Background: Identifying which exposures cause disease and quantifying their impacts is essential in promoting and monitoring public health. When multiple exposures are involved, measuring individual contributions becomes challenging.Methods: The authors propose a disease attribution method based on aggregate data or summary statistics of individual-level data, possibly from multiple data sources.Results: Using the proposed method, the burden of disease is apportioned to the independent and interaction effects of each of its major risk factors and all the other factors as a whole. This scheme guarantees that 100% is the total share of the burden.Conclusion: The calculation is simple and straightforward; therefore, it is recommended for use in studies on disease burden.

In recent years, it is important to grasp the economic value evaluation of the waterfront space created by public works. This study aimed to understand the value consciousness and economic value evaluation of waterfront space creat ed, and to clarify the relevance of the value consciousness and the economic value evaluation. The subject of this study is the waterfront space of Horikawa River that has been created by the waterfront environmental improvement project of Kyoto city. A questionnaire survey was conducted for neighboring residents of Horikawa River and using the CVM to grasp the economic value evaluation of Horikawa River. From the survey results, the value consciousness of the subject was conducted the quantification theory class Ⅲ and cluster analysis and classified from the evaluation trend into two groups. As a result, two groups trend to evaluate the value consciousness of landscape elements and space utilization. Also a result of the factor ana lysis, four value consciousness, history and culture, community space of the region, trees, river flow has been found to be associated with the economic value evaluation, especially community space of the region suggested strong correlation coefficient.

This paper aims to deepen our understanding of motivation for sports activities and to clarify its management measures. For that purpose, I have reviewed the literature and previous studies that focus on motivation and proceeded with consideration. The results can be summarized from three perspectives.1. Motivation toward sports activities influences the direction, aggressiveness, and persistence of behavior toward sports activities. Motivation is important in the sense that it involves processes such as effort, task performance, reward acquisition, and activity satisfaction.2. Motivation research can be divided into two types: the one that focuses on the content and selection of motivation, and the other that focuses on the mechanism by which motivation arises. Many research results have been accumulated in both psychology and business administration, but supplementary examinations and verifications targeting sports activities are still insufficient.3. In order to draw out motivation, it is necessary to consider environmental factor maintenance for the target. The focus is on the content of the activity and the control of the people and organizations surrounding the subject. At present, abstract methodologies have been presented, but systematic and concrete arrangements are required.Looking forward to future research based on these results, issues from two perspectives are presented. The first is that interdisciplinary efforts will progress in this area in the future and that opinions will be unified. The other is to try to use a method that differs from statistical analysis based on questionnaire surveys in motivation research. On the other hand, in order to ensure the results of research, it is important to have predecessors’ follow-up tests and re-verifications.

本研究では創造的思考に着目し, 新しい発想を生み出そうとする場合の香りの効果を検討した。実験では創造性検査の一種である用途テストを用い, 「カンヅメのあきカン」の使い方を自由発想で20分間記述させた。用途テスト開始12分後にローズマリー, ペパーミント, オレンジ (以上香り呈示群), 香りなし (統制群) のいずれかを呈示した。回答は, 分類基準に従い, カンヅメのあきカンのもつ容器的使途と類似性の高い発想-Tタイプ-と, 類似性が低く独創的な発想-Hタイプ-の2種類のカテゴリーに分け, 各カテゴリーにおける香り呈示前後の回答数の変化を求めた。香り呈示群と統制群の回答数の変化を比較した結果, Tタイプでは, 香り呈示群と統制群との間に差はみられなかった。一方, Hタイプでは, ローズマリーとペパーミント呈示群は統制群と比較し回答数が有意に増加し, オレンジ呈示群では有意差はなかった。このことより, ローズマリーやペパーミントの香りに独創的な発想を促す効果がみられることが示唆された。さらに, 創造的態度得点の低い人がローズマリーやペパーミントの香りを嗅ぐと, より一層この効果が高くなる傾向がみられた。

脳出血特に慢性期に関して現在有効な治療法は存在せず、多くの患者が麻痺を抱えて生活している。幹細胞はこの麻痺を改善させうる治療法として期待されているがその機序は不明な点が多い。今回の研究では脳出血慢性期の運動機能障害に対する幹細胞の機能改善に関する作用機序を解明することを目的としている。脳出血慢性期モデル動物の作成、最適な細胞のコンディション、投与された幹細胞の分化・栄養分泌機序、脳内ネットワークの改善効果を調べる。

全身性エリテマトーデス(systemic lupus erythematosus:SLE)は自己抗体の産生,免疫複合体の沈着により腎臓,脳等多彩な臓器を傷害する代表的な自己免疫性疾患のひとつである.グルココルチコイドや免疫抑制薬の使用により生命予後は改善されたが,グルココルチコイドの副作用によりSLE患者の生活の質が低下することが問題視されている.2019年,我が国でSLE診療ガイドラインが作成され,SLEの治療目標は,健常者と何もかわらない社会的活動を行える状態を維持すること,つまり「社会的寛解の維持」と定義された.近年,シクロホスファミドに加え,ヒドロキシクロロキン,ミコフェノール酸モフェチル,ベリムマブ等の新たな薬剤が使用できるようになった.これに伴いSLEの疾患活動性を低下させるだけでなく,グルココルチコイドのさらなる減量,中止が可能となってきている.新たな薬剤の開発も進んでおり,SLE患者の予後ならびに生活の質のさらなる改善が期待される.

