犬2例 (症例1: ゴールデン・レトリーバー, 雄, 9歳; 症例2: 雑種, 雄, 11歳) の前立腺に発生した腫瘤を病理学的に検索した. 症例1は前立腺上皮細胞に類似した円形~楕円形の細胞のシート状増殖から成り, 多数の核分裂像を伴っていた. 症例2では異型性の強い腺上皮の腺房内増殖が認められた. 抗ヒト前立腺特異抗原に対する免疫染色で, 症例1のほとんどの腫瘍細胞は陰性を, 症例2は大部分の腫瘍細胞が陽性を示した. 電顕的に, 症例1の腫瘍細胞の核は大型で異型性が認められ, 細胞小器官の乏しい細胞と豊富な細胞とが混在していた. 腺腔構造は認められなかった. 症例2の細胞は核の異型性は軽度で, 明らかな腺管を形成し, 細胞質内には遊離リボソーム, 分泌顆粒が認められたが, 他の細胞小器官は乏しかった. 症例1, 2ともに細胞間に接着斑が認められた. これらの所見から症例1は合胞体型前立腺癌, 症例2は腺房内増殖型前立腺癌と診断された.

日本では生活習慣病予防が最重要課題であり,特定保健用食品は経済活動を通じた健康増進政策の一つである。健康増進の観点では,行動経済学・ナッジにおけるゲインフレームを用いることで健康活動を促進することが知られている。本研究はこの知見を特定保健用食品の説明文に応用し,ゲインフレームが購買意思決定に影響を与えるかどうかについて層別化RCTを用いて検証した。その結果,ロスフレームよりもゲインフレームの方がWTP(Willingness To Pay)を高めることが明らかになった。一方で,購買意思決定に対する影響は確認されなかった。ゲインフレームは主観的価値を高めるものの,購買促進に影響するかどうかはさらなる検証が必要である。健康増進と経済活動の二面性を持つ特定保健用食品では,行動経済学・ナッジおよびマーケティングの知見を組み合わせた新しいアプローチが重要である。

Immunity, which denotes the protection of multicellular organisms against various bacterial and viral infections, is an essential protective mechanism for living organisms. Allergy is a reaction to a foreign substance existing in the environment that is basically not a component of the self. Additionally, autoimmune diseases are associated with the dysfunction in the recognition of self and non-self, and are pathological conditions caused by immune cells attacking their own tissues and cells. In this paper, we outline the current status of immunity with respect to the environment from the epidemiological perspective with regard to the following: (1) evolution and immunity, (2) allergy, (3) autoantibodies, (4) autoimmune diseases, (5) relationships of immunity with the environment, allergy, autoantibodies, and autoimmune diseases, and (6) celiac disease.

本研究の目的は、動機づけ面接の中核的スキルはスマートフォン使用についてのチェンジトークを引き出すかどうかを明らかにすることであった。実験参加者50名に対し、スマートフォン使用の問題を標的行動にし、OARSと呼ばれる動機づけ面接の中核的スキルを用いるOARS条件と、標的行動に関する思考、感情、そのほかの行動について共感的に聞く非OARS条件を設定し、1回の面接で交互に条件を変えて介入を行うABABデザインで実験を行った。実験参加者の発言の頻度に対するチェンジトークの頻度の百分率(以下、チェンジトーク(%)とする)を条件ごとに算出し比較した。結果、OARS条件のほうが有意にチェンジトーク(%)が高かった。同条件では、問題改善の重要度が高いとチェンジトーク(%)も高いことがわかった。動機づけ面接の中核的スキルは、スマートフォン使用についてのチェンジトークを引き出すスキルであることが示唆された。

When I first met D. T. Suzuki to ask if I might study Buddhism under his instruction, he told me all I needed to do was become Namuamidabutsu itself. Looking back over the twenty-eight months I spent with him, I realised for the very first time the other day, a good forty-five years after his death, that for all those months, through the kindness of his deeds and actions, he had been leading me to the point where I would be able of my own accord to understand the true meaning of that puzzling injunction. A short while ago I suddenly recalled something he once said about himself, namely that he had no sincerity, and it came to me then just how profound his awareness of his own finite existence had been and how deeply his understanding of the Buddha-dharma had been united with his awareness of his own karmic existence. This brief talk, entitled My Encounter with D. T. Suzuki, is in every respect an expression of my profound gratitude to D. T. Suzuki for all he did for me during my stay with him from March 1964 to July 1966.

In this study, we conducted interview surveys and observational surveys for understanding the characteristics of counseling skills possessed by expert hairdresser, and developed an integrated model of activities and thought processes in counseling. As a result, the following three characteristics were suggested: (1) The counseling process is proposal-based rather than listening-based, (2) The thoughts in the observation phase are based on abstract cognitions about clothing, and (3) The decision-making in the observation phase are more frequently in line with the customer’s wishes. These are expected not only to explain the skills possessed by expert hairdressers but also to provide clues for discussing counseling by novice. Therefore, this study is expected to contribute to the expertise of hairdresser. In constructing the model, we developed a method for integrated visualization of activities and thought processes. This method is considered to be novel and useful in skill analysis.

