本稿では交通シミュレータを用いて丁字路での交通流の円滑化を目的とし,車車間・路車間通信を用いた交通モデルの評価を行った.交通状況を交通渋滞や事故が発生しやすい交差点に着目し,交差点の角にビルを想定した遮蔽物がある見通しの悪い丁字路を想定した.提案方式では交差点における車両の状況を車車間・路車間通信により各車両に送信することで,効率のよい交通流をつくり渋滞の軽減を目指す.交差点では右左折車両の減速や,右左折可能かどうかの判断のための一時停止などが原因により渋滞が生じやすい.そこで提案方式では運転手の目視による右左折判断を車車間・路車間通信により,車両の位置情報,速度情報,右左折直進情報を交差点周辺の車両に送信することで右左折の判断を行う.その結果,右左折にかかる無駄な時間を軽減し,無駄な加減速,一時停止が軽減されるため交通流が円滑化する.構築したシミュレータより,車両密度,右左折完了台数,交差点手前における平均待ち時間などの指標から既存の交通環境と比較し評価および検討を行った.シミュレーションの結果,提案方式の方が既存の交通環境と比べ渋滞が緩和されているのが示された.This paper discusses a traffic congestion reducing method by using an IVC (Inter-Vehicle Communication) and RVC (Road-Vehicle Communication) at a T-intersection. We focused on an intersection because there are often traffic congestions there. Thus, the traffic simulations in T-intersection where prospect is not good and buildings are existed at the corner are performed. Traffic congestion are often happened since the vehicles are slowed down or stopped temporary when they are turned right or left. In proposed scheme, location, velocity and direction information of vehicles are transmitted by the IVC and the RVC around the intersection in order to assist the decision for drivers when the vehicles are turn right or left. The IVC and RVC are integrated because it is difficult to communicate around the bud visibly intersection only by using the IVC. As the results, waste of time, acceleration and deceleration can be reduced and traffic flow becomes smoother. From the simulation, the density of the vehicles, the number of the vehicles that completed right or left turn and averaged waiting time characteristics are improved compared with ordinary traffic systems at the intersection.

2007年の統一地方選挙において, 民主党は, これまでの地方選挙の選挙戦略を大きく変更した。自民党との対決姿勢を地方選挙に持ち込んだのである。本稿は, 地方選挙における政党の選挙戦略に注目し, 2007年統一地方選挙までの地方選挙の構図について検討を行う。政党の選挙戦略に関する先行研究としては,既にSchlesingerのものがあり, 本稿では彼の議論を日本の二元代表制にあうように応用し使っている。2007年統一地方選挙における民主党の選挙戦略は, 一般の有権者から広く集票しようとする第四戦略と位置づけられ, また選挙戦術としてのローカル・マニフェストのあり方にも影響を与えるものになったといえる。ただし, 2007年統一地方選挙の結果については, 直近の参議院議員選挙を見据える必要があり, 「平成の大合併」による地方政界の再編にも留意し吟味する必要がある。

歯科医師手帳(1991年版)便覧の日本歯科医学会・関係学会一覧(90.10.20調査)をみると学会の連絡事務所が口腔保健協会内になっているものが,歯科基礎医学会,日本歯科保存学会,日本補綴歯科学会,日本口腔外科学会,日本矯正歯科学会,日本口腔衛生学会,日本歯科理工学会,日本小児歯科学会,日本歯周病学会,日本歯科麻酔学会,日本歯科医療管理学会,日本口腔インプラント学会,日本顎咬合学会,日本歯内療法協会,日本歯科医学教育学会,日本歯科心身医学会,日本歯科技工学会,全国歯科衛生士教育協議会などの多くの学会名がみられる.そこでこの財団法人口腔保健協会がいかなる目的で設立されたかを知ることも日本歯科医学史上重要と思われる.そこで,雑誌「口腔保健」第1号を参考資料とし,財団法人口腔保健協会寄付行為について調査したので報告する.

