従来から無毒蛇と分類されているヤマカガシによる咬傷でDICをきたしたが,幸いにも対症療法のみで救命しえた1例を経験したので報告する. 症例は41歳女性で,ヤマカガシに両手背をかまれ, 2時間後に出血傾向が出現,数カ所の医療機関を経由して受傷34時間後に当院受診した.患者本人に蛇についての知識があり,抗血清の投与を拒否したため抗血清療法は施行せず, DICに対してヘパリン投与などの対症療法施行し幸いにも救命した. ヤマカガシ咬傷では上顎後部のDuvernoy腺から分泌される毒が注入されることにより出血傾向が引き起こされる.本邦では北村の症例以来自験例を含めて26例の報告があり,全例に出血傾向が認められる.治療においては出血傾向のある蛇咬傷では本症を疑い抗血清投与が必要である.

This study examined the effect of sitting positions on cerebral activation for people in bed and analyzed postural significance. The subjects were 30 healthy adults. We recorded their EEGs in α and β band and performed a subjective test in supine and sitting positions with the head of the bed elevated at 30° and 80°. First, measurements were made in the supine position for 5 minutes, and the head of the bed was then elevated. Measurement continued in the sitting position for 15 minutes at 3 stages: Stages 1, 2, and 3. Using the supine position as a baseline, we compared the supine and sitting positions. We also compared the two angles, 30° and 80°. The EEG showed a significant increase at the 80° for all measured regions and intervals, and a partially significant increase was noted at 30°. Comparing the effect of different angles confirmed the significance of 80° at Stages 1 and 2. Moreover retention time of cerebral activation at 80° is longer than that at 30°. The subjective test also confirmed a higher degree of awakening in the sitting position and in a bed at 80°. Consequently, the effect of the sitting position verified cerebral activation.

This article reviews major theories and empirical findings regarding the international flows of information and culture. Specifically, it covers "gravity-integration theories, " and media/cultural imperialism theories as "grand theories, " and empirical research on the patterns and determinant factors of international flows of (news) information and (mass and quality) cultures as "middle-range theories." After reviewing many theories and introducing his own survey results, the author concludes as follows: If we see the patters of international flows of information and culture from the center-periphery viewpoint, Japan seems to belong to the "center" as far as the flows of news and popular culture are concerned, but it is still one of peripheral countries when viewed from the flows of quality (or basic) cultures.

わが国において,NPO法成立後の10年間に,「公益法人制度改革」と「寄付税制およびNPO法の改正」の2つの改革(「非営利法人制度改革」と総称)が実現した。本稿では,「非営利法人制度改革過程」のうちの「寄付税制およびNPO法の改正過程」の事例を改訂・政策の窓モデルにもとづいて分析するための準備作業を行う。具体的には,シーズのNPOWEBの直接引用を中心にして,さらに① 参加者への聴取調査結果(1次資料),② 政府税制調査会議事録,「新しい公共」円卓会議議事録,政府税制調査市民公益税制PT議事録・報告書,書籍等の2次資料が編集された。この編集結果にもとづいて,非営利法人制度改革過程の第4期と第5期にあたる「寄付税制およびNPO法の改正過程」の濃密な事例が作成される。このうち第4期は,鳩山内閣発足から「新しい公共」宣言の公表まで(2009年8月~2010年6月)であり,第5期は菅内閣発足から「寄付税制およびNPO法の改正」まで(2010年6月~2011年6月)である。なお次稿では,「非営利法人制度改革過程」に関して作成された2つの濃密な事例が,改訂・政策の窓モデルにもとづいて分析される。

Muhammad b. 'Ali b. Husayn b. Babuyah al-Qummi (d. 381/991-2), known as Ibn Babuyah or al-Shaykh al-Saduq, is the author of the Man la yahdurh al-faqih, one of the four canonical collections of Shi'ite hadith, and regarded as one of the foremost traditionists among the Twelver Shi'a. However, in the early rijal works, Ibn Babuyah had been authorized merely as “jalil”, that is, important. On the other hand, two other compillers of the four canonical collections, al-Kulayni and al-Shaykh al-Ta'ifah al-Tusi (d. 460/1067-8), enjoyed the highest esteem “thiqah” which means fully trustworthy in the transmission of hadith.To find the reason of his appparently lower evalutaion, the present study focuses on the question of ghaybah, comparing Ibn Babuyah's approach to traditions in Kamal al-din wa-tamam al-ni'mah with that of al-Shaykh al-Ta'ifah al-Tusi in Kitab al-ghaybah, who himself appreciated Ibn Babuyah “jalil” in his Fihrist.Ibn Babuyah made the best use of traditions to define, clarify and verify the twelfth Imam's ghaybah as a corporeal incident, claiming that only through ‘hearing’ traditions, the words of the Prophet and Imams, man can obtain true knowledge with the help of Divine grace.On the other hand, al-Tusi had much less confidence in traditions and made them supplementary. Following the rational method of his teachers such as al-Shaykh al-Mufid and al-Murtada, he tried to solve the problems caused by Imam's ghaybah by using mainly human reason.Considering the differece of their approaches to traditions, it can be said that the split between pre-Akhbaris and Usulis had already started since then, and that this caused the judgement of Ibn Babuyah as jalil.

