シャンパーニュ製造について研修をされた筆者には,これまでに本誌でブドウ栽培やアサンブラージュについて解説をしていただいたが,今回はシャンパーニュ製造のための果汁の調製について貴重な情報を紹介していただいた。日本でも瓶内二次発酵のスパークリングワインの生産が増えているが,通常の白ワインの果汁調整とは考え方が異なることが分かり,大変興味深い。

The sire effect and the fixed effects of sex, training center, type of course, specific racetrack, horse age and track condition were evaluated regarding best racing times of thoroughbred horses. The records of best racing times at the Japan Racing Association were collected from the electronic racing book. The data set was edited so that each sire was required to have at least twenty progeny in the racing distances of 1200m and 1800m. The total numbers o f sires and progeny were 34 and 1486 for 1200m and 34 and 1520 for 1800m. First, the least-squares analysis of variance was carried out by using the linear model which included the sire effect and the six fixed effects. Second, heritabilities for best racing times were calculated, and additionally sire evaluations were carried out by using the sire model of the BLUP method. As a result of analysis of variance, almost all effects included in the linear model were significant for both racing distances. The sire, type of course, horse age and interaction between the type of course and track condition had a highly significant effect on best racing times. Estimates of heritability were 0.11 and 0.09 for 1200 m and 1800 m, respectively. Rankings of sires' breeding values based on progeny records were quite different for the two racing distances. The Spearman rank correlation coefficient for these rankings was 0.350 (P<0.05).

本研究は,東京大学社会科学研究所が実施する「東大社研・若年パネル調査(JLPS-Y)」と「東大社研・壮年パネル調査(JLPS-M)」の2007年から2013年のデータを用いて,子どもの性別が親の政策支持や価値観に与える影響について分析を行った.分析の主な結果は以下のとおりである.娘のみを持つ親は,両方の性別の子どもを持つ親もしくは子どものいない人よりも女性の自立を支持するような考えを持つことや性別役割意識に否定的になることが確認された.また,娘のみを持つ父親は両方の性別を持つ父親や子どものいない男性よりも,日本の防衛力や日米安保の強化を支持することが明らかになった.一方,息子のみを持つ母親は,両方の性別の子どもを持つ母親や子どものいない女性よりも雇用政策や学歴といった将来の職や雇用に関わる項目を重要視することが確認された.

喘息発作の重症度を的確に判断して治療を開始する.最初に短時間作用性β2-刺激薬を反復吸入させる.発作の初期に全身性ステロイド薬の投与は症状の速やかな回復を促進するのに役立つ.アミノフィリンの点滴静注の併用は追加効果を期待できず副作用の危険性が増加するので推奨できない.患者が低酸素であれば酸素を投与する.治療効果のモニターとして,主観的な症状だけではなく,客観的な指標である呼吸機能(ピークフローや一秒量),酸素飽和度,動脈血ガスの測定を考慮する.

This paper proposes a brush-cutting robot which can cut high weeds and grass automatically by hand-held brush-cutter sold in hardware store. The robot vehicle is constructed with a center articulated body, a manipulating mechanism of the brush-cutter, motor controller and sensors for self-localization. In order to get its own position continuously, two Laser Range Finders (LRF), a GPS campus and odometry encoder for each wheel are installed. Authors proposed Sensor Steering Mechanism (SSM) for the lateral guided vehicle with steering mechanism. This robot is applied SSM for the center articulated body to follow the way point line on the 2-D map. The map for self-localization is constructed with a 0.1m by 0.1m grid that is measured by the 3-D LRF. The experimental set up was developed and installed in the control program and then autonomous mowing was tested, leading to the results of running and mowing in the quadrangle of the No. 4 building of science and engineering at National Defense Academy. As a result, the proposed system achieved an error of 0.2m or less for the way point line following performance. The developed brush-cutting robot successfully completed the work without untreated area by providing an appropriate overlap by the result.

近年,日本を含むアジア諸国では降雨に起因する斜面崩壊に伴う土砂災害の発生頻度が増加しつつある。本研究では,風化花崗岩における斜面崩壊事例が多いことを考慮し,既往の文献に基づき,花崗岩の風化特性に関する知見をレビューするとともに,その知見に基づきタイ・プーケットの風化花崗岩切土斜面における安定性評価について考察を加えた。この結果として,風化花崗岩からなる地盤において比較的急傾斜の切土斜面を構築した場合には,風化により斜面表面から比較的浅い領域に存在する細粒分が卓越する層(比較的低透水性領域)に浸透水が貯留され,それに伴うせん断強さの低下により浅層崩壊を引き起こす可能性があることを明らかにした。また,この知見を反映した調査事項に関する提言も示した。

The wavelength range of the near infrared (NIR) light is called `water window.' The superficial vascular imaging system using near infrared light sources was developed as those using both the reflected light and transmitted light. An NIR-sensitive CCD camera was surrounded by approximately sixty light emitting diodes (LEDs) , which have alternating wavelengths of 700 (visible light) , 760, 810 and 940nm, respectively. The camera detected the reflected NIR from superficial subcutaneous tissues at the palm and back of hands, and the wrist. Differences between wavelengths were significantly observed. Images taken at 940 nm the most clearly showed the vascular vessels at insides of these regions. As an application of the NIR imaging system, we examined whether the system was the beneficial tool for finding superficial subcutaneous foreign bodies or not. Twelve light sources of 940 nm LEDs were aligned for the transmission imaging. The alien substance examined was a mechanical pencil lead with 0.5 mm diameter. Chicken and pork meats (approx. 1 to 10 mm in thickness) were used instead of human skin. The thickness and fat contents were affected on the detection. As results, the NIR imaging was thought to be the beneficial tool for finding subcutaneous alien substances detection.

