死者儀礼においては,人の存在様態の変化により,その身体の状況と取扱い方に大きな変化がおきてくる。身体を超えて死者が表象される一方,身体性を帯びた物質が儀礼などの場でたびたび登場するなど,身体と人格の関係を考える上でも死はさまざまな課題を抱えている。葬儀では身体性を帯びた遺骨だけでなく,遺影もまた重要な表象として,現在ではなくてはならないものとなっている。なかでもいわゆる無宗教葬においては,遺影のみの儀礼も多く,そこでは最も重要な死者表象となって亡き人を偲び,死者を礼拝するための存在となっている。ところで遺影として使用された写真は,生前のある時点の一断面でありながら,一方で死者の存在そのものを想起させるものである。しかしこうしたまなざしは,写真が人々の間で使用されるようになった当初からあったのであろうか。本稿では追悼のための葬儀記録として作られた葬儀写真集の肖像写真の取り扱われ方の変化を通して,遺影に対するまなざしの変化を検討した。そこでは写真集が作られ始めた明治期から,巻頭に故人の肖像が用いられるが,撮影時に関するキャプションが入れられている。しかし明治末期から大正期にになると次第に撮影時に関する情報がキャプションに入らなくなり,さらに黒枠等を利用して葬儀写真との連続性が見られなくなっていく。つまり当初,撮影時のキャプションを入れることで,生から死への過程を表現するものとして,肖像は位置付けられていた。これはプロセスを意識する葬列絵巻とも相通じるものであった。しかし後になると,撮影時に関する情報を入れないことで時間性を取り除いたかたちで使用され,肖像は死者を総体的に表象するものとして位置付けられるようになったのである。こうして写真が生の一断面でありながら死者として見なす視線が次第に醸成されていったことがわかる。

製品の使用年数分布は耐久財のストックや排出量を推計する上で不可欠な情報である。日本では比較的多くのデータが報告されているが,推定に費用と労力,詳細な情報が必要であることから特に海外の情報は不足している。本研究では,基礎情報が比較的入手しやすい自動車を対象に世界各国の使用年数分布を推定し,各国間の比較を行った。また,分布パラメータの一般化を検討し,より簡易な使用年数分布推定の可能性を示した。

十八世紀前半の歌劇場の花形はカストラートが演じる男性主人公であり,彼らが悲嘆に暮れる場面が全幕のクライマックスであった。メタスタジオの音楽劇において,主人公である貴公子は優しく典雅な姿に描かれ,彼らが愛する人々に別れを告げて泣きながら去る様子に,当時の観客は涙を抑えられなかったという。とりわけ主人公が無実の罪で牢獄に捕らわれる場面は人気が高く,不運な王子が傷つき苦しむ姿に人々は熱狂した。一方で彼らのパートナーとなる女性主人公は誇り高く雄弁な,理想化された貴婦人である。王子たちは彼女を崇拝し,彼女を通して美徳を学ぶ。威厳を備えた貴婦人と,女性よりも優しく繊細な心を持つ貴公子という組み合わせが当時のオペラにおける理想のカップルである。そして高い音域で歌うカストラートという人種は,そんな男性主人公を表現するために最も適していたのである。

ハリウツド映画に登場した新しいタイプの行動的なヒロイン像の分析を通じて,性別役割分担論や女性の社会的地位に関する現実と理念の変容を読む。そこに現われた女性の自己決定への強い意志は,他方では身体を通じて表象されてきた「女性らしさ/男性らしさ」というジェンダー規範そのものの変容として表現されようとしており,そのような規範に対する根本的な疑問の出発点ともなり得るだろう。

This paper explores the structure of sport culture using the concept of the “constructive outside” as proposed by Judith Butler. Issues of “sexual commodification” by female athletes, such as nude representations, have been on the rise since around 2000. Although most scholars explain this as resulting from a lack of funds for women's sport, explanation is based on the notion that a “woman” is a consistent entity. In addition, such perspective may ignore the power of sporting norms that implicitly universalize “masculinity” in sport. In this paper, I am concerned with the relation between the issues of the “sexual commodification” of female athletes and the function of the “constructive outside” that always surrounds sporting norms.