すでに廃止された学校宿直業務の体験者を対象とする聞き書きをもとに,現在の学校教育にかかわる示唆的部分を抽出し検討した.以下のような結果が得られた.1)宿直が副業的な業務でありながらも付加価値的に教員間や地域との豊かな交流を保障していたこと.2)宿直廃止後には地域性の変貌とともに教育改革や課外活動の業務が肥大し,教員の負担度や疲弊性を増しつつあること.その傾向は教員の疲弊性に加えメンタルヘルスの危機的情況にも繋がっていると推察されること.3)宿直業務当時における教員の“地域や学校全体を含む交流と憩いの場”の再構築が望まれるが,この課題克服に関しては教育労働の本質的検討と行政による学校教育実践上のシステム転換の検討が不可欠であると推察されること.

エビデンスに基づくがん疼痛マネジメントの看護実践を評価する尺度を開発し信頼性・妥当性および関連要因の検討を目的とした.がん疼痛の薬物療法に関するガイドラインに基づき仮尺度を作成し,地域がん診療連携拠点病院1施設の看護師189名に再テストを含む2回の調査を行った.探索的因子分析の結果,一因子50項目のがん疼痛マネジメントの看護実践尺度とその短縮版を開発した.尺度全体のCronbachのα係数は0.98(短縮版0.88)で内的一貫性を,再テストの級内相関係数は0.52(短縮版0.77)で信頼性を,緩和ケアの実践,知識,困難感,自信尺度とのそれぞれの相関で併存妥当性を確認した.がん疼痛マネジメントの看護実践の関連要因は,がん看護の経験年数,卒後教育の回数,卒後教育を十分に受けたと思うかだった.本尺度は,日々の臨床実践の評価やがん疼痛看護研修など教育的な取り組み後の実践評価などに活用できる.

Major prefabricated houses manufacturers started their business around 1960s and became world class large housing companies. This study clarifies 9 major prefabricated houses manufacturers' developments at early stage by interviews with their in-house engineers and architectural designers as well as analysis of relating documents. Early prefabricated houses were developed by small number of engineers intensively. Various architecture and specialists including foreign architecture, famous architects and academics affected these developments in some aspects. Furthermore, each of early prefabricated houses had many unique characteristics in building systems. Some of them had changed in early stages, while the others still remain nowadays.

It is widely accepted that the growth of children is a general marker of the health of children in a community. Moreover, it is assumed that the secular changes are affected by environmental conditions such as inadequate nutrition and poverty. Increases in stature of school children living in Sendai diminished at the end of the 20th century, although they remained taller and heavier than those in the preceding years after World War II. Because there was a reacceleration in growth after a reduction in acceleration, further study is required to confirm whether these secular trends are changing or not.

The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of intention in other members' defecting behavior on emotional states and decision in a social dilemma. People may appraise circumstances differently depending on what causes an undesirable event such as inequity of outcomes in a social dilemma. Thus, they may behave differently to cope with the situation. It is hypothesized that the causal attribution of inequity to intentional defection will arouse negative feeling states more strongly and promote defection. On the other hand, such tendency may not be so salient in cases where inequity is due to a system or the structure which they are in. Perceived inequity and intention was manipulated by defecting behaviorof a bogus member created through a computer program. In the experiment, all subjects were in the underprivileded status and were asked how much he/she contribute for the common good on each trial. The results supported the predictions.

Phylogenetic analysis is one of the useful tools available for revealing the evolution of life on the Earth; however, it has difficulty in principle distinguishing old and new genomes just by comparing phylogenomic trees. To overcome this difficulty, a new method is introduced which utilizes the Earth's history derived from geologic information to trace genomic evolution. This idea is inspired by Darwin's natural selection, and explains how living organisms change with the environment. In other words, life's genome does not change if the environment remains the same. A key is the birthplace of life on Hadean Earth, which is thought to be an ultra-reducing environment with H2 produced in abundance through serpentinization. OD1 is a potential microbe that has survived on the Earth since the Hadean. Its habitat, Hakuba-Happo in Japan, is a unique serpentinite-hosted hydrothermal system on land, and it has avoided evolution by remaining in a super-reducing environment from the Hadean to the present. OD1 is regarded as a “living fossil” of the Hadean microbe. Ultra-reducing environments have disappeared over the Earth's history. How has OD1 survived since the Hadean to the present? A possible scenario is proposed based on Plate Tectonics. OD1 habitats have gone through the following transitions: (1) super-reducing environment in a natural nuclear geyser on a primordial continent in the Hadean; (2) serpentinite-hosted hydrothermal system along a mid-oceanic ridge transform fault during the Archean-Proterozoic; (3) subduction-accretion and escape from oxygenated Phanerozoic ocean floor; and, (4) jacked up by growth of accretionary complexes and taking refuge in a hydrothermal system above a volcanic front. OD1 habitats have been reduced with geological age as free oxygen has increased in the surface environment. OD1 may be a “living microfossil” of the Hadean, making its way continuously through ultra-reducing environments on a tightrope.