3D キャラクタとのリアルタイムでの音声対話が可能な音声対話システムとして MMDAgent が提案されている.この動作環境を拡大し,利便性を向上させるために MMDAgent を Android スマートフォン上へ移植したスマートメイちゃんが提案されている.これらのツールキットにおいて採用されているシナリオ定義手法では,複雑な対話シナリオの作成や,端末間通信による連携を必要とするシナリオの構築が困難である.本研究では,これらの問題点を解決するため,スマートメイちゃんをソフトウェアエージェントにより拡張する機構を提案,実装し,有効性を確認するための評価実験を行った.エージェントを用いてスマートメイちゃんの拡張を行うことで,複雑な応答文や条件分岐を持つシナリオの開発がより容易となり,また,ネットワークと連携する必要があるシナリオの開発も,エージェント間通信の延長線上と捉えることで格段に容易となる.評価実験の結果,提案機構によって問題点を解決できたことを確認したが,実用的な機構とするためにはいくつかの課題点も存在することが確認された.

ハイスピード・ビデオカメラの市販により,運動する物体を撮影して力学法則を確かめるような物理教育の機会が増えている。一般に動画は容量の大きなデータで,その保存・転送・表示における技術上の問題があり,解像度が低い。このため,精度よく物体位置を取得するには限界がある。またハイスピード撮影のデータはフレーム数が多く,効率よい画像処理プログラミングが必要である。われわれは,力学的エネルギー保存の法則の成立を演示することを目的として,512×384pixels の解像度で1秒間300フレームの動画撮影を行い,振り子運動する物体の位置をOpenCVによるプログラミングを通して取得した。画像上で直径81pixel の物体位置を±0.03pixelの精度で得て,水平方向±58pixel,鉛直方向1.1pixelの弧を描く運動から,運動エネルギー・位置エネルギーを十分な精度で決定できた。Recently, the chance to use commercially supplied high-speed video cameras has been increased in physics education to confirm kinetic laws of the motion of bodies. The data files of movies are generally so large in capacity that there are the technical issues to store, transfer, and display the data. In consequence, the resolution of the movie is not enough to determine the position of moving bodies precisely. In addition, the high-speed movies consist of a large number of frames, so that we need to be computer-assisted and to use high-efficient Computer-Vision (shortly, CV) software of the image processing. Thus in order to assert the mechanical-energy conservation law in demonstrational experiments, we recorded motion of some pendulums in the videos with 512x384 pixels in resolution and 300 frames per second in frame rate, and obtained the position of the bodies with a handmade software using OpenCV libraries. In a case of a pendulum, of which the body has the size of 81 pixel in diameter on the image and sweeps in an arc with the horizontal amplitude of ±58 pixels and with the quite small vertical range of 1.1 pixel, the time-dependence of kinetic and potential energies showed the expected compensating behaviors with acceptable errors from the results with the reading positional accuracy of about 0.03 pixel.

昭和30年代に台頭した女性用自転車は、現在日本における自転車利用のおよそ8割を占めるシティ車の原型となっている。シティ車の誕生とともに自転車は最も身近で手軽な交通手段として人々の生活に定着したが、現在その利用環境には多くの問題が生じている。放置自転車や交通事故等に代表される自転車利用の諸問題に対し行政や自治体により対策が行われているが、依然として解決の兆しは見えておらず、現状の利用環境において自転車が移動手段として持つ優位性を十分に発揮出来ているとは言い難い。自転車利用の問題は昭和後期における自転車利用率の急増とともに表面化し始めたが、その本質にはシティ車を中心として形成された日本独自の自転車文化の性質が深く関わっているものと推測される。 本研究では日本における自転車の利用形態がどのように形成されてきたのか、調査・考察を行う。それにより日本の自転車利用における文化的特性を明らかにし、現在の利用環境をめぐる諸問題についてその要因の一端を明らかにする。

