本研究は、グローバル化、とりわけ自由貿易がどのような国内政治的反応を生み出しているのかを、計量分析と事例分析による過程追跡の手法を結合することで実証的かつ総合的に解明することを目指した。そこでは、自由貿易協定の締結で日本に先行する韓国との比較及び日本国内における中央と地方でのTPPをめぐる政治過程の比較を事例分析的に検証する一方、そこでの知見をサーベイ調査と国会議員候補者調査を利用して自由貿易がもたらす「雇用不安」と「消費者利益」そして、自由貿易協定をめぐって論じられる外交戦略、とりわけ「安全保障」という要因が、貿易をめぐる政治過程に影響を与えることを実証し、そのメカニズムを解明した。

The purpose of this study is to understand the structure of streetscape improvement by Business Improve Districts (BIDs) in New York City. Three BIDs in New York City, including Grand Central Partnership, Alliance for Downtown New York, and Times Square Alliance, were selected as case studies. A series of interviews to the BID officials as well as field surveys was conducted in the year 2000 and 2005. The major findings are the following. a) Steetscape improvements by three BIDs are planned and implemented to promote districts' interests through community-involved project processes, b) whlie the BIDs'streetscape improvement businesses are under the supervision of the city agencies, they are cooperating by sharing information, c) the BIDs can maintain high quality of streetscape design by flexibly appointing best-suited designers, d) budgetary condition of the BIDs is stable but not plentiful enough to proceed many streetscape improvement projects at once, and e) the effects of the streetscape improvement projects by the BIDs are evaluated mostly through indirect indexes.

本研究「小空間の認知特性」では、「小空間」をキーワードとして派生する次の主な3テーマ、1)子どもの嗜好する小空間としての住環境、2)空間容積の単位としての小空間「包pao」の検証、3)宇宙建築という限定された小空間、を軸として、これまでの研究活動を次のように実施した。1)「子どもの住環境」の研究については、a)実験とb)調査をおこなった。a)実験では、実際の親子による実験研究をおこない、b)調査では、乳幼児の住居への訪問調査をおこない、昨年度までの報告書に記載の通り、審査論文として研究成果を公表した。2)「空間容積の単位<包pao>」の研究については、文献・実測調査を継続した。これまで、都心の住居における実測などをおこなった。3)「宇宙建築」の研究については、RPD採用時の計画段階では、文献調査のみとしていたにもかかわらず、更に進展させた。具体的には、文献のほか、研究会を開催し、実験研究をおこない、その成果を本報告書に後述の通り、論文として公表した。更に、JAXA公募に選定され、微小重力下の限られた小空間である国際宇宙ステーションISSにおいて、空間の容積感・印象評価・ボール投げを通じたコミュニケーションについて、宇宙飛行士により10月に実施された。国際宇宙ステーションの都合により実施が遅れ、実施後データを受け取ることができたのはNASAやJAXAのデータ検閲を受けた後の12月であった。1月にはNASAへ速報を含む実施報告をおこなった。その後、現在もこの実施成果を審査論文としてまとめている最中である。また、今後のアウトリーチ活動への準備も進めつつある。以上の通り、「小空間」に関する研究活動を多角的におこない、最終的には、住環境の質の向上に資するための研究を着実に実施している。

Robenacoxib is a newer nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug approved for dogs and cats. This study was designed to evaluate the effect of robenacoxib on the minimum alveolar concentration for blunting adrenergic response (MAC-BAR) of sevoflurane in dogs. Sevoflurane MAC-BAR was determined by judging dogs’ response to a noxious electrical stimulus (50 V, 50 Hz and 10 msec) for 10 sec in 6 beagle dogs on two occasions at least a 7-day interval. In each occasion, saline (0.1 ml/kg) or robenacoxib (2 mg/kg) was administered subcutaneously at 1 hr prior to the MAC-BAR determination. Robenacoxib significantly decreased the sevoflurane MAC-BAR (3.44 ± 0.53% for saline vs. 2.84 ± 0.38% for robenacoxib, P=0.039). These results suggest that subcutaneous robenacoxib provides a clinically relevant sparing effect on anesthetic requirement.

