Based on experimental observation of liquid dripping, a method to prevent liquid adhesion at the wall of cup was proposed in this paper. When water or sauce etc. is poured from edge of a cup or a pot, the liquid adheres to the wall of cup, which often makes a table or clothes dirty. To clarify the above annoying problem, the flow dripping from the cup, whose edge was shaped to have various thin channels, was observed by using high speed camera. We found the water adhesion on cup's wall reduced when the channels were located at the outside of edge of the cup.

Among the cases under guidance for social withdrawal by the public health centers, 45% are said to have a history of past school non-attendance, and 31%, an academic standing of high school dropout. These figures imply the existence of many subjects with a history of extended non-attendance in high school, subsequent transfer or dropping out, culminating in eventual social withdrawal. To determine the process such students follow leading to social withdrawal, 116 cases of school non-attendance or dropouts with tendencies of social withdrawal among 17,211 high school students in 2004 were followed through reports from the‘yogo' or school healthcare teachers starting from when such students were attending school through August 2005. School non-attendance had been noted before entering high school in 20%, during the 1st year of high school in 51%, and the 2nd year of high school in 19%. Transfers and dropping out were most prominent in the 1st and 2nd years of high school, with the number of cases of school non-attendance, transfers, and dropouts falling in the 3rd (final) year of high school. This was taken to indicate that most such students appeared to have dropped or transferred out in the first two years of high school, with few remaining in school into the 3rd year. Interpersonal relationships were cited as the reason for school non-attendance by many, followed by familial circumstances of absence of caregivers in 33%, and excessive pressure from family in 21%. Diagnoses were established in only seven cases, but eating disorder, depression, and wrist cutting being noted at relatively high frequencies. In the first five months of 2005, 31% had dropped out, 21% had transferred, 22% were under treatment, 23% appeared to be heading toward recovery, and 4% had become fully reinstated in school. Although the course of students following transfer is unknown, given that the dropouts had for most part been non-attendant students in high school with a tendency of withdrawal, the course and prognosis of high school non-attendant students tending towards withdrawal cannot be considered good. Among the various types of school non-attendance, the apathetic non-attendance type is believed to be at high risk of non-attendance in high school, leading on to dropping out, and subsequent withdrawal from society and holing up within the home.

「身心一体科学」教育プログラムとは、自分自身の「身体性」に着目し、生命科学、脳科学などの科学的知見に基づいた「理解」、実験実習や身体運動による「実践」、結果に対する科学的手法による「評価」をサイクルとして、自身に生じた変化を「言語化」する新しい教育工学的手法である。本研究では、現在大学などで実践しているプログラムとその効果について報告し、科学的思考の醸成における「身体性」の重要性について検討する。

耳栓型,イントラコンカ型,耳覆い型の代表的な3種類のイヤホンの体温によるインピーダンス特性と外耳道伝達関数(ECTF)の周波数振幅特性の変動について検討した.その結果,インピーダンスの上昇率は3%以内であり,ECTFのSD(スペクトルひずみ)値は2.0dB以下であった.そして,このSD値と先行研究の結果を比較し,本測定で得られた装着時のECTF変動による水平面の頭外音像定位の精度に与える影響を考察した.

In order to define the architectural features of the residences of coal- mine owners at CHIKUHO, we analyzed the changes on the plans since the building of the first residence. As the subject of study, we chose the 5 residences, namely, the Former KURAUCHI RESIDENCE, the Former HORI RESIDENCE, the Former ASO RESIDENCE, the Former ITO RESIDENCE, and the Former KAIJIMA RESIDENCE. In conclusion, the following was indicated. In the site planning, there were the changes from a mass to the broader dispersion. Concerning the main entrance, the early one was contained in the main building, afterwards it was separated from the rest, and its function as the reception part was established. And the separate grand hall became a part of a bigger complex.

1905年に滋賀県近江八幡市に来たW. M. ヴォーリズ(William Merrell Vories,一柳米来留)は,日本で建築事業と宣教事業に携わった。彼は,朝鮮半島にも146の建築作品を残していることが知られているが,それは日本が朝鮮半島を植民地支配している時期の作品であった。本論文は,ヴォーリズが植民地朝鮮をどのように認識していたのかについて残された史料と朝鮮人の弟子,姜沇との関係から究明する。さらに,ヴォーリズがみた植民地朝鮮理解の現代的意味を提示する。

Knowledge of distribution and transport mechanism of melt in the Earth and planetary interiors is important for understanding formation process of stratified structure, estimation of melt fraction in partial molten region, and volatile recycling. In this article, advances in high pressure studies on melt distribution and its transport process were reviewed in terms of surface tension-driven process. Melt migration in solid media is controlled by melt connectivity. A traditional way to determine melt connectivity is determination of dihedral angle by quench experiments. Recently, in situ X-ray radiographic observation or electrical conductivity measurement are developing as effective ways to determine melt morphology. At the end of this article, an example of melt penetration experiments is reported. High pressure experiments on penetration of metallic iron alloy melt into lower mantle phases suggest absence of interaction between core and mantle by surface-tension driven penetration mechanism.
