養子免疫療法は、癌患者より採取したCD8+ T細胞から腫瘍特異的な細胞傷害性T細胞 (CTL) を分化誘導し、再び患者へと移入することで癌の退縮および転移・再発抑制を図る自己細胞療法である。しかし、癌患者は免疫抑制状態に陥っているため、治療に十分な数の腫瘍特異的CTLを誘導することが困難である。この打開策として、キメラ抗原受容体 (CAR) を発現させたCTLを創製する手法の開発が進められている。CARは、標的分子に特異的に結合する細胞外ドメインとCTL機能を修飾する細胞内シグナル伝達ドメインとを融合した人工蛋白質であり、CTLに標的分子特異的な細胞傷害活性を付与できる。本稿では、CAR研究の動向ならびに筆者らの腫瘍血管特異的CAR発現CTLを用いた次世代養子免疫療法について概説する。

海外出張の多い愛煙家にとって、つらい時代が到来した。この3月28日に全日本空輸が、4月1日には日本航空が国際線の全席禁煙に踏み切ったのだ(日本エアシステムは、現在国際線のみ喫煙可能で、今後は未定)。現在、両社とも、機内誌や旅行代理店などを通じて禁煙のアピールに余念がない。 国内線については、1998年9月に日航、同10月に全日空が全面禁煙を実施している。

明代に現れた神怪小説の代表作に、『西遊記』と『封神演義』がある。この両作品はいろんな点で類似するが、中でも注目されるのは、作中に挿入された詩詞に共通するものが少なからず見られることである。このことは、いずれかが原作で、いずれかがそれを借用した為と考えられる。拙論では、ストーリィの展開の中で、挿入された当該詩詞の妥当性を検討した結果、『西遊記』中の詩詞が原作で、『封神演義』のそれはそれを借用したものであるとの結論に達した。 神怪小説 『西遊記』 『封神演義』 成立時代

ちくわ、かまぼこなど水産練り製品メーカーのカネテツデリカフーズ(神戸市)は1998年1月、神戸地裁に和議開始を申請しました。大口の取引先が不渡りを出したため、本体と子会社合わせて66億円もの焦げ付きが発生し、資金繰りが悪化したのが原因です。負債総額は子会社を含めて約170億円に上りました。この責任をとって、私は7月7日付で、代表取締役社長から専務に降格しました。

間欠的かつ重度の下部消化管出血を呈した7歳齢,雌のミニチュア・ダックスフンドは下部消化管内視鏡検査において大腸全域に及ぶ粘膜表面の毛細血管の拡張・蛇行・集簇が観察された.それら特徴的な血管異常から大腸血管拡張症が強く疑われ,外科治療として病変部を含む直腸の一部を温存した大腸亜全摘出術が実施された.術後の出血便の頻度は激減し,合併症と考えられた便失禁や頻回の軟便の排泄は経過を追うごとに鎮静化した.本症例は術後688日が経過した時点において輸血を行うことなく安定した自宅管理が継続されている.摘出した大腸の病理組織学的検索では,粘膜及び粘膜下組織における広範な血管拡張が観察されたことから,本症例は本邦初となる犬の大腸血管拡張症の罹患例であると考えられた.

暴力や非行を繰り返す少年らには、感情のモニター力、自己制御機能とソーシャルスキルが不足している。本研究は、IQ70代のボーダーライン知能の少年に活用できるアンガーマネージメントプログラムの開発を目的とした。3年間の研究成果として、VRICS(Violence Risk Check Sheet)の作成と妥当性の検討、少年院・刑務所内で活用できるプログラムの開発、学校現場で活用できる啓発教育教材の開発とその実践により衝動性の減少および主体性の促進の効果が見られた。。アンガーマネージメントBプログラム(非行少年用)、Cプログラム(中学生用)が開発され、矯正教育施設および学校内で活用が開始されている。

This study aims to determine the microbiological profile and risk factors associated with antimicrobial-resistant bacteria in canine severe corneal ulcers. Thirty-two corneal and conjunctival swabs were collected from dogs with diagnosed severe corneal ulcers that presented to Prasu-Arthorn veterinary teaching hospital in Nakhon Pathom, Thailand from June 2015 to June 2016. Microorganisms were identified by means of genotypic and phenotypic approaches. Of 32 ulcers sampled, 26 (81.3%) yielded culturable microorganisms with 24 bacterial isolates and 7 fungal isolates. The most commonly isolated bacteria were Staphylococcus spp. (45.8%, 11/24) and Pseudomonas aeruginosa (20.8%, 5/24). Out of 11 staphylococcal isolates identified, 10 carried the mecA gene providing methicillin resistance. The extended-spectrum β-lactamase (ESBL) encoding genes blaCTX-M and blaVEB-1were found in an Acinetobacter lwoffii isolate, and blaSHV was found in a P. aeruginosa isolate. Based on the Clinical Laboratory Standards Institute (CLSI) and European Committee on Antimicrobial Susceptibility Testing (EUCAST) breakpoint criteria, minimum inhibitory concentrations values showed that all bacteria, except for staphylococci, were susceptible to current ophthalmic antibiotics. More than 50% of staphylococci were resistant to all generations of fluoroquinolones and fusidic acid. Chloramphenicol was highly active against staphylococci (81.3% susceptible). The width (P=0.02) and the depth (P=0.04) of ulcers predicted greater risk of yielding resistant bacteria. The identification of antimicrobial-resistant bacteria prompts practitioners to be prudent when choosing ophthalmic antibiotics for severe corneal ulcers.

The high productivity of gear skiving has caused the process to attract a lot of attention in recent years and taper shaped skiving cutters are generally used in current gear skiving. A cutter axis in gear skiving is inclined to a gear axis and a taper shaped skiving cutter could cause tooth profile deviations of skived gears after re-sharpening of tool faces. Adjusting cutter position and/or re-profiling of cutter flanks are applied to enable tooth profile deviations of skived gears to remain within acceptable ranges when the adjustment is necessary. Adjusting cutter position is preferred to re-profiling of cutter flanks due to desire for low production cost. However, the universality of the current methods of calculating cutter positions is still not confirmed. The present study explains that the current methods for obtaining cutter positions could require individual calculating formulas according to cutter specifications for each particular gear. A universal method which avoids such complexity of making various formulas could contribute to permit gear skiving to become more useful in the gear machining field. Then such a desirable method is proposed and the reasonability of the method is confirmed by experiments. In addition, this study discusses the existence of scope in which the method can be applied and a method for checking collisions between cutter flanks and gear tooth flanks being cut after adjustment of cutter position.
