難分解性の有機塩素系(POC)農薬は内分泌撹乱作用を持つと懸念されている。POC農薬の胎児期曝露が次世代の小児アレルギーリスクに与える影響を明らかにするため、2002年から2005年の期間、札幌市の一産院で妊婦514名をリクルートし、POC農薬の母体血中濃度を320名で測定した。交絡要因を調整したロジスティック回帰分析で、母体血中POC農薬と18か月の小児アレルギー発症のリスクに有意な関連は認められなかった。曝露レベルが低いため、生後の小児アレルギーに与える影響が低い可能性が示された。免疫機能が発達し、アレルギー症状の診断が明確になる学童期まで追跡調査する必要があると考えられた。

動作解析において, これまであまり考慮されてこなかった筋疲労の影響を検討するため, 従来の力学的な筋モデルと組み合わせて使用する筋疲労モデルを開発した. そのため, 運動単位に着目し, それらを活性状態, 疲労状態により四つの状態に分割し, その状態変化を微分方程式により表現した. さらに, 代謝特性や疲労耐性の違いから三つの運動単位タイプに分割し, 運動単位の動員様式にはサイズ原理を取り入れてモデル化した. モデルの妥当性を検討するため, 先行研究や動的条件の疲労実験結果との比較を行ったところ, 筋疲労の特徴が再現できることを確認した. また, 各運動単位タイプの動員タイミング, 疲労の進行など, タイプ毎の特性の違いを再現できることが分かった.

The purpose of the present study was to investigate performance during repeated cycling sprints (RCS) by surface electromyogram (SEMG) activity and sense of fatigue. Seven healthy subjects (mean ± SD,22.7 ± 3.5 years, 170.4 ± 5.7 cm, 65.4 ± 5.5 kg) performed RCS (ten I 0-sec cycling sprints)interspersedwith both 30 sec and 360 sec recovery periods. Recovery periods of 360 sec were set before the 5th and 9th sprints. Peak power output divided by body mass (PPO・BM1. ) was correlated with SEMG indices in only 2 out of 7 subjects and ratings of perceived exertion (RPE) immediately before each cycling sprint in 6 out of 7 subjects. RPE immediately before each cycling sprint was correlated with blood lactate concentration (r = 0.72: P < 0.01) and oxygen uptake (r = 0.61: P < 0.01), minute ventilation (r = 0.71: P< 0.01), and heart rate (r = 0.57: P < 0.01) immediately before each cycling sprint. These results indicate that performance during RCS was determined by not only efferent motor command from the central nervous system (CNS) to peripheral muscles but also metabolic stress in peripheral muscles. It is thought that the CNS set performance based on afferent information from peripheral muscles and organs in the subsequent exercise during RCS.

本研究では,Christoffersen et al. (2012)が扱ったダイナミック非対称tコピュラについて,Aielli (2013)のcDCCとの整合性が担保されるようにモデルを改善し,そのモデルに基づき,新興国国債市場の相互依存構造の動的特性を研究する.実証分析で焦点を当てる点は,(1)相関行列の時変性,(2)分布の裾での相互依存構造,その上下非対称性に関する有意性,(3)コピュラの違いが新興国国債ポートフォリオのパフォーマンスに与える影響,(4)高次モーメントを考慮した新興国国債ポートフォリオの構築によるパフォーマンスの改善可能性と為替変動リスクのヘッジの有無による影響,などである.これらの研究結果から,高次モーメントを考慮した為替ヘッジ付き新興国国債ポートフォリオの構築により,分布の裾や上下非対称な相互依存構造による負の影響を受けないことが明らかとなった.加えて,為替変動リスクをヘッジしない場合に比して相関が大きく低下することで高い分散投資効果を享受し,さらには,高次モーメントの踏まえた投資配分の決定により,相対的に高いパフォーマンスを得られる,という示唆を得た.

Various kinds of free fatty acid were examined on their antitumor activity against ascites tumor cells, Survival days of mice after administrations of free fatty acid were observed. From these data I.L.S. (Increase of life-span) was culcurated and used as a parameter of Antitumor activity. Effective fatty acids against Sarcoma-180 were as follows : Pentadecanoic acid in saturated fatty acid series of carbon number 6 to 24, oleic acid in mono-unsaturated fatty acid series, and α-linolenic and docosahexaenoic acids in poly-unsaturated fatty acid series.The most effective fatty acid in our antitumor activity research is (hydroxy phenyl) stearic acid.The mechanism on antitumor activity of free fatty acid is not made clear sufficiently but it was suggested that disorder of membrane caused by fatty acids is responsible for their antitumor effect.

良好な動作効率および制御性のため,電磁モータは様々な分野において用いられる。電磁モータは高速・低トルクであるため,減速機とともに利用される。一般的にロボットに用いられる減速機は減速比が固定である。しかしながら,固定減速比の減速機を用いた場合,低速および高速動作の両立が困難であるという問題が存在する。そこで本論文では,遊星歯車を用いた可変減速比機構を設計し,可変減速比を実現する制御系設計を行う。

