投稿論文Panpsychism is the view that all things have mind or a mindlike quality, whether or not they are parts of living organisms. The purpose of this paper is to clarify this basic thesis and examine the historical meaning of the recent resurgence of panpsychism in the contemporary mind-body debate.Modern Physicalism inherited the Cartesian, dualistic conception of matter, which is lifeless and devoid of any experiential character. I will argue that this makes it difficult even for the weakest form of physicalism, namely emergentism or non-reductive materialism, to coherently reconcile its two basic doctorines 'physicalist ontology and reality of mind' and panpsychism more plausible.

仏教では、女性は不浄な穢れた生き物と考えられてきた。そして、僧は女性と交接を行うことを「女犯」として戒律で禁じられ、そのため「女犯」の罪を避けるため、僧は男性、とりわけ稚児を交接の対象としてきたといわれている。 なぜ、僧は女性と交接が行えないという理由で、稚児をその対象としたのか。本研究では、仏教的視点から僧と稚児との男色関係の構造を検討した。 その結果、僧にとって、稚児との交接は単に女性と交接が禁じられているために、性欲の処理という意味だけで行われていたわけではないことがわかった。僧にとって稚児との交接は、現世に醜貌として生まれたがゆえに僧となった者の、美貌である稚児への憧れと、稚児が菩薩であるとする児灌頂の思想のもと、救済と功徳を得るための仏教的な行為として意味づけられ、行われていたのである。

本資料は,朝鮮学校への嫌がらせ事件について京都地裁でおこなわれている裁判のために書いた意見書を全文活字化したものである。前半は,朝鮮学校の現状に関する説明である。日本および朝鮮民主主義人民共和国のカリキュラムとの比較,教科書の歴史的な変遷,朝鮮学校の組織体系などについて論じた。後半では,まず日本における民族教育史をたどりながら,民族教育権という概念が弾圧と抵抗の歴史のなかで編み出されてきたことを論じた。次に,保護者が子どもの言語習得や自尊心の確立を願って朝鮮学校を選択していること,受け身ではなく自分たちの学校と認識しながら子どもを送っていることも述べた。その上で,本件が,歴史的にも他国との比較においても典型的なレイシズム事件に他ならないことを論証した。

Background Although cholesterol management reportedly reduces fatal and non-fatal coronary heart disease (CHD) events in subjects with or without evident atherosclerotic disease, it is still uncertain whether these benefits extend to Japanese. Methods and Results The study group comprised 8,009 subjects with mildly elevated total cholesterol who were randomized to treatment with 10-20 mg pravastatin plus diet (2,691 women, 1,267 men) or diet alone (2,758 women, 1,293 men). The groups were extremely well balanced with respect to baseline demographics and risk factors such as blood pressure and plasma lipids. Over a 5-year period of follow-up, the primary end-points will be a composite of fatal and non-fatal coronary events. Secondary end-points will include stroke and transient ischemic attack, all cardiovascular events and total mortality. Conclusions The 2 groups will be followed up until the end of March 2004 and end-points will be analyzed by full analysis set. (Circ J 2004 ; 68 : 860-867)

ビデオゲームの進化の方向性をインタラクションデザインの立場から考察する。近年のビデオゲーム(以下では単にゲームと呼ぶ)は、対象ユーザの拡大、コンテンツの広がりと言う 2 点において、従来のゲームとは明らかに違う様相を呈している。これをここではゲーム 20 と呼び、従来のゲームをゲーム 10 と呼ぶ。従来のゲーム (ゲーム 1.0) とこれからのゲーム (ゲーム 2.0) の各々について、インタラクションデザインとの関係性、つまり、ゲームのインタフェースのコンピュータインタフェースに及ぼすべき影響と逆にコンピュータインタフェースがゲームのインタフェースに与える影響の両者を、具体的な事例に即して論じる。この論点から、ゲームのインタフェースおよびコンピュータのインタフェースのそれぞれの、今後の方向性についても言及する。In this paper, the authors argue on the evolution of video games from the viewpoint of interaction design. Recent video games have unique trends that they have newer user layers and their contents enter a newer domains. These points are quite different from the older games and their contents. Therefore we call the newer games as Game 2.0 and the older ones as Game 1.0. The authors also discuss about the relationship between the game interface and computer interface, and how each of them influences to the other and vice versa.