The Paracalanus parvus (Claus, 1863) species complex is a common marine calanoid copepod found in the world’s oceans. Recent genetic analyses of its specimens from the world oceans revealed that the complex in the western North Pacific consists of three species, i.e., P. indicus Wolfenden, 1905, P. tropicus Andronov, 1977 and an undescribed species. We assign the last one to be Paracalanus orientalis n. sp. by comparing it with previous morphological descriptions of related species. Both sexes of the new species are fully described based on genetically identified specimens from the surface layer of the south of Japan. The new species can be reliably distinguished from P. indicus and P. tropicus by the hunchback shape of the female if it is clearly present. Among the three species, the high length:width ratio of the third exopod segment of leg 4 is also characteristic of the new species, which would be identifiable, in most cases, by having a ratio of 5.4 or more.

本研究では,「居場所」の心理的機能の構造とその発達的変化について検討した。「居場所」の心理的機能の構造を分析するために, 自由記述により得られた居場所の選択理由と先行研究を検討して作成した尺度を用いて, 小・中・高校生を対象に調査を行った。その結果,「居場所」の心理的機能には, 「被受容感」「精神的安定」「行動の自由」「思考・内省」「自己肯定感」「他者からの自由」の6因子があることが明らかとなった。「居場所」を他者の存在により,「自分ひとりの居場所」「家族のいる居場所」「家族以外の人のいる居場所」に分類した結果, 小学生では「家族のいる居場所」, 中・高校生では「自分ひとりの居場所」が多いことが明らかとなり, 発達段階により選択される「居場所」が異なってくることが示された。この3分類により心理的機能の比較分析を行った結果, それぞれの「居場所」の固有性が明らかとなった。

This study investigated whether junior college female students overly estimate the rates of those who have sexual experiences among university, high school and junior high school students, and whether these estimations differ with the frequency of the exposure to mass media and with their own sexual experiences. Thirty-six junior college female students replied to the questionnaires. The results show that respondents estimated the rates of those who have sexual experiences higher than the actual rates in all grades for both men and women. The more they read magazines and watch television, the higher they estimated that rates of university students. Those who have sexual experiences estimated that rates of high school and university students higher than those who do not have. The influences of this overestimation to young people were discussed.

Gentiana zollingeri (Gentianaceae) is an initial mycoheterotrophic plant that depends on a specific group of arbuscular mycorrhizal (AM) fungi for carbon source during underground growth after seed germination. In this study, a mycorrhizal fungus dominant in mycoheterotrophic seedlings of G. zollingeri was successfully isolated from a soil core collected from a point close to a flowering G. zollingeri. The AM fungal isolate was identified as conspecific or closely related to Dominikia aurea (Glomeraceae) by spore morphology and molecular phylogeny. Basic Local Alignment Search Tool (BLAST) searches against the MaarjAM database showed that the nuclear small subunit ribosomal DNA sequences of the isolate matched the AM fungal sequences obtained from a wide range of plants in various ecosystems, including several mycoheterotrophs. Thus, it is suggested that the AM fungal isolate is one of the cheating susceptible AM fungi. Furthermore, the sequences corresponded to those of a group of AM fungi dominantly detected in Japanese temperate forests. Accordingly, there is a possibility that mycoheterotrophic plants, including seedlings of G. zollingeri, may target AM fungi with a wide host range and ubiquitous distribution.

要旨:症例は21歳女性。生魚を摂取し,12時間後に下腹部痛を主訴に当院を受診した。腹部所見上は下腹部に著明な圧痛がみられ,造影CTで有症状部位に一致して限局性の小腸壁の肥厚,腹腔内遊離ガス像,腹水を認め,小腸穿孔の診断で同日緊急手術となった。手術所見では,小腸に2mm大の穿孔部位がみられ,周囲は発赤し浮腫状であり,小腸部分切除を行った。病理組織診断の結果,穿孔部近傍に好中球と好酸球の浸潤を伴う寄生虫像を認め,寄生虫による小腸穿孔と診断した。また,血液検査にて抗アニサキス抗体陽性でありアニサキス症による小腸穿孔と診断した。アニサキス症のうち小腸アニサキスは4~8%程度と報告され,その中でも小腸穿孔の報告は極めて少なく,2012年までの本邦医中誌検索では本症例を含め4例の報告しかない。今回われわれは小腸アニサキス症による小腸穿孔の1例を経験したため文献的考察を加えて報告する。
