A 58-year-old man consulted our hospital due to a 2-year history of dysarthria and a 1-month history of blepharospasm. In addition to the ataxic dysarthria and blepharospasm, a neurological examination demonstrated slight ataxia of the trunk and lower limbs. Brain MRI demonstrated atrophy of the upper portion of the cerebellar vermis. Gene analysis established a diagnosis of spinocerebellar ataxia type 31 (SCA31). SPECT with the three-dimensional stereotaxic ROI template (3DSRT) software program demonstrated hyperperfusion in the lenticular nucleus and thalamus. Although the association between SCA31 and blepharospasm in our patient remains unclear, we considered that this combination might be more than coincidental.

The purpose of this study is to clarify of spatial consciousness reflected on dancehall in modern Japan.<br> Through several drawings of the project of dancehall at Hotel Lake Biwa constructed by The Policy of Tourist Industry during1930s, there are some conflicts and reflections at the points of various appearances and plans on design process. The beginning of this project, it was designed as a dancehall under the policy of promotion of dancing by Shiga Prefecture. A few years later, suppression of dancing by the police administration had caused some changes from dancehall to multi-purpose hall on design process.

1.我が国におけるチョウセンゴヨウの分布を既存資料に基づき整理し,北東アジア大陸部での分布と比較してその特徴を明らかにした.2.水平分布は本州中部地方にほぼ限られ,四国に僅かに隔離分布する.垂直分布は,標商1800m以上の亜高山帯に分布地点の73%が集中し,1800m以下の山地帯には少ない.3.同じような水平分布範囲を示すシラベやトウヒと比較して産地数はかなり少ない.また,ほとんど優占林を作らず,分布しても分布量は少ない.4.北東アジア大陸部では,チョウセンゴヨウは沿海州から中国東北地方,朝鮮半島北部にかけての広い範囲で量的に多く分布し,優占林を形成し,落葉広葉樹と混交してチョウセンゴヨウ-落葉広葉樹混交林を作るとともに,垂直分布の上からは常緑針葉樹林帯の下部の山地帯が分布の中心となってしいる.5.北東アジア大陸部での分布と比較すると,我が国のチョウセンゴヨウは,垂直分布域の下部を山地帯性の樹種に占拠された形になっており,そこでは分布が消えるか,ごく局限された状態で,亜高山域に追い上げられた形となっている.

Suppressing stereotypic thoughts leads to paradoxical effects (i.e. suppressing a stereotype facilitates the use of the stereotype itself). Recent research on paradoxical effects in stereotype suppression has demonstrated that replacement thoughts decrease its paradoxical effects. This study examined the effectiveness of female counterstereotypes, major non-dominant female stereotypes, and minor non-dominant female stereotypes as replacement thoughts in suppressing dominant female stereotypes. In a lexical decision task, the participants were primed with either female counter-stereotypes, major non-dominant female stereotypes, minor non-dominant female stereotypes, or non-human objects, and thus they were likely to use those that were activated as replacement thoughts. Next, they were given a sentence-stem completion task that served as a manipulation of female stereotype suppression. Finally, they were given another lexical decision task and the response latencies of the stereotypic vs. non-stereotypic words were recorded. The results indicated that regardless of major or minor nondominant female stereotypes as replacement thoughts decreased the paradoxical effects of suppressing dominant female stereotypes. We discussed the way of activation of replacement thoughts and the role of non-dominant stereotypes as replacement thoughts in suppressing dominant stereotypes.

PCリサイクル法に伴い,ネットオークションで個人や業者が中古PCを売る割合が増えていく中で,データの削除方法を知らないままにネットオークションにノートPCやHDDを売るという行為は個人情報漏えいなどにつながる大変危険な行為といえる.ここではオークションに実際に出品している業者を対象にアンケート調査し,復元ソフトで復元できないようにきちんと抹消するようにしているか確かめた.また実際にPCやHDDを購入し実験を行い,実際にデータが復元できるPCがあることを確認した.あわせて,オークションサイト運営者に対し,PC出品者にデータの抹消を指導するよう提言を行った.The PC recycle law leads increase of selling second hand PCs in Internet auction system. It is dangerous to sell note PCs or HDDs in the Internet auction system without understanding the proper method of deleting data, because there is the possibility of the leakage of individual information etc. We made the survey on the status of deleting data in PC exhibited by a company to sell the second hand PCs in the auction site. In addition, after buying the PCs from the auction site, we confirm actually that it is possible to recover the data from the PCs. Moreover, we proposed auction site manager to give the caution on the necessity to delete the data properly to the PC exhibitor of the auction site.

