本論文では視線による高速で使いやすいコマンド選択方法を提案する. 本方法は視線には精度は高くないが高速な移動が可能であるという特性をいかすことで利用者の負担が少なく また初心者から熟練者まで使いやすいものとなっている. 我々はメニュー選択課題を題材とした評価実験を行い 本方式およびマウスによる選択作業を比較した. その結果 初心者でも視線によって高速にメニューを選択することができることを確認した. また 評価実験の結果を基に 視線の測定精度を向上させて誤選択を軽減させる方法について検討を行った. さらに視線による複数アプリケーション制御環境のプロトタイプを作成し 既存のGraphical User Interfaceと視線インタフェースの環境を統合することで使いやすい作業環境を構築できる可能性があることを示した.In this paper, a fast and easy command selection method with the eye mark is presented. This method has proved to be friendly for both novice and expert users. They do not find it burdensome because it is based on features of eye movement, which is quick and rough in measure. We conducted an experiment of a menu selection task to evaluate the method and compared the performance of the eye mark with that of the mouse. Based on the results, I proposed a method that improves the accuracy of the eye mark recorder and reduces its selection error. Finally, we present a prototype application management tool in a multi-window desktop environment. Within this environment, the new selection method with the eye mark recorder is used to control applications. The example demonstrates that incorporating the eye mark interface into the traditional Graphical User Interface makes it possible to realize an easy to use working environment.

本研究は、日米安保条約を基礎に日米が1950年代を通じてどのように、どのような安全保障関係を形成したのか、とくに在日米軍基地の運用をめぐる合意形成に焦点を当てた研究である。条約締結時に日本が自衛の能力と意思に乏しかったこともあって、日米間の安全保障関係の中心的機能は、共同防衛よりも基地の貸借と運用であった。その性格は1950年代を通じてほとんど変わらず、日米は基地の運用をめぐってさまざまな慣行や制度を作りあげていった。事前協議制度はそのひとつの例である。本研究は、日米両国が米軍基地の運用に日本が協力する仕組みを形成することを通じて、日米が「同盟」関係を形成したことを明らかにしている。

今回実施した国際共同授業は、スウェーデンのカペラゴーデン美術工芸学校、と富山大学高岡短期大学部専攻科産業造形専攻の学生が同一課題のもとで作品制作を行い、その成果を共有して相互の学生が発想の源泉を幅広いものにすると共に、作品の特色や教育方法について比較研究することを目的とした試みである。同一課題は、日々の生活の中で使う「トレー(お盆)」の制作をテーマとして行い、その作品を交換して固紋において作品発表展覧会を開催する手順で行った。本稿では、カペラゴーデン美術工芸学校の学生作品に見られる幾つかの特徴を抽出し、それらの特徴を作り出す教育方法等の背景について考察する。

二度切り栽培(抑制栽培無加温据え置き)におけるオリエンタルハイブリッドユリの開花調節は難しく、季咲き時期に出荷ピークが集中し価格変動が大きい。また、岩手では季咲きの出荷時期は7月から8月上旬であり、特に8月上旬出荷のユリは、1~2週間程度の短期間貯蔵ができれば、お盆需要に向けることができ、高価格取引が見込まれる。そこで、生産者が有利な販売ができるように、品質を高く保持したまま、出荷調整を可能とする短期貯蔵法を開発した。

8月11日午前5時7分ごろ、駿河湾を震源とする地震が発生し、東名高速道路の牧之原サービスエリア付近で上り線の路肩部分が崩落。お盆休みの帰省とUターンの混雑期を迎えるなか、上下線とも通行止めとなった。下り線は13日午前零時に開通したが、上り線は応急復旧工事が難航し、当初の予定よりも大幅に遅れて16日午前零時に開通した。

Human T lymphotropic virus type-I (HTLV-I)キャリアの死亡指数を,九州,宇和島,佐賀,ジャマイカにおけるキャリアあたりの成人T細胞白血病(ATL)発症率,およびATL死亡率曲線の資料を用いて算出した。30歳HTLV-Iキャリアの到達年齢別死亡指数は,40歳時100〜173,50歳時120〜146,60歳時117〜132,70歳時107〜117であった。40歳時で地域間のばらつきが大きかった理由として,40歳以下の人口に占めるATL患者の割合が相対的に少なく発症率に差があったことに加え,40歳以下の標準死亡率が40歳超に比べて低いことが考えられる。40歳キャリアの死亡指数は,50歳時119〜139,60歳時115〜127,70歳時106〜115であった。今回の検討により,30歳キャリアにおける20年以上の契約や,40歳以上のキャリアでは,無条件選択が可能と考えられた。今後,死亡予後とは別に,HTLV-I関連症候群の影響を考慮した検討も必要であろう。

