In this study, data was obtained from a questionnaire of 354 workplace leaders and 3,116 workers at 97 workplaces in Japan's electrical and electronics industry, which was used to examine relationships among a perspective index, job satisfaction, and desire to leave one's job (i.e., turnover candidacy). Takahashi, mainly targeting white-collar workers, noted that a perspective index has a mostly linear, positive relationship with job satisfaction, and a mostly linear, negative relationship with turnover candidacy. In this study, a similar relationship is identified in leaders and workers on the shop floor (gemba in Japanese). The job satisfaction level of the gemba leaders was almost the same as that realized by Takahashi (1997), but the job satisfaction level among manufacturing workers generally tended to be higher. Moreover, turnover candidacy among manufacturing workers was lower than that realized by Takahashi (1997).

This study examines the market orientation–performance link in the context of service organizations by comparing different approaches for measuring market orientation. Focusing on 54 shops of a Japanese automobile dealership firm, this study measures market orientation through both managers' and salespersons' perceptions as well as both the MKTOR and MARKOR scales. The results of the analysis reveal that market orientation measured through salespersons' perceptions, particularly its cultural components, positively affects sales productivity. In fact, qualitative evidence suggests that salespersons' perceptions of market orientation indicate their internalization of market-oriented values, which in turn leads to continuous improvement behavior.

The strategic theory of resource-based view (RBV) put Penrose (1959) in the spotlight. The key to understanding Penrose's assertion is the concept of economies of growth independent of economies of size. According to Penrose, even when economies of size are not working, economies of growth exist regardless of size. Further, the economies of growth are temporary in nature and disappear once expansion is completed. In which managerial services are the economies of growth embodied? This paper hypothesizes that the economies of growth occur where there are unused start-up expert managerial services. Regardless of size, where these services exist, paving the company's way by step-by-step growth should produce profits.

家族の多面的リアリティに即して, 「ストレス発生の場」としての “おそろしい家族”の側面と, 「ストレス緩和の場」としての家族保健機能の両面から, さらに自分物語を構築するという上での関係性の観点から, 現代家族の意義と意味を検討した。具体的データを参照しつつこの検討を通じて, なぜ夫婦/パートナー, 家族関係が人々の間で「一番大切なもの」と意識されるのかを実利的ならびに意味的観点から論じた。私事化, 高齢社会という社会的背景を考慮すると, 夫婦/パートナー, 家族がコンボイとしてなおしばらくは中核を占めることが考察された。

This article is a meta-theoretical study of the ''public sphere" and ''Publicness" (=?ffentlichkeit) in the information age. Almost all studies of the Publicness (or. public sphere) have modernism or modernity as a context. However I suggest that,in the information age,public sphere studies must stress the context of postmodernity. As is generally known,the agenda of publicness (or public sphere),which is one of the most actual themes of the contemporary Information Society,origimates from critical theorists such as Habermas and Alento. In particular, the impact of Jurgen Habermas (the central figure of the second generation of Frankfort school) is very strong,so,studies of the public sphere are regarded as being one of the modernism theories. Since the Intemet-age has began,Postmodern theory has been important in the ''grown up" Information Society,with many potential applications of Internet-communication being indicated by postmodern theorists. The theorists have also indicated many problems in the information age,but they have not proposed any altematives. On the other hand,public sphere studies have been criticized concerning the reality of their communication theory. Perhaps this criticism of their theoretical strategy is justified. Indeed,their concept of ''communicative action" is too idealistic,so they cannot grasp the reality of media-mediate communication. However,the construction of the public sphere is an actual altemative in the information age. In this article, I try to set up a hypothesis about the relation between post-modernity concerning media-mediate communication and the public sphere, by connecting post-modern communication studies (e.g. analiysis of frendship and relationship s in youth culture studies) and info-public sphere theories.

