黒鉛炉AASによるインジウムの定量に対する共存塩化物の干渉の抑制及びインジウムの測定感度の向上について検討した.ニッケルとアルミニウムの硝酸塩の共存はインジウムの原子吸収感度を増加させる.一方EDTAはインジウムと共存陽イオンに対してマスキング剤として作用し, 塩化物は塩化アンモニウムとして乾燥・灰化過程で容易に除去されるので, 塩化物干渉が抑制される.マスキングの効果は酢酸塩の添加においても認められた.ニッケルとアルミニウムの硝酸塩及びEDTAアンモニウム塩の混合物をマトリックス修飾剤として試料溶液に添加する方法により, 未添加の場合に比ベインジウム感度は20倍上昇し, 塩化物の許容共存量は400〜1000倍に増加した.

A mutant strain of Escherichia coli, O8-442,requiring lipoic acid (LiA) for both aerobic and anaerobic growth in a minimal medium with glucose as a sole carbon source was isolated. The requirment for LiA could be replaceable by either acetate+succinate or acetate+lysine+methionine under aerobic conditions, but anaerobically it grew on either acetate or succinate alone. Pyruvate markedly stimu1ated.the respiration of the mutant cells grown aerobically on LiA and the addition of LiA did not cause a further stimulation. Conversely, results obtained with the cells grown aerobically on acetate+ lysine+methionine was quite different ; the degree of the pyruvate-oxidizing activity was very low but the activity was fully restored by the addition of LiA. In the same system, lipoamide (LiANH_2) was found to have no activity for the respiration of the mutant cells, while it was more active than LiA when extracts prepared from the mutant cells were used. These results suggest that the de novo synthesis of LiA is blocked in the mutant strain. A permeability barrier appears to be involved in the utilization of LiANH_2.

This paper aims to grasp and evaluate the present condition of the main streets in central Taipei City that was once under the occupation of japan. At frrst,the way of utilization, the structure and so on of each street are investigated by the field surveys. Then, the streets are evaluated from the viewpoints of safety,smoothness,scenery,location etc. based on japanese and Taiwanese students' consciousness. As the results, it is made clear that japanese students tend to regard "location" as more important factor and Taiwanese students tend to regard "safety" as more important factor in the evaluation of the streets.

十三世紀後半書写の瑞光寺蔵の訓読の仮名書き法華経九品九軸は零本であるが、一巻経が裁断されて現在の姿になったものと思われる。その訓法は、天台宗系統のものと考えられ、「而」字の副詞の訓「シカク」・敬語動詞「マヰアフ」他、珍しい和訓も交えて読んでいる。本経巻は、能筆で料紙も美麗な雲紙を用いており、装飾経としても優品であるので、手鑑の中に貼り込まれて伝わる例も多いようである。残りの経巻の発見が期待される。

Psychological experiments using 42 personal computers (Hitachi B16/EX) were introduced for the following purposes : (1) to understand research methods of psychology through the experience of participating in experiments : (2) to know the characteristics of a computer and its applicability to various kinds of problem solving. The students specializing in economics, were given BASIC programs and were to carry out experiments concerning memory and perception. This method was supported by most students, in that they were interested in using a computer and conducting experiments for themselves. However, some students complained of being unable to well understand the meaning of each experiment and the significance of computer-experimentation. Finally, the position of such usage in computer education and its influence on the progress of psychology were discussed.
