近年、SHV(Super High Vision)の導入が映画やITの分野で急速に進んでいる。現行放送のHDと差異化を図るためのテクノロジーとしてHigh Resolution、High Frame Rate、High Dynamic Rangeが挙げられるが、中でもHDRは最もSHVの優位性を示す事が出来る技術として注目されている。ハイエンドのポスプロ設備ではいち早くHDRに対応したため、4K, 8Kコンテンツ制作を通して検証した内容を紹介する。

With flat panel detector radiography or x-ray TV systems, digital tomosynthesis (DT) has been recently introduced as limited-angle CT, which can remove overlying structures, enhance local tissue separation, and provide depth information about structures of interest by providing tomographic images of high quality. DT is advantageous in various clinical applications, including chest, head and neck, orthopedic, fluoroscopic, and mammographic studies. Specifically, compared to conventional radiography or fluoroscopy, DT can improve the detection of pulmonary nodules, the diagnosis of paranasal sinusitis, and the delineation of subtle fractures, particularly in complex anatomic structures, and gastrointestinal and breast tumors by less tissue overlap. Compared to CT, DT can reduce radiation exposure by limited sweep angle and improve the assessment of fine bony changes by better in-plane resolution and the postoperative evaluation in patients with metallic prostheses and osteosynthesis materials by less metallic artifact. DT is also useful for functional, weight-bearing and stress tests by more arbitrary patient positioning. To accomplish adequate patient management, a comprehensive understanding of the clinical utilities and limitations of those DT applications is important for the improvement of diagnostic quality, workflow, and cost-effectiveness.

<p><tt><b>EMC(電磁環境両立性)規制について現在多くの国で議論され法制化されているが,これまではさまざまな電気・電子機器に対しての影響を軽減する目的で規制がされてきた。一方,携帯電話をはじめとした電磁波を利用する製品もより身近になってきている現在,生体に対しても電磁波の影響について懸念されるようになってきた。近年,電磁波がどのように生体に作用するのか,影響の有無などについて調査,研究が進み,その因果関係が徐々に解明されつつある。こうした中,日本をはじめ世界各国でも電磁波を利用する製品に対して生体への影響を規制する規格を制定する動きがみられるようになってきた,ここでは身近に存在する電磁波を利用した製品にっいての概要と,各国の規制の動向について解 </b></tt><tt><b>説する。 </b></tt></p>

人の心の機微を描いて他の物語の追随を許さぬ名作『源氏物語』には嫉妬の感情も随所に描かれる。たとえば、女性主人公と言ってもよい紫の上は何ごとにも完璧な人物でありながら、嫉妬深いところが欠点のように描かれる。しかし実はそれこそが彼女の個性であり人間的魅力でもあるともいえる。本稿では、嫉妬せざるを得ない人々の、その嫉妬ゆえにまた悩みを重くする姿が、物語をどのように深みのあるものにしているのか、そして嫉妬の描写が人物造型にどのように関わっているかを探ってみたい。

犯罪や貧困の処遇において,監視や排除,厳罰化など,日本でもアメリカのように抑圧的な手段が強化されているといわれる.そして,このような状況に批判的な論者は,その原因として新自由主義をあげ,それへの敵対と対抗を唱えている.だがはたして,日本に新自由主義的な統治が出現しているといえるのか?本稿は1970年代以来の日本社会の構造的な変容を踏まえながら,90年代以降に起こったのは,新自由主義への統治原理の転換ではなく,日本型安定社会のたんなる崩壊だということを示す.その上で,そうした文脈にある日本の貧困や犯罪処遇の変容について,新自由主義批判を展開することは的外れであるだけでなく,看過しえない危険性をともなうことを主張する.問題は安定社会に代わる社会構想の不在なのであって,今後,社会保障や社会復帰政策を構想する上で不可欠なのは,経済的リソースの配分をめぐって国家と市場との関係性を冷静に思考することである.そのためには,小泉構造改革の誤った総括によって根づいた市場不信と,自民党の利益政治批判によって広まった政治不信をともに払拭する必要がある.

Fundamentals of the propagation characteristics of a detonation are reviewed. First, the propagation characteristics of a detonation are discussed from the one-dimensional point of view. In this discussion, the characteristics of a steadily-propagating detonation and how to determine its static parameters are elucidated. Second, the non-planarity and transverse-wave structure of an actual detonation front are discussed. The transverse waves propagating along the leading shock wave of a detonation front and colliding with each other depict a cellular pattern after the passage of the detonation. The importance of the characteristic size of this cellular pattern is emphasized introducing so-called dynamic parameters of detonations. Finally, the stability issue of the transverse-wave structure of a detonation front is touched on. This issue has been drawing the attention of many researchers for more than a decade.

Thaumatin, a sweet-tasting plant protein, elicits a sweet taste sensation at 50 nM in humans but not rodents. Although it was shown that the cysteine-rich domain (CRD) of human T1R3 (hT1R3) is important for the response to thaumatin, the amino acid residues within CRD critical for response are still unknown. A comparison of the amino acid sequence (69 amino acid residues) of CRD between hT1R3 and mouse T1R3 (mT1R3) revealed sixteen amino acids that differ. In the present study, we converted each of these sixteen amino acids in hT1R3 to their mouse counterpart and examined the response to thaumatin and sucralose using a cell-based assay. No significant decrease in the response to sucralose was seen among any of the sixteen mutants. However, five mutants (Q504K, A537T, R556P, S559P, and R560K) exhibited a significantly diminished response to thaumatin. The five critical residues involved in the response to thaumatin were dispersed in the CRD of hT1R3 and widely distributed when compared to brazzein. The unique intense sweet-taste of thaumatin might be attributed to the different receptor activation mechanism compared to the small molecule sweetener sucralose.

Through the semiotic analysis of Japanese award-winning commercials for beer and whiskey, we learn that: CMs for beer have a common theme of obtaining a "pleasant sensation" after suffering troubles in humorous and realistic setups. In the case of whiskey CMs, the "European" connotation is more important. And the brand image is distinguished clearly by realistic/non-realistic modality features. The characters of commercial films are in agreement with the target segmentation of the product. The middle-aged male plays the leading role in both genres of CM.
