This paper deals with Adolf Loos's alterations to Duschnitz house and Mandl house, which have been positioned in a germinal stage of the Raumplan. The purpose of this paper is to clarify developments of house-alteration by Loos on the basis of analyzing these works and show it as a process of forming the Raumplan. Therefore having an eye to fragmentization in both works, this paper makes clear various phases of fragmentization. In a word, fragmentization gradually spreads to various phases of the interior and exterior of a house and intensifies to the extent of arising conflicts between fragmentary parts.

Tan Kim Ching was a Straits Hokkien merchant in Singapore who was called &ldquo;my faithful agent&rdquo; by Siamese King Mongkut in the middle of 19th century. This article examines Tan Kim Ching's political and economic activities in relation to Siam during the reigns of Kings Mongkut and Chulalongkorn, which have not been verified by Nathawut's work in Thailand focussing on Tan Kim Ching as the Siamese consul general in Singapore. Such research in Singapore as Song Ong Siang's work also shed light on Tan Kim Ching's political, social and economic activities in Singapore and the Malay Peninsula, but there is little reference to Tan's relationship to Thailand.<br>Two points are discussed here. First, Tan Kim Ching's political roles related to Siamese Kings and their governments can be grasped not only in the official sense of a consul general and a governor of a southern Siamese province, but also in a private of King Chulalongkorn calling himself &ldquo;Your sincere friend&rdquo; of Tan Kim Ching in his correspondence. Secondly, Tan Kim Ching's exporting enterprise and rice mill in Bangkok played vital roles in the development of the Bangkok rice business. The former was a well-known exporter of the best quality rice in Bangkok, Siam No. 1 white rice, to the Singapore market, as well as a forerunner to milling white rice. His rice mill was well managed, producing high quality rice under the guidance of a Chinese rice milling expert and a trained European engineer.<br>Certainly Tan's success in the Bangkok rice business was partly due to his connection to Siamese Kings, but a more crucial factor was his strategy for exporting and milling high quality Thai rice, which was very suitable to the tastes of Chinese and European resident of Singapore, enabling him to sell at much higher prices than either Saigon or Rangoon rice.<br>Tan Kim Ching, as a Straits merchant, has often been ignored as a Chinese capitalist in the context of Thai capitalist development, although he played an important role in the development of the Bangkok rice business. In order to further the research on the development of the Thai economy and intra-Asian trade during the late 19th century, it is necessary to study vital political and business activities like those of Tan Kim Ching transcending present national borders.

本研究は、広告物の掲出が多い渋谷駅ハチ公前広場を対象に、広告物が人の視線を集めるための効果的な掲出の仕方と「賑わい・活気」を創出する広告物の集積の仕方について明らかにすることを目的とする。まず、室内でアイマークレコーダーを用いた注視実験を行い、広場空間において人の視線がどのように移行するのかを考察した。その結果、水平方向の移行に大きく依存し、水平方向の移行が大きくなるほど垂直方向の移行は小さくなることが明らかになった。次に広告物の注視率と見かけの大きさ(見かけ面積率)の関係をもとめた。この関係から大きくずれる広告物もあり、周辺の建築物や広告物との相互関係で注視率に影響がでることも明らかになった。次に印象評価実験を行い、「賑わい・活気」を創出する広告物群に含まれる広告物に関して分析を行った結果、それらの特徴として見かけ面積率が小さく同規模のものが集まっており、注視率も全体の平均値を下回るものが多いことが明らかになった。

Allergies caused by metals have been increasing. The number of patients visiting dentists with the chief complaint of metal allergy has also been increasing. From March 1994 to February 1997, 263 patients who complained of various symptoms visited our allergy clinic. Among them, 184 patients were suspected to have allergy caused by metals in dental restoration materials and were referred to the patch test. Among 165 patients', 128 were positives for metal allergy. Constituent elements of intraoral metals were analyzed in 107 of these 128 positive patients. The findings were as follows:1. The most common five elements acting on the patients were Hg, Co, Ni, Cr, and Pd.2. The most frequently used elements of dental restoration metal materials were Zn, Ag, Cu, Au, and Pd, and the alloy was Au-Ag-Pd alloy.3. The highest tendency of coincidence between allergen and intraoral metals were observed among Co-Cr-Ni alloys and Pd, Ni, and Cr elements.4. In case of palmoplantar pustulosis, allergen metals tended to be the same as intraoral metal elements.

