コンサートやスポーツ・イベントにおいて観衆の一体感を生成するシステムが広まりつつある.本論文では,事前の準備を必要とせずに複数の端末上のブラウザを一元的にコントロールできるシステムを提案する.本システムはWebSocketとHTML5によって構成されており、ブラウザを用いて特定のURLにアクセスするのみでデバイスを表示やコントロールに利用することが可能となる.本システムは参加型のライブパフォーマンスとして利用できる.

本研究では、高校生の通学時における地域風土との接触が地域愛着の醸成に与える影響を実証的に検証することで、どのような接触機会が地域愛着形成に有効であるかを明らかにした。具体的には、富山県小矢部市内の高校に通学する高校生380人を対象にアンケート調査を実施した結果、自然や人との接触が地域愛着(選好)や地域愛着(感情)に影響を与えることを統計的に明らかにした。さらには、子どもの頃の地域愛着醸成がUターン意識や地域における活動への参加意識の向上につながる可能性が示唆されたことから、Uターン施策として、地域愛着を醸成する通学路の計画や地域の人や自然との接触機会を増やす施策が有効である可能性を示した。

今回は薬局フォーリア小池店で、橋本病(甲状腺機能低下症)を患う75歳の女性、生田佳子さん(仮名)の薬歴をオーディットしました。生田さんは、約18年前からチラーヂンS錠(一般名:レボチロキシンナトリウム)の服用を続けており、現在は比較的体調が安定している維持期の患者です。甲状腺疾患が原因と思われる脂質異常症も合併しているようです。

本研究はジャカルタのカンポン・アクアリウム(Kampung Akuarium)を対象としては居住者による「個人」が捉えるカンポンの姿から「集団」がつくり上げる空間や秩序と自己組織化との関係を明らかにするものである。このカンポンは2016年4月、州政府によって強制立ち退き・住宅撤去が行われたが、その後居住者復帰と再建の運びとなり今まさに一からカンポンの物理的環境を構築しようとしている。物理的環境の再建に向けて、既に開発されている「都市認識」へアプローチするダイアログ手法を導入し、居住者らが抱く「カンポン」の姿へ迫った。結果12名の居住者「個人」が捉える自地域の姿と成り立ちを明らかにし、その中での価値付けに基づく空間的関与が撤去後に仮設されたシェルターの住環境にも反映され、実現している空間があることを確認した。さらに、撤去により物理的環境が失われても自律的に残っている「集団」がTempat Nyamanの存在や、漁村、密集市街地ならではの空間性を共有していることを明らかにした。以上から「個人」の多様な捉え方と関与の実現を許容しつつ、同時に異なるレベルで「集団」によって自律的に生まれる秩序とその実現が住環境をつくり上げていくというある種の自己組織化が明らかになった。

This paper points out epistemic violence over the ‘Afghan Girl’ whose photographic portrait became iconic after appearing on a National Geographic cover in 1985. It was during the Soviet occupation of Afghanistan, when the girl was photographed in Pakistan for the first time, which subsequently made her widely known in the West. Her picture articulates the image of innocent Afghans suffering from the ‘evildoing’ of the Soviets during the Cold War. It drew the sympathy of quite a few Westerners toward Afghan refugees, encouraging them to become involved in antiwar volunteer activities and charities. Despite her picture’s tremendous publicity, nothing was known about her until the curiosity about her re-emerged after a long hiatus when the Taliban regime collapsed due to attacks by NATO in 2001. By the time National Geographic crews found the ‘Afghan Girl’ again in Pakistan in 2002, her symbolic significance shifted from that of a victim of Soviet air strikes to one of the Taliban regime, notorious for having introduced sexist policies to Afghanistan. The rediscovery of the ‘Afghan Girl’ is associated with a paternalistic project aiming at saving the girl from a barbaric male-dominated society. The fact that the National Geographic decided to create the Afghan Girl’s Fund to support girls’ education is clear evidence that some Westerners view themselves as saviors of miserable girls who do not have access to proper education. They needed a woman—not a man—as an icon, one that can successfully project the image of a victim of female oppression to suit their convenience. The trajectory of the ‘Afghan Girl’ stimulates us to revisit Gayatri Spivak’s critique on speaking about women in subaltern classes. Spivak disclosed Foucault and Deleuze’s imperialist subject-constitution in her paper entitled “Can the Subaltern Speak?” She maps out the subjective sovereignty of varying elites(in her case, the British and Indian elites) by demonstrating the practice of sati, the burning of widows on their husbands’ funeral pyres, and its subsequent abolition in India. Spivak reached the conclusion that no one encounters the testimony of the women’s voice-consciousness, as subjective sovereignty is always conserved among the elites. This paper suggests some similarities between the ‘Afghan Girl’ and the controversy over sati. Whenever the magazine photographs and writes about the ‘Afghan Girl,’ the West is always presupposed as the subject. Global/ local elites represent her in a way suiting their interest. Although she is formidably publicized, her raison d’être is recognized only as a mirror of Westerners. As such, she is situated as ‘the other’ whose relevance fluctuates in accordance with the context of Western politics. This paper tries to problematize such issues, and looks into subjectivity, representation and the intersectionality of the ‘Afghan Girl’ from a post-colonial perspective.

