Theories of justice premise that we can articulate and formulate the universal, comprehensive, and public justice. ‘Justice’ as such has affinity with ‘law’ or ‘adjudication.’ In the modern society, nevertheless, autonomous law, structurally differentiated from the other functional systems, has fundamental gaps from justice, though still making, or believing, its integrity and identity based on justice. In some situations, ‘justice’ is even invoked to criticize and reject law. Sociology of law, that is originally a reflection on excessive doctrinarism and dogmatism in jurisprudence, may utilize its sensibility when discussing and dogmatizing justice.

四種のアジア原産トランペットユリ(Liliumcentifolium centifolium, L. sargentiae, L. wallichianum, and L. regale 'Album')をシンテッポウユリ(L. × formolongi)品種ホワイトランサーに花柱切断法で交配した.子房胚珠培養法と胚培養を行い雑種植物体の獲得数を比較した.いずれの交配組合せでも子房胚珠培養法でより多くの交雑植物が得られた. rDNAのPCR-RFLP分析により,幼植物の雑種性が確認された.得られた交雑植物は,いずれも白色トランペット型の花をつけ,花粉稔性は低かった.

多重代入法(Multiple Imputation; MI)は多分野の研究で欠測データを解析する手法として使われている.多重代入法は非常に使いやすい反面,欠測値に代入する補完値を生成する際に条件付き分布の同定を誤ると偏りのある推定量を導き得るという欠点がある.本研究では条件付き密度推定から導かれる重みを利用した重み付き最尤推定法(Bias-corrected MI; BCMI)に基づく推定量が,目的変数が欠測する場合の回帰分析においても一定の条件下で一致性があることを確認した.さらに,本手法を予測に適用することを検討し,予測精度を向上させるために密度推定によって求めた重みと補完したデータに対する重み付けパラメータを導入し,交差検証によって値を定めるという改良法(BCMI-CV)を提案した.数値実験によって,BCMI-CVは補完の誤り度合いによらず,安定的に予測誤差を小さくするという挙動を示すことを確認した.

Epidermal keratinocytes protect themselves by cooperating with neighboring cells against internal and external stresses, which leads not only to the maintenance of cell homeostasis but also to the prevention of skin aging. Although it is known that nuclear factor (NF)-E2-related factor 2 (Nrf2) signaling plays a pivotal role in ameliorating oxidative stress and inflammatory responses under stress situations, it is unclear whether Nrf2 signaling in keratinocytes cooperates with neighboring cells such as dermal fibroblasts. Thus, this study was conducted to examine the influence of dermal fibroblasts on Nrf2 signaling in epidermal keratinocytes using a co-culture system. The results show that expression levels of Nrf2-regulated antioxidant factors, such as glutathione and heme oxygenase-1, in HaCaT keratinocytes (HaCaT KCs) are up-regulated in the presence of normal human dermal fibroblasts (NHDFs). In addition, the secretion of pro-inflammatory molecules, including interleukin-1α (IL-1α) and prostaglandin E2 (PGE2), is suppressed in co-cultures of NHDFs and UVB-irradiated HaCaT KCs. Interestingly, the localization of Nrf2 protein in HaCaT KCs was immediately translocated from the cytoplasm to the nucleus after the co-culture with NHDFs. These results suggest the possibility that Nrf2 signaling in keratinocytes is regulated in cooperation with dermal fibroblasts.

標準住宅モデルを対象にCFD解析によってルームエアコンでのスリット開口による全館暖冷房方式における温熱環境および空気流分布の評価を行い、エアコンの設置位置や床や天井の開口率によって温熱環境が異なることが分かった。冬期暖房時、床下でのエアコンの位置や向きは、いくつかの場合で基礎構造が空気の流れを遮ることがあるため、重要な要素である。1階の開口率を小さく、2階をより大きな開口率とすることが住居全体の均一な温熱環境につながった。

訪問看護における倫理的課題を明らかにするために,訪問看護ステーションに所属する訪問看護師300人を対象に,倫理的課題の経験や悩みの有無に関する自己記入式質問紙調査を行った。114人から回答が得られ,以下のことが明らかになった。1.倫理的課題に関する質問19項目のうち,50%以上の者が経験していた課題が10項目あった。2.倫理的課題を経験した場合,その課題に関する悩みの有無については,19項目中18項目について70%以上の者が悩んでいた。3.5つにカテゴリー化した倫理的課題の分類の中で,<利用者の意向と看護職者の意向が食い違うため看護職者が悩む状況>,<利用者の意向と家族の意向が食い違うため看護職者が悩む状況>において,倫理的課題を経験している者が多かった。しかし悩みの有無に関してはカテゴリー間で大きな差はみられず,いずれのカテゴリーにおいても倫理的課題に対し多くの者が悩んでいた。以上の結果から,訪問看護活動において看護職者はしばしば倫理的課題に遭遇しており,それに対し多くの看護者が悩み(ジレンマ)を抱いていることが明らかになった。訪問看護職者個々人が倫理的な判断能力を向上させる一方,倫理的課題への組織的な取り組みなどの対応策が必要であることが示唆された。

