Stratospheric aerosols over the high Arctic at Ny Ålesund, Svalbard (79°N, 12°E) were observed continuously for four years from March 2014 by a lidar system using the second harmonic wavelength (532 nm) of the Nd:YAG laser. Our observations reveal the seasonal features of stratospheric aerosols and the arrival of the smoke at the high Arctic from Canadian forest-fire in August 2017. We estimated the seasonal variation for three years before the Canadian forest-fire when there was no apparent volcanic effect. In the estimation, we removed polar stratospheric clouds by the threshold temperature of their formation. The seasonal variation for the three years is that the vertical profiles of the backscattering ratio take a maximum value of about 1.05-1.06 at altitudes between 13 and 16 km from December to March, and about 1.02-1.04 at altitudes between 17 and 20 km from April to November. These results are compared with the results observed at the low Arctic, northern Norway. We also present the increases in the backscattering ratio and the volume depolarization ratio from September to December 2017 caused by the smoke from the Canadian forest-fire.

Hitherto, we have made the body-region separately weighing system by way of trial, and clarified the measurement of six body regions by taking a horizontal position to be possible under a certain specified measuring condition, and also, reported the measurement of the weight of trunk composed of upper and lower trunk might be possible by measuring their weights separately. In this study, the details of the measurement method of seven body region weights by use of a body-region separately weighing system were described. By using a body-region separately weighing system which was made with commercially obtained seven platform weighing machine and a laptop computer by way of trial, the weights of the seven body regions of a human body in a horizontal position, namely, the head, right and left arms, upper and lower trunk and right and left legs were confirmed to be measurable almost at the same time, with a good reproducibility. Thus, it was found that the measurement of the seven body regions of a subject was possible, and especially, by holding breath of the subject for a while, a remarkable reduction in the variation of the measured weight values, especially those of upper and lower trunk was clearly observed.

本稿は, 安全安心まちづくりの全国展開から10年を経た現在, 全国初の民間交番を開設した仙台市宮町地区防犯協会を事例に, 「地域セキュリティの論理」を分析枠組みとして地域防犯体制の構造転換を明らかにする. その際, 都市計画道路として開発が進められてきた北四番丁岩切線に着目し, 中心・周辺・郊外のマクロな都市構造の変化と, 区制の導入および警察管区の再編というメゾ次元の地域構造の変化によって, 地区防犯協会と地域社会がどのように影響をうけてきたのかという観点から論じる. 仙台市の拡大に伴い北四番丁岩切線は拡張を繰り返し, 市の区制移行を契機として中江交番は幸町へと移転した. 中江・小田原地区から分離・新設された幸町防犯協会は, 地区の再開発のなかで新たな活動をはじめた. 他方で, 中江がインナーエリアとしての様相を強めるなか, 中江・小田原地区防犯協会は宮町地区防犯協会に編入され, 宮町民間交番が開設された. 当初, 民間交番は地域の「居場所」として応用的な活動をみせた. しかし, 町内会連合会は民間交番の運営の不備を巡り紛糾した. アノミー状況をのりこえるために, 民間交番は合理的組織構成を正統性に据えた組織に刷新された. これにより脱領域的な広域の活動が可能となる一方で, 安全安心まちづくりにより地域セキュリティの論理の疎外が生じた. これを対象化しつつ地域に根ざす活動の可能性を見いだすことが今後の課題となる.

The computer graphical method for analysis of remote sensing multi-spectral image data is proposed. Three-dimensional histogram is constructed in three-dimensional feature space from the image data and represented by three-dimensional computer graphics. On the histogram fine structure of distribution of data in the feature space can be observed. Therefore the categories of remote sensing multi-spectral image data can be identified easily on the computer screen. Each distribution of water, vegetation and soil etc. has its charasteristic features in the histogram. One of the most distinguished features is that distribution of data of each category is long and narrow, and the principle component axes of the categories concentrate on a point near the origin of the feature space.

