KARAOKE is a popular amusement for old and young. Many KARAOKE machines have singing evaluation function. However, it is often said that the scores given by KARAOKE machines do not match human evaluation. In this paper a KARAOKE scoring method strongly correlated with human evaluation is proposed. This paper proposes a way to evaluate songs based on the distance between singing pitch and musical scale, employing a vibrato extraction method based on template matching of spectrum. The results show that correlation coefficients between scores given by the proposed system and human evaluation are -0.76∼-0.89.

Doxepin, one of tricyclic antidepressants was examined as to whether or not it possesses a diazepam-like effect. Water-deprived rats were tested in an apparatus where they drank water under two kinds of conflict schedules.<br> A clear diazepam-like effect was observed after long term administration of doxepin in the approach-withdrawal conflict schedule, although the potency was weaker than that of diazepam. In approach-avoidance conflict schedule a slight effect only was exhibited after doxepin.<br> No marked sign was detected in the experiments after withdrawal of daily administration of doxepin.

It is necessary for local governments to give a rational explanation to citizens when introducing regulations to limit private rights to perform the scene formation. The local government, however, only can describe the necessity of performing the scene formation, but cannot show its significance. Therefore, it is important to explain the objectivity to perform the radical scene formation. Thus, in this study, I quantify city area scenes in Kyoto and calculate the economic effect of the scene formation by estimating land prices function. In addition, I examined the scene maintenance policy that considers the economic effect of the scene formation, aiming at performing the radical scene formation.

本論は、景観整備の価値を経済的な側面から明らかにする目的で、地価公示及び固定資産税路線価を用いたヘドニック・アプローチによって地価関数を推計している。対象地域として、景観条例や重要伝統的建造物群保存地区に着目し、長い間景観行政が行われてきた金沢市、倉敷市、萩市を取り上げて分析する。分析の結果は次のような概要となっている。1)金沢市全域について、景観規制に係わる要素として、近代的都市景観創出区域のみが説明変数として採用された。2)地区単位で推計した結果、金沢市内の異なる景観規制がかけられた複数地区の比較で、高度地区12m は、伝建地区とともに指定された場合にのみ地価を上昇させており、伝建地区の経済的効果を明らかにした。3)一方、 用途地域などの条件の異なる他都市の伝建地区との比較の結果、倉敷市と萩市の住居系及び商業系地域でプラスの効果が明らかにされている。

This paper deals with an evaporation synthesis of zirconium nitride thin films which are used as electrical resistors. First, the thickness distributions of films produced by multiple sources have been computed. The incidence distribution of gas molecules on a substrate also has been calculated in a system with four gas inlet nozzles. The continuous evaporation apparatus for industrial use having a three-gun system for evaporation of zirconium was developed. The power of each electron gun is capable to be controlled individually by evaporation rate monitors in order to keep the evaporation rate constant. The uniformity in thickness of the deposited films has been compared with the theoretically calculated values. The specific resistivity of films and the temperature coefficient of film resistivity have been checked in relation to the synthesis condition of zirconium nitride thin films.

<p> In the 1910s in Japan, attempts were made to perform European operas by translating their lyrics into Japanese. One of the leaders of the movement, Kobayashi Aiyû (1881–1945) translated 15 librettos for grand and comic operas during the decade. Although some of the pieces from those works were widely sung in prewar Japan, there have been few studies about Kobayashi's translation.</p><p> In this paper, we will discuss the libretto of Franz von Suppé's comic opera <i>Boccaccio,</i> translated by Kobayashi in 1915 at its Japan premier, to understand how Kobayashi rendered lyrics with meters and rhymes into non-accentual Japanese language.</p><p> Although a song from the work, <i>"Beatori nêchan"</i> ("Holde Schöne, hör diese Töne"), is still known today, we find that the lyrics of the piece in Kobayashi's libretto are more dignified than today's colloquial version.</p><p> Prosodic analysis suggests that Kobayashi used the English translation of the libretto (1880, by Dexter Smith) as a direct source, rather than its original text written in German (1879). Therefore, Kobayashi's lyrics have the same alteration of versification from the German libretto as the English version. Moreover, Kobayashi sometimes seems to have ignored the syllable number required by Suppé's score. Accordingly, his lyrics presented some difficulty in singing so that singers might have to alter the wordings.</p><p> Despite all these problems, Kobayashi was good at songs about love or nostalgia. Therefore, <i>"Koi wa yasashii nobe no hanayo"</i> ("Hab' ich nur deine Liebe") from the same work has been sung in his original lyrics until today.</p>

