本稿では, タクシー乗り場におけるタクシーの行列が時間とともにどのように変遷するのかを分析する. 特に時間とともに行列ができる地点が異なる理由を分析の主眼とし, 本稿では, 意思決定と確率過程との二点を考慮に入れたモデルを構築した. 本稿の特徴は確率による撹乱項を導入しなくても, 時間遅れという概念からサイクル現象が発生することである.

症例は75歳男性である.短時間の失声と無動をくりかえすため入院した.垂直方向の眼球運動制限,頸部・体幹の筋強剛,四肢のパラトニア,開脚小刻み歩行を呈していた.発作時には発語と動作が停止し,強直肢位をとり,吹き出し呼吸となって1分以内に回復した.発作中の意識は保たれていた.頭部MRIは進行性核上性麻痺とラクナ梗塞を示唆する所見であった.脳波では前頭葉徐波がめだち,123I-iomazenil SPECTの3D-SSPで補足運動野近傍の集積が低下していた.カルバマゼピンにより発作は消失した.陰性運動現象を主徴とする補足運動野発作が高齢者においても発症しうることには留意すべきである.

An 87-year-old man with heart failure caused by severe anemia was referred to our hospital. Gastroenteroscopy revealed the existence of several parasites in the duodenum. Examination of the stool by a formalin-ethyl acetate concentration technique detected hookworm eggs. After a single dose of pyrantel pamoate, his symptoms including dyspnea on exertion and edema diminished. And also hemoglobin and B-type natriuretic peptide (BNP) had improved dramatically. Hookworm infection is an extremely rare cause of heart failure, and furthermore this parasitic infection is not common in advanced countries. We suggest the possible relationship between parasite infection and organic foods.

症例は64歳,女性.関節リウマチのため10年前よりステロイドを内服していた.平成18年12月,腹痛・悪心嘔吐を主訴として救急外来を受診し,腹部単純X線写真で著明な小腸ガス像を認めたため,腸閉塞の診断で入院となった.第2病日にイレウス管を挿入するも,自覚症状・画像所見はともに改善せず,第6病日に呼吸困難を発症した.胸部単純X線検査・胸部CT検査で右胸腔内に拡張した小腸を認めたため,横隔膜破裂と診断した.第7病日に横隔膜修復術,イレウス解除術を施行した.術後経過は良好で,第25病日に退院となった.横隔膜破裂の原因は外傷が殆どであるが,本例は,ステロイド内服による組織の脆弱化と腸閉塞による腹腔内圧の上昇が原因と考えられた,稀な発症様式の横隔膜破裂例であった.腸閉塞による横隔膜破裂の報告は,検索しうる限り本例が本邦で2例目であった.若干の文献的考察を加えて報告する.

精神科病院の入院患者を対象として,看護支援における動物を用いたアプローチの有用性を検討した。動物とのふれあいの効果を検討したところ,このアプローチを必要としている患者の傾向と,アプローチによる患者の気分の変化が明らかとなった。患者の入院生活支援を24時間している看護師において,環境整備は重要な看護援助のひとつであり,動物が好きな患者において「動物がいる入院環境を整えること」は,情緒の安定,意欲の向上,環境の適応などに繋がる可能性が考えられた。

13歳のビーグル犬が腹囲膨満と呼吸器症状を主訴に来院した。胸部X線検査から心拡大が確認され,心エコー図検査から三尖弁閉鎖不全症が診断された。右心房圧は正常であったが,右心室圧は上昇していた(収縮期/拡張末期;69/5.0 mmHg)。血中ANP濃度は正常範囲であったが,血中NT-proBNP濃度は1,583 pmol/Lと高値であった。内科治療としてエナラプリル,トラセミド,メチルジゴキシンを処方したところ,治療後30日目には臨床兆候は改善し,右心室圧も低下していた(収縮期/拡張末期;20/-2.3 mmHg)。また,血中NT-proBNP濃度は1,245 pmol/Lに低下していた。本症例では,右心不全に伴う右心室圧の上昇によって血中NT-proBNP濃度が上昇していたと推察される。

