1月9日、岩手県北上市の伊藤彬市長はデリア食品(東京都府中市)の副島洋社長と市南部の工業団地の入居協定を結んだ。同社はキユーピーの子会社で、コンビニエンスストアや外食産業向けにサラダや煮物を作っている。 北上市は東北縦貫自動車道と東北横断自動車道秋田線が交差する交通の要所。仙台市や秋田市など東北地方の大消費地へのアクセスは抜群だ。

Many types of humanoid robots have been developed recently, and they are mainly designed for social interaction with human beings. The most communicative partners for human beings are other humans. Therefore, to develop successful communicative robots, it is important to know how closely they resemble a human. In the present study, we attempted to evaluate the human likeness of a humanoid robot (Robovie) by using near-infrared spectroscopy (NIRS). Since activity of the human mirror neuron system (MNS) is thought to reflect the perceived human likeness of observed agents,we compared MNS activity during observations of an action performed by a human and the robot. Seven male and ten female participants were included in the study, and eventually, fourteen of them were analyzed. NIRS probes were placed at the bilateral premotor and primary motor areas, which are components of the MNS. Under observation conditions, stimuli were presented live or on a video monitor; there were four observation conditions, namely, live-human, live-robot, video-human, and video-robot. After the observation conditions, the participants executed the same action performed by the human agent in the observation conditions by themselves (execution condition). We identified the NIRS channels in which significant activation was induced under both the observation and execution conditions, and used this information to determine the possible regions reflecting MNS activity. We found no significant effect of the agent (human/robot) on MNS activity, and this indicated that MNS response in the motorrelated area is relatively analogous irrespective of the agent (human/robot). However,the effect of the mode of presentation (live/video) was found in a few channels. Two channels corresponding to the left ventral premotor cortex were activated more strongly in the live condition than in the video condition, particularly when the agent was the human. In contrast, one channel corresponding to the right primary motor cortex was activated more strongly in the video condition than in the live condition only when the agent was the robot. These findings suggest that live presentation of action is necessary to reveal true brain activity in actual situations.

我々はパーキンソン病やアルツハイマー病を含む8つの神経変性疾患患者156例を対象に血清インスリン様成長因子(IGF-1)値と臨床症候との関連を調査した.結果,各疾患において血清IGF-1値に有意差はみられなかった.パーキンソン病患者では血清IGF-1値は年齢および日常生活動作の障害と負の相関を示し,線条体におけるドパミントランスポータースキャンの集積および前頭葉機能と正の相関を示した.またアルツハイマー病患者では血清IGF-1値は年齢,罹病期間,日常生活動作の障害と負の相関を示した.本研究により神経変性疾患における血清IGF-1値の測定が疾患進行の評価に有用である可能性が示唆された.

近年若者を中心に急速に広がりをみせている大麻濃縮物は、従来の大麻よりもΔ9-テトラヒドロカンナビノール(Δ9-THC)の含有量が多く、さらにΔ8-THCの含有も確認されている。これらの含有量を明らかにすることは、今後予想される様々な人体への影響、違法な流通ルートを把握するため重要となる。従来のクロマトグラフによる定量では、純度既知の標準品や検量線が必要なため操作が煩雑であったが、本研究では、標準品や検量線の必要がなく純度分析に適した核磁気共鳴装置を大麻濃縮物中のΔ9-THC及びΔ8-THCの定量に適用し、迅速かつ正確な定量法の開発を目指す。

