Subacute thyroiditis is a transient inflammatory thyroid disease characterized by neck pain, fever, and typical symptoms associated with thyrotoxicosis. The incidence of subacute thyroiditis is higher in female than in male, and susceptibility is prominent in the 30–50-year age range. The variety of case reports on subacute thyroiditis associated with coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) appears to be increasing, and subacute thyroiditis following COVID-19 vaccination has recently been reported. Herein, we report two cases of subacute thyroiditis that developed after receiving the COVID-19 mRNA vaccine, one of which exhibited remarkable liver dysfunction. The mechanism underlying the development of post-vaccination subacute thyroiditis remains unknown; however, one theory suggests that adjuvants contained in vaccines may play a role in triggering diverse autoimmune and inflammatory responses. Another possibility is the potential cross-reactivity between the coronavirus spike protein target produced by the mRNA vaccine and thyroid cell antigens. Common side effects of the COVID-19 vaccine include pain at the injection site, fever, fatigue, headache, muscle pain, chills, and nausea. These symptoms are usually resolved within a few days. Subacute thyroiditis may present symptoms similar to those of short-term vaccination side effects or exhibit non-specific symptoms, potentially leading to misdiagnosis or underdiagnosis. Therefore, clinicians should be aware of the possible development of subacute thyroiditis after COVID-19 vaccination.

2012年末,安倍晋三首相が第2次安倍内閣をスタートさせた。国会での数の力と「アベノミクス」による高い内閣支持率を背景に,特定秘密保護法や安全保障法制など,タカ派的政治姿勢を前面に打ち出した。その一方で,安倍内閣のメディア対策に,組織メディアや多くの組織ジャーナリストたちは萎縮し,やがて,政権への忖度や自己規制が台頭してきた。本論では,組織メディアの忖度を安倍政権との関係で論じ,メディア側の自己規制の背景の一因を考察した。政権の中枢への忖度,あるいは報道の自己規制が顕在化してきた背景には,安倍内閣によるアメとムチのメディア戦略があることが改めて確認された。

日本の社会調査データの計量研究には, 2つの異なるアプローチが潜在している.このことはこれまで論及されることがほとんどなかったが, 本稿では高坂健次によってなされた数理社会学の方法論の整理と展開を糸口としつつ, 「数理-計量社会学」とその対極にある「計量的モノグラフ」という社会調査データの扱い方を類別する.そして, 高坂と吉川が共通の課題としている階層帰属意識の計量研究を例にとって, 両者の差異と距離を明確にする.さらに, 両者の間に位置する階層意識の「作業仮説-検証型の計量分析」の現状を示して, 計量社会意識論のあるべき姿を再考する.

【目的】消化酵素に抵抗性を示すでんぷん(レジスタントスターチ, RS)は食物繊維と同様に腸内環境を改善すると考えられているが,調理直後や保存状態による食品中RSの変化の知見は少ない。そこで種々のでんぷん性食品の加熱直後,1時間室温放置後,また電子レンジで再加熱した後のRSを測定した。【方法】乾麺のスパゲッティ1束(100g)を1Lの沸騰湯浴中で7分間加熱した。同様に乾麺のそうめん1束(90g),ゆでうどん1袋(180g),生中華麺1袋(141g)をそれぞれ加水加熱した。加熱後1時間室温で放置した。米200gに1.5倍の水を加え60分の浸漬後電気炊飯器で炊飯した。1時間室温放置した後電子レンジで再加熱,または熱湯を注ぎ10分間室温放置した。炊きたて米飯を24時間冷凍庫に保存した。取り出した冷凍米飯を電子レンジで再加熱,また再加熱後室温で4時間放置した時のRSも測定した。亀井らの方法1) に従い粉末化した試料をAOAC公定法により測定した。【結果】1時間の室温放置でRSは,スパゲッティで2.0倍,そうめんで1.5倍,ゆでうどんで1.1倍,生中華麺で2.2倍に増加した。炊きたて米飯を1時間放置するとRSは2.9倍に増えた。それを電子レンジ再加熱や,熱湯を注いで10分間の室温放置でもRSは維持されていた(1時間室温放置後RSに対し93%, 95%)。炊きたて米飯を24時間冷凍庫に保存するとRSは2.1倍に増えた。それを電子レンジ再加熱や,再加熱後の室温放置でRSはさらに増加した(24時間冷凍庫保存後のRSに対し117%, 139%)。老化したでんぷん(RS)を電子レンジで再加熱しても元の糊化でんぷんには戻らないことが示唆された。1) 亀井文ら, 宮城教育大学紀要(2016) 50, 165-170