94歳女性,アルツハイマー型認知症の末期,寝たきり,意思疎通は不可能.胃瘻からの人工的水分,栄養補給法(以下,AHN)を行っている患者の娘からAHNの中止を求められた.そこで,日本老年医学会が発行した高齢者ケアの意思決定プロセスに関するガイドライン(以下,ガイドライン)1にそって,約2カ月の時間をかけて複数医師の診察,家族,訪問看護師ステーション責任者,ケアマネージャー,訪問介護事業所責任者,訪問入浴事業所責任者,介護用具貸出事業所責任者と話し合いを重ねた末に,AHNの中止を決断した.その後患者はインフルエンザに罹患し,肺炎を併発したため,AHNは中止せずに肺炎発症から7日目に永眠した.今回の症例で,胃瘻を中止することが命を断ち切る心の葛藤に家族は悩まされることや意思疎通のできない患者の本人らしさをどのように引き出すのかの難しさをあらためて実感した.今までにガイドラインにそってプロセスをふみ,AHNの中止を検討した報告はなく,今後の課題などを考察して報告する.

本論文では,感性検索システムを効率的に設計,開発するための手法として,「感性システムモデリング」を提案する.感性検索システムとは,マルチメディアコンテンツの間の類似性や印象に関する各個人の主観的な評価に基づいて,その人に最適なコンテンツをデータベースやインターネットから検索するシステムである.我々の提案する感性システムモデリングでは,システム開発者の感性検索システムの設計を支援するために,(1) コンテンツの間の類似性や印象を各個人が知覚,解釈する過程を抽象化し,その過程を模倣した感性検索システムを設計するための図式的なモデル「感性フレームワークダイアグラム」と,(2) 感性検索システムの設計工程とその工程でのシステム開発者の作業を示したモデル「感性システムプロセスモデル」を定義した.本論文では,この感性システムモデリングを用いた感性検索システムの設計法と設計事例を示す.In this paper, we proposed a design method, KANSEI System Modelling, for KANSEI retrieval systems, which retrieve multimedia contents suitable for individual's subjective criteria about similarity or impression to multimedia contents. In the KANSEI System Modelling, we defined two methods to help a design and development of KANSEI retrieval systems for system engineers. One method is KANSEI Framework Diagram, which is a diagram to simulate and design an individual's evaluation process of similarity or impression to multimedia contents as a system process. The KANSEI Framework Diagram expresses an individual's evaluation process by abstracting it to 4 levels, which are a physical, physiological, psychological and cognitive. Second method is KANSEI System Process, which shows a design process of KANSEI retrieval systems for a prompt and smooth design. We showed a usage and sample of the KANSEI System Modelling in this paper.

Lactobacillus crispatus KT-11, which was originally isolated from the feces of healthy infants, has been reported to show multiple immunoregulatory effects. However, there have been no reports about the effect of the Lactobacillus on periodontal disease, a chronic destructive inflammatory disease of the tissues supporting the teeth. We used a model of periodontal disease in which mice were infected with Porphyromonas gingivalis. As we report here, oral ingestion of KT-11 exerted inhibitory effects on alveolar bone resorption in this model, suggesting potential preventive activity of the Lactobacillus in periodontal disease. Mice were given free access to feed containing dead Lb. crispatus KT-11 over 6 weeks, and were then orally infected with P. gingivalis 10 times for 2 weeks from 4 weeks later of Lb. crispatus KT-11 administration. The results showed a marked attenuation of alveolar bone resorption in mice that ingested the Lb. crispatus KT-11-containing feed. Induction of total IgG in plasma and total secretory IgA in saliva was observed. A specific plasma IgG antibody response to P. gingivalis also was induced. Based on the immune response to P. gingivalis infection induced by ingestion of Lb. crispatus KT-11, this study suggests that oral administration of Lb. crispatus KT-11 is effective in preventing chronic periodontitis.

