A 12-year-old male entire Miniature Pinscher presented with excoriations at various body sites, progressively forming ulcers and enlarging until arrested by treatment. Based on the clinical presentation and histopathological analyses, sterile neutrophilic dermatosis was suspected. Therefore, the dog was started on prednisolone. Marked improvement was achieved with prednisolone treatment, suggesting a diagnosis of pyoderma gangrenosum (PG). Transcription levels of cytokine mRNA in lesional skin before and after treatment from this dog were quantified by real-time RT-PCR. Transcription levels of tumor necrosis factor-α, interleukin (IL)-1β, IL-8 and IL-17A were higher in lesional skin before treatment than after treatment. Levels of various cytokines could be increased in lesional skin of dogs with PG as well as in human patients with PG.

ウェブのアクセシビリティは,インターネットのユーザにとって必要であり,特に視覚要素は非常に重要な要因である.我々は,健常若年者およびシミュレーションフィルタを用いた模擬高齢者および模擬色覚障碍者について,無彩色における視認性評価を行った.さらに,RGB値を用いた明度差および色差を用いて重回帰分析による視認性予測を行ってきた.そこで本論文では,これまでに得た白色背景と黒色背景の視認性予測結果を総合的に評価した.その結果,明度差および色差により視認性判定は明確に分類でき,明度差(L)がL<152.7のとき色差(E)がE≦65.8L-9593,明度差が152.7≦L<153.0とき色差がE≦16.0L-1989,明度差がL≧153.0のとき色差がE≦8.77L-883.1を満たす背景色と文字色の明度差および色差で無彩色背景においては背景色に関係なく視認性が高いと判定できることが示された.

The roles of plant hormones in the early growth of pepper fruit (Capsicum annuum L.) were investigated. An exogenous hormone treatment study indicated that cytokinin (CK) was more effective at stimulating early fruit growth in two lines than auxin or gibberellin (GA). Endogenous levels of CKs, 3-indole-acetic acid (IAA), and GAs in young pollinated and unpollinated fruit of four lines (two with medium-sized and two with small fruit) were also investigated. In pollinated fruit, the level of trans-zeatin riboside (tZR) increased with fruit size. In unpollinated fruit, tZR did not increase in any lines. IAA levels decreased gradually after flowering and did not differ between pollinated and unpollinated fruit in any lines. Levels of GA1 in unpollinated fruit of the lines in which unpollinated fruit were relatively well enlarged were slightly higher. In the line in which unpollinated fruit could not enlarge, GA1 levels of all samples were lower than the others. These results indicate that tZR is important in the early enlargement of pollinated pepper fruit, and that GA1 is involved in early fruit enlargement, especially in unpollinated pepper.

Start-up scheduling is aimed at minimizing the start-up time while limiting turbine rotor stresses to an acceptable level. This scheduling problem has a wide search space. In order to improve the search efficiency and robustness and to establish an adaptive search model, we propose to integrate evolutionary computation, based on Genetic Algorithms (GA), with reinforcement learning. The strategies with our proposal include: multi-boundary-based enforcement operator and multi-elitist plan. By setting a second boundary, located right outside the existing boundary containing those feasible schedules, we extend our proposed enforcement operator and the conventional elitist plan into the multi-boundary-based enforcement operator and multi-elitist plan. These two strategies work together to focus the search along the boundary, around which the optimal schedule is supposed to exist, so as to increase the search efficiency as well as its robustness. During a search process, GA guides the reinforcement learning to concentrate its learning on those promising areas instead of the entire space. In return, reinforcement learning can generate a good schedule, in the earlier stage of the search process. We obtain encouraging test results. In this paper, we propose the GA-based search model with these strategies and discuss the test results.
2 0 0 0 ジャムドマターの非ガウスゆらぎとレオロジー
2017度は4回研究メンバー全員が集まった研究成果発表会を開き、そのうちの一回はアメリカのO'Hern教授を招いた国際会議形式を取り、本研究課題を推進した。出版論文は13(謝辞記載有りは11)であり、投稿中のプレプリントは4本である。これらの数は昨年並であるが、High Impact Factorへの発表論文が2つあり、そのうちの1本は日経新聞をはじめとした各種メディアに大いに取り上げられて注目された。国際会議の招待講演は5件(全て海外)、国内の招待講演は5件であった。主な研究成果として(1)シアシックニングの運動論をある程度濃いサスペンションへの適用の成功, (2) ジャミング点近傍でのサスペンションレオロジーの理論の発展、(3) シアジャム状態のプロトコル依存性の明示とシアシックニングとの関係の明示、(4)粘着性粉体のレオロジー;特に凝集不安定性、(5)粉体パイルの緩和 (6) パッキングへの摩擦のサイズ分布の影響、(7)剪断粉体系での異方的なエネルギースペクトルの緩和、 (8)摩擦のある粉体ジャム系でのシアモディラスの不連続な変化等を明らかにした事等が挙げられる。その他、非ガウスゆらぎの量子系への適用、幾何学的位相がある場合に非断熱的効果によってOnsager関係式が破れる事にも成果を挙げている。その他、現在研究が進展中でかつ論文執筆準備中の研究内容は非ガウスノイズの影響を受けた多体問題と2体有効相互作用に関する理論的研究、粉体環境中のトレーサー粒子間に働く有効相互作用、摩擦のある系のシアシックニングの理論等である。

