本研究の目的は、ナノ構造の原子スケール制御に対し、十分な研究実績をもつ班員の実績を活かして、「ナノ構造の表面・界面の制御と単電子トンネル障壁の最適化」の研究を担当し、室温動作の単電子デバイスや、新しい機能もつ単電子デバイスを、単体ないし小規模集積レベルで実現する要素デバイス技術およびプロセス技術を確立することにある。主要な成果として、まず、化合物半導体の2次元電子ガスに対する新しいインプレーンゲート、ラップゲート構造による単電子トランジスタについて、従来のスプリットゲート素子に比較して、動作温度の大幅な向上、動作機構の理解、1以上の電圧利得の達成、論理インバータ回路・BDDスイッチ回路などの小規模集積回路の試作と実証など、世界に先駆け大きな進歩がもたらされた。また、シリコン系については、プラズマプロセスで形成したシリコンドットにおける室温のクーロン階段の観測や、単電子トランジスタの動作確認、縦形トランジスタでの量子化コンダクタンスの観測、ホッピング伝導系でのクローンブロケッド現象の発見、非対称トンネル障壁構造を用いてデバイス特性を最適化する研究が推進された。さらに、シリコン系および化合物半導体系量子ドット構造を、表面・界面の原子配列と電子物性を評価・制御しつつ形成する手法について、大きな進展が認められた。また、「トンネル障壁」におけるトンネル時間やドット内の波束の運動の検討など、単電子過程を解明する基礎研究も進展した。

In this paper, We examined the impulsive force characteristics of the heavy impact source stipulated by JIS A 1418, and measured the impulsive force characteristics of the jumping down of the adults and children. It is said that the impulsive force of the heavy impact source stipulated by JIS A 1418 is too large for the measurement of the wooden floor construction. When the falling height of the heavy impact source becomes lower, the impulsive force decreases and the impact time increases gradually. As the results of the theoretical and the experimental examination, it can be said that the falling height of the heavy impact source should be kept more than about 20 cm, for getting the linearity of the impulsive force characterisics to JIS A 1418. In the field measurement, the relation between the impulsive force for the various falling height of the heavy impact source and the vibration velocity of the several kind of floor construction was studied.

膜中でのコレステロールの動態は、動脈硬化をはじめとする疾病との関連から重要である。本研究では、脂質膜中の疎水的モデル分子の溶媒和と、膜と水相の界面近傍の水和のダイナミクスに注目し、観測対象とする現象の研究に適った膜のモデル実験系の確立したうえで、溶液NMRと分子動力学シミュレーションにより、コレステロールが膜のダイナミクスにおよぼす効果を明らかにした。

The green tuff from Hinai town, Akita is popular for architectural materials because of its beautiful pale green color and thermal and moisture retaining properties. When this stone is quarried and grinded for making products, approximately 60% of all quarried stone becomes the waste stone and it is required to be utilized effectively. Hinai-Green tuff is a porous media and it has abilities to neutralize acids and elute some minerals. These abilities may be effective for growth of microbes and our research group carries out the development of effective utilizations of Hinai-Green tuff as microbial activator. In this paper, the effects of Hinai-Green tuff on pH adjustment and microbial activities are described.Hinai-Green tuff had an ability to neutralize both acid and alkaline water and especially neutralized acids effectivelly. For example, acid water of initial pH3 was neutralized to pH7 by adding 10(w/v)% Hinai-Green tuff into the acid water. Therefore, Hinai-Green tuff can neutralize acid soil and water and adjust acid environments to adaptable environments for microbes. Moreover, Hinai-Green tuff could buffer decrease in pH. The pH of water containing Hinai-Green tuff did not decrease rapidly with adding drops of 0.1M HCl, and especially the buffer action was strongly observed at pH 7 to 8. Hinai-Green tuff is very helpful to maintain pH appropriate for microbes for long time against decrease in pH caused by acid rain and/or acid metabolites of microbes. And pH adjustment effects of Hinai-Green tuff were caused by the ion exchange between Ca2+ leached from the stone and H+.Consequently, microbes grew actively in a medium containing Hinai-Green tuff because of its pH adjustment effects. However, microbes did not grow in a medium containing natural zeolite from Futatsui town, Akita. The effects of Futatsui-Zeolite on pH adjustment for acid were low compared with Hinai-Green tuff.