From the past studies which have examined the influence of negative mood upon helping behavior, the results are inconsistent and the extent to which the result can explain are not clear.This research has focused upon the decrease of self-esteem after failure experience and examined the functional similarity between failure situateon and a helping scene that is encountered afterwards, assuming that helping depends upon its “instrumentality”in order to recover decreased self-esteem.In the first study, a helping scene was set as to search for a contact lens that a confederate assumed to lose. The recovery of self-esteem after the helping behavior was higher when preceded by a failure experience that has harmed the confederate than after a negative self-evaluation. This suggests the existence of instrumentality of help.In the second study, several helping scenes were set and the influence of failure experience upon “intention of behavior”was examined.Functional similarity between preceding failure situation and helping scene had great influence, but the “instrumentality”affected the “intention of behavior”only when the “instrumentality”was perceived over at a certain level.

人間と自然なコミュニケーションをする人工物を実現するための問題の一つとして、非言語情報などを用いて無意識に伝達している意図の自動推定がある。本研究では、意図の推定として難しい状況である「嘘」に焦点を当て、コミュニケーション中に機械的に計測された情報を判別分析した結果と、同じ状況において人間が判別した結果を比較検討した。その結果、人間と比較しても高い確率で嘘を自動的に判別できる可能性を示した。

インターネットで映像コンテンツ配信を行う IP 放送が開始されているが,その視聴料金体系や視聴料金設定に関する議論は少ない.本稿では VOD 形の IP 放送サービスにおける定額制の視聴料金について,ゲーム理論の交渉問題を用いて,IP 放送事業者の収入とユーザ便益の妥結点を求めている.具体的には,IP 放送のサービス品質として呼損率に着目し,ユーザと事業者との交渉モデルを定義し,呼損率ごとの妥結点をエージェントシミュレータにより明らかしている.

The purpose of this paper is to clarify the agricultural policy of the Ministry of Home Affairs by analyzing National Industrial Exhibitions, agricultural meetings, agricultural communications and agricultural districts. Since research up till now has concentrated on the technical aspects of the Ministry's agricultural policy, for example the introduction of western technology, the policy has received a negative evaluation. However, this evaluation is challenged by the new analysis of the institutional aspects of agricultural policy undertaken in this paper. National Industrial Exhibitions and agricultural meetings promoted domestic industry and encouraged farmers, while agricultural communications helped to set up agricultural exhibitions and spread knowledge about agriculture all over Japan. On the other hand, agricultural districts, which had been conceived as a way of encouraging agriculture, only served to define the routes followed by agricultural inspectors. In conclusion, it is clear that the negative evaluation of the Home Ministry's agricultural policy is somewhat distorted. A positive contribution was made to the development of agricultural techniques, to the growth of an agricultural information network, and to reforming the way in which farmers thought.

本邦では右側大腸憩室症が高頻度に認められるが, その成因は不明である. 著者は右側大腸憩室症の発生病態を解明する目的にて, 右側大腸憩室症患者13例と正常者10例の上行結腸に大腸内視鏡を用いて Mikro-Tip 圧力トランスデューサーを留置し, 腸管内圧を測定した. 安静時, 右側大腸憩室症群の運動指数は正常群よりも高い値を示した. Neostigmine 静注後, 両群ともにおいて高圧の波が多数出現したが, 特に憩室症群では正常群に比べよい高圧の波がより高頻度に出現し, 憩室症群の運動指数は正常群より有意に高い値であつた. また, 憩室症群のうち有症状群と無症状群の間には腸運動に差を認めなかつたが, 憩室症の無症状群の運動指数は安静時, neostigmine 刺激後のいずれにおいても正常群より有意に高値であつた. さらに, このような腸管内圧を上昇させる圧力波は segmental contractiom により発生した波であつた. これらの観察結果から, 上行結腸における腸管内圧の上昇および腸運動異常が右側大腸憩室症の発生に重要な役割を演じていると考えられる.
