本稿では,それぞれに流速が異なる複数の時間流を持つチャットシステムを提案し,その初期的な試用結果について報告する.時間には,一方向に一定速度で流れる物理的なクロノス時間と,流速が一定ではない主観的で心理的なカイロス時間の 2 種類がある.従来のチャットシステムはクロノス時間のみを採り入れていたが,本研究ではカイロス時間も取り込み,人の忘却作用による議論内容の自動的な精練と類似した機能を有する,新たなチャットシステムを構築する.冗談などの議論の本筋とは関係ない逸脱発言は高速に時間が経過する時間流上で発言し,議論の本筋と密接に関連する発言は低速に時間が経過する時間流上で発言する.これにより,タイムリーかつ気軽に逸脱発言を発言でき,しかもこれらの逸脱発言はすみやかに現在のログのビュー内から消えるため,議論の本筋に沿った発言の可読性が向上する.初期的な試用実験の結果,ユーザは流速の違いを自然に受け入れ,速い時間流上で逸脱発言をしつつ,遅い時間流上で議論の本筋に沿った発言をなし,期待通りに精練された議論ログが得られることが示された.We propose a novel chat system that has multiple streams of time whose velocities are different, and demonstrate a pilot study and its results. It is said that there are two types of time: Chronos time and Kairos time. Chronos time is physical time that passes monotonically and constantly, while Kairos time is psychological time whose speed changes. Although the ordinary chat systems have been based only on Chronos time, we attempt to incorporate Kairos time into the chat system so as to obtain an automatic refinement function of records of a discussion deriving from a human's forgetting ability. A user submits a digression like a joke on a fast stream of time, while he/she submits an important opinion on a slow one. The utterances on the fast stream quickly go out from the view of the chat log (forgotten), while those on the slow stream remain within the view for a while. As a result, he/she can casually and timely express any tiny questions and jokes, and the readability of the log of the main topic is improved. From results of a pilot study, we found that users naturally accepted the multiple different streams of time. They submitted digressions on the fast stream, while they submitted the important opinions on the slow stream. As a result, a refined chat log can be obtained as expected.

Objectives To investigate the efficacy of oral moxifloxacin (MFLX) as a treatment for pneumonia in hemodialysis (HD) patients and the pharmacokinetic (PK) profile of MFLX after oral administration. Methods Thirteen adult patients who required HD due to chronic renal failure were enrolled in the present study, which was performed to investigate the treatment of community-acquired pneumonia in HD patients. A standard dose of MFLX (400 mg, once daily) was administered. The therapy was continued, discontinued, or switched to another antibiotic depending on the response of the pneumonia to MFLX. A population PK model was developed using the post-hoc method. Results In total, 13 HD patients with pneumonia (male, n=7; female, n=6) were enrolled in the present study. The evaluation on the 3rd day showed that treatment was successful in 11 patients (84.6%) and that 10 patients were cured (76.9%). In the one case in which MFLX treatment failed, the patient was cured by switching to ceftriaxone (CTRX) (2 g, intravenously) plus levofloxacin (LVFX) (250 mg, orally). The causative bacterium in this male patient was P. aeruginosa. It did not display resistance to fluoroquinolones. One patient had liver dysfunction due to MFLX. The estimated PK parameters of MFLX were as follows: AUC0→24, 61.04±17.74 μg h/mL; Cmax, 5.25±1.12 μg/mL; and Ctrough, 1.15±0.45 μg/mL. The PK parameters of MFLX among the patients in whom adverse events occurred or in whom a cure was not achieved did not differ from those of the other patients to a statistically significant extent. Conclusion MFLX showed good efficacy and safety in HD patients with community-acquired pneumonia and the results of the PK analysis were favorable. Further prospective studies with larger numbers of patients will be needed to draw definitive conclusions.

Room air temperature is recommended to be kept 28℃ for conservation of energy today. For human thermal comfort in room temperature of 28℃, it is likely to need personal control of the men dress lighter and, an increased air velocity. The present paper, by questionnaire survey in office at air temperature of 28℃, and experiment with subjects and thermal manikin of various clothes at chamber shows how human may feel to environment with air temperature of 28℃. Additionally, it is proposed to comfortable condition at room temperature of 28℃ in office as clothes, air flow, and radiant temperature.

博物館を対象に全国規模で定期的に実施されている2つの調査の1つである「博物館総合調査」を継承する調査を、全国の4,045館を対象に平成25年12月1日を調査基準日として実施した。そして、その結果を分析すると共に、博物館の経営・運営と博物館政策の立案上の緊急を要する課題(現代的課題)の解決に貢献できる、「博物館の使命と市民参画」「指定管理者制度」「少子高齢化時代の博物館に求められる新しい手法の開発」「博物館の危機管理」の4つのテーマ研究を行った。これらの成果は報告書としてまとめ、Webサイトに掲載して広く公開している。

伝統的茅葺屋根建築は部材・材料の更新周期が短く,物理的な寿命も減少しており,これを保全するためには屋根の長期耐用化が求められている。しかし、材の種類と材の難燃性を区別した耐久性に関わる十分に検討はされていない。本研究では,茅葺屋根に着目し,長期的な耐用性を向上させる基礎的要因となる茅(すすき,ヨシ)に対し,ホウ酸―ケイ酸ナトリウム処理により難燃化しその特性を評価した。結果,茅材の種類,難燃化処理方法および効果の基本的な考え方が整理され,長期的に茅を保持するための有効な対策を示すことができた。