Angle-resolved photoemission measurements are carried out to investigate the valence electronic structures of two different ZnO surfaces that are (0001) Zn-terminated (ZnO-Zn) and (000-1) O-terminated (ZnO-O) surfaces, and also of Cu clusters supported on these surfaces. On the clean ZnO surfaces, two valence bands are observed at ∼4 and 5−8 eV with a clear dispersion feature. Although these bands are associated with the bulk bands, it is found that the dispersion widths of the bands exhibit the termination dependence of the polar ZnO surfaces. Deposition of Cu on the polar ZnO surfaces induces downward bending of the ZnO band. Magnitude of Cu-induced bending is larger on ZnO-O than on ZnO-Zn. This indicates that the Cu—ZnO interface interaction is greater for the Cu/ZnO-O system than for the Cu/ZnO-Zn system. The analysis of the Cu 3d band structure implies that coupling between the Cu 3d band and the ZnO band is operative at the Cu—ZnO-O interface, whereas such coupling seems to be missing at the Cu—ZnO-Zn interface. We propose that the effect of electronic coupling is one of the factors that determine the interface interaction between the Cu cluster and polar ZnO surfaces.

This study is focused on creative group works. Based on the detailed observations and recordings, we want to find the relations between working activities, results and satisfaction of workers. We put the camera array system on the ceiling of the workspace and took plan-like images of working activities at regular intervals and measured the movement of bodies and tools. This paper also reports on the method to visualize the movement of workers and tools based on the measured data.

The aim of this study is to investigate the prebiotic effects of brown rice fermented by Aspergillus oryzae (FBRA) on the intestinal environment in vitro and in healthy adults. Methods: Fresh fecal slurries from six healthy adults were incubated with FBRA to confirm prebiotic potentials of FBRA. Another thirty-six healthy adults were randomly allocated to 2 groups for the clinical study. Subjects consumed 21.0 g/day of either FBRA or control food for 2 weeks, followed by a 12-week intermission and then 2-week ingestion vice versa. Main outcome measures were bifidobacterial numbers and organic acid concentration in feces. Sub outcome measures were fecal microbiota, fecal environments and bowel function. Results: Incubation of fecal slurries with FBRA in vitro resulted in increased organic acids with individual-specific patterns. Bifidobacterial numbers were increased during incubation. In the clinical study, all participants safely completed this study. FBRA had little effect on fecal number of bifidobacteria, concentrations of organic acids or putrefactive metabolites, fecal pH, or fecal microbiota. Conclusion: FBRA has the potentials as a prebiotic, however, we could not detect its effects on the intestinal environment in vivo. Fermented buckwheat sprouts (FBS) are used as multifunctional foods. Their production process includes fermentation with lactic acid bacteria. The major strains were found to include Lactobacillus plantarum, Lactobacillus brevis, Lactobacillus pentosus, Lactococcus lactis subsp. lactis, and Pediococcus pentosaceus in an investigation of the lactic acid bacteria. We searched for the functional components, and nicotianamine (NA) and 2″-hydroxynicotianamine (HNA) were identified as angiotensin I-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors. NA and HNA increased during fermentation. Indole-3-ethanol was identified as an antioxidant (a SOD active substance), and may have been generated from tryptophan during fermentation because it was not contained in green buckwheat juice. A safety test demonstrated that FBS contained were safe functional food components, showing negative results in buckwheat allergy tests. Any buckwheat allergy substances might have been degraded during the fermentation process.

近年,移動ロボットの自己位置・状態推定にニューラルネットワークを用いる手法が多く提案されている.これらの手法はある特定の静的な環境に対してロボットを適応させることに主眼が置かれており,異なる環境に置かれたときに頑健に振舞うことが出来ない.一方,包摂アーキテクチャは動的環境でも頑健に振舞うことができると期待されている.しかし,包摂アーキテクチャは環境の構造に依存するタスクには向いていない.そこで,本研究では包摂アーキテクチャに基づく行動則と学習により獲得した行動則を状況に応じて切り替えるハイブリッドモデルを提案する.強化学習の状態空間には,状態数を事前に決定する必要がなく追加学習に頑健な自己増殖型ニューラルネットワークを改良した力学的自己増殖型ニューラルネットワークを用いた.本提案の有効性は,移動ロボットが複数の環境(迷路)上で獲得した行動則を環境の変化に応じて適切に切り替えながら振舞う事ができることをシミュレーション実験により確認した.

The aims of this study were to improve the mechanical and chemical properties of conventional restorative glass ionomer cement (GIC) by adding hydroxyapatite (HAp) preparations with different characteristics, and to investigate the underlying reaction mechanisms. Fuji IX GP® was used as the control GIC. The experimental GICs consisted of four HAp-particles with different characteristics added at 8 mass% to Fuji IX-powder. All cements were prepared by mixing with Fuji IX-liquid (P/L=3.6). Four HAp-particles were analyzed, and then the mechanical strengths and the fluoride-ion- release-recharge-behaviors of five GIC groups were evaluated. The results of this study demonstrate that the addition of HAp particles with highly reactive properties such as high specific surface area can enhance the flexural strength and fluoride ion release properties of conventional restorative GIC. Our results further indicate that HAp functions as an adsorbent and an ion exchangeable agent, resulting in improved mechanical and chemical properties of GIC.