A new jumping spider species, Chinattus prabodhi sp. nov. is described based on female specimens collected from Assam State of India. Females of the new species can be distinguished from other known congeners by the epigyne lacking a distinctive circular median pocket, the long, narrow and arching copulatory ducts, aligned posteriorly at the copulatory openings, and the oblong spermathecae. With the discovery of the new species, the genus Chinattus Logunov 1999 is reported for the first time from India.

近年ネコ飼育頭数の増加傾向に伴い獣医臨床現場においてネコの下部尿路疾患(Lower urinary tract disease (LUTD))を治療する機会が増えつつある中で,原因の特定に至らず治療方針の決定に時間を要する症例も少なくない.中でも下部尿路疾患の2–10%の症例において細菌感染が認められる.MALDI-BioTyper Systemとrapid BACproを応用し,ネコの尿における直接菌種同定を試み,検査の感度及び時間の短縮について検討を行った.本法は,ネコの尿中における細菌種の同定分析を短時間に可能にする方法である.

The TOM complex is the main entry gate for mitochondrial proteins. Recently we determined the Cryo-EM structure of the yeast TOM complex at 3.8 Å resolution. The structure shows the dimeric form consisting of two Tom40 β-barrel channels and α-helical transmembrane subunits. The structure-based biochemical analysis revealed that presequence-containing preproteins pass through the Tom40 channel in the middle of the dimer and are transferred to the TIM23 complex. On the other hand, presequence-less preproteins leave the channel at the periphery of the TOM complex and are relayed to the chaperone proteins. Our results demonstrate the efficient transfer mechanism of preproteins.

本論は橋本忍の脚本を岡本喜八が監督した映画『日本のいちばん長い日』における昭和天皇表象の研究である。初めに 2019年現在の研究状況や岡本の作家的な経歴における天皇の問題を確認した上(第 I節)、劇中に張り巡らされた様々な水準のコミュニケーションに着目しつつ『日本のいちばん長い日』の長大な物語を整理した(第II 節)。次に映画大詰の玉音放送の場面を構成する映像=音響の相関性を精査し、先行の玉音放送表象などとも比較しつつ、『日本のいちば ん長い日』が試みる二重の異化と一重の相対化を指摘した(第III節)。さらに映画半ばの天皇による「大東亜戦争終結ノ詔書」の署名、玉音盤の吹込と特攻出撃の並行編集に焦点を絞り、第一に「サウンド・ブリッジ」を活用した音響設計(第IV節)、第二に天皇役の 8代目・ 松本幸四郎と特攻基地の指揮官・野中大佐役の伊藤雄之助の関係に着目しつつ(第V節)、天皇表象に暗示的に仕掛られた価値転覆性を指摘した。

近年、卑近なものを題材にしながら大胆な構成、目を見張る色彩で装飾的にも芸術としても高い評価を得ている伊藤若冲作品の特徴を色彩、題材、作者の生き方などから分析する。若冲作品はその成立から250 年を経て現代もなお斬新な驚きをもって広く受け入れられている。主に、若冲作品の初期の代表作「動植綵絵」の分析によって見えてくるものについて、分析心理学、禅宗、華厳教の視点からその作品創造の原点を検討する。それによって、芸術の専門家とは異なった視点からその作品の意義、美しさの意味、および作者の深層の心情を明らかにすることを意図した。結果として、若冲の動物綵絵は、決して派手な色彩で彩られているわけではなく、地味な背景に輝く白が特徴的であった。題材は、卑近な生物の緻密な描写から想像上の生き物の模写まで幅広く、構図はむしろ抑制と熟慮の利いたものであった。その緻密な描写による生命の迸りには、臨済禅宗徒の絵師伊藤若冲の心の深い境涯への没入と見性が示唆された。彼こそは真の芸術家と呼ばれるに相応しい稀有な存在であることが示唆された。