「文献にみる牛肉料理について」により,南蛮系料理として黄飯・なんばんれうりarros com vacca,くじいとcozido,ひかどpicado,オランダ系料理の牛かんfrikkadel,卓袱料理コヲル,南瓜料理などに牛肉が入れられたことを文献等で示した。その中で,牛肉などを煮る鍋物料理として「くじいと」に注目する。くじいと(くしいと)はポルトガル語ではコジートcozido,スペイン語でコシードcocidoとされ,茹でる・煮る意味である。コシードは,セルバンテスの「才智あふるる郷士ドン・キホーテ・デ・ラ・マンチャ(会田訳)」の冒頭に「名は思いだしたくないが,ラ・マンチャのさる村に,さほど前のことでもない,槍掛けに槍,古びた楯,痩せ馬に,足早の猟犬をそろえた,型のごときひとりの郷士が住んでいた。昼は羊肉よりも牛肉を余分につかった煮込み,たいがいの晩は昼の残り肉に玉ねぎを刻みこんだからしあえ」とあり,「羊肉より牛肉を余分につかった煮込み(鍋); Una olla de algo mas vaca que carnero」のオジャolla(深鍋)は,後にコシードcocido(茹でる・煮るの意味)となり,料理道具ollaから料理法cocidoに変わったとされる。当時は羊肉が高価で,農耕等で使役した年老いた牛の肉を食べていたと言うことで,ドン・キホーテは貧しかったとされる。コシード(コジート)は,最初に,肉などの煮込み部分(西洋風おでんと称される)を食べ,残った煮汁にパスタを入れて食べられることもある。なお,オジャollaは日本の鍋料理の締めのおじや(雑炊)になったとの俗説があり,以下の状況により一概に俗説とばかりは決めつけられない。このコシードが南蛮から伝えられ,日本料理化したものがくしいと(くじいと)であると推定される。

緊迫化する地方自治体の財政への対応として,限られた財源を有効に活用するために,施策成果をより正確に分析し,見直していくEBPM(客観的証拠に基づく政策立案)の推進が求められてきた.しかしながら,現在多くの地域では施策の効果検証や分析まで人手が回らず,また外部委託が必要でお金と時間が足りないなどの課題を抱えており,本格導入には至っていない.そうした状況を打破すべく,国内最大規模の広告位置情報ビッグデータを活用して観光拠点単位で人流の検出と集計を担う政策立案評価システムを開発,自治体職員がコロナ禍の人流抑制などを即時かつ安価に把握で環境を整えることで観光分野におけるEBPMの推進を目指す取り組みを紹介する.

この研究は1987 年から2009 年の23 年間に7 回の調査を実施し,その内の3 調査年次の資料を用いて解析した.第1 報では項目別に具体的に検討したが,第2 報は,同じような項目を次元としてまとめ,各次元別に平均得点を計算して統合的に,現代看護学生の特徴を浮き彫りにすることを試みた.この20 年余りの間には,1987 年頃のバブル経済全盛期,2000 年のバブル経済崩壊後の低成長安定期及び2009 年のリーマン・ショック後の世界金融危機及び新型インフルエンザの世界的な流行等,目まぐるしく社会は変化した.その時代背景が学生たちの生活実態や人間関係,学習態度等にも影響を及ぼしていることが考えられる.今回の解析結果から,過去の看護学生に比べて現代の看護学生の特徴をまとめると,「清潔習慣」及び「保健生活」の次元得点は向上を認めたが,「あいさつ」及び「社交性」の次元得点は低下し,人との関係性は希薄化している実態がうかがわれた.また,人への慈愛,面倒見の良さの「優しさ」は過去も現在も高い値を示した.

原発被災地域である福島県南相馬市小高区の中心部であるまちなかを対象に、被災地の再生という観点から被災後も価値をもつ交流の場としての側面に着目し、被災から8年の小高区まちなかにおける新たな交流空間の設置経緯、特徴、利用状況を調査した。立地や外部空間、所有や管理、利用の状況といった特徴から、交流空間の効果として避難指示下の町でも人が集まる空間を作り交流を創出したこと、その後も地域に人を呼び込む仕掛けとなったことなどが考えられる。原発被災地域のまちなかにおける交流空間の意義には、人の活動の可視化、避難指示下であってもまちを訪れる人としての人間関係の構築、様々な人が地域に関わりを持つ契機をつくることが挙げられる。