メトトレキサート関連リンパ増殖性疾患(methotrexate-associated lymphoproliferative disorders, MTX-LPD)はWHO分類2017ではother iatrogenic immunodeficiency-associated lymphoproliferative disordersに属する病態であり,少量MTX投与下の自己免疫性疾患に出現する。日本人に好発し,約2/3の患者においてMTX中止後LPDが消退する。様々なLPD亜型の出現を認め,亜型によりLPD消退率,再燃・再発率,予後などが異なる。末梢血リンパ球絶対数(absolute lymphocyte count, ALC)のLPD発症,消退,再燃・再発への関与が示唆されている。その発症,臨床経過には極めて多岐にわたる因子が関与していると考えられ,その解析には注意を要する。

経済時系列は 決定論的カオスであるか 確率過程であるのか 進化的過程であるのかという3つの立場から説明されている.本論ではTOPIXといくつかのモデルを相関次元分析によって比較し 経済時系列が持つ特徴を明らかにする.高次元への埋め込みを行い TOPIXは確率論と決定論の両義的性質を持つ事を示す.

本稿の目的は、測定の技術をめぐるジョン・デューイの洞察を手がかりに、そこで個性概念がどのようにとらえられているのかを明らかにすることである。デューイにおいて、個性と測定の技術とのかかわりは、知能テスト批判を契機として1920年代に問われ、産業化社会や物理学の発展等の社会状況を背景に1930年代を通じて考察が深められた。その際、個性概念の内実が多元性を有するものから予測されえなさの源へと変化したことが明らかとなった。

音楽を聴きながら,電車に乗りながら等,我々は背景に無関連な音が提示されている中で読書をする場合がある。本研究は,このような背景音の種類によって小説の読解成績がどのように異なるのかを検討することを目的としたものである。24名の参加者に,歌詞あり音楽,歌詞なし音楽,歌詞朗読,無音の4条件の背景音提示下で小説から抜粋した300字程度の文章を読ませ,主観的な理解度の評定と内容の要約,登場人物についての記述の作成を求めた。その結果,歌詞朗読条件の主観的理解度や文章要約の質が,他の3条件のものより低いことが明らかとなった。登場人物の記述の成績は条件間で差がなかった。さらに,読解活動中の参加者の視線を計測して分析したところ,歌詞朗読条件の読解中の注視時間と注視回数が他の3条件よりも多いことが示された。以上の結果から,小説の読解時には音楽にのせていない意味のある音声の提示が読解を妨害することが考えられた。

For effective language education, analysis of the content, order, and amount of material contained in the teaching materials is very important. Having a detailed and quantitative grasp of these, and going on to work out an educational sequence that is based on these data is not only vital for the beginning teacher, but also useful for the more experienced one. In our research, we have made a database of textbooks, and are creating a matrix of teaching items by analyzing their content quantitatively by order, quantity, amount, and how items of each level relate to each other. We then attempt to specify where a learner of Japanese stands at present, and what he should be taught next. In the present paper, we take up the basic thinking of our research, and an analysis of the kanji.

Wempe, Hiroshi Ikegami, Shin Wakui(Fundamental Toxicological Sciences, 4, 85-93, 2017) I have retracted the above paper as Editor-in-Chief of Fundamental Toxicological Sciences since I have serious concerns about it, primarily due to inappropriate authorship on a non-negligible scale.Since the possibility of inappropriate authorship in this paper was raised, I contacted the co-authors to confirm this point. I found out that several of them considered their listing as co-authors to be inappropriate. In addition, more than half of the co-authors agreed to the retraction of this paper.These facts raise concerns about the paper. From the standpoint of maintaining the integrity of the research community, I felt that such a paper should be retracted at once.Accordingly, I sent a summary of my concerns about this paper to the corresponding author, Dr. Shin Wakui. I also had an online interview with him to discuss this matter. I told Dr. Wakui that inappropriate authorship on a non-negligible scale is a serious problem that raises concerns about the paper.I prepared a draft of this Editor’s Announcement and sent it to Dr. Wakui for review prior to revision and release.
