加齢に伴い赤血球諸値の低下をみるが, 高齢者では貧血の定義を男女一律にヘモグロビン濃度11g/dl以下とするのが実際的である. 高齢者では, 自覚症状に乏しかったり貧血らしからぬ症状を呈することも多い. 貧血の原因としては, 消化管出血による鉄欠乏性貧血, 慢性炎症に伴う二次性貧血, 腎性貧血などが多く骨髄異形成症候群も重要である. 貧血の治療は原因療法が基本だが, 輸血療法を行う場合は心不全の予防などの配慮を要する.

The middle class who has risen by the Industrial Revolution became a new bearer of theater culture in Britain of the second half in the Victorian Age. Although they have little cultural knowledge, new amusement was required for them who want imitation of high society, and the Savoy opera won popularity as a genre which suited their hobby. The most successful work is the "Mikado" which made fi ctitious Japan the stage. As The japonaiserie showed a wide spread those days, and as the Japanese village was opened in relation to it , they are said that it has infl uenced greatly to the idea of the dramatist W. S. Gilbert. But the charm of the "mikado" which was proud of explosive popularity is not simply an absurd thing. The image of the "Japanese" with whom the spectator was restrictively acquainted by a Japanese entertainer's appearance, and the image and the story of the familiar anecdote which British people know well. We should not reappraise as a form of the new performing arts which the skill as a dramatist of Gilbert who created the reality in "the country which is not anywhere", "Never-never-land", and the skill as a new role, "drama director".

原子力事故後の緊急作業等によって高線量の放射線被ばくを受けた場合には、個人データに基づく線量評価が必要となる。本研究では、甲状腺へ局所的な内部被ばくをもたらすI-131を対象として、人体を再現したボクセルファントムを使用した数値計算により、甲状腺前面の組織厚を考慮した甲状腺残留量の評価を可能とした。また、安定ヨウ素剤服用時の体内動態解析コードを開発し、個人の摂取シナリオを考慮した甲状腺線量の評価を可能とした。これらの手法について、福島第一原子力発電所事故への適用例を示し、有用性を確認した。本研究の成果は、I-131による高線量内部被ばく時の線量再構築に役立つものと期待される。

This paper investigates the effectiveness of a cognitive linguistic approach to teaching countable and uncountable English nouns to Japanese learners of English in a classroom setting. For this study, a new teaching method and a worksheet were carefully developed for use in classroom teaching at junior and senior high school levels. Our first study investigated whether the cognitive approach led to significant gains in learning and showed that the students successfully learned the differences between countable and uncountable English nouns through a new teaching method based on the theory of Cognitive Linguistics. A second study was conducted to determine whether the new method was applicable from the teacher's point of view. This new approach was introduced to junior and senior high school teachers during a teacher-training course required for the renewal of a teaching license, and all the teachers who participated in the course were confident that they could teach countable and uncountable nouns without difficulties using this new teaching approach. Based on the results of these two studies, this paper argues that the cognitive linguistic approach to teaching countable and uncountable English nouns is more effective than traditional approaches and that the new approach is practical for administering to junior and senior high school students in Japan.

本稿は、これまであまり研究課題として取り上げられてこなかった宗教集団からの脱会について、ものみの塔聖書冊子協会からの脱会者39名を事例として分析した実証的研究である。特に本稿では、当教団の信者を親にもつ二世信者の脱会にみられる問題に焦点を当てている。本稿では、当教団が、信者にとって脱会が多くの困難や抵抗を生じさせる特徴を持つ教団であると考える。脱会の問題を考える手がかりとして、本稿では組織的離脱と認知的離脱が生じるプロセス、また脱会後に必要となる「社会的リアリティの再定義」の達成に焦点を当てる。このとき、認知的離脱と「社会的リアリティの再定義」の要件として、教団外情報の入手と教団外との人間関係の形成に着目して分析した。事例分析の結果として、一世信者と二世信者ではそれぞれ必要とされる情報や人間関係の性質が異なっていることが示された。

A new technique for the formation of the TiN/TiSi<SUB>2</SUB> bilayer using a TiN<SUB>x</SUB> layer was described. The TiN<SUB>x</SUB> layer was deposited by sputtering in a mixed gas atmosphere of argon and nitrogen, wherein the concentration of nitrogen was controlled to be lower than that required in the formation of stoichiometric TiN. The nitrogen atoms in the Ti matrix relaxed the mechanical stress of the deposited film and also limited the number of Ti atoms available for the interaction with the Si substrate (i.e., silicidation reaction). Upon thermal annealing, TiN<SUB>x</SUB> changed to the bilayer structure of TiN/TiSi<SUB>2</SUB>, in which the thickness of the overlying TiN was so great that only a rather thin TiSi<SUB>2</SUB> was formed between TiN and the Si substrate. Moreover, TiN had the (111) texture, and TiSi<SUB>2</SUB> formed on the (100)Si substrate was found to show well-aligned epitaxial properties with an extremely uniform thickness.

癌組織・鉄(Fe-C鋼)などの鉱物組織・高分子化合物のように、組織構成が全体の性質を決めることはよく見られる。組織の状態判別は、観察者の主観に任せられているのが現実である。判定結果は観察者の技量に大きく左右されるため、客観的な数値に置き換える手段が必要とされている。今回、組織判別に対して位相幾何学的な判定手法を用いたアルゴリズムを提案した。これは「組織構成要素の肥大による位相幾何学的性質の変化」を単純化された画像から読み取る、という原理であるが、組織形成の仕組みが同じような構造物は他にも多くある。それらにこの判定法を適用したが、非常によい結果が得られた。