The effect of the ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA) treatment on the hybrid layer durability of total-etch dentin adhesives was investigated. A flat dentin surface was exposed and treated with 37% phosphoric acid or 0.1M EDTA. Dentin adhesive was applied and a 4 mm thick composite resin was built-up. Twenty 0.9×0.9 mm2 resin-dentin beams were fabricated in each experimental group. Artificial aging with 10% NaClO was performed in half of the experimental groups for 1 hour. A micro-tensile bond strength (μTBS) test was performed and the bonded interface was analyzed with transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The 37% phosphoric acid-treated group showed a lower μTBS after artificial aging, whereas the 0.1M EDTA-treated group did not. TEM analysis revealed collagen fibrils dissolved in the 37% phosphoric acid-treated group but not in the 0.1M EDTA-treated group. Undissolved minerals were observed in the 0.1M EDTA-treated group. In conclusion, a dentin treatment with 0.1M EDTA is effective in improving the hybrid layer durability.

〔目的〕本研究は,Frail CS-10の有用性を検討するために,ADLとの関連について検討した。〔対象〕虚弱もしくは軽度要介護高齢者159名(男性65名,女性94名)とした。〔方法〕Frail CS-10と大腿四頭筋筋力について,FIM-MならびにFIM-M下位項目との関連をスピアマンの順位相関係数を用いて性別毎に検討した。〔結果〕Frail CS-10と大腿四頭筋筋力は,男女ともに今回評価したFIM-MおよびすべてのFIM-M下位項目とそれぞれ有意な相関が認められた。ただし,その相関係数から関連の強さを判断すると,FIM-Mのすべての項目でFrail CS-10の方が大腿四頭筋筋力よりも関連が強かった。〔結語〕従来から下肢機能の代表値として用いられている大腿四頭筋筋力よりもFrail CS-10の方が,虚弱高齢者のADLとより関連することが示唆された。

A new tetraglycosyl flavonol, 3-O-[2-O-xylosyl-6-O-(3-O-glucosyl-rhamnosyl) glucosyl] kaempferol was isolated from pale purplish-pink petals of Wabisuke camellia cv. Tarokaja with three known flavonols. It was named urakunoside after the species name of Tarokaja, Camellia uraku. Urakunoside was a major flavonol component in the Tarokaja petals, but was not detected in petals of Tarokaja’s presumed ancestor species.

全国各地で、政令指定都市または中核市など「制度的に上位とされる」地方自治体への昇格を目標とした合併構想が多数存在している。しかしながら、必ずしも当初予定されていた自治体の組み合わせで、合併への動きが進んでいるわけではない。ここで、政令指定都市等が満たすべき人口総数など制度的な要件や各地域特有の地理的要因が、合併の組み合わせにかなりの影響を与えている可能性がある。本論文は、上記要因を考慮した上で各自治体の合併交渉に対する“影響力”を測定することを目標に、投票ゲームを用いて分析を行った。具体的には代表的な投票力指数であるシャープレイ・シュービック指数とバンザフ指数を修正して、どの指数が現実を説明するうえで適切であるかについて考察した。

本研究はThink/No-Thinkパラダイム(Anderson & Green,2001)を用いて,ポジティブ画像記憶の意図的抑制が可能かを検討した.方法は学習段階,Think/No-Think段階,最終テスト段階の3段階から構成されていた.学習段階において,実験参加者(N=34)は手がかり(ニュートラル単語)とターゲット(ポジティブもしくはニュートラル画像)の刺激ペアを学習した.その後,正解率が80%を超えるまで手がかり再認テストを行った.Think/No-Think段階では,手がかりのみが反復して提示された(0回,6回,12回).0回反復のペアは記憶の促進と記憶の抑制を評価するためのベースラインとして使用された.赤色の手がかりに対して,実験参加者はペアとなっていたターゲットを思い出した.緑色の手がかりに対しては,ペアとなっていたターゲットを抑制した.最終テスト段階では,手がかり再生テストを行った.結果,ポジティブ,ニュートラル画像共に,抑制されたターゲットはベースラインのターゲットよりも記憶成績が低かった.画像記憶の抑制が頑健であること,そして感情価によって抑制中の主観的体験が異なることが示唆された.
