In the early morning on Jan. 6, 1982, 135 cetaceans were found stranded alive at Aoshima Beach, Miyazaki, Japan. Since Aristotle reported on the strnading of dolphins, single or mass stranding of various kinds of cetaceans have been reported from many parts of the world. However, the reason for such mass stranding is not still fully explained to everyone's satisfaction.We have examined one of them and found a lot of parasites in the bilateral tympanic cavities. The parasites were identified to belong to the genus Nasitrema and closest to Nasitrema gondo Yamaguchi. The number of the parasites were over 30 in each ears, and the mucous membrane of the cavity was inflammed. The ossicular chain was fixed especially the stapes was fixed at the oval window. The periotic bone including the labyrinth was studied histologically. In the labyrinth pathological changes were minimum. However, the octavus nerve was inflammed and many eggs with triangular shape in cross section were found near the nerve. From the findings obtained, we would like to conclude that parasitogenic otitic and octavus neuropathy should be a possible cause of live mass stranding of cetaceans.

Avadānakalpalatā (Av-klp)はカシミールの詩人Kṣemendra (西暦990–1066年頃)によって書かれた108章からなる仏教説話集成である.同作品の第31章第32詩節には「心」(manas)を「恩知らずな者」(akṛtajñaḥ)に喩える〈直喩〉(upamā)の用例が見られる.古典詩論家達は〈直喩〉が成立する条件の一つに喩えるものと喩えられるものの文法上の性と数,格の一致を挙げる.問題の〈直喩〉ではそれぞれ,喩えるものと喩えられるものである「心」と「恩知らずな者」という語が文法上の性を異にする.本論文はKṣemendraがなぜ詩論家達の規定に抵触する〈直喩〉をここで用いたのかという問題の解明を試みるものである.喩えるものと喩えられるものの文法上の一致が成立しない〈直喩〉の用例は劇作家Bhavabhūti (西暦8世紀)の戯曲作品Mālatīmādhava第9幕第10詩節に見られる.註釈者Jagaddhara (西暦13–14世紀頃)は,問題の詩節では〈情〉(rasa)が示唆されているので,〈直喩〉の文法上の不一致が許されると説明する.このことから,西暦8世紀頃には,詩論家達の規定の枠内で〈直喩〉を組み立てることよりも,〈情〉を示唆することを重要視する文学的慣習が戯曲詩人達の間に存在したことが推定される.演劇論家Dhanaṃjaya (西暦10世紀後半)は,Bharataの演劇論を体系化し,演劇論書Daśarūpaを著している.同書の第4章では八種類の〈情〉が定義されている.Av-klp第31章第32詩節に先行する第27詩節と第28詩節にはそれぞれ,abhilāṣa「欲求」,vīṇā「ヴィーナー〔の音〕」という語が見られる.Dhanaṃjayaによれば,前者は運命やその他の理由で一緒になることができない男女に生じる〈恋〉(śṛṅgāra)の〈情〉が成熟していく最初の段階を,後者は〈恋〉の〈喚起条件〉を言葉で表現するのに用いられる語とされる.このことはAv-klp第31章第32詩節で〈恋〉の〈情〉が示唆されていることを意味する.以上の点を考慮すると,Av-klp第31章第32詩節に見られる〈直喩〉の喩えるものと喩えられるものの文法上の不一致は,Kṣemendraが詩論家の規則を満たすことができなかったことを意味するものではなく,彼が〈情〉を示唆することを,詩論家の規則に従って〈直喩〉を組み立てることよりも重視したことによる結果であると解釈できる.

La Poétique de Charles Perrault dans son essai de poème épique chrétien Le milieu du XVIIe siècle a vu paraître de nombreux poèmes épiques traitant de sujets chrétiens. Cette veine, souvent négligée par l’histoire littéraire, qui l’a jugée comme un échec, est fortement liée à la Querelle des Anciens et des Modernes. Le chef du parti moderne, Charles Perrault (1628-1703), est un des auteurs et promoteurs de ce nouveau genre. Dans cet article, nous étudions un de ses poèmes épiques intitulé Saint Paulin, évêque de Nole (1686), en concentrant notre analyse sur l’épître dédicatoire adressée à Bossuet, qui était un évêque puissant à l’époque. Nous nous employons à dégager les idées originales que Perrault met en oeuvre dans sa pratique du genre. Dans la première moitié de son épître, Perrault essaye de se justifier sur le choix du sujet de Saint Paulin en se fondant sur les règles générales de la poésie épique communément admises à cette époque. Plus originale est la seconde partie, où il propose sa propre poétique, qui vise à faire naître chez le lecteur des sentiments moraux et pieux à travers les descriptions de la nature et des choses humaines. Cette « poétique morale et pédagogique » dépasse l’opposition entre le christianisme et le paganisme, et pose les jalons vers l’oeuvre de ses dernières années, ses célèbres Contes.

N-次元ユークリッド空間の有界領域Ωにおいて,斉次ディリクレ型境界条件下で,次の方程式: du/dt - △u + β(u) + G(x,t,u) = f(x,t) に対する初期値問題,時間周期問の解の存在について研究した.ここで,β(u) は(多価)単調作用素,摂動項 G(x,t,u) は連続性の集合値関数への拡張概念である,上半連続性(usc)及び下半連続性(lsc)を有する集合値関数.G が集合値関数の時には,超一次増大度条件の下でも,対応する結果は存在しなかった.本研究では,一気に G が一価の場合の最良な結果を,集合値関数の場合に拡張することに成功した.