薬物相互作用には,薬物の血液中濃度などの変化を伴う場合と,変化を伴わない場合に分けられる.前者の例としては,ビンクリスチンとイトラコナゾールによる末梢神経障害,チザニジンとフルボキサミンによる眠気,トリアゾラムとイトラコナゾールによる覚醒遅延,オランザピンと禁煙による錐体外路症状などがあげられる.また,後者の例としては,シプロフロキサシンとケトプロフェンによる中枢性けいれん,スルピリドとチアプリドなどによる薬剤性パーキンソニズム,トリアゾラムとアルコールによる記憶障害・意識障害・ふらつきなどを挙げることができる.本稿では,その中の幾つかの例を解説する.

There is no positive correlation between the long-term eruption rate of large-scale felsic volcanism and its discharge volume of a single eruptive episode. This means that the storage of voluminous felsic magma at high-level in the crust is caused not by high magma production rate but by continuous accumulation of magma during a long repose time, if the long-term eruption rate reflects the averaged magma production rate. If the cruslal defomation is weak, the magma chamber could be stable in the crust; it is favorable for efficient accumulation of voluminous magma. In fact, the large-volume felsic volcanism occurs exclusively in the region of low crustal strain rate. The low crustal strain rate is considered to be essential for the formation of large-scale felsic volcanism. The large-volume felsic volcanic activity is present in the compressional tectonic stress field as well as in the extensional one; the difference in arrangement of principal stress axes is not related to the occurrence of voluminous felsic volcanism.

トリュフ(Tuber melanosporum)は子実体が発生する条件が整うとその地上部には"ブリュレ(焼け跡地)"と呼ばれる草の生えないパッチが観察されるようになる。同様の抑草現象は野生種のハナホウキタケ、ニンギョウタケなどにも観察され、化学物質を放出することにより現象を発現していることが考えられる。しかし、キノコのアレロパシーを利用した雑草抑制の試みはほとんどなされておらず、作用成分もほとんど明らかにされていない。そこで、キノコ子実体のアレロパシー活性を昨年に引き続きサンドイッチ法を用いて検定した。また、サンドイッチ法により、活性が強かったブナシメジ(Hipsizigus marmoreus)については、菌体が多く含まれる廃菌床についても成長阻害活性を調査した。

We carried out a gamma-ray spectra survey to discuss the relation between geological structures associated with discharge of hot springs and gamma-ray intensities for three radioactive elements, 40K, 214Bi and 208Tl, using a portable multi-channel gamma-ray spectrometer, in the Futsukaichi Hot spring area, Fukuoka Prefecture, Southwest Japan. A data analysis method, based on Covell's method (1959), including the error estimation of observed data was used in this study. Detection limits of gamma-ray from each element based on Currie's method (1966) was also applied.Results of the field survey showed high gamma-ray intensity areas for Bi well correspond to inferred faults which are associated with discharge of hot springs. This means that 222Ra, the parent element of Bi, comes up to the surface together with circulating hot water. High intensity areas for Tl correspond to places of hot spring wells. This fact was interpreted that Tl is accumulated at the place where the hot water comes up to the surface rapidy, because 220Rn, the parent element of Tl, has very short half-life time. We concluded that the high gamma-ray intensities of Bi and Tl are an indicators for existence of upward-moving hot water flow.

沖縄戦における住民の集団自決という用語に内在している問題の核心は、日本政府・皇軍(旧日本軍)の戦争責任が免責されるという点にある。すなわち、沖縄戦体験を記録したり、語ったりするとき、住民に集団自決という「援護法」の用語を用いた場合、単なる言葉の表現上の問題ではなく、その意味するところは、沖縄戦が「靖国思想」に立脚した「軍民一体の戦闘」だったという認識に立つことになるのである。つまり、「援護法」適用のための用語である集団自決と「強制集団死」(軍事的他殺)を明確に区別しないと、沖縄戦における住民被害の本質を見誤ることになる。