近年,ビッグデータと呼ばれる大規模データから有益な情報を抽出しようとする試みが広く行われており,テキストデータの解析に関する多くの研究がなされている.本研究では,シソーラスの分類語彙表を用いて,単語の特徴ベクトルである共起行列を生成する手法を提案する.出現単語のみによる共起行列を,単語の意味を考慮した分類語に変換することにより,共起行列の次元数が増大するのを抑えることができ,単語の特徴ベクトルをより的確なベクトルとして表現できる.また,得られた共起行列から分類を行うための学習器には,アンサンブル学習の 1 つであるランダムフォレストと大規模データに対して高度な分析が可能な機械学習フレームワークである Jubatus を用いた.実験では,ニュース記事のカテゴリ分類を行い,複数の学習アルゴリズムについて検証した.

本稿では,オンライン機械学習を実現するためのミドルウェアであるJubatusのユースケースとして,不動産賃貸物件を題材とし,利用者の嗜好を反映させながら絞り込みを行い最終的に物件を推薦するサービスを開発した.このサービスでは物件の属性情報を基にMDS(多次元尺度構成法)を用いて探索空間を構築する.利用者の操作に応じ,その空間上で二分探索を基本的発想とする幾何的絞り込み,およびJubatusの分類器を利用した絞り込みを行い,探索空間を狭めていく.さらに3次のBスプラインによるcurve fittingを行い,絞り込みの収束点を予測した上で,利用者の嗜好に合致する物件一覧を提示する.

現代には過去・現在・未来を表す様々なツールやサービスがあふれているが,現代人はスケジュールに振り回され時間に管理されている.この時間に管理されるという立場ではなく,様々な出来事に対して予定を待つ喜び,思い出から懐かしさを抱いてもらえるようにする.そこで本研究では様々な面で表現・開発の自由度が高いiPhone上で,過去・現在・未来を混在させたタイムサービスを作成した.このサービスではシャボン玉の色や大きさで予定を直観的に把握できるバブル型と,今までのように入力した予定を一覧表示できるリスト型の2つのユーザインターフェースを実装している.

ハマチの燻製を製造するための前処理としての塩漬け法と塩抜き法の検討を行った。(1)ハマチを塩漬けすると部位によって吸塩量に違いが見られた。すなわち,頭部,腹部の吸塩量が少なく,尾部で多かった。(2)塩漬け中の水分は5時間までは減少するが,その後の変化はほとんど見られず,たて塩法で脱水は少なかった。(3)塩抜きした時点では,ため水法の方がわずかに多く塩が抜けた。

荒茶の微生物数を低減化させるために、4つの観点に注目して調査を実施したところ、以下の点が明らかとなった。1)生葉の洗浄によって、約50%の一般生菌数の減少が認められたが、効果的な除菌方法とは言えなかった。2)蒸熱時間を長くすることによって、荒茶の一般生菌数は減少したが、茶の品質に与える影響が大きく、適切な処理方法とは言えなかった。3)乾燥機における茶温の積算温度あるいは、最高温度と一般生菌数に比較的良い負の相関が得られたことから、乾燥機の適切な温度管理が重要であることが明らかとなった。4)製造日毎の二次汚染状況の調査において、一番茶・二番茶では、一般生菌数の多い工場があった。これは、製茶機械内部に茶葉が付着・蓄積し、そこで微生物が増殖するためと思われる。よって、日々の清掃を重視することによって、荒茶の一般生菌数が低減化することが明らかとなった。

先端技術の導入・利用を検討するために,先端技術に関する一般の人々のpublic opinionが必要とされている.しかし,先端技術は問題への対峙の仕方が難しく,public opinionの取得は困難である.そこでその問題を解決するため,直接的なインタラクションを行わないで他者の存在を提供するゆるやかなコミュニケーションを用いた新たな意見表明手法を提案する.評価実験の結果,提案手法により先端技術に関するpublic opinionが取得できる可能性が確認できた.
