A new species of majid crab, Sakaija amicitiae n. sp., is described from New Caledonia Exclusive Economic Zone, Vauban seamount and the Chesterfield Atolls. The species is superficially similar to S. japonica (Rathbun, 1932) and S. santo Ng & Richer de Forges, 2015, from Vanuatu. Specimens from New Caladonia previously referred to S. santo are now referred to the new species. Sakaija amicitiae n. sp. can be distinguished from congeners by features of the carapace spines, proportions of the ambulatory legs and structure of the male first gonopod.

Three species of the sponge-dwelling lobster Eiconaxius are known from the eastern Pacific. Previous reports and descriptions were based on dead specimens. During a study by remotely operated vehicle, Eiconaxius baja was photographed in situ at the San Juan Seamount within a sponge of the family Phariidae. It tried to escape by swimming backward. Illuminated by the lights of the vehicle, the lobster had an orange color. The depth at which the lobster lives has no ambient light, so the function of the color remains uncertain.

Yellow sand, that is, a heavy dust storm over the Far East is studied from a viewpoint of statistical and synoptic meteorology. Secular variation of annual number of days with yellow sand at Nagasaki is shown for the 62-year period between 1914 and 1975. The mean annual number of days is 5.3 days and 85 percent of them belong to spring. The travelling velocity of dust particles estimated from the surface observations in Japan islands almost corresponds to the westerly wind at an altitude of 4km. The size distribution of yellow sands collected at Nagasaki agrees with the power law distribution with the value of γ=3.0~3.5, where γ is the radius exponent defined by n(r)=Cr-γ.

Sports medicine is generally recognized as a specialty in the field of musculoskeletal medicine and encompasses the prevention and treatment of injuries related to sports and exercise. Additionally, sports medicine plays a role in our daily life, as it is important for maintaining our physical and mental health and preventing the onset of lifestyle-related diseases. Approximately 2400 years ago, the Greek doctor and philosopher Hippocrates stated that “walking is the best medicine”. I aim review the trends in insufficient physical activity among Japanese people and the intensity and amount of exercise required to maintain a healthy lifestyle.

本稿では槇原敬之の17枚のオリジナルアルバムの歌詞を分析し、まず語彙の構造を明らかにした。今回の調査では延べ語数においても異なり語数においても動詞が名詞を上回っていること、また英語の歌詞がかなり含まれていることがわかった。また、頻度30以上の119語を用いた主成分分析では例外的なアルバム(『不安』)はあるものの、概ね1999年までのアルバムと2000年以降とではっきりと分かれること、また階層的クラスター分析では最初期の2枚のアルバムが1つのクラスターを成していることが明らかとなった。これらのクラスターは評論家の意見、また槇原自身の言葉とも一致していることがわかった。この論文は「琉球大学欧米文化論集」(57号2013年p23-42)に掲載された論文を査読し、「九州地区国立大学教育系・文系研究論文集」Vol.1, No.1(2013/10)に採択されたものである。

The present paper analyzed Chinese medical staff (including stomatologists, pharmacists, and nurses), comprising a total 1782 persons who visited Japan from 1987 through 2006 and were sponsored by the Sasagawa Medical Fellowship. Chinese stomatologists accounted for 88 persons among the total of 1782. Among the 88 stomatologists, 15 were from the 4th Military Medical University, 9 from Jilin University, 8 from Beijing University, and 6 from China Medical University; a total of 25 were from North East China. The departments of Japanese universities attended by Chinese stomatologists included 17 departments of in periodontology and conservative dentistry, 16 departments of oral surgery, 12 departments of prosthetics, 11 departments of orthodontics, and 8 departments of pedodontics at dental and medical schools. Stomatologists who had learned major specialties in Chinese stomatological colleges also majored in similar specialties at the Japanese universities or hospitals.Chinese administrators have been investigating Japanese health science systems, including not only medical technology and clinical medicine, but also several administrative specialties such as medical law, public health, provention of infection diseases, cancer, population research, and budgets from both research and clinical perspectives.Medical staff from central administration in the Government of China have also learned considerably from his or her experience during investigations in Japan. No administration staff of stomatologists were supported by the Sasagawa Fund.

要旨 患者は51歳,男性.便潜血反応陽性.大腸内視鏡検査にて,S状結腸に深い陥凹を有する約10mmのIIa+IIc型病変が認められた.拡大観察では,陥凹面はIIILおよびIIIs型pitで占められ,生検部位でVI pitが認められた.粘膜内病変と判断し内視鏡的粘膜切除を施行した.病理学的には高度異型腺腫を伴う高分化型腺癌で,陥凹部で粘膜下層側へ深く侵入する像が認められた.腫瘍腺管は粘膜筋板を押し下げるように発育し,先進部においても部分的に粘膜筋板が認められた.先進部周囲の間質は粘膜内のものと同様であり,desmoplastic reactionを伴っていなかった.以上より,本病変はinverted growthにより深い陥凹を示したが,本質的にはそのほとんどが粘膜内の病変と考えられた.

大阪市立自然史博物館でカビ汚染の状況をモニタリングするため,収蔵庫や展示室などで落 下カビの調査を行い,以前行った寺社の収蔵庫での落下カビの調査の結果と比較した.大阪市立自 然史博物館の落下カビ数は,寺社の場合に比べて,非常に少ないことが明らかになった.寺社の空 調を施していない部屋に比べて1/100以下に,空調のある部屋に比しても1/30以下だった.また,収 蔵庫内部で生育したとみられるカビは見られなかった.その理由として,博物館の収蔵庫は年中温 湿度が20°C,55%に自動制御されていることが原因であると思われる.

柳田國男の独特の「学習」把握に関わる研究の一環として、一つの傍論として執筆した研究ノートである。柳田は通有の用語法に逆らうようにして、「オボエルことは重荷にならないがマナブことは骨が折れる」と言う。この指摘の深い意味を探るべく、本稿ではオボエルという語が現代の多様な著者たちによって、いかに理解され、どう表記されているかについて、一種の社会言語学的な実態調査を行った結果がまとめられている。

研磨したチタンに4種類の表面処理(サンドブラスト,プライマー,2種類のトライボケミカル)を施し,7種類のレジンセメントを用いてチタン接着体を接着させ,せん断接着強さ(SBS)の測定を行った.チタン研磨面における接着強さは,機能性モノマーを含有するアンフィルド系レジンセメントでは,コンポジット系レジンセメントよりも顕著に高いSBSを示したが,表面処理を施しても接着強さには影響しなかった.サンドブラスト処理面へのプライマー(B-MDP)処理では,機能性モノマーを含有しないコンポジット系レジンセメントは,顕著に高いSBSを示した.また,トライボケミカル(TRB)処理においても,B-MDP処理面とほぼ同等の高いSBSを示した.以上の結果から,チタンに対する接着強さの増加には,B-MDP処理やTRB処理を施した後,機能性モノマーを含有しないレジンセメントを用いた場合,最も効果的であった.