When we consider the works of Charles Dickens (1812-70) from the viewpoint of gender, we can safely state that Dickens represents the collapse of the patriarchal myth but he does not represent the women who assert equal rights of men and women. In Dombey and Son (1848), Dombey's family has a system where the male head of the family has nearly absolute authority and the oldest male child falls heir to his father's property. The father's love and hopes are centered in Paul, Dombey neglects his daughter, Florence, and the estrangement is increased by the death of her brother. The representation of Florence's flight from her father takes the initiative in Dickens's later representations of feminism, but Florence's return is different from the return of Louisa Gradgrind in Hard Times (1854), because Florence asks her father to forgive her for her running away from home. In Hard Times, Gradgrind imposes his sense of values of materialism on Louisa, and she gets married to Bounderby to obey her father's will and support her brother. However, she cannot go against her nature and gets out of her life with Bounderby. In both Dombey and Son and Hard Times, Dickens represents the collapse of the patriarchal myth. It shows his affirmation of women's right, but the two works does not show that Dickens completely approves of women's advances into society. Bleak House gives a clue to it. In Bleak House, Mrs. Jellyby neglects her domestic responsibilities because of her mission in Africa. Her telescopic philanthropy causes her neglect of her family when her young son Peepy gets his head caught in the area railing. John Stuart Mill (1806_73) showed his opinion about Bleak House in the letter to Harriet Taylor : `Hard Times has the vulgar impudence to ridicule rights of women. It is done in the very vulgarest way-just the style in which vulgar men used to ridicule `learned ladies' as neglecting their children and household etc.' Mill's opinion admits of refutation, because it is likely that Dickens emphasizes the bad side of Mrs. Jellyby who neglects domestic responsibilities, in Bleak House which shows both the situation of Esther as an orphan and the lack of responsibility of Mrs. Dedlock. Dickens did not deny the right and the conspicuous activity of women. He also knew the usefulness of women who contributed to society. As the granddaughter of Thomas Coutts, founder of the London bank, Angela Burdett-Coutts (1814-1906) was one of the wealthiest woman in Victorian England. She was one of the busiest as well, not only helping to manage the bank, but also engaging herself very activity in an enormous range of philanthropic project. Urania Cottage, at which fallen women could acquire new skills, was set up with Dickens's assistance. Although Dickens knew the usefulness of women like Angela Burdett- Coutts, he represented the negative side of Mrs. Jellyby. His representation of Mrs. Jellyby might come from his own experience. Dickens had a bitter experience with his own mother : she was against the plan that he would be released from the blacking factory, and tried to keep him there. Dickens unconsciously reveals his conviction that maternal love is important in his works. In Bleak House, the absence of mother has a great influence on Esther's life and Esther feels a deep sense of isolation. Therefore Dickens might have used his past experience with his own mother.

ごみ焼却炉から排出される飛灰の処分方法として, 厚生大臣が指定した4つの方法に関し調査検討を行った。これらの方式は, 主たる目的である重金属の溶出防止についてはほぼ同等の性能を有するものの, 処理物の長期安定性, 減容化, ダイオキシン類の除去, さらには資源化の可能性について考慮した場合, 溶融固化が唯一対応可能な技術と言える。この溶融固化法は, これらの利点を有する一方において, 実用化に当たっては溶融飛灰や排ガスの処理さらには経済性に関し, 多くの課題が残されていることも事実である。<BR>調査の進展に伴い, 残された課題の一部について解決の兆しが見えつつある。しかし, 焼却灰との混合処理の可能性, 分散処理か集中処理かの選択, 広域処理や廃棄物処理センターとの関連性に加えて, 公害対策設備の再構築等々, 今後の中間処理の有り方を総合的に見直す必要性が問われている。

顔に特異的なERP成分としてVPP(P170)とN170が知られている.このERPを詳細に検討するため, 12名の被験者から, 視覚呈示された顔, 眼, 物, 動物の顔, 単語に対するERPを記録した.写真および線画オッドボール条件, 課題を課さない線画反復条件を設けた.全条件で全ての刺激は後側頭部でN170を惹起し, 顔, 眼, 単語刺激に対してその振幅が増大した.耳を基準としたとき, 頭蓋頂でのP170は増大し明確な頂点を示した.頭皮上分布の分析から, これは顔に特異的な成分と考えるより, 処理の初期段階において注意が配分される程度を反映すると考えられる.

掌蹠膿疱症の姉弟例を経験した。姉: 56才, 約3ヵ月前より発症し, 慢性扁桃炎と仙腸関節部の疼痛が認められた。弟: 44才, 約3年前に発症し, 慢性扁桃炎と左鎖骨部の疼痛が認められた。弟に対しては骨シンチを施行し疼痛部への異常な取り込み像を認めた。また扁摘術も施行し, 経過を観察中である。掌蹠膿疱症において骨関節症状(pustulotic arthro-osteitis)の合併頻度は高く, その病態は慢性扁桃炎などの病巣感染の関与と考えあわせると, 強直性脊椎炎のようなHLA関連疾患としての可能性が考えられるが, 姉弟間にHLA抗原検索の結果共通性はなく, 疾患との関連性も認めなかつた。いずれにせよ本症において家族内発症の報告はきわめて少く, 今後の検討が待たれる。
