「魂」という学問で取り扱うことを忌避されてきた概念に、正当な地位を与えることができた。それは人間の創発を支える暗黙の次元に属する身体の作動であり、本来的に解明しえぬ(する必要のない) ものである。学問はそれを喜びをもって受け入れ、尊重し、その作動を抑圧するものを解明し、除去する役割を果たせばよい。そのような学問は、抽象的空間で展開する論理や実証ではなく、「私」自身を含む具体的な歴史的時空のなかで展開される合理的思考である。このような生きるための思考を通じた「私」の成長のみが、学問的客観性を保証する。この観点に立つことで我々は、日本とその周辺諸国におけるポスト・コロニアル状況の打破のためには、人々の魂の叫び声に耳を傾け、それを苦しませている「悪魔」を如何に打破するか、という方向で考えるべきであることを理解した。謝罪も反論も、魂に響くものでなければ、意味がなく、逆に魂に響くものであれば、戦争と直接の関係がなくても構わない。たとえば四川大地震において日本の救助隊が「老百姓」の母子の遺体に捧げた黙祷や、「なでしこジャパン」がブーイングを繰り返す観衆に対して掲げた「ARIGATO 謝謝 CHINA」という横断幕などが、その例である。我々の協力者の大野のり子氏は、山西省の三光作戦の村に三年にわたって住み込み、老人のお葬式用の写真を撮ってあげる代わりに、当時の話の聞き取りをさせてもらうという活動を行い、それをまとめて『記憶にであう--中国黄土高原 紅棗(なつめ) がみのる村から』(未来社) という書物を出版したが、このような研究こそが、真に意味のある歴史学であるということになる。

大宮台地の西縁部では,荒川の河川敷に存在する沖積土を台地上の火山灰土畑に運びこむ「ドロツケ」という客土作業が続けられていた.本研究は,ドロツケによる人為的土壌生成過程における土壌特性の変化を明らかにすることを目的として,長年のドロツケにより,沖積土が元来の土壌の上に厚く堆積した埼玉県北本市の圃場の土壌,台地上の火山灰土,および河川敷沖積土において,土壌断面調査と土壌理化学性の分析を行い相互に比較した.ドロツケにより,土壌の固相部が増大し,最大容水量および水分含量が減少した.沖積土中のAl_oおよびSi_o含量は,火山灰土の1/10以下であった.この沖積土の客土により,ドロツケ畑では客土層上層ほどリン酸吸収係数が減少し,可溶性無機態リン酸の内のCa型リン酸の割合,有効態リン酸量が増大した.沖積土には多量の交換性Caが含まれることにより,ドロツケ畑にCaが供給され,土壌pHも上昇した.ただし,ドロツケ畑では,Caの溶脱傾向が著しく,とくに,作土層では,土壌pHが低い値を示した.客土層の厚さと乾燥密度ならびにSi_oの分析結果から,この圃場への客土投入量は,1ha当たり5000t程度と試算された.

Diagrams and slide rules for real numbers are practically used by scholars and engineers every day. These diagrams and slide rules serve speed & easiness in multiplication division and other difficult computations. Now complex numbers are used also in physics and engineering, specially in electric engineering. But the computation of complex numbers are so difficult and trouble some that they often lead many errors & mistakes in calcutation. Then diagrams & slide rules for complex numbers are devised in order to facilitate the computation, and to make it possible to calculate rapidly and to check.

東アジア諸国間の対話と交流は、歴史に由来する論争により妨げられており、そのため東アジアの歴史和解の試みは「失敗」であると総括されることが多い。しかしながら、東アジアにおける歴史認識には、単に戦争責任だけでなく植民地責任をめぐる問題が主題化されており、世界的に重要な先駆的実践として評価されるべきものがある。東アジアの各地域は、民主化と経済発展を、異なる時期に異なるプロセスとして経験し、そのため現在の歴史に関する国民感情にも、大きなズレが生じている。東アジア諸国がこのズレを認識し、既存の国際法体系の批判的に検討しつつ歴史共同研究を推進することで、東アジアの歴史和解を推進することが可能となる。

