現在日本では異なる抗原由来の2種類のB型肝炎ワクチンが市販されている.通常1回のシリーズ(6か月間に3回接種)では同じ製品が使用されるが,1シリーズ中に異なる抗原由来のB型肝炎ワクチンを接種した場合の抗体獲得について検討された報告は少ない.今回,1シリーズ中に異なる抗原由来のB型肝炎ワクチンを接種した場合の抗体獲得について検討した.過去にB型肝炎ワクチン未接種であり,HBs抗体陰性が確認された被験者で,3回目を異なる抗原由来のB型肝炎ワクチンを接種した群を対象群(A群),3回全て同じB型肝炎ワクチンを接種した群をコントロール群(B群)とした.ワクチンの投与は皮下注で行い,HBsAb定量およびHBsAb定性は採血で測定し,10.00 COI以上をHBsAb陽性と判定した.有害事象は3回接種後の副反応を調査票で収集し,CTCAE Ver.4.0にて評価した.A群は9名,B群は7名であり,両群ともに全例で抗体獲得が確認された.有害事象はA群で3件,B群で1件認められたが,いずれもGrade 1であった.A,B群合わせた副反応の内訳は注射部位の疼痛3件,皮膚硬結1件であり,重篤な副反応を呈した症例はなかった.今回認められた有害事象はいずれもワクチンに共通した副反応であると考えられ,1シリーズ中に異なる抗原由来のB型肝炎ワクチンを接種しても良好な抗体獲得が得られる可能性が示唆された.

Flavonoid 3'-hydroxylase (F3'H) has an important role in determining anthocyanin patterns in plants. Here, we analyzed root coloration characteristics in the radish by investigating anthocyanidin and expression of F3'H genes in cultivars with purple, red, or white roots. Cyanidin was detected in the roots of the purple radish, while pelargonidin was found in the red radish; however, neither of these anthocyanidins was detected in white radish. We isolated the RsF3'H gene of the purple root radish and found that it showed a relatively higher level of expression compared to the RsF3'H of the red radish. Moreover, we identified a retrotransposon, gypsy-Ty3, in the first exon of the F3'H homolog in the red radish. These results suggested that the F3'H enzyme may determine cyanidin-based anthocyanin in the purple radish, and that the lack of F3'H function due to the retrotransposon insertion, contributed to pelargonidin-based anthocyanin accumulation in the red radish.

Genome editing has undergone rapid development during the last three years. It is anticipated that genetically modified organisms (GMOs) for food purposes will be widely produced using the clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic repeat/Cas9 (CRISPR)/Cas9 system in the near future. However, the Cas9 gene may then enter the genomes of GMOs for food if the breeding process is not strictly managed, which could lead to the Cas9 protein or associated peptides being produced within these organisms. A variety of peptides could theoretically be produced from the Cas9 gene by using open reading frames different from that of Cas9 in the GMOs. In this study, Cas9 and the peptides potentially encoded by Cas9 genes were studied regarding their immunogenicity, in terms of the digestibility of Cas9 and the homology of the peptides to food allergens. First, the digestibility and thermal stability of Cas9 were studied. Digestibility was tested with natural or heat-denatured Cas9 in simulated gastric fluid in vitro. The two types of Cas9 were digested rapidly. Cas9 was also gradually degraded during heat treatment. Second, the peptides potentially encoded by Cas9 genes were examined for their homology to food allergens. Specifically, an 8-mer exact match search and a sliding 80-mer window search were performed using allergen databases. One of the peptides was found to have homology with a food allergen.

In general, the risk of adverse drug reactions (ADRs) is higher in elderly patients than in younger patients. In this study, we performed a comprehensive assessment of the risks of possible drug–ADR combinations in elderly patients using the Japanese Adverse Drug Event Report (JADER) database of the Pharmaceutical and Medical Devices Agency (PMDA, Japan) using the reporting odds ratio (ROR) as an index. Data recorded from April 2004 to September 2015 in the JADER database were downloaded from the PMDA website. The patients were classified into younger (≤69 years old) and elderly (≥70 years old) groups. The ROR and 95% confidence interval (CI) were calculated for all combinations of drugs and ADRs for which there were three or more reports in the database, focusing particularly on the combinations where more than 100 cases had been reported in elderly and younger patients. The most frequently reported drug–ADR combination was methotrexate with interstitial lung disease (646 cases). The combination with the highest ROR was methotrexate with lymphoproliferative disorder (ROR: 484.6, 95% CI: 334.1–702.9). In total, 27 drug–ADR combinations were found to have high risk in elderly patients. In conclusion, the findings of this comprehensive assessment of drug–ADR combinations using the JADER database will be valuable for updating the ADR risks for elderly patients in clinical setting.

