国内において新型燃料の導入に向けた動きがある。新型燃料の導入は燃料棒の熱的負荷の緩和等,原子力安全の向上に寄与するが,海外で十分実績のある燃料であっても,国内への展開は遅れている。 原子力安全部会では,新型燃料導入を題材に,新技術を導入する際の課題を整理するため,セミナー形式で「新型燃料の導入に向けた道筋 ―安全評価技術の継続的向上の視点から―」を開催した。新型燃料の導入に付随する新たな安全評価技術の導入や規制プロセス,安全研究,規制機関との対話などさまざまな議論が展開された。新技術の導入には産官学の連携が必要不可欠である。本シリーズでは,原子力事業者,学会,規制の各々の視点から,ハードウェアおよびソフトウェアの新技術導入に係る現状の課題を整理し,改善の方向性を示す。

新型燃料の場合,海外で実績があるとしても,メーカ毎の設計の違いが解析結果に与える影響を評価することが必要である。商業機密に留意しながらも,代表的な製品に対する試験結果を外挿するような判断の仕組みを整えることが好ましい。統計的安全評価コードは,個々の要因がパフォーマンスに与える影響を詳細に分析するためのプラットフォームの役割を果たす。その普及には,95/95値に代表される評価基準を関係者の共通理解とする必要がある。核燃料の場合,過渡・事故時の挙動の評価が特に重要である。材料試験炉という基盤インフラが危機的な状況にあるなか,安全機能と物理現象の関係を丁寧に整理し,個々の試験の意義を明確に定義する姿勢が求められる。

オンラインでの活動に必要な倫理観について,大学や地域SNSの中でアンケート調査を行った結果を報告する。また,匿名性と個人情報保護という観点から,インターネットと信頼できるネットワークの違いについて議論する。その結果から,ネットワーク社会で倫理観を支えるための要因を推定するとともに,現状で不足している事項について検討し,今後のインターネット倫理教育への提言とする。

To study the effectiveness of bone peg graft from the ulna for osteochondritis dissecans of the elbow joint, we analyzed 16 patients with bone peg graft who had various types of preoperative and postoperative findings. All the cases were baseball players except for one volleyball player. The onset ages ranged from 10 to 16 years (mean 11.2), and the periods from then to the operation from 5 to 72 months (mean 2.6 years) . The follow-up periods were from 12 to 29 months (mean 20 months) . Based on Minami's X-P classification, 8 cases were categorized into the stage of fragmentation and 8 into the stage of isolation. Patients were also classified with respect to the osteochondral lesion found during operation; 9 were without abrasion of the lesion or, if with it, without invasion of fibrocartilage into the lesion and were classified into Type 1. The 7 in which the osteochondral lesion was unstable due to the invasion of fibrocartilage were classified as Type 2. The results with regard to postoperative X-P were classified as excellent when the osteochondral lesion was repaired anatomically, as ‘good’ when the lesion was under repair and the osteosclerotic halo of the capitulum had disappeared, and as ‘poor’ when the halo remained. As a result, 7 Type 1 cases (78%) were excellent and 2 cases (22%) good, while one Type 2 case (14%) was excellent, 4 (57%) were good and 2 (29%) were poor. All patients were clinically not symptomatic and were satisfied with the surgery. We emphasized that bone peg graft could be indicated in all cases of osteochondral dissecans of the elbow joint and that there were difficulties in repairing osteochondral lesion in Type 2 (unstable) cases.

