This paper proposes an artificial neural network system for regressive estimation of wave making resistance, which is significantly important in preliminary design of high-speed ship. The neural network can explicitly realize nonlinear mapping between hull form and wave making resistance. The system is composed of two kinds of neural networks ; Estimating Net and Descriptive Net. The Estimating Net learns the relation between hull form parameters and wave making resistance coefficients from a number of model-resistance test data. Consequently, when Froude Number, principal particular rations, and area curve parameters of a hull form are given, the Estimating Net of the learned data points in the hull form parameters space. It provides the information about the density of the learned data at the input point in the above parameters' space. In this paper, the test data of 62 models : Series 60, are used for the construction of the system. The leaning is successful and the results of playback calculation show good agreement with the original test data. Some applicable cases for non-learned hull forms are also explained. It is shown that the accuracy of the estimation is in accordance with the output of the Descriptive Net. When other model test data are available, it is easy to modify the constructed system, taking advantage of leaning ability of neural networks.

Minor musicians have utilized various technologies and spaces such as web and a livehouse in order to distribute their music and in order to make a network among musicians and audiences. However, since these technologies and spaces were independently used, these musicians' activities were not visible enough to audiences. Thus, I arranged and implemented GoogleMaps and Blog sites that make minor musicians activities visible. I conducted interview with some minor musicians along with utilizing these GoogleMaps and Blog sites. The result of interview shows that these sites has possibilities of making minor musicians activities visible and of constituting a network among musicians and audiences.

この論文では, 感性情報処理のために, 2次元顔画像から人の表情を生成する関数を抽出している. 人間は他人の表情からいかなる情報を得て, 個人の識別や感情の分析をしているかという問題に対して, いまだ解答が得られていない. 顔による個人識別や表情の認識に関する研究では, その特徴をどのような方法で, どのように記述するかが大きなテーマである. その一案として, 薄板スプラインを用いたメタモルフォシスにより, 表情の変化を平面顔画像上で追跡し, その変化を表情関数という形で定量的に抽出する. 更に, この表情関数を用いて, 1枚の無表情の顔画像から人間の代表的な6種類の感情を表す顔画像を生成する. この表情関数は顔を対象としたセキュリティチェックシステムの基礎となる概念である.

今日、ガバナンス問題、コンプライアンス問題、合併・買収問題など経営と法律がクロスオーバーする現象や事態が企業の周辺に頻繁に起こっている。従来、これらの問題について経営学の立場から、あるいは法学の立場からのみ、アプローチがなされてきた。実務界においても、経営法務や企業法務の出番は経営行動の事故処理・事後処理にあり、戦略的問題として、法学的見地からあらゆる事態を想定して先んじて手を打つ、といったように経営者の意思決定に法学的な要素を積極的に取り入れることは難しいかったように思える。また、研究や教育においても、経営学では法律の知識や経験を経営資源と考えることはせず、法学では意思決定の結果に対する事後処理となる紛争法務がクローズアップされる傾向にある。そして、なによりも経営学と法学には大きな溝がある。実務の世界で次から次へと発生する経営と法律がクロスオーバーする現象や事態について、経営学者と法学者が協力して、分析し、解釈し、理論構築にアプローチしていくことが求められるだろう。

胸骨切除・再建を要した前縦隔脂肪肉腫の一手術例を経験したので報告する.症例は79歳男性で, 集団検診において, 右肺門部の異常陰影を指摘され精査加療目的で紹介入院した.良性縦隔腫瘍を疑い手術を行ったが, 術中所見にて前胸壁に浸潤を認めたため, 縦隔腫瘍摘除術並びに胸骨・肋骨合併切除を行った.胸壁再建にはMarlex meshでサソドイッチしたレジン板(methyl methacrylate resin)を用いた.術後経過は良好であったが, 術11カ月後に多発転移, 局所再発のため死亡した.脂肪肉腫は, 縦隔に発生することは稀であるため, 文献的考察を加えて報告する.

