通常とは違った特徴を持つ子どもが生まれることは民俗社会の中では歓迎されざることであった。そのことは、民俗社会の中で語られるさまざまな話の中からもうかがうことができる。しかしこのような子どもが却って富をもたらすと説明する話もある。ここでは現実との関わりによって語られる、しかも事実そのものとはいえない話(世間話)を例として検討しながら通常とは違う子どもに対する「過剰な意味づけ」を問うていきたいと考えている。「歓迎される」異常児として「福子」が、「忌避される」異常児として「鬼子」が挙げられる。「福子」には自身を犠牲にして「家」の繁栄をもたらすイメージがある。一方「鬼子」には「富」とともに「他界」からもたらされるイメージと、歓待されることによって「富」をもたらすイメージがある。異常児が、富とともに他界からもたらされるというイメージは、異常児の去来によって家の盛衰が決定されるという話へとつながるであろう。また異常児の誕生という不幸によって「富」の獲得という幸福とのバランスをとろうとする家の外部の者の心意もうかがうことができる。子どもの「異常」の説明のために「富」の推移が語られ、家の盛衰の説明のために「異常児」の誕生が語られたことが推測される。その際に「異常児」は家の盛衰と密接に結びついた霊的な存在と受け取られていたといえるであろう。

α-セドレンの四酢酸鉛による酸化を60℃およが80℃で行ない,5-セドラノン[1],5-インセドラノン[2],5-アセトキシー5-セドレン[3],5α-アセトキシー6-セドレン[4],6α-セドラナール[5],13-アセトキシー5-セドレン[6],6β-アセトキシセドラン[7]および5,6-ジアセトキシセドラン[8]の8種の酸化生成物を得た。また,反応温度115℃では[3]~[7]の5種の酸化生成物を得た。これらの反癒生成物の構造をIR,NMRおよびMSスペクトルから明らかにした。

<b>【目的】</b>宮崎大学フロンティア科学実験総合センターではマウス(<i>Mus</i>属)やラット(<i>Rattus</i>属)とは異なる分類群である<i>Apodemus</i>属の1種,ヨーロッパモリネズミ(<i>Apodemus sylvaticus</i>)を飼育維持している。本種は高脂血症を自然発症し,さらには高コレステロール飼料給与によりアテローム性動脈硬化が誘導される個体や,Ⅱ型糖尿病様の病態を呈する個体が存在することから新たな病態モデル動物候補として特性評価研究を進めている。本研究では自然交配により維持している本種のコロニーを効率的に管理するために必要な,卵子および胚の凍結保存法開発に向けた知見の集積を目的として,卵子および2細胞期胚の水と耐凍剤の膜透過性を評価することによって凍結保存の可能性を検討した。<b>【材料・方法】</b>排卵誘起処理後M-II期卵子と,雄との自然交配を経て得た2細胞期胚を回収し,15℃および25℃でスクロースおよび5種類の耐凍剤(グリセロール,DMSO,エチレングリコール,プロピレングリコール,アセトアミド)添加PB1液に曝露し,経時的な相対体積変化から水透過性(μm/min/atm:Lp)および耐凍剤透過性(×10^–3cm/min:Ps)を算出した。<b>【結果・考察】</b>25℃での卵子および2細胞期胚のLpは,15℃の値よりも2倍以上高かった。 また卵子および2細胞期胚のPsは,グリセロールで0.01~0.05と非常に低く,その他の耐凍剤で0.23~2.26を示し,また15℃よりも25℃で高い値を示した。このことから水と耐凍剤は温度依存的に膜を透過していると考えられた。これらの結果は,マウスで報告されている値と非常に近似しているため,本種における卵子および2細胞期胚の凍結保存法はマウスと同様の手法が適用できる可能性がある。今後はさらに発生の進んだ胚のLpおよびPsを測定するとともに,これらの凍結保存を試みたい。

PDT is based on the generation of singlet oxygen (<SUP>1</SUP>O<SUB>2</SUB>) in a photochemical reaction among a tumor-accumulated photosensitizer, irradiation light, and oxygen in a tumor, and the detection of <SUP>1</SUP>O<SUB>2</SUB> is very important for understanding the mechanism of PDT. We used a near-infrared detection system to detect a 1270nm emission that was derived from the <SUP>1</SUP>O<SUB>2</SUB>. Utilizing this system, we detected the generation of <SUP>1</SUP>O<SUB>2</SUB> from Photofrin dissolved in water or injected in a HeLa tumor-bearing mouse. We showed the irradiation power dependence of the generation of <SUP>1</SUP>O<SUB>2</SUB> in 5-ALA-mediated PDT with 9L cells and 9L tumor-bearing rats. High-power irradiation reduced the generation of <SUP>1</SUP>O<SUB>2</SUB> more than that with low power, and an MTT assay revealed that more 9L cells were killed by low-powered irradiation. In tumors, low-powered irradiation resulted in efficient tumor necrosis. Generations of <SUP>1</SUP>O<SUB>2</SUB> in ICG and TiO<SUB>2</SUB> irradiation are also described.

