This paper proposes a method to construct a three-dimensional (3D) model of an outdoor scene containing a large amount of information by combining local stereo images which are acquired from multiway. It is difficult to reconstruct outdoor scenes accurately using a single view of a stereo camera because the distance to a target is very far compared with the stereo camera's baseline length. Therefore the proposed method makes the 3D model accurately by reducing the uncertainties of a 3D point from various angles to the region which includes the correct point. Multi-view stereo images are captured using a rotational stereo camera that swings back and forth and can capture not only the upper surface of an object but also the side surface of the object. As an experiment, a blimp robot with a rotational stereo camera is used to capture aerial stereo images of the ground. The proposed method achieves the dense and accurate reconstruction of the outdoor 3D model.

We construct a speaker authentication system, where 3-layerd neural networks with ensemble learning algorithm are used, and investigate the effect of ensemble learning on the performance of the system. From the results, we found that the authentication rates of the system for a person became to 100% by using ensemble learning. Therefore, the new ensemble leaning used in this study is thought to be useful for the speaker authentication system with layered neural networks. In addition, a new multi-step authentication system for many persons by extending the system for a person was suggested. In the system, the ensemble learning was also useful for the speaker authentication system of neural networks for many persons.

This article analyzes the situation of coffee production in present-day Timor-Leste, in which productivity-oriented recommendations for coffee plantation management and site-specific cultural logic coexist. In effect, this situation can be connected to the problem of the lack of agency in local farmers' reactions to market penetration. A site-specific cultural dimension seems to illustrate agency on the rural farmers' side. However, the agency located only within local mediation is insufficient because the very function of mediating markets must be achieved primarily unintentionally under the logic of market penetration. In my opinion, this clearly suggests that local cultural values and economic rationality are interdependently constituted as guiding principles of composition elements of the situation set by the categorization of local institutional mediation of market penetration. It is therefore critically important to recognize that the categorization of social action such as "local mediation" at the base of a discursive space for political maneuvers constitutes the gap between "local" institutions and generalizable economic activities, and not the other way round. Thus understood, a comparative perspective on the commoditization process may direct our attention to the potential plurality in accomplishing the interdependent constitution of universal market and local institutions, suggesting that market penetration and local institutions should be treated as essentially interlaced social phenomena.

理工系分野の早期教育の真の在り方を探るために、かつてわが国において実施された「飛び級」制度(小学校五年から中学校に進学する「五修」と中学校四年から高等学校に進学する「四修」を導入することによって、普通課程と比較して二年早く教育課程を終了するもの)、及び終戦前後(昭和20年1月〜昭和23年3月)に実施された「特別科学教育」制度(小学校四年から六年、中学校一年から三年までの六学級から理数系の学力に特に秀でた児童・生徒を選抜して英才教育を施したもの。東京高等師範学校、東京女子高等師範学校、広島高等師範学校、金沢高等師範学校、京都帝国大学が中心となって教育に当たった。学級数は実施機関によって異なった。)を取り上げた。これらの教育制度の経験者からの情報収集及び追跡調査から教育の実態を明らかにし、その得失を十分に検討することによって、わが国の理数系早期教育の発展に資することを目的とした。具体的活動としては、経験者から経験談及び資料提供を受けるために11回の研究集会を開催し、さらに面接聴き取り調査を行った。また、中国における早期教育のための教員養成についての講演会を開催した。アンケート調査も計画したが、個人情報に深く関わる内容であるために質問項目について慎重に吟味して実施へと繋げることができた。主要な研究成果の概要は以下の通りである。(1)飛び級については、その経験者の協力を得て、京都府師範学校附属小学校第二教室の教育の実態が明らかになった。また、兵庫県立神戸第一中学校の四修修了者の特徴について統計的な検討を行った。(2)京都府立第一中学校において実施された特別科学教育(京都帝国大学が協力)の経験者諸氏の協力が得られ、従来余り知られていなかった事実が明らかにされた。(3)理数分野の早期教育の実をあげるためには、理数分野と人文社会分野の教育のバランスが必要不可欠であることが明らかになった。理数系分野だけに特化して効率を図ることは、優れた人材養成に繋がらない。(4)早期教育のための教員養成、上級学校との接続の確保、中途からの転向の保障など、制度面での支援が重要であることが明らかになった。

