Non-neuronal and atropine-sensitive ileal contractile responses to short chain fatty acids (SCFAs) are detected in the neonatal stage, and change with age or inflammatory conditions. However, the roles of luminal SCFAs in developmental changes have not yet been elucidated. We examined ileal contractile responses to SCFAs in mice colonized with different SCFA-producing intestinal microbiota under normal and inflammatory conditions. Using conventional (Conv), germ-free (GF), and gnotobiotic mice infected with Bifidobacterium (GB-bif), Propionibacterium (GB-prop), or Lactobacillus (GB-lact), ileal contractions were measured in 1-day-old neonates and 7-week-old mice using an isotonic transducer. Contractions occurred in all 1-day-old neonates, and were significantly desensitized in the adult stage in the Conv, GB-bif, and GB-prop groups, but not in the GF and GB-lact groups. An injection of lipopolysaccharide frequently restored desensitized contractions; however, the contraction rate did not change in the GF and GB-lact groups. The relative mRNA expression of a SCFA receptor (GPR43) or nicotinic acetylcholine receptor α7 was weaker in the GF group (0.3-fold or 0.4-fold expression level, respectively) than in the Conv group. In conclusion, the luminal inhabitation of SCFA-producing bacteria may potentiate the regulation of non-neuronal and atropine-sensitive ileal contractile responses to SCFAs under healthy and inflammatory conditions.

La tendence extrêmement formaliste du droit hanafite rend le plus souvent difficile d'interpréter ses solutions positives. Cette difficulté est aggravée par le fait que les premiers juristesn'en expliquent pas les motivations.Voici deux exemples qui en fournissent une bonne illustration.(1) En matière de responsabilité délictuelle, certains des hanafis, ne reconnaissant que difficilement comme étant établi le lien de causalité entre le fait dommageable et la conséquence mauvaise, ne font encourir aucune responsabilité à celui qui a ouvert le cage, au cas où l'oiseau qui s'y trouve s'enfuirait.(2) En ce qui concerne la vente portant sur un corps certain, les hanafis ne permettent pas à l'acheteur de disposer de la chose vendue avant qu'il n'en ait pris la livraison, car le vendeur ne détient pas la chose en tant que mandataire de l'acheteur, ce qui rend impossible, sur le plan juridique, la livraison immédiate de la chose au second acquéreur.

The purpose of this study was to clarify the pattern of muscular activity in the trunk, thigh and lower leg during the underwater dolphin kick in elite female competitive swimmers. The participants were 9 national-level competitive female swimmers who performed underwater dolphin kick swimming for 15 m at maximum effort. Sagittal movement was recorded for 2-D motion analysis, and surface electromyographic (EMG) data were recorded from 6 muscles: rectus abdominis (RA), elector spinae (ES), rectus femoris (RF), biceps femoris (BF), tibialis anterior (TA), and gastrocnemius (GAS). The EMG data were used to investigate the active phase during one kick cycle. Furthermore, the co-active phases between the agonist and the antagonist in the trunk, thigh and lower leg were evaluated in terms of estimated muscular coordination. The kinematic results indicated that the average swimming velocity and the strouhal number for these swimmers were similar to those for Olympic swimmers in a previous study. Furthermore, a whiplash-like action was observed in their underwater dolphin kick movement. The EMG results indicated that the active phases of all subjective muscles during one kick cycle were approximately 60%. Co-active phases were observed in all pairs (RA-ES: 24.1±10.1%, RF-BF: 23.2±5.5%, TA-GAS: 45.5±20.2%), and the co-active phase of TA-GAS was significantly larger than for the other pairs (p<0.05). From these results, two main findings emerged with regard to the muscular activity pattern during the underwater dolphin kick in elite female competitive swimmers: (1) the muscular activity patterns in the trunk and thigh muscles were reciprocal; (2) the co-active phase for the lower leg muscles was larger than for the other parts and occurred during the first half of the upward kick phase.

スケーラビリティのある多段接続網を用いた大容量可変長パケットスイッチのアーキテクチャを検討している。本稿では、パケットの分散入力の原理を導入し、再ルーティングの原理を用いた多段接続網を提案した。提案スイッチは複数段のノンバッファ単位スイッチで構成され、Shuffle Patternで多段接続され、リングトポロジーで繋いで、入力ポートをこのリング状に分散させる。スイッチに入力されるトラヒックは均等に各段に分散され、単位スイッチの利用効率の向上を図って、従来の再ルーティング型パケットスイッチよりも少ないハードウェア量で目標のパケット損失率を達成できる。また、不均一なトラヒックの場合でも、均一なトラヒックの場合とほとんど変わらない性能を示す。

