我々は、ジンメルが展開した「同等化・差異化の欲求」論を拡張的に展開する試みをしている。ここでは、社会学的なアプローチがあまりなされていない「いき」と「通」のトピックにこの視点を適用する。「いき」と「通」に関する先行業績を援用すると「I通り者=意気=競い組」「II通」「III粋=いき」の三類型にまとめることができる。我々はそれぞれジンメルを参考に、「威信をめぐる闘争」「マニュアルを媒介にした流行」「二つの欲求の遊戯的形式での不安定的発散」として統一的視点から解釈することを提案する。最後に、「いき」の三徴表の相互関係と、「いき」の行く末への、ある示唆を行う。

海賊は,有史以来存在する海上危険である。しかし,時代の趨勢と共に海賊および海賊行為は変容し,今日の海賊は単なる武装強盗集団ではなく,ソマリア沖の海賊のようなハイテク武装集団も多く存在し,その目的も乗組員や旅客への襲撃や殺害,船舶や積荷の強奪といった往時の海賊の姿とは異なり,旅客等を人質に多額の身代金を要求する頭脳犯的な側面を持つものまで登場している。海賊の問題は,海上保険における海賊危険の取り扱いにも多大な影響を及ぼしているが,海賊および海賊行為に関する確固たる統一的な定義はなく,その扱いについては,国際法や海上保険法においてそれぞれ異なっているのが現状である。本稿では,主に国際法や海上保険法における海賊および海賊行為の定義について検討し,海賊類似の危険と線引きが困難な問題や国際法上の定義が海上保険の領域では妥当性を欠くことを考察した。

How do expert storytelling artists captivate audiences with a single performance? In<br/> study 1, we observed the eyeblink responses of expertized 7 of 20 audience members<br/> (10 male and 10 female, aged 16 to 67 years; <i>M </i>=40<i>.</i>6, <i>SD </i>=16<i>.</i>4) at the performance<br/> of two professional story-telling Rakugo artists. With using a surrogate data method,<br/>the statistically significant synchronization of eyeblinks among audience members was<br/> detected when performers changed scenes and characters and immediately after the<br/> performer delivered words essential to the understanding of the story. In study 2, we<br/> conducted a laboratory experiment with 32 (19 male and 13 female) participants aged<br/> 20 to 34 years (<i>M </i>=22<i>.</i>56, <i>SD </i>=2<i>.</i>85) to examine whether the expertise of the story-<br/>teller affected the frequency and intensity of synchronization of eyeblinks by recording<br/> each participant's eyeblinks. The synchronization of eyeblinks was also detected in this<br/> study that each participant viewed videotapes alone, which eliminated potential au-<br/>dience interaction. The participants who were assigned to the watching a videotaped<br/> performance of an expert storyteller displayed frequent synchronized eyeblinks and had<br/> a higher score of transportation into the narrative world of Rakugo compared to those<br/> were assigned to watch a videotaped performance of a novice. These results imply<br/> that expert performers gain a listener's unintentional process of attention as well as<br/> somatic-emotional responses, evidenced by synchronized eyeblinks.

2008年夏、米国の映画界はファン期待の新作The Dark Knightの話題で沸騰した。この作品はグラフィック・ノベル(劇画)を原作とする新バットマン・シリーズの第一作Batman Begins(2005)の続編、監督はイギリスの俊英C. Nolan、キャストはタイトルロールのC. Bale以下、M. Caine、G. Oldman、M. Freemanといった錚々たる名優たちの続投に加え、H. Ledger、A. Eckhart、M. Gyllenhaalなど、個性豊かな演技派が競演する超大作である。多くの批評家がジャンルの枠を超えた「傑作」と絶賛するなか、The Dark Knightは7月中旬に全米公開されるや圧倒的な支持が拡がり、「全米歴代新記録 7冠」という快挙を達成した。すなわち、(1)公開劇場館数(4,366館)、(2)ミッドナイトプレヴュー興収(1,850万ドル)、(3)公開初日興収(6,716万ドル)、(4)公開週末3日間興収(1億5,841万ドル)、(5)興収2億ドル突破最短記録(5日間)、(6)興収3億ドル突破最短記録(10日間)、(7)興収4億ドル突破最短記録(18日間)がそれである。8月末現在、国内総収益(all time grosses)は5億ドルを突破して史上第二位、Titanic(1997)の最高記録6億ドルを追っている。The Dark Knightが「傑作」と評される所以は何か?完成度の高いスクリプトを通して、この叙事詩的な風格さえ漂わす「ブロックバスター」の倫理的なメッセージを読み解きながら、アメリカ的精神の在り処を探る本稿は、先考「"a guy who dresses up like a bat clearly has issues<--映画Batman Beginsの記号論」(2006)の続編でもある。