Urinary metabolites from rabbits dosed with phylloquinone and dl-α-tocopheryl acetate were examined. We found that phylloquinone was excreted as conjugate forms of 2-methyl-3-(5'-carboxy-3'-methyl-2'-pentenyl)-1,4-naphthoquinone and 2-methyl-3-(3'-carboxybutyl)-1,4-naphthoquinone, and dl-α-tocopheryl acetate was excreted mainly as the conjugate form of 2,3,5-trimethyl-6-(5'-carboxy-3'-hydroxy-3'-methylpentyl)-1,4-benzoquinone lactone and in small amounts, as the conjugate form of 2,3,5-trimethyl-6-(3'-carboxybutyl)-1,4-benzoquinone.

比帯域幅の広い広帯域信号に対応したビームスペース形構成のアダプティブアレーアンテナを提案する. マルチビームフォーマ部は, それを構成する各ディジタルビームフォーミング回路にタップ付遅延線回路を用いて, 広帯域信号を通過できるように構成した. タップ付遅延線回路の荷重係数は, 各ディジタルビームフォーミング回路の位相特性が同一となり, かつ指向特性が周波数にほとんど依存しないように決める. マルチビームフォーマに続くビームセレクタでビームを選択し, それらのビームの線形結合により干渉信号を抑圧する. これらの線形結合係数は適当な適応アルゴリズムで制御する. 提案する構成は, タップ付遅延線回路を用いたエレメントスペース構成のアダプティブアレーに比べて, 制御すべき荷重の数は著しく少ない特徴をもつ. 適応アルゴリズムにCMA(Constant Modulus Algorithm)を用いた計算機シミュレーションにより, エレメントスペース構成に比べて収束が早く, 干渉波抑圧能力も遜色ないことを示す.

Feeding behaviour in the natural situation and dental morphology of 13 Tanganyika species belonging to 6 genera of algae scraping cichlids were studied to understand the degree of specialization for algae feeding in relation to size. Three parameters, speed of grazing (SG), successive repeated times (SRT) and time interval of browsing (TIB), were measured to analyze the behaviour. The fist two parameters were applied to 6 species of Petrochromis, grazers and the third one to 7 other browsing species. Among grazers, Petrochromis polyodon is regarded as the most adapted and P. fasciolatus as the least adapted to grazing diatoms off the filamentous algae. Among browsers, Telmatochromis temporalis has distinctive behavioural and morphological features, showing the lowest degree of adaptation. The other 6 browsing species share similar features. Limnotilapia dardennei and Simochromis diagramma show a lower degree of adaptation. Tropheus moorei can be regarded as the best adapted to browsing filamentous algae by shearing. S. babaulti and S. marginatus are situated between each of them. Pseudosimochromis curvifrons seems to diverge into browsing by cutting, not shearing. TIB can be regarded as a handling time. The validity of the "jacks-of-all-trades" hypothesis is discussed.