Background: Maternal care (egg-nymph guarding behavior) has been recorded in some genera of Acanthosomatidae. However, the origin of the maternal care in the family has remained unclear due to the lack of phylogenetic hypotheses. Another reproductive mode is found in non-caring species whose females smear their eggs before leaving them. They possess pairs of complex organs on the abdominal venter called Pendergrast’s organ (PO) and spread the secretion of this organ onto each egg with their hind legs, which is supposed to provide a protective function against enemies. Some authors claim that the absence of PO may be associated with the presence of maternal care. No study, however, has tested this hypothesis of a correlated evolution between the two traits. Results: We reconstructed the molecular phylogeny of the subfamily Acanthosomatinae using five genetic markers sequenced from 44 species and one subspecies with and without maternal care. Eight additional species from the other two acanthosomatid subfamilies were included as outgroups. Our results indicated that maternal care has evolved independently at least three times within Acanthosomatinae and once in the outgroup species. Statistical tests for correlated evolution showed that the presence of maternal care is significantly correlated with the secondary loss or reduction of PO. Ancestral state reconstruction for the node of Acanthosoma denticaudum (a non-caring species in which egg smearing with developed POs occurs) and A. firmatum (a caring species with reduced POs) suggested egg smearing was still present in their most recent common ancestor and that maternal care in A. firmatum has evolved relatively recently. Conclusions: We showed that maternal care is an apomorphic trait that has arisen multiple times from the presence of PO within the subfamily Acanthosomatinae. The acquisition of maternal care is correlated with the reduction or loss of PO, which suggests an evolutionary trade-off between the two traits resulting from physiological costs. This prediction also implies that presence of maternal care can be highly expected for those groups lacking behavioral data, which invariably also lack the organ. No secondary loss of maternal care was detected in the present tree. We suggest that the loss of maternal care may be suppressed due to the vulnerability of the PO-free condition, which thus maintains maternal care.

移動通信システムにとって使い勝手の良い6GHz以下の帯域については,第3世代携帯電話や無線LANを始めとして稠密に利用されており,深刻な電波の逼迫状況が生じている.電波の利用状況は時間や場所に応じて異なっており,逼迫している電波をより有効かつ効率的に活用するため,複数の電波利用システム間における電波の高度な共同利用の実現が求められている.報告者はこれまでに複数の無線システムを統合するコグニティブ無線システムについて無線環境認識技術やコグニティブ無線を実現するためのシステム構成について検討してきた.本報告では,基礎実験システムにIP-TV電話を接続し,コグニティブ無線システムの基礎通信システムの通信特性の測定結果を示す.測定の結果,無線LANは通信悪化時に各種測定値の変動が大きいが,通信状態の復帰時に測定値の復帰が早く,WiMAXは802.16-2004と802.16eのどちらも通信悪化時の変動が小さい代わりに測定値の復帰に時間が掛かることが判った.

学童のいる世帯の調理行動を類推するために食品の常備状況を調査した.<BR>群馬県内に居住する, 小学生を持つ世帯の調理担当者を対象に, 比較的保存性のある50食品の常備状況を質問した.<BR>有効回答票2,721部を集計した結果, 醤油, 味噌, 食塩, 米, 植物油は99%以上の世帯が常備していた.99%未満90%代の常備率は砂糖, 卵, コショウ, 酢, 海苔, 小麦粉, ジャガイモ, タマネギ, トマトケチャップ, 牛乳であり, 80%はワカメ, 片栗粉, マーガリン, カツオ節, 風味調味料, ニンジン, パン粉, 70%代にゴマがあった.60%代には固形スープの素, ネギ, うま味調味料, 天ぷら粉, 乾麺, カレールウが, 50%代にはバター, コンブ, ツナ缶, そして40%代にはショウガ, ニンニク, パン, 煮干し, 干し椎茸が並んだ.以下, チーズ, 市販麺つゆ, 素材冷凍食品 (30%代), 即席麺, 唐揚げ粉, ホットケーキミックス (20%代), 調理冷凍食品, 合わせ調味料, モチ米, チャーハンの素, 100%果汁飲料, 清涼飲料水 (10%代), そして最下位の炭酸飲料は7%であった.<BR>各種の調味・香辛料類を調理目的別に配合した調味用食品 (合わせ調味料) や用途を限定した小麦粉加工品, あるいは「~のもと」と称する, 簡便さを売り物にした食品類も高率ではないが世帯の常備品目に進出していることが確認された.<BR>洗浄, 切断, 加熱などの調理操作が必須な素材食品であるジャガイモ, タマネギ, ニンジンの常備率の高さや, 利用するには調理加工が必要な小麦粉, パン粉の常備率などから類推する現り, 学童がいる世帯において「まな板と包丁のない家庭がある」とは肯定し難い.しかし調理担当者が40歳代の家事専業多世代世帯では総じて食品の常備率が高く, 30歳代家事兼業二世代世帯では低いという結果は, 世帯のタイプにより調理行動の活発度に差があることを示唆している.<BR>回答者の負担が小さいこの方法により, 家庭の調理行動の概況を類推することは可能であると考える.