本論文は矩計図設計技術習得において模型製作体験を導入する効果を検証することが目的である。矩計図の評価を模型製作体験層と非体験層で比較した結果、模型製作体験が矩計図設計技術習得に効果があり、特に総合力、高度な想像力、深い理解、知識の安定性に効果がこの実践ではみられた。学習方法として立体物を模型として製作することが総合力、高度な想像力の育成に効果的であること、体験に関しては学習者が能動的に行なえることが重要であること、矩計図設計の技術・知識が体験で実際に操作することによって習得できることがみられた。

With President G.W. Bush's strong confidence, Vice President Dick Cheney (2001-2009) exerted dominant influence on the administration's major policy decisions. In conjunction with the litigation of the Government Accounting Office versus Cheney concerning declassification of records of a presidential commission, the National Energy Policy Development, which he chaired, the Office of Vice President claimed that no law and executive directive on declassitication of executive information apply to a vice president; this is on the ground that they do not apply to the legislative branch, and that the vice presidency as Chairman of the Senate is part of the branch. This paper will first analyze the constitutional, statutory and other existing positions and roles of the contemporary U.S. vice presidency, and then examine some major pros and cons of them under separation of powers. Based on the findings, the author will discuss preliminarily about what roles a vice president should play.

症例は88歳の女性で, 発熱・食欲低下を主訴に受診し, 腹部CTにて虫垂周囲膿瘍と触診にて腹膜刺激症状を認めた.血液検査上, WBC 27,600/mm^3, CRP 34.8mg/dlと高度の炎症所見を伴っていたため虫垂穿孔による汎発性腹膜炎と診断し手術を行った.術中所見では子宮底部に穿孔を認め, 直腸癌が子宮に浸潤し左尿管・左卵巣を巻き込んでいた.膀胱への浸潤を認めなかったため直腸・子宮・左卵巣合併切除および人工肛門造設術を施行した.病理組織学的には, 直腸癌が子宮筋層に浸潤しているのを確認した.本症例は癌の浸潤により子宮内腔が汚染され, 癌の進行とともに子宮に機械的閉塞を生じ子宮留膿腫を引き起こし穿孔したまれな症例であった.高齢女性の汎発性腹膜炎に遭遇した場合, 子宮・付属器の疾患も十分に考慮しつつ骨盤腔を精査し手術に望むべきであると思われた.

本論文は間欠性カオス写像を用いた移動障害物回避問題について検討している.本手法は, カオス的ゆらぎを利用して軌道制御を行うエージェント指向のロボットのモデル化を提案するものである.具体的には, 間欠性カオス写像を発生させる変形ベルヌーイ系のパラメータを変えることにり, ランダム性の強い制御から局所的に収束する制御まで容易に実現でき, より適切な軌道制御が可能になるものと考えられる.本論文では, この手法によるロボットの移動障害物回避のための軌道制御のモデリングについて述べると共に, シミュレーション結果からこの方法の有用性について検討した.この結果, (1)移動距離と消費エネルギーに関してロスが小さくなるような経路を通って障害物を回避する効率のよい軌道修正が可能となる, (2)複数の障害物で構成される複雑な環境においても簡単なアルゴリズムで適切な回避処理を実現できる, こと等を得た.

As a part of my research on "The U. S.-Japan Alliance and Military High Technology", this study will focus on the FSX codevelopment projects in the light of a renewed U. S.-Japan armament game. The analysis will highlight on the U. S. dilemma, between competitive interdependence and techno-nationalism, in deciding a policy toward the techno-industrial Japa-nese power, The work will examine the dynamics of technological dovelopment, with focus on why and how the Bush Administration resorted in vain to both economic statecraft and bargaining approaches, while ignoring the prevailing realities of competitive interdependece in international relations. The analysis will also serve to delineate a series of political constraints imposed by the politics of military and dual-use technologies.