本稿では,諸外国において,幼児教育・保育政策に関して,特に経済的な観点から,近年どのようなことが議論され,具体的にどのような施策が講じられているのかを紹介し,日本の幼児教育・保育政策の今後のあり方について考える。諸外国では幼児教育・保育政策が,女子差別撤廃条約や児童の権利条約など,女性や子どもの人権に関する国際的な議論を受けて見直されていることに加え,少子高齢化に伴う労働力不足に対して,女性労働力の活用が求められていること,社会保障費用の負担増に対して,子どもの貧困や教育格差が問題視されていること,就学後の教育の効率性を決めるのは就学前の教育にあるという研究成果が注目されていることなどから,経済成長戦略の一環としても注目を集めている。 具体的な改革として,幼児教育・保育政策を救貧的な福祉制度体系から,人的投資を意識した教育制度体系に位置づける国が増えているほか,保育の質を高めることにも力を入れる傾向にある。公的投資の効果を意識した様々な工夫も見られ,保護者が自ら共同運営する施設や祖父母が保育する方式を積極的に活用したり,家庭や地域に対する働きかけを重視したり,保護者の労働時間短縮を進める動きなどが見られる。日本で目下検討されている幼保一体化を含む「子ども・子育て新システム」についても,人道的観点に加え,経済成長戦略の一環としての検討を加えることが期待される。

副腎偶発腫の多くは非機能性副腎腺腫であるが,20~30%にホルモン産生腫瘍や悪性腫瘍が含まれるので,画像検査と内分泌検査が必要である.わが国の疫学データでは腫瘍径が3cm以上のものは副腎癌のスクリーニングをすべきとしている.サブクリニカルクッシング症候群(SCS)は2型糖尿病や高血圧,骨粗鬆症の病因ないし増悪因子となる例があるので,手術対象症例の適切な判定が今後必要になると考えられる.

Objectives: This study aimed to examine the potential effects of perceived organizational support (POS) and psychological capital (PsyCap) on combating depressive and anxious symptoms among Chinese underground coal miners. Methods: A cross-sectional survey was conducted in a coal-mining population in northeast China. The Center for Epidemiologic Studies Depression (CES-D) Scale, the Zung Self-Rating Anxiety Scale (SAS), the Survey of Perceived Organizational Support (SPOS) scale and the Psychological Capital Questionnaire (PCQ), which measure depressive and anxious symptoms, POS and PsyCap were distributed to 2,500 underground coal miners (1,925 effective respondents). Hierarchical linear regression was performed to examine the associations of POS and PsyCap (self-efficacy, hope, resilience and optimism) with depressive and anxious symptoms and the moderating roles of PsyCap and its components. The mediating roles of PsyCap and its components were examined using asymptotic and resampling strategies. Results: The mean levels of depressive and anxious symptoms were 19.91 and 49.69, respectively. POS, PsyCap, hope, resilience, optimism and POS × PsyCap were negatively associated with depressive symptoms. POS, PsyCap, resilience, POS × PsyCap and POS × resilience were negatively associated with anxious symptoms. PsyCap, hope, resilience and optimism partially mediated the association between POS and depressive symptoms. PsyCap and resilience partially mediated the association between POS and anxious symptoms. Conclusions: POS, PsyCap, hope, resilience and optimism could be effective resources for reducing depressive and anxious symptoms. PsyCap, hope, resilience and optimism act as moderators and mediators in the associations of POS with depressive and anxious symptoms. Managers should promote supportive settings and investment in PsyCap to improve workers' mental health.(J Occup Health 2015; 57: 58–68)

フライ調理食品やスナック菓子等の多孔性食品はそれぞれに独特のテクスチャーを持ち,そのテクスチャーが食品のおいしさを決定する重要な因子ともなっている.客観的なテクスチャー評価方法の確立を目的として,音響解析技術及び咀嚼圧力測定技術を用いた評価法の検討を行い,次の結果を得た.(1) フライ調理食品の破砕音及び咀嚼骨導音の測定方法を開発し,咀嚼圧力の測定方法を検証した.(2) 代表的なフライ調理食品のコロッケに関して,サクサク感における音刺激の重要性を示し,破砕音,咀嚼骨導音の音響解析データから,サクサク感と相関の高い数値指標を導出した.(3) コロッケの冷凍保存日数によるテクスチャーの違いやフライ油脂の種類によるテクスチャー劣化の差異を音響解析指標及び咀嚼圧力で説明した.以上,フライ調理食品のテクスチャーが「音」と「咀嚼圧力」により評価可能である事が示された.

The clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic repeats (CRISPR)/CRISPR-associated protein (Cas) 9 system is now widely used as a genome editing tool. CRISPR-associated endonuclease in Prevotella and Francisella 1 (Cpf1) is a recently discovered Cas endonuclease that is designable and highly specific with efficiencies comparable to those of Cas9. Here we generated the adenovirus (Ad) vector carrying an Acidaminococcus sp. Cpf1 (AsCpf1) expression cassette (Ad-AsCpf1) for the first time. Ad-AsCpf1 was applied to primary human hepatocytes prepared from humanized mice with chimeric liver in combination with the Ad vector expressing the guide RNA (gRNA) directed to the Adeno-associated virus integration site 1 (AAVS1) region. The mutation rates were estimated by T7 endonuclease I assay around 12% of insertion/deletion (indel). Furthermore, the transduced human hepatocytes were viable (ca. 60%) at two weeks post transduction. These observations suggest that the Ad vector-mediated delivery of the CRISPR/AsCpf1 system provides a useful tool for genome manipulation of human hepatocytes.