本稿では、英語の(準)助動詞を題材にモダリティ論を展開していく。まず、第1節ではモダリティ研究の基本問題として「助動詞は単義か多義か」という問題を検討する。筆者の立場は、「理論的には単義説のほうがネイティブ・スピーカーの直観を反映しているが、英語教育の観点からは多義説の持つ意義も見逃すことはできない」というものである。次に第2節では、have to とmight as well を例にとり、擬似法助動詞と認識的モダリティの発達について論を進める。have to が認識モダリティを表すということは周知のことであるが、その日本における認知の歴史を振り返る。一方、might as well がWhen we went to the seasideon our summer holidays, it was so cold it might as well have been winter. にみられるように、認識モダリティを表し、as if に近い意味で用いられるという事実はあまり知られていないように思われる。第3節では、if 節に現れるwillを取り上げ、認識的モダリティの客観化の問題に挑む。ここでは、Leech (2004)の考えを手がかりに、「誰(話し手か聞き手か)のいつの時点での予測判断か」をベースに据え、If you'll be alone at the New Year, just let us know about it. の文もIf I will be late, I will call you. の文も統一的に説明できる意味論的な論拠を提出する。

Recently, the environmental situation in many of developing countries has deteriorated. These countries have confronted with overcrowding population, environmental degradation and poverty. In this report, we shall concentrate our attention on the environment of common pool resources (CPRs), which are characterized by non-excludability and rivalness. Some environmental issues of CPRs are mainly due to externality of CPRs. We shall prove that the environmental and population-related problem should be solved from these aspects.In this paper, we first study several factors which affect the scale of population. Next, we shall set a hypothesis concerning the familism (the family system), which affects the size of family and the scale of population significantly. Moreover, we also hypothesize the existence of an optimum family size and an optimum population determined by an optimum family size. Then we study the issues both by theoretical approach and empirical analysis. Finally, we prove some conclusions about the population size to be consistent with environmental preservation.JEL classification : Q50, Q56

[抄録]英語の形容詞と対比される日本語の形容詞(および形容動詞)の統語意味的特徴についてChomsky(2013, 2015)の標示の理論により説明を試みる。Nishiyama(1999)における日本語形容詞・形容動詞の形態統語的分析に対して批判を加え、標示の理論に基づく代案を提出する。フェイズ主要部となる範疇決定要素と語根の対併合によって前者が不可視になるというChomsky の主張を再定式化し、日本語の形容詞に適用する。これにより、主要部a が不可視となる日本語の形容詞が英語のそれと異なった振る舞いをするようになることを述べる。また、形容詞が語尾を欠く断片文から日本語の形容詞句がフェイズになることを裏付ける。

Due to the increase in a necessity, operability, and data availability, spatio-temporal analysis has been gathering popularity. However, there are few studies focusing on systematic reviews of it. This paper first shows basic concepts for spatio-temporal analysis such as geometrical representation of entities and changeability of attribute values over time. Then the paper constructs a matrix showing the characteristics of earlier studies. The matrix consists of two stages, where the first stage concerns the temporal representation and types of the entities, and the second stage concerns spatial representation, changeability of location, shapes and attribute values. The matrix helps us to understand the characteristics of the studies and uniqueness or similarity when compared to others.

In an earlier paper of this bulletin, the authors described how the thermoluminescent (TL) method may be an effective one for the dating of ancient pottery and it has an advantage over radiocarbon method. The present paper is concerned with some salient points in the development of the TL technique at our laboratory during the past 10 years. The results recently obtained from the typical potteries are shown, which contain the dating results for a series of shards from Ban-Chiang and those for a series of shards from Nara. The quartz and feldspar embedded in clay matrix have been exposed by the natural radiation since the last heating. The TL emitted from the ancient pottery is a measure of the total dose of this radiation. On the assumption that the natural dose-rate has been constant, the time elapsed since the firing of the pottery is estimated from the accumulated radiation dose and the dose per year. The TL dating used in the present investigation is the method which is known by the name of the inclusion method or the large grain method. For the estimation of the accumulated radiation dose we measured the TL of qualtz and feldspar inclusions with diameters of greater than 0.3 mm. Consequently, we could neglect the contribution from alpha particles which will only penetrate into the inclusions approximately 0.023 mm on average and are typically only from 10 to 20 % as efficient as beta or gamma radiation in the creation of TL. The environmental radiation and the radiation from the pottery itself were measured with CaSO4; Tm TL dosimeter developed by Matsushita Electric Ind. Co., Ltd.

本研究は赤外線サーモグラフィを用いた大型の構造物の効率的な非破壊検査手法の開発を目標として検討を行った。実験の結果、アクティブサーモグラフィ検査時の加熱方法としてレーザー走査加熱を利用することで、10 m遠方に位置する対象物であっても内部の欠陥検出が可能であることが確認された。また、温度データへのフーリエ変換により得られる位相画像を利用することで、欠陥検出が容易となること、および高周波数の位相画像に注目して検査を行うことで検査時間の短縮が可能であることも確認された。これらの技術を組み合わせることで、高効率かつ高精度な検査の実現が期待される。

症例1は35歳男性(国籍 : カメルーン)。1992年1月,粘血便を主訴に受診。便潜血反応陽性を認めたため,大腸内視鏡検査を施行し,上行結腸下部の粘膜に刺入した白色調の寄生虫を認めた。虫体は鉗子にて摘出し,検索の結果,鞭虫の雌成虫であった。虫体摘出後も症状持続し,メベンダゾール投与にて軽快した。症例2は29歳男性。1991年1月,2年前から持続する左側腹部痛を主訴に来院。大腸X線検査にて横行結腸にポリープを疑ったが,大腸内視鏡検査にて盲腸の粘膜に刺入した寄生虫を8匹認めた。虫体は鉗子にて摘出し,検索の結果,アニサキス幼虫であった。主訴との関連は考えにくく,緩和型大腸アニサキス症と診断した。大腸内視鏡により腸管寄生虫症を確認し摘出した症例はまれであり,本邦報告例とともに若干の考察を加え報告した。