ルナールの生涯を眺めるときことにショーモの村会議員に選出されて以降のショーモ,シトリー村における政治活動を無視することはできない。それどころか彼の文学作品そのものにもこの村政にたずさわった体験は影響を及ぼしている。そしていくつか傑作は書かれるもののしだいに文学活動は低調になってゆく。これはルナールが村の政治に多くの時間をとられ,犠牲をしいられたということであろうか。それともルナールにとって政治が文学よりも重要性を帯びたということであろうか。いずれにしろこの問題を考えるとき第三共和政を揺るがしたドレフュス事件をはじめとする内外の政治・社会状況,そしてレオン・ブルム,ジャン・ジョレスなどの政治家との交流を検討することが欠かせない。

とかく近頃, 遺伝子組換え食品の安全性が話題になっている。特に消費者は組換え食品に対しアレルギーを抱いているようである。<BR>ここでは, 遺伝子組換え作物の安全性について, ジャガイモとコメに大豆の貯蔵タンパク質であるグリシニンの遺伝子を挿入した組換え作物をつくり, 非組換え体と比較し, その成分組成や動物飼育実験結果からの安全性評価を解説していただいた。また, 組換え体の容易な判別法 (モニタリング) を使用して遺伝子組換え大豆の検出法をも紹介していただいた。

人が魅力的と感じる画像は利用価値が高いが,魅力の程度は人の主観に左右されるため,その定義・抽出が困難である.そこで,人が画像に対して感じる魅力の程度(魅力値)を算出する研究が活発になされてきた.このような研究では,画像の色などの低レベル特徴や画像共有サイトのメタ情報が使われてきたが,主観評価との相関が十分議論されていなかった.そこで本研究では,Web上の主観評価およびメタ情報を用い,主観評価とメタ情報の関係を解析することで,メタ情報に基づく新たな魅力値算出手法を提案する.メタ情報には,画像共有サイト上のメタ情報と,メタ情報の平均値との差を用い,人の感じる魅力である主観評価には,独自に作成したWebアンケートサイトにより大量に収集した評価値を用いた.生成した魅力値算出式による魅力値と主観評価との間には強い正の相関が見られ,魅力値算出式の有効性が示された.

デジタルビデオカメラの普及およびPCの発達により,一般人でも映像の撮影,保存を行なえる環境が整いつつある.しかし編集および閲覧するための設備はいまだ不十分であり.より容易に高速に所望のシーンにアクセスするため,映像の特徴を示す情報(インデックス)を自動的に抽出し,ラベル付けする技術(インデキシング)が必要とされている.一般人の撮影する映像には撮影対象が人物である場合が多く,インデックスとして登場人物や人数,人物の動きなどが求められる.本稿では,これらのインデックスを抽出するために,人物顔を映像から検出するシステムを検討している.中でも顔追跡の方法にCamShiftアルゴリズムを用いており,インデキシングに適した応用方法について述べる.By the spread of a digital video camera and the development of PC, we can film and store it easily now. However, the facility to edit and watch is not enough. IN order to access a desired scene at high speed more easily, a technology extractinng information to show video contents is needed. There are many cases that the target is a person to the picture which we film as a hobby, and a character and the number of people, movement of a person are needed as an index. I examine a system detecting human faces from a picture in order to extract these indexes in this paper. I use CamShift algorithm in a method of a face traking and describe a suitable method to index.