This paper examines the early stage of the geotectonic history of the Japanese Islands on the basis of finding hydrothermal jadeitite including zircons of ca. 520 Ma in serpentinite mélange of the Itoigawa-Omi area of the Hida-Gaien belt, Central Japan. Hydrothermal jadeitite contains euhedral jadeite in natrolite veins and patches, and consists of jadeite-albite and jadeite-natrolite without quartz. These minerals were crystallized from an aqueous fluid phase at the low-pressure and high-temperature side of the reaction boundary of albite = jadeite + quartz in the system NaAlSiO4-SiO2-H2O. The occurrence of rounded relict hornblende mantled by omphacite rimmed by fine-grained aggregates of jadeite in the matrix of jadeite and albite suggests a pervasive hydrothermal fluid flow, through which metabasite was extensively replaced by jadeitite. This rather high-temperature hydrothermal activity of ca. 520 Ma did not occur in an ordinary subduction zone but in a newly-formed mantle wedge suffering severe hydration from a subducting slab. Recently accumulated U-Pb ages of zircon of ca. 450-500 Ma from paleozoic sediments and granitic rocks of the Hida-Gaien belt were due to initiation of subduction followed by subduction zone magmatism. Protolith of serpentinite in the Hida-Gaien belt includes highly depleted harzburgite, thus requiring tectonic setting of a high-temperature-rift zone rather than a low-temperature-slow spreading ridge. Subduction was initiated at ca. 520 Ma along the boundary between low-density harzburgitic rift zone peridotite and lherzolitic spreading ridge peridotite with a slightly higher density, resulting in the common occurrence of harzburgitic serpentinite in the oldest part of the accretionary complex of Southwest Japan. An area including the Japanese Islands was born around the Yangtze block by the breaking up of the Rodinia supercontinent, because the oldest K-Ar age of biotite actinolit rock of 672 Ma (Matsumoto et al., 1981) and the subduction initiation of ca. 520 Ma are in accord with the paleogeographic history of the Yangtze block, and because ca. 300 Ma Renge schists of the Hida-Gaien belt did not suffer the ca. 280-200 Ma collision-type metamorphism of the Hida metamorphic belt that is an eastern extension of the suture between the Sino-Korea and Yangtze blocks.

From the fruits of Arctium lappa L. (Japanease name"goboshi, ""akujitsu, "or "dairikishi"), two new sesquilignan derivatives, AL-D and AL-F, were isolated along with arctin, arctigenin, and matairesinol. From spectroscopic and chemical investigations, the structure of AL-D was elucidated as 2-[2-(3-methoxy-4-hydroxy) phenyl-3-hydroxymethyl-7-methoxy-2,3-dihydrobenzofuran-5-yl] methyl-3-(3-methoxy-4-hydroxy)-benzyl-buthyrolactone [I] or 2-(3-methoxy-4-hydroxy) benzyl-3-[2-(3-methoxy-4-hydroxy)-phenyl-3-hydroxymethyl-7-methoxy-2,3-dihydrobenzofuran-5-yl] methyl-buthyrolactone [II]. AL-F was found to be a stereoisomer of AL-D.

One third of samples of Arctii Fructus, commercially obtained in China, were found to be adulterated with fruits of five other species, Arctium tomentosum, Onopordum acanthium, Aucklandia lappa and Silybum marianum of the family Compositae, possessing achenes, and Amorpha fruticosa of the family Leguminosae possessing a legume. Ar. tomentosum fruit was the most frequent adulterant. These five fruits were distinguished from the fruit of Arctium lappa, the original Arctii Fructus, by the macroscopic morphological characteristics such as the size, color, presence or absence of ridge, spots and pits, remains of the style and pappus scar circle at one end, and by the microscopic characteristics such as outline of outer pericarp, presence or absence and the shape of crystals in the epicarp and endocarp, presence or absence of oil sac in the mesocarp, size and color of the palisade cells in the outer seed coat, presence or absence and the shape of crystals in the inner seed coat and cotyledon.