After products have been released to markets, from marketing competitions, not only functional improvements but also cost reductions are requested in improvement designs. But many of engineers are feeling difficulties to satisfy both of them at same time. We propose a process for improvement designs to satisfy these different kinds of features by using information integration method. Information Integration method is an evaluation way which is based on concept of Shannon's information theory. In this method, different kinds of features can be compared in a common measure called “Information”. We apply this method to evaluate functions and costs in improving designs. We also propose an optimizing process for improvement design based on this method. By comparing evaluation items in this method, next target for improvement can be automatically selected without personal subjectivity. We have confirmed effectiveness of this process in a case study of electric shaver's improvement design. This study also makes up practical design processes with our previous studies “Practical Cost Reduction Methods based on TRIZ” and “Functional Improvement Methods based on Expert Engineers' Thinking Way”.

近年,知人間でコミュニティを構築するSNSが広く普及している.しかし,SNSでは,知人間のコミュニティであるという安心感から,個人情報に関する配慮が疎かになってしまい,無意識のうちに自他の個人情報を漏洩しがちな点が問題となっている.そこで,SNSの日記から無意識に記載された個人情報を抽出する研究が行われているが,単体の投稿内容にだけに着目しており,過去にコミュニティ上に投稿された全ての日記の内容を統合的に取り扱っていないため,複数の日記を考慮することで特定できる個人情報に対応できない.そこで,本研究では,あるコミュニティの全ての日記を解析し,公開されている情報を組み合わせて自他を含む個人情報の漏洩状況を分析する手法を提案し,個人情報の流出を警告することを目指す.

遺伝的形質の中には,支配する遺伝子が常染色体上に座位するものでも,表現や浸透度などに性差を表わすものがある。それらは程度の差こそあれ,従性遺伝の傾向がある。しかしながら,Snyderら^<4)>による若禿に関する有名な報告以来,従性遺伝の分析に関する報告はほとんどない。また,完全浸透と無淘汰を仮定した従来の分析法では必ずしも現実に適合せず,解析が困難な場合もある。そこで著者らは,浸透度,出生前淘汰,突然変異率,遺伝子頻度を考慮した上で,4つの従性遺伝モデル(A: 男女とも優性,B: 男で優性かつ女で劣性,C: 男で劣性かつ女で優性,D: 男女とも劣性)を仮定し,その検定法について考察した。その結果,(1)男女別発端老の両親の近親婚率,(2)両親の表現型組合せ別に,男女別発端老の男女別同胞における分離比,を推定することにより有効な検定が可能であることが示唆された。

<p>症例は37歳男性.23歳よりけいれん発作を繰り返した.35歳から難聴や歩行時のふらつきが出現し当科に入院した.近親婚の家族歴があった.低身長で,腱黄色腫はなかった.mini-mental state examinationは19点,感音性難聴,断綴性発語,嚥下障害,四肢の痙縮,小脳症状を認めた.血中と脳脊髄液中の乳酸とピルビン酸が増加していた.頭部MRIで小脳半球,脳幹,内包に対称性の病変を認めた.ミトコンドリア病を疑ったが,筋生検とミトコンドリアDNA遺伝子解析に異常なかった.血清コレスタノール高値,CYP27A1遺伝子の新規遺伝子変異(c. 43_44delGGのホモ接合体)を認め,脳腱黄色腫症と診断した.</p>