It is a well-known fact that identity politics emerged in Taiwan following its political democratization. Competing notions and discourses concerning the identity of Taiwan's polity are vying for political support. This can be better understood in the context of post-war years, when the Taiwall state was reconstructed as a"settler state"(in Ronald Weitzer's term)by the Chinese Nationalist Party(the Kuomintang:KMT). KMT's retreat to Taiwan after its defeat in the Civil War against the Chinese Communists restructured Taiwan's multi-ethnic society by bringing in a new "ethnic"group, the Mainlanders. The Mainlanders or Waishengren (literally people of outer provinces), who fled with the KMT regime to Taiwan, also monopolized the core positions of the settler state. Although this is a widely recognized fact, academic studies concerning this situation and the role of Waishengren in post-war Taiwan remain limited. This study is a preliminary effort to contribute to the existing researches on Waishengren. It first shows that a deep ethnic division between Waishengren and Benshengren (literally people of this province)was formed as a result of Bensh engren's uprising against the KMT-led Taiwan provincial government, on February 28,1947, and the subsequent harsh suppression which claimed between 180,00 and 28,0001ives(the February 28 1ncident). Based on the demographic data of Waishengren, the study then provides a rough picture of the social outlook of Waishengren during the early years of their settlement in Taiwan.

慶應義塾大学では並列計算機の性能評価を目的に,並列計算機シミュレータライブラリISISと相互結合網シミュレータライブラリSPIDERを開発している.本研究では,これらのライブラリを利用して分散共有メモリ型並列計算機モデルであるNUMAのシミュレーションを行うため,新たな機能ブロックとしてネットワークインタフェースを開発してライブラリの拡張を行った.本稿では,ライブラリの拡張方法と,実装した幾つかのシミュレータ上でSPLASH2プログラム集を実行して性能評価を行った結果を示す.本研究により,様々な相互結合網について命令レベルシミュレーションによる性能評価を可能にした.A instruction level simulation library "ISIS" which is developed by Keio University supports to simulate a bus connected multiprocessor. On the other hand, "SPIDER" which is also developed by us supports to simulate an interconnection networks. Here, these two simulation libraries are combined to simulate a large scale multiprocesor connected with an interconnection network. We also implemented several distributed shared memory mulitprocessor simulator based on the new library. In this paper, the new extension method of library is described, and performance evaluation of the implemented simulator is shown.

中国では、漢字が、簡略化や教育によって、血肉化され、作家達も、前近代的なものを凝視し続けた.戦前の日中関係では、日本の漢学者と漢字紙が大きな役割を果たした.戦後韓国は、漢字を駆逐する一方、伝統的な同姓不婚制度を再構築させ、台湾は、漢字を簡略化せず、80 年代以降には、多文化主義的な社会統合理念を形成した.それに対して、中国大陸では今や、漢字文化からも消費文化からも疎遠な農村が、自律と国家による制御の間で揺れ動いている.本研究は以上を実証的に解明した.

切除不能,肝動脈塞栓療法(TAE)の施行出来ない大型肝細胞癌(結節型,腫瘍径5~8cm:HCC)7例に対し,自作のマイクロ波電極を用いた超音波誘導下経皮的マイクロ波凝固療法(PMCT)および経皮的エタノール注入療法(PEIT)の併用治療を施行しその効果を検討た.併用治療の抗腫瘍効果は良好で,腫瘍縮小率は平均40%を示した.現時点での生存期間は,6カ月~14カ月で7例中2例が死亡,2例とも肝硬変による肝不全死であった.また治療後例中3例に肝内に新しいHCCが出現したが,治療を施した腫瘍からの局所再発は認めていない.剖検標本では,治療時腫瘍長径7cmの大型HCCが被膜浸潤部を含め完全壊死に陥っているのが確認された.PEIT施行前に,PMCTを行うことによりPEITの治療回数およびエタノールの総注入量の減少,減量が可能であった.以上より本併用治療は,患者に対する負担の少ない効率の良い局所治療となり得ると考えられた.
