This study is an attempt to develop a forecasting method of population attributes by zone in a metropolitan area. Random utility models are used to formulate each event of household related to individual's life cycle and residential relocations. As the forecasting method, a micro-simulation technique, which can chase individuals' behaviours and can provide flexible aggregation, is employed. The validity test and policy tests proved the advantages of the model, compared with existing models.

A model to forecast total demand for housing by its type is built for a metropolitan area. The model is built based on disaggregate behavioral analyses using nested logit models. The nested logit models describe locational behaviors of households, that is, choice between remaining at the present house and moving to a new house, and choice of housing type. They have enough variables to explain these locational behaviors, and the parameters are estimated with good fitness. This study also discusses the way to estimate the numbers of different types of households, which is indispensable in forecasting total demand of housing in the area. It is proved that the forecasting model based on the above mentioned approach can estimate housing demand for the period from 1975 to 1980 in Tokyo metropolitan area with good fitness.

Some parts of Japanese mega cities such as Tokyo, Nagoya and Osaka are below sea level and these areas are prone to floods. These three areas are in coastal zone and over 1000 people were sacrificed by storm surge in the past time. Inundation of underground spaces by pluvial and tsunami flood in the center of Osaka have been investigated in our previous works. Underground inundation by storm surge caused by super typhoon is discussed in this paper. The results show that 50 percent of total overflow discharge intrudes into underground spaces. Almost all amount of intruding discharge into underground mall fall down to the subway stations connected to the mall. The damage is different from the results caused by pluvial and tsunami floods. This means that administrators of underground space have to make different countermeasures for each disaster.

反転授業はアクティブ・ラーニングとしての能動性を高めるだけでなく,より深い学びを導く可能性を秘めている。本稿では,2014 年度に始めた反転授業方式による「初等情報機器活用論」の授業を通じて,反転授業の可能性について検討することとした。本研究により,完全習得型と高次能力学習型の両方の授業を取り入れることができ,アクティブ・ラーニングによる学びの質が深まることが明らかになった。

内部の論理を電気的に書替え可能なLSIであるFPGAとメモリから構成された汎用エンジンRM-V (Reconfigurable Machine-V)を対象とする,高位合成システムRMAC-V (Reconfigurable Machine Application Compiler for RM-V)を開発した。本システムでは,C言語による動作記述を入力し,RTレベルのVHDL記述を合成する。アプリケーションのメモリ・アクセスに要するクロック数を削減するために,マルチクロック・スケジューリングと行アドレスの先行入力を提案している。WTE(Wavelet Transform Engine)を用いた実験の結果,従来手法と比較して総クロック数が33%削減される効果が確認された。This paper presents a high-level synthesis system, called RMAC-V (Reconfigurable Machine Application Compiler for RM-V), for applications using SDRAMs implemented on the flexible architecture of RM-V (Reconfigurable Machine-V) combining FPGAs and memories. Given an application program written in the C language, RMAC-V produces an RT-level hardware description in VHDL. To reduce the cock counts needed to access memories, RMAC-V introduces two techniques: multi-clock scheduling and preloading row address. Experimental results on Wavelet Transform Engine (WTE) have shown 33% fewer total clock counts than those with conventional method.

As the forerunners of philosophy, we have no small numbers of semi-philosophical cosmogonies written both in verse and prose. Almost all cosmogonies in verse such as that of Hesiod and of Epimenides are composed in hexameters. While even in the age of philosophy hexameters were still influential as one of the effective means of expression, lyric meters on the other hand are scarcely found used for semi-philosophical as well as philosophical ideas. Although it has been admitted that lyric poets had perhaps so great an influence on the shaping of philosophy, it is to be noted that no philosopher set forth his thoughts with the aid of lyric meters. Alcman's cosmogony in lyric meters, viewed in this light, arouse a great deal of interest. However, serious problems, such as the fact that the cosmogonical subjects from thenceforward had not been treated in lyric meters are by no means answered here. In this article, as the first step towards solving these problems, merely some remarks on his cosmogony will be given. Though we may regard Thetis, poros and tekmor as characteristic of his cosmogony, we do not subscribe to the opinion which holds that by emphasizing Thetis' character as a craftsman too much, it is alien from the early Greek cosmogonies. It is perhaps more suitable, when considering the nature of his cosmogony, to draw a comparison with the Hesiodic cosmogony than with the Near Eastern cosmogonies. Indeed, some close parallels are found between Alcman and Hesiod: (1) The original state of the world in their cosmogonies is a confused, undifferentiated mass. (2) Thetis, poros and tekmor can be considered to make a group and have the same function, -differentiation; differentiation, however, in the same sense as the formation of Chaos implying a vast gap comes into being. τηζ θετιδοζ γενομενηζ κ. τ. λ. (vv. 15-16) is therefore equivalent to χαοζ γενετ' (v. 116). (3) The formation of Daylight, the moon and stars out of Darkness (vv. 22-27) corresponds well to that of Aither and Daylight out of Night (v. 24). From what we have seen above, we may conclude that Alcman's cosmogony follows Hesiod with considerable accuracy even after having given careful consideration to the point that while Hesiod, as G. S. Kirk (Pres. Ph.) suggests, places emphasis on the nature of the gap itself, Alcman, on the other hand, takes a vivid interest in the act of separation at the first stage in the formation of a differentiated world.

We Reported two cases of pyogenic arthritis of the knee which were obliged to undergo arthrodesis. Both cases had past histories of repeated steroid injection into the knee joints. Initially they were treated with closed irrigation-suction therapy, but did not improve at all, and finally underwent arthrodesis.Second case was a deep sepsis after total knee arthroplasty. In both cases bacterial isolation from specimens revealed pseudomonas pseudomonas aeruginosa, but bone union was obtained favorably by external fixation.