L-オルニチンおよびL-グルタミン含有食品摂取による周術期栄養改善およびQOL への影響を検討するための介入試験を行った.消化器癌開腹手術を実施する90 歳以下の男女18 名を試験食品摂取群または非摂取群の2 群に無作為に分け,術前・術後の7 日間ずつにわたり試験食品を摂取させ,栄養関連指標,体組成,QOL について評価した.その結果,両群において手術の侵襲による栄養関連指標,体組成量の低下が観察されたが,試験食品摂取による影響はみられなかった.一方で,QOL アンケートより,身体機能,役割機能,倦怠感,疼痛について,非摂取群でみられたスコアの低下が試験食品摂取群では認められなかった.これらのことから,周術期に一定期間L-オルニチンおよびL-グルタミンを摂取することにより,患者のQOL を良好に保つことができる可能性が示唆された.

Chiheisen (1955) is the first collection of poetry by KIM Si-jong (1929-), a Korean resident in Japan writing poetry in Japanese. It consists of two parts. According to Kim, the second part is composed of what he calls “things more Korean than what foreigners could articulate in Japanese."Kim used two poetic methods to change ‘things Korean' into ‘things more Korean.' Firstly, he used images closely related to Korea, such as Chima, Jindallae, and hometown scenery, not in the conceptual framework to arouse emotional feelings but in the context of reality. This unconventional method is derived from ONO Tōzaburō's Shiron (1947) that condemned traditional Japanese poetry and described that lyric poetry is ‘criticism', not ‘feelings'. Kim, who had admired Japanese poetry during the Japanese colonial rule, was greatly influenced by his work.Secondly, Kim adapted some lines from modern Korean poetry into historical events such as the Massacre of Koreans during the Great Kanto Earthquake and the Korean War. Kim insists that modern Korean poetry was formed based on ‘Japanese naturalism as aesthetics' under the Japanese colonial rule. Moreover, some borrowings were taken in the way of dissimilating KIM So-un's Chōsen Shishū (1940, 1943, 1953, 1954), an anthology of modern Korean poetry translated into Japanese in the seven-five meter. Kim had been a devoted reader of Chōsen Shishū during the colonial period.This paper will explore how ‘things more Korean' indicates decolonization of ‘things Korean' including Kim himself from ‘things Japanese.'

The purpose of the present study was to examine the effects of commitment and of cooperation vs. competition which were assumed to influence the relative strength of consistency tendency and reciprocity tendency. Ss were 64 students in the 7th grade, and were asked to judge photographed faces in the group consisting of nine-students. After each trial, each S's judgement was announced. Attitudes toward others were measured by a questionnaire. The obtained results and interpretations of them were as follows: (a) Reciprocity tendency was generally significant. (b) Consistency tendency was also evident in the cooperation-commitment condition and the competition-non-commitment condition. (c) In the former condition Ss avoided over estimations from others due to the fear for taking responsibility beyond their ability. (d) In the latter condition overestimations imposed Ss a strong mental strain.

増加しつつある認知症を一般診療でどのように画像診断するか、一般臨床での有用性を中心に概説し、病理診断との比較結果をまじえてその注意点と限界について考察する。アルツハイマー病(AD)、前頭側頭葉変性症(FTLD)はデータベースを活用し、必要に応じて自件例の画像を使った。MRI の画像診断においては、voxel-based morphometry(VBM)を導入し、機械学習の有用性についても検討した。通常の画像診断は、必ずしも病理の結果とは一致しないものの、AD においては80%以上は一致していた。実際にはレビー小体病やTDP-43 などとの混合型も多くふくまれていることがわかった。AD の診断においては脳萎縮のパターンから機械学習を導入すると診断の精度の向上が期待できる。また、VBM はFTLD の診断にも有用と思われた。

Single-stage extended replacement from the ascending to the distal descending aorta or beyond is a formidable operation that should be preserved for those who have no other option or those who are physically fit, and should be performed in the experienced centers. Hybrid operations combining open surgical repair with thoracic endovascular aortic repair through a median sternotomy incision are preferable because these operations are less invasive than the extended open aortic repair and the risk of spinal cord ischemia is lower compared with the frozen elephant trunk operation. However, these operations are associated with the inherent demerits of endovascular aneurysm exclusion. When the underlying aortic pathology necessitates extended open aortic repair in a single stage, approaches such as the anterolateral partial sternotomy, straight incision with rib cross, and extended thoracotomy with sternal transection may be useful to provide sufficient exposure for both aortic reconstruction and organ protection, with less surgical stress to the patients.

ソ連継承諸国の中で、安定的な支配党体制を建設したロシア、アゼルバイジャン、カザフスタンの政治が注目されてきたが、実は、短命な支配党が現れては消える脆弱支配党体制の方が多数派である。本研究は、ウクライナ、モルドヴァ、ジョージア、アルメニア、クルグズスタンにおいて、脆弱支配党体制が生まれたのはなぜかを明らかにする。
