In Japan, in order to get married legally, it is necessary to resister the marriage in the wife's or husband's surname. When changing the surname upon marriage, there are people who have a feeling of resistance from an aspect of inconvenience at work or their identity. Such people do not wish to change their surname, and opt for the dual-surnames.However, they cannot receive legal protection given as a couple or a family when they use dual surnames and choose de-facto marriage. In addition, people's reaction is generally negative towards not giving the registration of a marriage even when they marry.By this research, I clarify that the practitioners of dual-surnames who have faced such legal and social restrictions have hoped for dual surnames in what process, how to over come this, held what conflict by the process, and how to behave in order to ease or to cancel the conflict. As a method, an interview was conducted to 14 people who chose dual surnames. I analyzed their narrative of what conflict arises when adopting dual surnames, and how to practise it by easing or cancelling the trouble.As a result, the following was clarified.--Uneasiness and the conflict are felt easily in being in the situation of not thought to be a married couple and a family by surrounding people though they have usual marriage consciousness.--Married couples behave in order to ease or cancel such uneasiness and conflict.--There are chiefly three points in the behavior; the marriage intention is presented to surrounding people, they do not emphasize having dual surnames, how to introduce oneself is changed according to the place and the situation.

近年,大学の各種活動を評価あるいは公表することへの要請が強まっている. また,種々の教育 改革に着手する大学も増えており,その必要性や成果を確認するうえでも,大学の教育活動を評 価・診断する方法について検討することが求められている. 本論文では,大学ポートレート(仮称)準 備委員会が公表している平成24年度の国公立大学基本情報等を利用し,大学の教育活動の指標と なり得る変数の探索を行った. その結果,学生一人当たりの教員数や貸し出し冊数などが就職率に 正の影響を及ぼすことが示された一方で,大学教育の質を表すと考えられてきた変数の中に負の影 響を及ぼすものも確認された. 大学の教育活動を正確にとらえるためには,データの信頼性を確保 することが重要であろうことが示唆された.

本稿では,Web2.0で提案された集合知の概念を学術分野に拡張し,専門知・学術知を提案する.集合知ではインターネット上で一般市民からの情報を収集することで新しい情報を構築するのに対 し,専門知では異なる学術研究情報を融合し,一般社会に向けて情報を発信する.専門知においては,どのような情報をどのように集約し,提示するかが肝要となる.本研究では収集した科学データを融合して表示するための科学データ融合表示ツールを開発した.

本論文では,e-Learningにおける受講者の取り組みを明確にするために,ノーティングの動作を分析する.まず,ペン先を検出するための手法及びノーティング動作を分類するための手法について述べる.つぎに,ノーティング動作の検出結果から,ノートだけでは抽出できない受講者間の差異を明確化できることを示す.

2007年から2012年の間に、大学に関連して発行されたプレスリリースが掲載された新聞記事を、読売新聞と毎日新聞について調査した。これまでの調査で、大学に関連したプレスリリースが近年大幅に増加していることがわかり、それに対応して、新聞掲載も増加していることがわかっている。本調査では、プレスリリースが読売新聞と毎日新聞に掲載された記事について、その特徴等を考察する。

Picture Archiving and Communication System(PACS)の環境下において、大量のデジタル画像を有効に活用するためには、撮影した患者の画像が正しい場所に保存されることが重要である。しかし、患者のID番号や氏名などの患者情報の誤入力が起これば、撮影した画像は、間違った患者の電子フォルダに保存されることになる。我々は、このようなファイリングミスを防ぐことを目的として、胸部X線写真を対象としたテンプレートマッチングによる患者の自動認識の手法を開発している。本研究では、テンプレートマッチングによる患者の自動認識の手法の精度を向上させるために、ソーベルフィルタによるエッジ強調画像を用いた手法について述べる。

In order to reduce deformation of ballasted tracks during large earthquakes, a new method to reinforce ballasted tracks with stacked geosynthetic bags that are filled with ballast was proposed. In this study, some performance tests of geosynthetic bags method are conducted. In triaxial test, geosynthetic bags filled with ballast revealed higher strength than ballast with no bag. In cut strength test, bags made of polyethylene and polyarylate that is one of high strength fibers revealed good performance. In ultraviolet ray resistance test, geosynthetic bags revealed less than 60% loss of pull strength at 5000h irradiation of super xenon weather meter. In construction test on commercial lines, it is confirmed that the new method has good workability.

広島県神石郡油木町宗兼に分布する備北層群神石累層下部(中期中新世初頭)より産したオキナワアナジャコThalassinia anomala(Herbst)を記載した。T. anomalaは現生種で, インド-西太平洋の熱帯地域のマングローブ沼生活者であり, その産出を中新世まで遡らせた。この種の産出は, 中期中新世初頭の西南日本の熱帯的古環境を支持する。