本研究では,これまでに安心感の定量的評価の実現を目的とした安心度評価モデルについて提案してきた.本論文では,安心度評価モデルについて紹介し,提案モデルの妥当性の検証について報告する.質問紙を用いて安心感に関する意識調査を実施し,得られた統計データを用いて因子分析を実行した.その結果,1)社会的信用と安全性に対するユーザの期待感,2)ユーザインタフェースを介して得られる満足度,3)ユーザの主観と経験に基づくリスク理解の3 因子が安心感要因として抽出可能であることを確認し,提案モデルを支持する安心感の構造を示した.今後の課題として,抽出された安心感因子を用いて,あるシステムに対するユーザの主観評価値を予測するためには,これらの因子を定量的に考慮した予測方法の定式化または数量化手法の検討が望まれる.

1987年6月下旬~7月中旬にかけてアワヨトウ第1世代幼虫が, 渡島, 桧山, 後志, 留萌及び宗谷支庁管内の日本海沿岸地域を中心に, 全道広域的に異常多発し, イネ科牧草, ムギ類, とうもろこし及び一部水稲に甚大な被害を与えた。その大きな原因は大量の成虫群が飛来侵入したことに起因するが, 成虫の飛来時期は誘殺状況と気象推移などから判断して, 6月5日~7日頃にあったものと想定される。一方, 成虫の侵入期が牧草の一番草の刈り取り時期であったことが, 産卵活動及び増殖に好適し, また, 第1世代幼虫の発注期が少雨で, 比較的好天が持続したため, 幼虫の発育及び生存率が高まって, 大規模な異常多発にむすびついたと考えられる。

Composite pipes with structurally unsymmetric laminated configurations (SULC pipe) shows coupled deformations upon bending and torsion. Our previous study treated the static behavior of the SULC pipes, and this paper deals with their dynamic coupling behavior. The coupled bending and torsional vibration of a cantilevered SULC pipe with an eccentric weight at its free end is analyzed, neglecting the mass of the pipe and assuming that it is an undamped free vibration system with two degree of freedom, transversal and rotational displacements. It is found that the SULC pipe has an elastic principal axis apart from its geometric principal axis, and the vibration becomes uncoupled when the center of gravity of the eccentric weight is located on the elastic axis of the pipe. The effects of the fiber orientation angles and the eccentricity of the tip weight on the vibration behavior are also analyzed considering the dynamic center of rotation. The analytical results show good agreement with the experimental results.

The synaesthetic relation between olfaction and color has been investigated. In order to confirm it, we conducted a fragrance sniff test with 37 fragranced shampoos among 80 Japanese women and analyzed the results by using chromaticity to assign a color such as red, green, yellow and blue in addition to the color palette that Senoo and Motonaga (2008) had developed. The analysis indicated that the highly accepted fragrances tend to have a higher chromaticity value of red and a lower chromaticity value of blue. In addition, it suggested differences in consumer expectations toward fragrance cross-product categories as well as the association between color and attributes.

要旨 : 突発性難聴に対する副腎皮質ステロイド (以下, ステロイド) の鼓室内投与による治療の報告は約10~15年間で数多くみられるようになってきた。しかし, 治療や聴力改善の基準が統一されていないことや症例数が少ないことなどから, その効果は明らかなものではない。我々は突発性難聴に対する治療として短期間連日デキサメサゾン鼓室内注入療法 (IT-DEX) を第一選択として行っている。CO2 レーザーによる鼓膜開窓をステロイドの注入ルートとして用い, 原則として単独治療を行っている。本治療を行った96例における治癒率は39.6%であった。また, 厚生省研究班による突発性難聴に対する単剤投与の有効性の検証に症例の基準を合致させて IT-DEX 単独初期治療の効果を検討したところ, 対象症例27例中治癒は20例, 治癒率は74.1%となり, 厚生省研究班の単剤投与の成績と比較しても良好であった。症例数が少ないことが問題と思われ, 多施設での検討などが必要ではないかと考えられた。

Recently, highly efficient and selective methods for constructing various types of organic fluorine compounds have been demanded both in organic synthesis and in organofluorine synthesis. In view of the high versatility of enolate intermediates, fluorine-containing enolates-particularly those bearing a fluorine and/or perfluoroalkyl (Rf) group at the carbon center of their ambident anionic structure-are one of the most useful building blocks capable of synthesizing a variety of molecules which are fluorine-substituted regioselectively and/or stereoselectively. This review describes the generation methods and the reactions of, β-monofluorinated, β, β-difluorinated, β-perfluoroalkylated, β-fluoro-β-perfluoroalkylated, and perfluorinated enolates, together with their applications to the synthesis of the fluoro derivatives of biologically active compounds.

体内に存在する組織幹細胞の研究が進み、それを用いた再生医療の開発が期待されている。内在性幹細胞を利用することができれば低コストで安全な治療が可能になると考えられるが、その実現のためには再生能力を促進する技術が必要である。内在性幹細胞の分化・誘導因子を局所に供給するドラッグデリバリー技術の有効性が種々の研究によって明らかにされ、臨床応用がなされているものもある。こうした取り組みの現状を紹介する。