文字ごとに枠のないフリーピッチで記入された文字列を読み取る場合,複数の文字切り出し候補を抽出し,その各々について文字認識を行ない,最終的に後処理として文字列データベースとの照合を行なうことで最適な文字列を選択する方法がある.この場合,文字切り出し候補の図形的特徴,文字認識結果が文字列を選択する基準となり,これらが文字認識全体の性能に影響を及ぼす.本稿では,文字切り出し候補の図形的特徴を総括的に判定することによって,切り出し控訴の文字列中での文字としての確からしさ(切り出し確度と呼ぶ)を求める方式について報告する.

本研究では、戦前の取引所関係法令の下で重視されていた資本市場の機能について研究し、これを前提に、取引所法が規制した風説の流布・偽計取引、会社法上論じられていたインサイダー取引について研究した。また、戦前の業者規制に係る法令のほか、取引所が株式会社形態をとることの是非、さらにこれらとの関係で取引所法の下での「総合的な取引所」規制を研究し、いずれの研究についても一定の知見を得ることができた。

Recently, we showed that a methanol extract of Ganoderma lucidum inhibits scratching, an itch-related response, induced by intradermal injections of some pruritogens in mice. The present study investigated whether G. lucidum extract would inhibit allergic itch. In mice sensitized with an extract of salivary gland of mosquito (ESGM), an intradermal injection of ESGM elicited scratching, which was suppressed by oral administration of G. lucidum extract (100 and 300 mg/kg). The scratching was inhibited by the H1 histamine–receptor antagonist azelastine, but not by the peripherally acting H1-antagonist terfenadine, at the oral dose of 30 mg/kg. In sensitized mice, ESGM increased the activity of cutaneous nerve, which was suppressed by G. lucidum extract (300 mg/kg). Although terfenadine (30 mg/kg) inhibited plasma extravasation induced by ESGM in the sensitized mice, G. lucidum extract (300 mg/kg) was without effect. These results suggest that G. lucidum extract relieves allergic itch through a peripheral action. The results support the idea that mast cells and H1 histamine receptors are not the primary sites of the antipruritic action of G. lucidum extract.

The relation between the styles of briefs and the physical condition, especially the extent of menorrhalgia or menstrual pain was investigated through a questionnaire from 655 girl students of Gunma University. 1) Although the extent of menstrual pain mainly depend on their constitutional tendencies or the period after the beginning of the menstrual function, the extent of the pain also depends on the styles of wearing briefs ; the girl students wearing usually bikini briefs felt stronger and more frequent pain during menses than the students wearing standard briefs. 2 ) The effects of the six major factors (period after menarche, amount of menstrual flow, interval of menses, history of the family on menorrhalgia, shape of briefs, and life style) on menorrhalgia were compared by the method of multivariate statistical analysis, The shape of briefs affected least of these factors on the frequency of the menorrhalgia, but it significantly affected (forth of six factors) on the extent of the pain.

Program evaluation provides direction for future scientific programs and new innovations in existing programs. Scientific program evaluation at four levels such as (1) evaluating reaction, satisfaction (2)evaluation learning (3)evaluating behavior (4)evaluating results was proposed. Then, authors concluded as following. Program evaluation provides direction for future programs and new innovations in existing programs. An aim is to provide findings about a program which can be generalized to other contexts and periods of time. Achieving a degree of generalizablity requires scientific research design and methodologically sound instrumentation. In nursing, program evaluation should bridge the gap between nursing education and nursing services. Effective teachers and nurses in hospitals and communities work together cooperatively to encourage learning, behaviors, and results -- with new strands of opinion -- that meet health needs and solve people's health problems. Having valid data about nurses' competence, their performance, and the effect of these on the nursing services is essential for sound health development. Scientific program evaluation contributes greatly to making sound decisions about programs and their contribution. Program evaluation involves rethinking everything from the program's learning model and curriculum, to the production of professional nurses and their proper performance in the health services for health development.これからの科学的プログラム評価の方向および現在あるプログラムの刷新について述べた。科学的プログラム評価の4つのレベルとして-(1)反応、満足の評価、(2)学習の評価、(3)行動の評価、(4)結果の評価を提示した。その上で、著者らは次のような結論に達した。看護のプログラム評価は看護教育と看護サービスの溝に橋を架けるものである。看護師のコンピテンシー、パフォーマンス、そして健康サービスの有効性へのそれらの影響に関する有用なデータを所持することは高度に機能する健康システムの基本である。プログラム評価の研究は個人の目標や費用によって位置付けに高低があるかもしれない。有能な教員と病院・地域の看護職者が、新しい意見をもち、人々の健康上のニーズに出会い、健康問題を解決する学習、行動、結果を促進するために協力し合って共に働くことである。科学的プログラム評価は、プログラムについての健全な意思決定および地域的、国家的、国際的に高度に機能するヘルスシステムへのプログラム創出に大きく貢献するものである。