2015(平成27)年10月,備中国新見庄について書かれた「たまがき書状」を含む東寺百合文書がユネスコの世界記憶遺産(世界の記憶)に登録された。「たまがき書状」は,1997年に国宝にも指定されている。本稿は,「たまがき書状」についての背景を英語で説明し,書状内容を現代英語に訳したものである。

This study sought to better understand the daily lives of elderly with dementia living alone by illuminating their daily life experiences and thoughts through interviews with the elderly and, furthermore, by illuminating the dangers and issues ssociated with living alone through interviews with care support specialists. Qualitative and inductive analyses were conducted of semi-structured interviews with 6 elderly persons and six of their respective care support specialists. Results showed that elderly with dementia had "a strong desire to continue living alone as themselves" and that those feelings were buoyed by "pride on past self-sufficiency" and "appreciation of the people supporting me." In their daily lives, they "were aware of their memory loss, but have a positive outlook" and "despite bitter experiences, devise ways to work around them". Nevertheless, though rarely admitted by the elderly themselves, daily-life dangers such as "seen as a fire hazard by those around them" and "responsive, rather than preventative medication management due to low awareness of danger (by both elderly people and their caregivers)," were observed.本研究の目的は、独居生活をしている認知症高齢者への面接によって、彼らの日々の体験と思いを明らかにし、さらに彼らを支援する介護支援専門員の面接によって独居生活における危険の問題を明らかにすることである。6人の認知症高齢者と彼らの担当介護支援専門員6名に半構成的面接を行い、質的帰納的に分析をした。その結果、認知症高齢者は【自分らしくありたいという独居継続への強い意志】を持っており、それは、【過去の人生の誇りに支えられた自律意識】と【自分を支えてくれている人達への感謝の思い】で支えられていた。彼らは日々の生活の中で【もの忘れを自覚しながら、前向きな姿勢】を保ち、【苦い体験をしながら生活の工夫を取り入れ】ていた。その一方で、本人はあまり言わないが、【周囲が危機感を感じている火の不始末】や【(両方の)危険意識が少なく、問題発覚後に対応している内服管理】という、危機をはらむ生活上の問題がみられた。

トドマツを含むモミ属樹種では、種子生産の豊凶は雌花序生産の年次間変動と深く関わっている。北海道においてトドマツは天然林の構成樹種であり、主要な造林樹種でもあることから、雌花序の年次間変動の予測方法は天然林管理、種子採取に関して重要な情報である。本研究では、トドマツ林冠木の樹冠上部の枝に残存する球果・発達中止した雌花および雌花芽の中軸を確認して雌花序の過去の年次間変動を推定し、線型混合モデルによって豊作に有効な要因を選択した。説明変数として、花芽形成年、その前年の気温、および両年の気温差(花芽形成年の気温から前年の気温を引いた値)を用いた。雌花序の調査は、北海道・後志地域の中山峠付近で、トドマツ林冠木10個体の主幹から分枝して3-5年目に相当する枝の主軸を対象とした。調査対象の13年間のうち、雌花序の豊作は3回確認され、対象個体のほとんどによる開花がこの他に2回確認された。雌花序生産の豊作のきっかけとしては、6月における花芽形成当年と前年の気温差の正の効果が最も有効な要因として検出された。雌花序生産の年次間変動予測において、連続する2年間の温度条件を調べることの重要性が示唆された。