本研究では,高等学校の共通教科「情報」および大学の一般情報教育において,主体的・対話的で深い学びを実現するために,体験的な学びを通して情報の科学的な理解を促進する教材と授業内外の学習活動を効果的に活用した授業モデル,ならびに多様な学びを対象とした自己調整学習支援環境を設計・開発し,その効果を検証することを目的とする。この目的を達成するために,(1)共通必履修科目「情報I」を対象に,体験的な実習教材および反転授業を取り入れた授業モデルの開発と評価,(2)新学習指導要領を踏まえた大学の一般情報教育の授業設計,(3) 多様な学習活動データに基づく自己調整学習支援環境の開発と評価に取り組む。

高い抗酸化力のあるプロアントシアニジン(PAC)の摂取量の多い人では腎臓病のリスクが低いことが 知られている。今回、腎機能低下を示すビーグル 2 頭およびマルチーズ 1 頭において、PAC を高濃度に含 有するブルーベリー茎エキス(0.2-0.6 ml/kg/day)を3-4ヶ月間経口投与し、腎機能に加え、肝機能 の変化も調査した。結果、BUN はすべて低下し、CRE は 1 例の低下が確認された。

The purpose of this survey is to clarify the status of standards on ventilation requirements for residential buildings in European and North American countries. This paper reports the minimum ventilation rate for the residential buildings in eleven countries which are described in the literatures. The airflow rate and air change rate are calculated for a model house proposed by The Architectural Institute of Japan. As a result, the values of air change rate is around 0.5 ACH in almost all countries.

This paper proposes the evaluation method of seismic performance of shear resisting elements in timber construction with shear walls. Proposed new evaluation method uses two parameters of horizontal stiffness and potential energy of the shear walls. These two design values provide horizontal damage limit and safety limit strengths of stories that have equal quality to those by the summation of load-deformation curves of the shear walls. These strengths by this method have less variety than those by existing simple evaluation method. This method also provides Ds values of stories that consist of different type of shear walls. Ds values of the stories have not been provided by the existing simple evaluation method. Precise safety limit strengths and Ds-values of the stories realize to apply horizontal load-carrying capacity design method for the structures with different type of shear walls. This evaluation method would be possible to apply for other structures than the timber construction as a simplified method.

A survey of mammal fauna using a total 26 automatic digital camera traps on an abandoned railway and a series of tunnels belonging to the former Japanese National Railway was conducted from March 2, 2015 to December 19, 2019 in Kasugai, Aichi Prefecture in Central Japan. A total of 74,807 informative photographs were obtained over 41,052 camera days. Of the 15 mammals that were photo-captured, the most frequently photographed was Sus scrofa (relative abundance index: 15.1 photographs/100 camera-days), followed by Paguma larvata (6.2), Felis catus (5.6), Vulpes vulpes (1.4), Nyctereutes procyonoides (1.2), Lepus brachyurus (0.7), Martes melampus (0.2), Procyon lotor (0.2), Capricornis crispus (0.2), Cervus nippon (0.1), Mustela sp. (0.1), Sciurus lis (< 0.1), Macaca fuscata (< 0.1), Meles anakuma (< 0.1), Myocastor coypus (< 0.1), in order. The study area, which is located in the eastern foothills of Aichi Prefecture, supports populations of local wildlife species that are representative of medium- and large–sized mammals (S. scrofa, V. vulpes, N. procyonoides and L. brachyurus, M. melampus, C. crispus, and C. nippon) and is considered to contribute positively towards the conservation of regional biodiversity. Since the activity of S. scrofa and the administrators of the abandoned railway and tunnels overlap during the twilight hours (i.e., one hour before and after sunrise and sunset), caution is necessary to prevent encounters between S. scrofa and humans.

This paper reports the qualitative analysis on the episodes of care workers towards defining requirements for a person-centered care service. A labor shortage is a significant problem in a nursing care domain. A work improvement by information technologies is one of the most expected solutions for the issue. However, individual cares in a nursing care field are also essential. We conducted a survey on understanding and practice of the person-centered care through questionnaires and interviews. As a result of the qualitative analysis by the Grounded Theory Approach, it was shown that it is important to more effectively utilize a care plan and to promote dialogues and observations for better understanding of care recipients. This paper also discusses a possible utilization of information technologies for the person-centered care with a focus on a care plan.

This paper proposes a new structural dual rotor SPMSM (Surface Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor) using ferrite magnets having high torque density, small size, and low noise. In addition, the advantages of having a toroidally winding and adual rotor are examined through analysis, and it is confirmed that the torque density of the proposed motor is competitive to the rare-earth IPMSM (Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor).