質感知覚をどのように心理物理学的に研究するかを解説する。質感知覚を生み出す主たる物理的実体は物体表面の光の反射特性である。人間は画像に含まれる統計的な手がかりを利用して、反射特性をおおまかに推定している可能性がある。

In this paper, the paragenesis of minerals in the Hoei mine is presented with some remarks on the mineralogical properties of kutnahorite.The Ichigo (no.1) ore body of the Hoei mine is a massive deposit of Sn, Zn and iron sulfide formed by replacement of the Silurian limestone bed. From this ore body, there have been found various kinds of ore and gangue minerals such as: garnet, clinopyroxene, axinite, tourmaline, vesuvianite, quartz, pyrrhotite, chalcopyrite, arsenopyrite, pyrite, marcasite, sphalerite, galena, native bismuth, herzenbergite, franckeite, jamesonite, cassiterite, stannite, malayaite, fluorite, sericite and carbonate minerals. The species of carbonate minerals are ferromanganoan dolomite, magnesian kutnahorite, kutnahorite, calcian rhodochrosite, ferroan magnesite and manganoan calcite, and they have been crystallized at the later stage of mineralization in this mine.The kutnahorite in this mine is white, yellow or pinkish in color, and platy or leaf-like in external shape, reaching to 5 cm in maximum length. Its specific gravity ranges from 2.98 to 3.18 by picnometer method. Optically negative, and some examples of refractive indices are ω=1.717-1.731, ε=1.524-1.529. Unit cell constants, a0 = 4.861-4.869 Å, c0=16.24-16.37 Å. The range of chemical composition of kutnahorite is fairly wide, as shown in Table 4 and 5.Judging from the mode of occurence, microscopic observations and the compositional changes detected by EPMA, the crystallization sequence of the carbonate minerals is suggested as follows : dolomite-ferromanganoan dolomite-magnesian kutnahorite-kutnahorite-calcian rhodochrosite-manganoan calcite.

This is the second of the essays that study the development of organic rice production areas based on the case of Heilongjiang Wuchang City, which is famous for being the breadbasket of quality rice. In this study, Minle Township, which is the core area of organic rice production in Wuchang City, is chosen for the research. This essay also summarizes the process Minle County underwent to become an organic rice growing area. Furthermore, three production and sales organizations are given as examples, and their organic rice management characteristics are analyzed. The first case is the Fengsu Cooperative, which is an extensive and specialized farmersユ cooperative established in 2006 with 450 household members and a 2,000-hectare production base. The next case is the Farming Science and Technology Association, which is an organization centered on skilled peasant households, established in 2002. This association is transregional and has 100 household members and a 300-hectare production base. The third case is the Meiyu Cooperative, established by villager groups in 2008. With 100 household members and a 200-hectare production base, the Meiyu Cooperative is an organization based on and controlled by an enterprise providing a residence community for their members. In addition, although several peasant households receive orders directly from the enterprise,spontaneously-organized peasant cooperatives are more common, against the backdrop that organic longgrain rice now sells at high prices. All these factors demonstrate the characteristics of Minle County as a production area of premium rice.