インスリンカートリッジに針を装着したまま保管したときの空気混入,およびインスリン製剤の品質に対する影響を検討した.4種類のインスリンプレフィルド製剤を用いて,注射針を装着したまま19日間20°Cの温度変化を与えて保管した.結果はどの注入器もインスリンカートリッジ内に空気混入が認められ,気泡の大きさは経時的に増加した.さらに懸濁インスリン製剤では,空気混入のほかにインスリン濃度の濃縮化が見られた.したがって,注射後に注射針を装着したままインスリン注入器を保管すると,注入精度の低下などから血糖コントロールに対して悪影響をおよぼす可能性が高いといえる.患者へはセーフティーマネジメントの一環として,注射針は使用後すぐに取りはずすことと注射前にカートリッジ内に混入した気泡を「空打ち(試し打ち)」で抜くよう指導する必要がある.

この論文は,奈良時代から平安初期まで,漢文が日本の和歌に与えた影響を分析することを目標としている。このテーマは色々な観点からアプローチができるが,私の観点は,日本語の表記または表現に漢文がどのような影響を与えたかに焦点を絞ることにする。具体的に,どのようなプロセスを通じて平安初期に,905年に編纂された「古今和歌集」に和歌が仮名表記で書かれ始めて,それから,その形に固まって,和歌の発展に大きく促進をもたらし,今日まで変わらないままで続いたかはこの論文の試みである。

動脈解離は我が国の脳卒中の0.7%を占め,その71.9%は虚血性発症であり,特に若年性脳 卒中の原因として重要な疾患である.我が国の動脈解離は後方循環,しかも頭蓋内椎骨動脈が多 く,破裂によるくも膜下出血の危険性を伴うことから,内科的治療選択が難しい問題がある.経静 脈血栓溶解療法については,動脈解離でも問題がなかったという報告が多いが,ほとんどは頭蓋外 動脈解離であり,頭蓋内動脈解離については慎重に症例を選択する必要がある.頭蓋外動脈解離を 対象とした無作為比較試験であるCervical Artery Dissection in Stroke Study(CADISS)では抗血小板療法 と抗凝固療法では転帰に差が認められなかったが,イベント数が少なく,動脈解離における抗血栓 療法についての臨床試験の難しさが明らかとなった.わが国で多い頭蓋内動脈解離については,出 血のリスクを考慮して,繰り返す画像診断で瘤形成がないことを確認しながら抗血栓療法の適応の 有無を慎重に検討する必要がある.

溶出試験は廃棄物の有害性評価の一指標として広く用いられている。しかし, その方法が多様であるため, 結果の科学的な解釈が難しい, 異なる方法による結果の比較ができないなどの問題を抱えている。これを解決する手段として最大溶出可能量を測定することを目的とした溶出試験が注目されている。本研究では, 都市ごみ焼却飛灰中に含まれる重金属を対象として攪拌強度, 固液比, 接触時間, pHの溶出操作条件をパラメータとした溶出実験を行い, それぞれの条件下で溶出する金属量を調べることによって最大溶出可能量を調べるための溶出操作条件について検討した。その結果, カドミウム, 銅, 亜鉛およびマンガンについては最大溶出可能量を把握する溶出条件を設定できた。しかし, この条件では鉄の溶出量は接触時間の影響を, 鉛の溶出量は固液比および酸の種類による影響を受けることが明らかとなった。このように成分によって溶出の制限となる操作因子が異なるため, 最大溶出可能量を把握するための溶出試験方法を決めるには, 対象成分に応じて適当な溶出操作条件を検討する必要があることが示された。

Lead (Pb), a metal harmful to health, was found to be leached from ceramic kitchenware into a 5% acetic acid solution when the solution was held in the kitchenware for 90 min. This leaching of Pb was higher from dark-colored ceramic kitchenware such as green and brown than from light-colored ware. Pb was also observed to be leached when the ware containing vinegar samples or organic acids was heated for 1 min in a microwave oven. Acetic acid and oxalic acid, among the organic acids tested, were the most prominent for leaching out of Pb. Contamination of foods by Pb might therefore occur when acidic foods in ceramic kitchenware are heated in a microwave oven.