[Purpose] CYP2D catalyze dopamine formation from p- and m-tyramine in the brain, and human CYP2D6 is polymorphic Imipramine, a tricyclic antidepressant, and fluvoxamine, an SSRI, are CYP2D6 inhibitors. Dopamine formation from p-tyramine mediated by CYP2D6 variants, CYP2D6.2 and CYP2D6.10 was compared, and the effect of genetic polymorphism on the inhibitory effects of antidepressants was investigated.[Methods] CYP2D6.1, CYP2D6.2, and CYP2D6.10 expressed in recombinant Escherichia coli were used. Dopamine formation from p-tyramine in the presence of antidepressants such as imipramine, desipramine, fluvoxamine, fluoxetine, and paroxetine was determined by HPLC.[Results] CYP2D6.10 had higher Michaelis constants of dopamine formation than CYP2D6.1 and CYP2D6.2. Inhibition constant of imipramine and desipramine against CYP2D6.10 were higher than that against CYP2D6.1. Fluoxetine and paroxetine inhibited CYP2D6.1-mediated dopamine formation. The maximal velocity for all CYP2D6 variants gradually increased with increasing fluvoxamine concentrations. [Conclusions] CYP2D6 polymorphism might affect the inhibitory effect of antidepressants on dopamine formation in the brain.

The experiment was conducted in order to clarify influences of outdoor air supplied through openings on thermal environment in rooms heated by floor heating systems. The ari supply openings of various heights and types were used in respective experiment cases. The following results were obtained: (1) Draught Rating (DR) was increased by sypplied outdoor air in any heights of air supply openings and openings with natural ventilation systems. The DR in areas near the air supply openings were higher than DR in far area. (2) Influences of outdoor air supplied through openings in the heights of more than 1600mm above floor were small on thermal environment. (3) The air supply openings with mechanical ventilaion systems made better thermal temperature than openings with natural ventilation systems because mechanical ventilaion systems controled temperatures of supply air.

本研究では,小学1年から中学3年までの国語科教科書に収められたテキストの構成要素を分析し,学年による文章の難易尺度を検討した.学年を判定する式を構築するために,主要な国語科教科書の243テキストから,標準的な205のテキストを選んだ.そして,(1)1文の平均文字数,(2)1文の平均文節数,(3)1文の平均述語数,(4)テキスト全体の漢語の割合,(5)テキスト全体の平仮名の割合の5つを独立変数として,学年を従属変数とする重回帰分析(ステップワイズ)を行った.その結果,平仮名の割合と文の平均述語数の2つが有意な独立変数となり学年についての高い予測力を示した(R^2=0.791)ので,この2変数で学年判定式を構築した.

児童のアレルギー性疾患の有症率が全国的に上昇していることを背景に,居住環境との関連性を明らかにするために,疫学的な調査デザインを行い,全国規模の調査を実施した。その結果,(1)全国的にアレルギー性疾患の有病率は高く50%前後であり,特に,アレルギー性鼻炎の有病率が最も高いこと,(2)アレルギー性疾患の原因として花粉,ダニ,ハウスダストの割合が高いこと,(3)児童のアレルギー性症状は室内環境要因に関連があり,特に,湿気が多い状態(ダンプネス)と各症状とに有意な関連性が示され,結露やカビの発生が結果として児童のアレルギー性疾患の発症に影響している可能性があること,などがわかった。

On the basis of many human tritium metabolic data accumulated in the Intense 14MeV Neutron Source Facility OKTAVIAN of Osaka University, Japan, until now, the characteristics of the measured data have been analyzed for bioassay samples of urine, exhaled water and water distilled from urine. It has been found that the tritium concentration of exhaled water is equal to that in water distilled from urine. A new method has been developed to follow up each metabolism of two chemical forms, that is, free water tritium (FWT) and organically bound tritium (OBT) in urine. In case of repeated tritium intake, it was found that the tritium concentration could be approximated by single exponential function corresponding to the fastest excretion component for about 50 days after each intake. In this approximate method, the biological half-life of second intake exceeded compared with that of first intake. The distribution ratio of FWT and OBT components changed at the next intake compared with the previous intake. Consequently, the ratio of the OBT component increased and brought the apparent increase of the biological half-life.

Omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids is a generic term that encompasses eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), which are abundant in fish, and α-linolenic acid, which is abundant in perilla oil. These fatty acids became well known following an epidemiological study conducted in Greenland about 50 years ago. EPA formulations, with their putative prophylactic effect against cardiovascular disease, first became clinically available in the 1990s in Japan. There were reports of their association with mental health, especially depression, and from around the year 2000 several epidemiological studies and clinical trials were conducted. This article introduces the epidemiological studies and clinical trials conducted in Japan and the knowledge gained.

In order to mitigate the overcrowding problem of geosynchronous orbits, we propose a monitoring satellite placed in a sub-synchronous, retrograde circular orbit. The monitoring satellite has an on-board optical sensor, and observes look-angles of the target geosynchronous satellites that come into the field of view one after another. This kind of monitoring makes it possible to determine the orbit of every target satellite in a short term. Covariance analyses show that the target position determination can be accurate to 350m. The monitoring satellite's orbit determination will be obtained from ranging at two ground stations, with a sufficient accuracy because range biases can be estimated.