都内某特別養護老人ホームに入居中の要介護高齢者73名を対象とし,「全身状態」「生活環境」「介護状況」の聞き取り調査と,「口腔内診査」「RSST]および「フードテスト」による摂食・嚥下機能評価を行った。それらのうち,上下対合歯による安定した顎位の保持が摂食・嚥下機能に及ぼす影響を明らかにする目的で,「安定した顎位」とRSSTおよびフードテストの結果との関連について検討した結果,以下の知見を得た。1.RSSTの30秒以内の嚥下回数が3回未満の者は,57名中17名(29.8%)であり,安定した顎位との関連では,安定した顎位のとれる者ではとれない者と比較して,1%の危険率で30秒以内の嚥下回数が3回未満の者が有意に少なかった。2.RSSTの初回嚥下までの時間が5秒以上かかった者は,57名中16名(28.1%)であり,安定した顎位との関連では,安定した顎位がとれる者ではとれない者と比較して,初回嚥下までの時間が5秒以上の者がやや少なかったものの,統計学的に有意な差は認められなかった。3.フードテストの口腔内残留がみられた者は,69名中40名(58.0%)であり,安定した顎位との関連では,安定した顎位がとれる者ではとれない者と比較して,1%の危険率で有意に口腔内残留が少なかった。

平成19年度は,平成18年度に作成した携帯電話のメール機能を利用したメーリングリストのシステムを利用し,学生の協力を得て更なる試験を実施した.学生の反応は即時応答性が高いことが実証され,またテュートリアル形式の授業の評価コメントを送ったり,授業の宿題など重要なお知らせを通知したりといった使用法については,学生へのアンケートの結果,学生にとっては有用性が高いことが判明した.携帯電話のメール機能を学生への連絡や呼び出しに使うという方法について,学生側の通信費の負担感について調査を行った結果,データ(パケット)量の多いWeb形式よりはメールの方が負担感は少ないものの,ある程度考慮して欲しいという意見が大勢であった.ただし,自分にとって有用な情報は紙の掲示だけでなく携帯メールにも送って欲しいという意見も多く,通信費の問題はあるものの,一方で学生の欲しがる情報を与えていれば,他方で教育目的の活用も受け入れられるであろうという示唆を得た.本学では学生個人のノートパソコンを必携化しているため,通信費の負担が理由で携帯電話のメール機能を利用したくない学生は,本学より付与されるパソコンの電子メールアドレスを利用すればよく,メール機能を教育目的に利用する基盤は整っていると考えられた.平成19年度は更に,簡易なMCQなどの小テストをメールとして発信し,その返信を自動収集・集計する機能を新たに追加して,学生に対してその使い勝手や有用性について検証を行った.検証の結果,Questionメールに対するAnswerメールの対応付けに大きな問題があることが判明した.例えば,複数の教員から同学年の学生に同時期にQuestionメールが発信された場合に,学生がそれぞれに回答した時,どのメールがどのQuestionに対応しているかの判断をどのように解決するか,という問題である.この問題に対し,本文の先頭にQuestionを一意にする番号(制御コード)を付加し,返信時にもそれをそのまま付けた形で返す方式を採用したが,学生側がこれをよく理解していないため,この制御コードを返信時に削除してしまう事態が多発してしまった.他の方式も検討したが,いずれも学生に周知しておかなければならない何らかのルールを設定する必要があり,メールのみでは最良の解決策は考えられなかった.したがって,小テストについてはメール内にWebページへのリンクを掲載し,Web側で回答させるのがよりよい解決方法ではないかという結論に至った.

Copper(I)–dioxygen reactivity studies utilizing new binucleating ligands are described. When catalytic quantities of either CuI or CuII salts were introduced to LH2, which is a dinucleating ligand with two tridentate donors connected via a methylene group at a bis(2-pyridyl)methane junction, dioxygen addition caused complete oxygenation to give bis(2-pyridyl)ketone product L=O. Isolated dicopper(I) complex [CuI2(LH2)]2+ (1) also reacted with excess O2 to give L=O. Additional observations were consistent with a mechanism that does not involve “oxygen-activation” in this process. Ketone hydration and gem-diol(ate) copper(II)-coordination occurred by addition of copper(II)–perchlorate to L=O, giving [CuII2{L(OH)(O−)}Cu2II(−OClO3)]2+ (4), with a bridging alkoxide moiety (X-ray). Oxygenation of [CuI2(L=O)(CH3CN)2]2+ (2) (2/O2 = 0.5, i.e., Cu/O2 = 4:1 manometry), gave [CuII2{L(O−)2}(−OClO3)]+ (5), where both oxygen atoms of the doubly deprotonated gem-diolate bind separate copper(II) ions; mass spectrometric data showed that one of the two oxygen atoms of the gem-diolate L(O−)2 came from O2. An oxo–dicopper(II) species is suggested as an important intermediate, which is supported by the observation that reaction of 2 with NO or iodosylbenzene also produced 5 in high yields. Complexes 4 and 5 are acid–base conjugate pairs and can be readily interconverted using Et3N or HClO4(aq) reagents.