著者らは沖縄県で約300年間食されている褐藻類の1種のナガコンブから複数のフコイダンを分離し,それらの化学特性を調べた.ナガコンブから0.1mol/L塩酸で多糖を抽出し,塩化セチルピリジニウムで部分精製を行った.得られた部分精製多糖を陰イオン交換クロマトグラフィーで分画し,4つの画分(LA-1, LA-2, LA-3およびLA-4)を得た.LA-1, LA-2, LA-3およびLA-4の化学組成比には差異が認められたが,いずれの画分もL-フコースおよび硫酸を有していた.LA-1, LA-2, LA-3およびLA-4の分子量はそれぞれ27.7×10<SUP>4</SUP>, 1.0×10<SUP>4</SUP>, 0.8×10<SUP>4</SUP>および1.9×10<SUP>4</SUP>であった.主要な画分であるLA-2とその脱硫酸化物の<SUP>1</SUP>H-NMRスペクトルを解析した結果,(1→3)-結合α-L-フコピラノシル残基を主鎖とし,主鎖の一部のα-L-フコピラノシル残基のC2位に(1→2)-α-L-フコピラノシル残基が結合し,さらにこれらのα-L-フコピラノシル基のC4位が硫酸化されている構造が示唆された.画分LA-3とLA-4はフコイダンとガラクタン硫酸が混在したものであることが分かった.

Carbon-nanotube yarn (CNT-Y) made from high-purity, highly crystalized, double-walled carbon nanotubes is an advanced material with excellent electrical conductivity and flexibility; hence, it could potentially be used as a novel electrode for biopotential measurements. To our knowledge, the present study is the first in which CNT-Y electrodes were used to conduct electrocardiography (ECG) and electroencephalography (EEG) on experimental animals. All procedures and biopotential measurements were performed under isoflurane anesthesia. The CNT-Y electrodes were attached to the animals by creating a single interrupting suture on the skin. The lead II electrode configuration was used for ECG recording, i.e., the positive, negative, and body-earth electrodes were placed on the left apex of the auricular surface, the interscapular region, and the cervical region, respectively. The bipolar lead was used for EEG recording, with the exploring and reference electrodes on the bregma and base of the right auricular surface, respectively. Using CNT-Y electrodes, we obtained a clear ECG waveform from rats and a guinea pig; the QRS amplitude was ~1.4 mV. In rats, we obtained an EEG waveform with an amplitude of ~150 µV; the peak frequency was 0.8 Hz and the range was ~3 Hz according to power spectral density analysis. In the guinea pig, we obtained an EEG waveform with an amplitude of ~500 µV; the first peak was 0.1 Hz, the second peak was 1 Hz, and the range was ~3 Hz. These results show that CNT-Y could be used in toxicology studies to easily and inexpensively obtain high-resolution biological signals.

日本の津波伝承において、津波碑は古くから広く使われてきた伝承手段である。本研究では、南海地震津波被災地域の事例を用いて、津波伝承における津波碑が人々の災害前の防災意識に与える影響について考察した。文献をもとにした調査やアンケート調査を通じて、津波碑は強力な情報源としての役割はなく、また人々の具体的で直接的な行動の喚起には繋がりにくいことが分かった。このことから、津波碑は具体的なメッセージを伝える手段としては限界があると考えられる。一方で、即地性が高く永続性のある記録の手段として有効であり、視覚的効果に伴う防災意識の啓発には一定の効果があると考えられる。以上より、「記録」と「啓発」の点に関して人々の防災意識に影響を持つと考えられる。

This is a tentative study of Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings in comparison with Sir Gawain and the Green Knight, in particular of the heroes' missions. Both heroes, Frodo and Gawain, take a toilsome journey to accomplish their mission, and are wounded on the last stage of their tasks. A furthur study of the journey reveals that LOTR is a Catholic fantasy although this is never manifest verbally, and Naomi Lewis says that one can read through the book without noticing that the author is a Catholic. The unexpected call of Frodo to destroy the Ring, his incurable wounds, the role of the wicked creature Gollum in the hero's task, and many other events in the story can be classified as 'the inversion of the norma'. This stems from the Christian view of life, and from this point alone can be explained the mystery of Frodo's vocation. While SGGK was written against a background of a strong Christian ethic in society, LOTR is a product of an increasingly non-Christian society and this explains the essential differences between these two works of apparent resemblances.