Episodic subsidence events at the east coast of Lake Mikata, Fukui Prefecture, suggesting fault activity in the Mikata fault zone, are recognized from two drilling cores, MK09 core (60-m long) and NEXCO core (100-m long). Detailed lithology including widespread tephra horizons is described for the MK09 core, with 18 AMS-14C dates. The radiocarbon ages and tephrochronology of the core sediments indicate the continuous sedimentary history of Lake Mikata back to about 130 ka. We recognize eight depositional units ranging in thickness from 5 to 10 m in the MK09 core, each of which shows a clear coarsening-upward sequence from clay to gravel beds. These units are also recognized in the NEXCO core drilled 50 m from the MK09 core site by the correlation of tephras and lithofacies. Analysis of sedimentary features suggests that each unit and its boundary reflect a rapid rise of lake level and subsequent progradation of alluvial fans. The mean sedimentary interval of individual units is equivalent to about 10.6 kyr, which is meaningfully shorter than astronomical cycles of climate change (∼20, 41 and ∼100 kyrs). Thus, we interpret these cyclic units to be the results of recurrent co-seismic subsidence due to Mikata fault zone activity. According to this interpretation, we could identify at least seven subsidence events besides the 1662 Kanbun Earthquake. The mean recurrence interval of these events is estimated to be about 7.7 kyr.

The Trendelenburg sign can occur due to various factors, and it is necessary to evaluate the factors in detail and then perform treatment to lead to voluntary training. In this paper, we consider the factors and movement patterns of the Trendelenburg sign appearing in electromyogram data, and explain voluntary training for those factors.

It has been over a decade since reproducibility in psychology became discussed hotly. Many ideas and systems have been proposed to address the reproducibility crisis in psychology. However, it is also essential to consider the training of future generations in this regard. Here, this paper introduces some examples of efforts to incorporate reproducibility education in undergraduate psychology programs and discusses the benefits and potential challenges of these approaches. This paper aims to stimulate discussion on the role of undergraduate education in promoting the reproducibility of psychology.

就実大学・就実短期大学図書館では、寄贈により受け入れた倉敷考古館旧蔵書の整理作業を進めている。倉敷考古館において蔵書目録は作成されていなかったため、まずは寄贈資料の同定識別作業および重複調査、所蔵調査をおこなった。寄贈資料の大半を占める発掘調査報告書を検索するに当たり、国立国会図書館および国立情報学研究所のデータベースと併せて、奈良文化財研究所のデータベース「全国遺跡報告総覧」が有用であったことを述べる。発掘調査報告書を発行する自治体や教育研究機関、データ登録をおこなう参加機関とは異なる立場から大学図書館における発掘調査報告書整理作業の背景と状況、今後の課題について事例を報告する。

本稿は,再生産の経済地理学に関する試論である.人口地理学と労働の地理学の相互交流を契機として再生産に対する地理学者の関心が高まってきたが,世代の再生産が長期的に保証されていることを暗黙の前提としてきた.資本・国家は,再生産の過程に介入しこれを統制しようとしてきたが,「資本主義の黄金時代」の終焉によってそれは困難となり,再生産は不調を来した.政府は,子育ての障害の除去に努め,再生産の期待を国民に負託するが,ボイコットに直面している.少子化対策は,経済支援や子育て環境の整備のように,経済主義あるいは環境決定論の色彩を帯びる.いずれも一定の条件が整えば場所とは無関係に世代の再生産が達成されると想定するが,現実には出生率の規定要因は無数にあり,その関係性自体が場所によって異なるため,画一的な少子化対策の効果は限定的である.一国の領域内での再生産が困難になると,再生産の空間スケールはグローバル化する.日本は,外国人労働者をスポット買いできる労働力と位置づけてきた.現行の処遇を続けても,外国人労働者にとって日本が選ばれる移動先であり続けられる保証はない.再生産の困難性は,再生産が人間の主体的な意思決定に委ねられていることに起因する.このことは,私的利益の追求が全体にとって最適の結果を必ずしももたらさないという個人と社会のアポリアを示すが,結婚や出産に関する自己決定権を捨てて,社会に殉じる必要はないし,そうすべきでもない.

わが国は,1890年(明治23年)の第1回帝国議会から,会議の記録として手書き速記を用いて逐語録を作成してきた。しかし,近年の情報技術の進展等を踏まえて,衆議院は,音声認識を利用した新たな会議録作成システムを開発した。本格運用を開始して1年が過ぎ,すでに手書き速記ができない者も会議録作成業務に携わりはじめた。本稿では,会議録作成システムの開発経過およびシステムの概要に加えて,衆議院における会議録作成業務を紹介する。