ヒト膀胱がんのがん抑制染色体の同定を目的としてpSV2neo遺伝子で標識した正常ヒト線維芽細胞由来の7,9,11,12番染色体を微小核融合法によりヒト膀胱がん細胞株H-15細胞に移入した。11番染色体移入クロ-ンでは,5回の移入実験によって得られた20クロ-ンにおいては,細胞形態の顕著は変化(Flat)が認められ,そのうち15クロ-ンは早期の段階で老死化した。残る5クロ-ンは,Flatな細胞と親細胞と同様な形態を示す細胞とが混在していた。また,7,9,12番染色体導入クロ-ンの細胞形態は親細胞と同様の形態と増殖速度を示し,クロ-ニング後も老死化することはなかった。現在までに,細胞老死化にかかわる遺伝子はヒト1番および4番染色体に存在することを示す報告がなされているが,上述の結果は,細胞老化にかかわる遺伝子がヒト11番染色体上にも存在することを示す。放射線照射により断片化したヒト3番染色体をヒト腎細胞がん細胞株RCC23に導入した。その結果,D3S22〜H3S30領域(3p25)およびD3F15S2〜D3S30領域(3p21)を含む染色体を導入した場合において,細胞形態の変化ならびに細胞増殖速度の低下が認められ,これらの領域にRCC23細胞の腫瘍形質抑制にかかわる遺伝子(群)の存在が示された。この領域は,ヒト腎細胞がんにみられる特異的染色体欠失領域であった。Kirsten肉腫ウイルス形質転換NIH3T3(DT)細胞の増殖抑制にかかわる遺伝子は1qcenー1q25に存在することが示されているが,RTーAluーPCR法により,この領域に存在し,発現されているDNA断片を2クロ-ン得た。このクロ-ンをプロ-ブとして,コスミッドクロ-ンのスクリ-ニングを行う予定である。

無線LANや音声・画像処理等, 規格が次々に生まれ, 高い処理性能が要求される分野において動的再構成可能プロセッサが注目を集めている.我々は同プロセッサとして, 性能面積比の向上を狙ったFE-GAの研究開発を進めている.本論文では, Fast Fourier Transform (FFT)のFE-GA向けアルゴリズムの考案, FE-GAへのマッピング, 主演算器利用率と呼ぶ性能評価指標の提案, 及び性能評価を行った.その結果, 2048点FFTに対して乗算器に対する主演算器利用率は96%となり, 本アーキテクチャはFFTに対して性能面積比が高いことがわかった.

,1.連続地層試料の採取:野外地質調査岩手県北部に露出するペルム紀・三畳紀の連続地層をエンジンカッターで切断し、分析試料の連続採取を行った。2.コノドント化石処理採取した試料よりコノドント化石を見出した。化石年代は現在検討中である。3.岩石試料の切り分け、研磨面・薄片の作成採取した岩石試料を研磨用と粉砕用に切り分け、一方を研磨した。研磨面の観察の結果、黒色粘土岩中にラミナ構造、生物擾乱の構造を確認することができ、当時の堆積環境を知るデータを得た。4.岩石研磨面の元素組成マッピング:XGT分析連続性が確認できた岩石研磨試料をXGT分析装置でスキャンし、各元素の存在度を観察した。結果、モリブデンの濃集層を複数箇所で確認し、その側方連続性を確認することができた。5.岩石試料の粉砕・粉末化処理遊星ミル粉砕装置を実験室に導入し、微量元素成分の汚染の少ないメノー製の粉砕装置を使って岩石試料を粉末化する準備を行った。6.モリブデン同位体比の測定アリゾナ州立大学の協力を得て、検出されたモリブデンとウランの安定同位体比について予察的な分析値を得た。分析値は大量絶滅時の還元的海洋水の大規模な発達を指示する。