The synthesis of bioinert oxide films on pure Ti surfaces by chemical-hydrothermal treatment was investigated. Some pure Ti substrates were chemically treated with H2O2/HNO3 to form a TiO2 gel layer prior to hydrothermal treatment. Two types of solutions in the hydrothermal treatment were prepared: Zr(OH)4 gel dispersed NH3/CH3CH(OH)COOH solution and Zr dissolved NH3/CH3CH(OH)COOH solution. A uniform layer of very fine crystals were formed on the surfaces of the specimens subjected to the hydrothermal treatment. Sharp peaks attributed to TiO2 and/or ZrO2 appeared after the hydrothermal treatment. ZrO2-TiO2 composite films were successfully produced on the Ti surface by hydrothermal treatment with the Zr(OH)4 gel dispersed NH3/CH3CH(OH)COOH solution at 453 K for 12 h, following the chemical treatment. The proliferation of osteoblast-like MC3T3-E1 cells was also investigated. The cells were observed to have spread their pseudopodiums. The cell density increased monotonically with incubation period for all specimens. The proliferation of cells was strongly influenced by the surface roughness; the cell densities increased with decreasing roughness in the range of Ra=20–80 nm. Furthermore, the surface products with TiO2 showed a relatively low rate of proliferation. The strong attachment of cells to the surface may hinder cell migration.

新型コロナウイルス感染が全世界的な解決すべき課題となっている。新型コロナウイルス感染者からの自殺者まで出ている。現代にあっては、新型コロナウイルスはある種の「差別」の対象ともなっていると言えるのではないか。しかし、「差別」の対象は人種問題、ジェンダー、障がい者問題等、さまざまある。本稿では差別や、人の「自己中心性」を取り上げたうえで、差別、偏見、自己中心性から脱却するためのひとつの概念として、「愛」という概念を取り上げた。「愛」を実践した人物として、吉田松陰と三浦綾子の場合を検討した。そして、ヒューマンサービス業である教育職や福祉職が自分自身さえも「特別視」せず、「与えること」を実践することで、学生や利用者らも「与え手」になり得ること、そうして両者が与え合う応答関係になり得ることの試論を試みた。

Objective: We report a case of contrast-induced encephalopathy (CIE) after repeated percutaneous transluminal angioplasty (PTA) for acute middle cerebral artery (MCA) occlusion.Case Presentation: An 88-year-old woman with left hemiparesis was transferred to our hospital by ambulance. MRI revealed acute MCA M1 occlusion. We performed intravenous tissue plasminogen activator therapy and PTA for right MCA occlusion, leading to complete recanalization and improvement in hemiparalysis. After approximately one week, restenosis of right MCA developed and PTA was performed again on day 11. However, her left hemiparesis exacerbated shortly thereafter. CT demonstrated leakage of contrast medium, and an extensive high-intensity area (HIA) on the white matter in the right cerebral hemisphere was noted on MRI FLAIR. The HIA on MRI and neurological deficits gradually improved after conservative treatment, but diffuse atrophy of the right cerebral hemisphere occurred and higher brain dysfunction remained.Conclusion: Repeated ischemia and reperfusion, and the frequent use of contrast media were considered the causes of CIE.

Objective: In various fields, differences in eye-gazing patterns during tasks between experts and novices have been evaluated. The aim of this study was to investigate gazing patterns during neuro-endovascular treatment using an eye-tracking device and assess whether gazing patterns depend on the physician’s experience or skill.Methods: Seven physicians performed coil embolization for a cerebral aneurysm in a silicone vessel model under biplane X-ray fluoroscopy, and their gazing patterns were recorded using an eye-tracking device. The subjects were divided into three groups according to experience, highly experienced (Expert) group, intermediately experienced (Trainee) group, and less experienced (Novice) group. The duration of fixation on the anterior–posterior (AP) view screen, lateral (LR) view, and out-of-screen were compared between each group.Results: During microcatheter navigation, the Expert and Trainee groups spent a long time on fixation to AP, while the Novice group split their attention between each location. In coil insertion, the Expert group gazed at both the AP and the LR views with more saccades between screens. In contrast, the Trainee group spent most of their time only on the AP view screen and the Novice group spent longer out-of-screen.Conclusion: An eye-tracking device can detect different gazing patterns among physicians with several experiences and skill levels of neuroendovascular treatment. Learning the gazing patterns of experts using eye tracking may be a good educational tool for novices and trainees.

Coincidental result of the analysis with the experiment on the relation between the conditions of impact and the deformation was reported previously.Influence of friction at the contact surface was considered analytically in this report, and the result was compared with that of the experiment.The volume (V) of indentation is expressed by coefficient of friction (μ), normal stress (σ) at the contact surface, kinetic energy (1/2mv2) of sphere and diameters (d, D) of indentation and sphere as following;V=1/σ(1+μd/5D)-11/2mv2So far as the indentation is not so large, friction term is negligible.
