初めて特許業務に関わる方や,これから本格的に特許調査に取り組む方に向け,特許分類とはどのようなものか平易に解説した。特許分類をイメージしやすくするため,特許分類を生物学の分類と比較した。次に,国際特許分類についてその概要を説明した。我が国独自の特許分類であるFI,ファセット分類記号,Fタームについても,国際特許分類と比較しながら,その概要を解説した。分類付与の実際についても説明した。加えて,外国の特許分類であるCPCとUSクラスについても簡単に紹介した。最後に,特許分類の調べ方と分類を使って検索する際に,知っておくべき注意点を解説した。

Apoptosis inhibitor of macrophage (AIM) is initially reported to protect macrophages from apoptosis. In this study, we determined the effect of AIM on the macrophage-derived tumor, histiocytic sarcoma cell lines (HS) of dogs. Five HS and five other tumor cell lines were used. When recombinant canine AIM was applied to non-serum culture media, cell numbers of all the HS and two of other tumor cell lines decreased dose-dependently. The DNA fragmentation, TUNEL staining and flow cytometry tests revealed that AIM induced both of apoptosis and cell cycle arrest in the HS. Although AIM is known as an apoptosis inhibitor, these results suggest that a high dose of AIM could have an opposite function in HS and some tumor cell lines.

強化学習の問題点として,状態,行動空間の爆発に伴う必要メモリ,学習時間の増大が挙げられる.これを防ぐために,近年様々な手法を用いた研究が行われている.本研究では強化学習の一種であるQ 学習の価値推定値表にファジィクラスタリングを適用しメンバシップ値を考慮に入れた学習法を提案し,学習済エージェントからの圧縮された情報によってどの程度の学習が行えるかを検討する.

Nowadays, we are exposed to a many advertising messages. But most of these messages are of no interest to us. Companies have to consider targeting individual consumers so that a consumer's exposure to a company's products or services is maximized. There are two important points. One is "Cross Media Marketing" and the other is "Relevancy." Digital printing technology is required to produce personalize printed copies that can interest consumers with relevant information. Additionally, much better results can be achieved by using a combination of e-mail and the Web together to communicate with consumers. Success in the digital printing business space warrants that a company should think from the customer's viewpoint, and have a thorough understanding of their needs.

Bronchial asthma has been reported to greatly influence the outcome of endoscopic sinus surgery (ESS) in patients with chronic sinusitis. We studied 191 patients undergoing ESS from January 2000 to December 2004, focusing on postoperative improvement in olfactory disorders, recurrence, and incidence of reoperation in 143 patients with follow-up exceeding 6 months. Airway hypersensitivity was observed in 35% of patients undergoing ESS, compared to 75% of asthmatic patients and 81% of those with both asthma and allergic rhinitis who had preoperative olfactory disorders. Olfactory disorders improved in 82% of patients undergoing ESS. Over 50% of relapsed patients had airway hypersensitivity. Asthmatic patients had an especially high relapse 37% (10 of 27 patients) . The outcome of ESS was significantly worse in patients with asthma. We conclude that patients with chronic sinusitis and asthma, who tend to experience more recurrence, require regular examination and early treatment.

We conducted a workshop that aimed to clarify problems with care workers supporting medication use in nursing homes, to propose measures for solving these problems, and to raise awareness of these problems among care workers. Eighteen care workers from different fee-based elderly nursing homes were enrolled in the workshop, and divided into four groups. The participants in these groups identified the issues based on their experiences regarding medication-related incidents, and discussed related problems and viable measures using the KJ method. The issues identified by each group were “dropping a medication”, “wrong resident”, “refusal to take medication”, and “confusion”. To resolve these problems, the participants recommended: “conducting study sessions or testing of manuals and medication knowledge”, “strengthening monitoring systems”, “enhancing information sharing”, etc. The involvement of pharmacists was hardly mentioned, despite the workshop being designed for “medication assistance”. A post-workshop questionnaire revealed that 88.9% of the participants acknowledged an increased awareness of safe assistance in the use of medication. A follow-up questionnaire, distributed approximately seven months after the workshop, revealed that 82.4% of participants applied the experience and knowledge they learned at the workshop to their work. The workshop seemed to raise awareness and lead to preventive measures for safe medication assistance. Communication between care workers and other health care professionals, such as pharmacists, is important to designing and implementing safe medical care in nursing homes.