This paper deals with the number of times of molting and the mean carapace length in instars estimated from the frequency distribution of carapace length of the edible horse crab Erimacrus isenbeckii collected in the coastal sea area of Eastern-Hokkaido, and with the experimental data of increase at molting. From size frequencies of female and male of 1091 individuals, under 50 millimeters, nine groups are recognized. The mean carapace length for each group being 5.2, 7.0, 8.7, 12.5, 15.6, 20.4, 27.4, 33.5 and 46.4mm. From 5572 male individuals, ranging from 50 to 124mm, five groups are recognized. The mean carapace length for each group being 59.1, 73.3, 88.2, 103.5 and 117.5mm. From 3884 female individuals, range 50-88mm, four groups are recognized. The mean carapace length for each group being 55.9, 65.8, 74.1 and 84.0mm. Applying these mean sizes to Hiatt's graphic method in which the post-exuvial lengths (Ln+1) were plotted against the initial lengths (Ln), the following formulas are obtained: male and female under 50 millimeters, Ln+1=1.336Ln-0.40; mature female, Ln+1=0.998 Ln+9.49; mature male, Ln+1=1.036Ln+11.68. Growth of the carapace length in instars fits the growth equation as follows: male, lt=177/(1+e3.765-0.269t-0.0035t2); female, lt=125/(1+e3.451-0.293t-0.0017t2).

The architectural reference book "Gusikenki" is considered as the first encyclopedia for the architecture in Edo era. We examined the contents and bibliography of this book, and clarified the fact that the editor, Masataka Imaoku, then the Nakai's "Touryou" carpenter, wrote and compiled "Gusikenki" in the following four stages. 1st stage ; 1671 : Began the writings concerning the knowledges related to the nearby architecture as a Horyuuji carpenter. 2nd stage ; 1677 : Performed the writings about the architecture in the area controlled by the Nakai Family and about the buildings of temples and shrines. 3rd stage ; 1680/1684 : Wrote articles on the Kyoto Imperial Palace and accounts on matters such as divinity, mathimatics, weight and measures, and completed the whole volumes. 4th stage ; 1685/1686 : Added few items related mainly to time measurement.

The chemical composition and bacterial community structure of konoshiro-narezushi were analyzed, the latter by the 16S ribosomal RNA gene clone library method. The respective moisture and the lactic acid concentrations were 62.4% and 1.8%. One hundred randomly selected clones from the clone library were sequenced and analyzed. There were six operational taxonomic units, and the Shannon-Wiener index was1.037. The sequence similarity of all the clones obtained was equal to or higher than 99.6% of the sequence of cultivated bacteria in the public database. Lactobacillus sakei constituted 61% of the clones, suggesting that this bacterium plays an important role in the fermentation of konoshiro-narezushi.

1.ニジマス四倍体雌とイワナ、カワマス、ブラウントラウトおよびヤマメ雄との交配により異質三倍体を作出できた。2.異質三倍体の染色体数、相対DNA量は両親から推定される期待値と近似していた。また、両親の遺伝子が導入されていることが確認された。3.異質三倍体雄は二次性徴を示し、成熟に伴う生残率低下、成長停滞を示した。4.ニジニジブラの成長・生残は全雌ニジマス三倍体と同等以上であった。5.異質三倍体の外観は必ずしも両親の中間的形質を示さなかったが、ニジニジブラは全雌化により実用可能と考えられた。6.交配で作出されたニジニジブラはIHNVに対してニジマスより抗病性が増した。7.全雌ニジニジブラは新しい養殖品種として期待される。