This paper argues The Wings of the Dove is a text that conceals homoerotic desire: Milly Theale's romance includes her love for Kate Croy and Kate, who calls Milly a dove, needs Milly's love. It discusses the same expressions used by different characters, the meanings of romance, the replaceability of points of view, and Milly's illness.First, we argue Milly's romance represents her desire for Kate. The replaceability of characters is implied when the same words or phrases are applied to or used by two characters. In the novel Milly is set up as a princess of a romance. Milly always regards Kate as handsome and Merton Densher's gaze that desires Kate is shared with Milly. Milly's gaze parallels Merton's, so the prince of her romance can be Kate. Next, we discuss Kate's love for Milly. Descriptions about Milly's illness overlap with the discourse about homo-sexuality in the late nineteenth century. Accordingly, Milly's illness becomes a metonymy of Milly herself and may represent her identity. Endorsed by Eve Sedgwick's view that Milly's relation to her illness is "an echo precisely of Lionel Croy's homosexual disgrace," we argue that the relation between Kate and Milly has a homoerotic connotation. We conclude that the text involves an indication of Kate's love for Milly in their mutual gazing.The Bostonians is also a story about a triangular relationship among the two female characters, Olive and Verena, and the key male character, Basil. However, it does not depict love between the two females as reciprocal. We finally point out that The Wings of the Dove contains a plot in which love between the two female characters is, in a sense, reciprocal.『鳩の翼』はホモエロティシズムを潜伏させているテキストである。本論は、ミリー・シールを巡るロマンスがミリーのケイト・クロイへの思いを内包し、ミリーを「鳩」と呼ぶケイトはミリーの愛を必要としていることを、複数の登場人物に用いられる同じ表現や、ロマンスの持つ意味、交換可能な視点、ミリーの病などに注目して論じるものである。同じ語、同じ表現を複数の登場人物に当てはめることにより、ある登場人物と他の登場人物との置換可能性が暗示される。作品はミリーをロマンスの王女に仕上げる方向に向かうプロットを持つ。ミリーの視点はケイトを「ハンサム」とみなし、ケイトを欲望するマートン・デンシャーの視点と重なる。以上を踏まえ、ミリーのロマンスはケイトを対象とし、ケイトに対する欲望で成り立つと論じられる。ミリーの病気の描き方は同性愛を巡る19世紀末の言説と重なり、ミリーの病気はミリーという人物の換喩となり、ミリーのアイデンティティを表すことになる。病気とミリーの関わりは「ライオネル・クロイのホモセクシュアルな恥を正確に反映する」というイヴ・セジウィックの説を援用し、ケイトとミリーの関係における同性愛的なニュアンスを考察する。その上で、視線を媒介とする二人の関係が相互の関係であることを指摘し、ケイトのミリーへの愛を論じている。『ボストニアンズ』もオリーヴとヴェリーナという二人の女性登場人物と中心となる男性登場人物バジルの間の三角関係の物語であった。しかし二人の女性の間の愛情が双方向のものとしては描かれなかった。それに対し、『鳩の翼』には、二人の女性の間の愛情が、ある意味で双方向になるプロットが潜んでいることを最後に指摘する。

日本企業の取締役会の構成とパフォーマンスの関係を、とりわけ「外部取締役」に焦点を合わせて検討した。第1論文(Who Appoints Them, What Do They Do?)では、1985-90年の「バブル経済」の期間と、1990-95年の混乱と停滞の時期に焦点を合わせて、約1千社の東証第一部上場企業の個別データを用いて検討した。第2論文(Does Relation Banking Matteτ?)と第3論文(Conflicts of Interest in Japanese Insolvencies)は、銀行を代表とする融資金融機関との関係に焦点を合わせて、コーポレートガバナンスおよび融資先が困難に陥った場合の銀行の役割について検討した。いずれも、日本企業に関する確立した「通念」が根拠のない主張であり、外部取締役を増やすべきだとするものや「メインバンク」などとの緊密な関係の再構築の重要性を強調するものなどという「通念」に基づく最近の日だった政策論議が誤っていることを示す結果を得た。日本では、融資先企業が困難に陥ると、「メインバンク」などの融資金融機関が救済に乗り出し、再建に努力するとの「通念」がある。しかし、そのようなケースがあるとしても稀であり、もちろん一般的に成立しない、その意味で、日本の銀行-企業間関係が世界的にみて特殊だと言うことも確認した。同様の論点は世界中の各国で盛んに議論されているから、間もなく公表される論文には大きな注目が集まるはずである。Discussion papersの段階でも、いずれも注目度が高く、多くの研究者・実務家からも好意的な評価を得ていた。
