近年、都市に人を集める産業としてプロ野球観戦が注目されており、その特性を把握することは有益であると考えられる。本研究では、福岡ソフトバンクホークス(野球チーム)の観戦者に対するアンケート調査によって、観戦者の特徴と観戦者がもたらす経済効果を分析し、以下のことが明らかになった。(1)遠方からの来場者や、1人で来た来場者は消費単価が高い。(2)試合観戦前後に、来場者は福岡ドーム(野球場)以外の場所にも立ち寄っており、都市の賑わいに貢献をしている。(3)プロ野球観戦に直接関係がない産業にも大きな需要が創出されている。(4)交通費は集客に対して大きな影響を与えている。以上より、福岡ソフトバンクホークスは都市に無視できない大きな影響を与えていることが分かった。

Photographic lenses have been manufactured for more than 100 years, and theoretical studies have also been continued throughout. Therefore, the progress was rather steady than striking. In recent years, however, some new types of the lenses have been developed, owing mainly to the use of new optical glasses and the introduction of an electronic computer to the lens design. Attempts have also been made to design lenses favorable for given camera mechanisms or properly corrected for newly developed emulsions. These trends will be discussed from the lens designer's viewpoint.

北海道日本ハムファイターズは2006年と2007年に球団初のリーグ連覇を果たした。若手主体で勝ちまくるチームは観客を呼んだ。2007年の観客動員数はパ・リーグで福岡ソフトバンクホークスに次ぐ2位。長年リーグ下位を低迷し、人気もなかったチームに何があったのか。 なりふり構わぬ資金投入で実績のある高年俸の選手をかき集めたわけではない。

We studied the effect of advising outpatients on the rational use of ophthalmic solutions and compliance by a questionnaire (n=158), in order to establish the optimal consultation method. A total of 41.8% of the patients answered the questionnaire. In compairing the actual use of ophthalmic solutions before and after consultation, the rates of rational use increased for all items except for “applications per day”, which decreased slightly from 93.4% before the consultation to 90.2% after that. In particular, “eyelid closure” and “nasolacrimal occlusion” after instillation, and “the 5 min interval of instillation in the case of plural medication”, considerably increased from 34.8% before the consultation to 60.6% after that, from 9.5% to 50.8% and from 45.9% to 73.8%, respectively. The compliance remarkably improved in glaucoma patients after consultation regarding “the 5min interval of instillation” .Based on these results, our consultation method for the rational use on ophthalmic solutions was thus evaluated. However, since some patients who still did not appreciate the need for the rational use of such medication still presented, further improvements in the consultation method requires for the rational use.

The purpose of this paper is to investigate the implication of wide reflective equilibrium (WRE) for foundationalism. On a first look Rawls and Daniels seem to propose versions of reflective equilibrium as a method of coherentism. However, the method of WRE is also compatible with modest foundationalism, and some passages of Rawls and Daniels suggest that they too allow this possibility. The version of foundationalism I endorse is a pluralist one in which not only considered judgments but also ethical principles and background theories can be included in the set of basic judgments.

本研究は、エコクリティシズムから、1850~1930年代に至る日英文学図像におけるanthropomorphic表象、特に植物や物など人間以外の存在である自然に、人間的な感覚や感情・意味を読み取り、擬人化あるいは生命を付与する表象、を文学・美術・社会・子ども観等から考察する学際研究であり、カルチュラルスタディーズである。本研究では、植物や物が、日英の子どもの挿絵と邦訳で、どのように擬人化され、変遷したのか、そこに埋め込まれたエコロジーに対する文化的意味を、創作の過程、日英の擬人化の歴史、技法から探り、西洋的価値体系における自然観と日本の自然観の位相、人間と自然の対立融合共生の位相を、検証した。