The present article analyzes the impact of the recent judicial reform on the rural community of Japan. It is based on the multi-methodological study project on rural justice in contemporary Japan. The project has been financially supported by JSPS no. 15330004 and the 21st Century COE program for Kobe University.Firstly, the article reviews the major reforms in national law level. Though Japan has long been suffered from shortage of formal legal resources, the situation is rapidly changing because of the national judicial reform movement in last 10 years. The number of lawyer (bengoshi) in 2005 has increased by 50% compared with that of 1990: The Japan Federation of Practicing Attorneys (Nichibenren) has established the legal advice centers in all jurisdiction of local courts. The regulatory restrictions have been removed in such areas of advertisement and fees: The government enacted the "the comprehensive legal support act" in June 2004. However, the availability of legal services is still severely limited in small towns and cities in non-metropolitan areas.Secondly it examines the nation-wide distribution pattern and its changes, for 1998 to 2002 period, of attorneys (bengoshi) and judicial scribners (shihoshoshi) in local court jurisdictions, and it finds that the attorneys are more concentrated in largest metropolitan areas than the judicial scribners; however, the number of judicial scribners is increasing in more of the urban areas and decreasing in more of the rural areas than the attorneys.Lastly it qualitatively describes how the legal problems are resolved almost without resorting to attorneys in rural areas by reporting 4 case studies of small cities in rural areas. People in those areas usually rely on judicial scribners for legal remedies for such troubles as consumer problems, domestic violence, and debts. They also ask advices of the local police, local government's, especially the consumer protection agencies and their branches. In each of those areas, one or two active attorneys recently opened the publicly funded office of law in the community. It is also noticeable that not a small number of people hesitates to ask advice to the "foreign" attorney even in serious legal troubles.

クロヤマアリFormica japonicaでは同巣仲間の死体を巣外へ運び出す行動が認められるが,このような搬出行動は,死体体表面に含まれるオレイン酸によって引き起こされ,死後48時間以上経過した死体に対して顕著に認められた。オレイン酸は,生きた働きアリの体表面および体液中には殆ど含まれないが,その含有量は死後の時間経過に伴って変化し,死後48時間で急激に増加した。一方,体液中に含まれるトリグリセリドの含有量は,死後48時間で急激に減少し,その構成脂肪酸はオレイン酸であった。また,死亡直後に電子線を照射した場合には,体液中および体表面におけるオレイン酸の増加,および体液中のトリグリセリドの減少のいずれも認められない。これらの結果から,クロヤマアリの死体認識シグナルとして作用するオレイン酸は,働きアリの死後,体液中に含まれるトリグリセリドの酵素的加水分解反応によって生じるものと考えられる。

This paper verifies the circumstances underlying the floor plan of the Ueno Museum. It also explores the relationships among the Ueno Museum, the Educational Museum, and the Kyoto Museum, planned during the early Meiji period. The floor plan of the Ueno Museum is characterized by straight lines that symmetrically divide the floor into rectangles. The divisions formed a route flow line leading visitors through all of the exhibition rooms, starting from the entrance hall.

本稿は、B to B の下請業務を事業としている中小企業が、連続的に新規顧客を獲得し続けるためのプロセスとマネジメント要因を、東大阪の中小企業A 社の事例分析を通じて明らかにするものである。分析の結果、「既存の技術を元に新規顧客を獲得した後、その顧客との関係から新規技術を獲得して、さらに新たな顧客を獲得する」という、技術と顧客を軸足においた一貫したパターンが明らかになった。さらにそのプロセスにおいて、「顧客とのパートナーシップの活用」が重要なマネジメント要因となることが明らかになった。