In this paper, to improve the spatiotemporal resolution and to reduce the invasiveness, we genetically introduce Optically-Manipulated molecular switch, channelrhodopsin (ChR), into sarcoplasmic reticulum (SR) of C2C12 myoblast, mouse muscle cell lines. A myotube inserted with SR-targeted ChR can respond rapidlier than a myotube inserted with non-targeted ChR for 10-20 ms. A myotube inserted with SR-targeted ChR can contraction only by intracellular ion transportation. We can control intracellular Ca^<2+> ion of the myotube. This technique could facilitate the studies on the myogenesis, the stem cell therapy for muscular disorder, and the bioengineering using the muscle-powered actuator.

数学が苦手な学生のやり直し学習に着目し,従来の数学とは視点を変えた,「ビジネス数学」の「5つの力」の向上をめざす講義を行い,学生の数学に対する苦手意識の改善,および,数的リテラシーの向上をめざした。その結果,多くの学生の数的リテラシーの改善が見られた。

Free-living fresh water Platyhelminthes except for the order Tricladida (planaria) are collectively called microturbellaria, most species of which are less than a few millimeters in length. The ecology and the fauna of microturbellarians in rice fields has not been clarified in detail since Okugawa (1932) reported the morphological and ecological characters of all microturbellarian species that had been observed in Japan. This might be because the observation of living microturbellarians is needed for their identification. To survey phylogenetic diversity of microturbellarians in ten Japanese rice paddy fields, after DNA was extracted from all microturbellarian individuals that were collected in each field, the composition of the amplified 18S rRNA gene fragments of each sample was surveyed by clone library analysis. We also collected Stenostomum species in some of the same fields, identified them on the basis of morphological characters, and checked whether the 18S rRNA fragments of these species were contained within those of microturbellarians that were obtained by clone library analysis. Twenty-eight types of 18S rRNA gene fragments of microturbellarians were isolated on the basis of the difference in the sequence, and they were divided into seven families of microturbellarians (Stenostomidae, Catenulidae, Typhloplanidae, Dalyellidae, Gyratricidae, Macrostomidae, and Microstomidae). We identified four Stenostomum species of Stenostomidae (Stenostomum grande Child 1902, Stenostomum simplex Kepner & Carter 1931, Stenostomum tuberculosum Nuttycombe & Waters 1938, Stenostomum saliens Kepner & Carter 1931) that had never been reported in rice fields. The sequences of 18S rRNA gene fragments of Stenostomidae in the floodwater around rice plants showed the highest diversity, and they were closely related to Stenostomum leucops (Duges 1828) O. Schmidt 1848, S. grande, S. simplex, S. tuberculosum, S. saliens, Stenostomum heebuktense Larsson & Willems 2010, and Rhynchoscolex simplex Leidy 1851. 18S rRNA gene fragments of Catenulidae and Typhloplanidae showed high diversity, and those of Microstomidae, Macrostomidae, Gyratricidae, and Dalyellidae were also retrieved. These molecular biological techniques revealed that many unidentified groups of microturbellarians inhabited rice fields.

近い将来, 私達の生活空間において, 一家に一台, または一人に一台のお手伝いロボットが出現すると思われる。私が所属する研究室では7年前からパーティー会場等で飲み物などのサービスを行うロボットの研究が行われてきた。さらに, 5年前より始まった最先端ロボット技術コンクール(喫茶店のウェイター/ウェイトレスをモチーフにしたもの)に毎年出場し, サービスロボットの開発も行われてきた。ここでは, 第5回大会に出場しロボットの一台について報告する。

On user generated contents sites, user's comments include the user's impression to the content. The authors believe that user's comments can be used as the data mining resource to evaluate the contents. In this paper, the authors focus on bilibili.tv, a Chinese video sharing site, and analyze user's emotional comments on the site. They also show co-relation between comments and popularity such as number of replay and bookmark.

本稿は,中・上級「漢字」および上級「文法」の授業において実施したMoodleを用いたオンライン定期試験についての報告である。文法,語彙,漢字といった知識を問う試験は,教科書や辞書で調べるとすぐに答えを探すことができることから,遠隔での試験実施の場合,試験の公平性を保つにはさまざまな工夫が必要となる。そこで,Moodleの解答時間の制限機能やランダム問題表示を活用したり,文字データを用いずに画像で表示したり,出題内容を辞書等で調べるだけでは答えにくいものに変更したりするなどの対応を取って実施したところ,従来の教室での用紙配布による定期試験と受験者の得点分布について明らかな差は見られなかった。受験者からは試験時間が短かったという声やインターネットの接続状況があまりよくなかったという声も聞かれたが,全体的には支障なく実施できた。
