditions in relation to the three major functions of nostalgia―self-esteem, meaning in life, and perceived social support. We have discussed the necessity for exploring the uniqueness of nostalgia in Japan compared to that in English-speaking countries.

Fire will be the biggest problem for congested area of wooden architecture by Great Kanto Earthquake in the future. So I choose a theme as "Regional Disaster Prevention" to resolve with architecture instead of choosing a large scale development by creating city planning road. In addition, I am expecting prototype for fire prevention in congested area of wooden architecture within 23rd wards.

爪甲剥離症患部からはC.albicansがしばしば検出されるが, 本菌は単に2次的に付着しているにすぎず, 原因の多くは外傷であるとされている。著者らは爪甲剥離症における外傷やC.albicansの役割を検討する目的で, 猿の爪を用いて実験を行なった。爪甲と爪床をその遠位部で鈍的に剥離するのみでも, また爪甲と爪下皮の間にC.albicansを挿入するのみでも爪甲剥離はほとんど生じなかった。一方, 爪甲と爪床をその遠位部で剥離し, 外傷が治癒した後に, C.albicansをその間隙に挿入すれば爪甲剥離が進行し, 人にみられる爪甲剥離症に類似の変化を示した。すなわち, 外傷のみでは爪甲剥離は生じ難く, C.aibicansの関与があれば爪甲剥離が容易に生じるものと考えられる。

Canine degenerative myelopathy (DM) is an adult-onset, progressive neurodegenerative disease that occurs in multiple dog breeds. A DM-associated mutation of the canine superoxide dismutase 1 (SOD1) gene, designated as c.118G>A (p.E40K), has been implicated as one of pathogenetic determinants of the disease in many breeds, but it remains to be determined whether the c.118G>A mutation is responsible for development or progression of DM in Collies. Previously, a Rough Collie was diagnosed clinically and histopathologically as having DM in Japan, suggesting the possibility that the Collie breed may be predisposed to DM due to the high frequency of c.118G>A in Japan. In this study, accumulation and aggregate formation of SOD1 protein were retrospectively demonstrated in the spinal cord of the DM-affected dog by immunohistochemical analysis. Furthermore, a molecular epidemiological survey revealed a high carrier rate (27.6%) and mutant allele frequency (0.138) of c.118G>A in a population of Collies in Japan, suggesting that the Collie breed may be predisposed to DM associated with c.118G>A, and the prevention of DM in Collies in Japan should be addressed through epidemiological and genetic testing strategies.

辛味は、トウガラシの主成分である脂溶性のカプサイシンが三叉神経終末に発現するイオンチャネル型のカプサイシン受容体VR1に結合してカチオン流入から神経興奮が起こることによって知覚される。カプサイシン受容体は感覚神経C線維にのみ発現して辛味を惹起するカプサイシンのみならず痛み刺激であるプロトンや43度以上の熱によっても活性化される多刺激痛み受容体として機能する。遺伝子クローニングされたこの受容体の機能は強制発現系での電気生理学的な解析に加えて受容体欠損マウスの行動解析からも確かめられた。
