Birds of a number of species have died as a result of lead (Pb) poisoning, including many Steller’s sea eagles (Haliaeetus pelagicus) and white-tailed sea eagles (Haliaeetus albicilla) in Hokkaido, the northernmost island of Japan. To address this issue, the use of any type of Pb ammunition for hunting of large animals was prohibited in Hokkaido in 2004. However, Pb poisoning is still being reported in this area, and there are few regulations regarding the use of Pb ammunition in other parts of Japan, where it has been reported that eagles and water birds have been exposed to Pb. This study was performed to accurately determine the current level of Pb exposure of birds found dead in the field or dead in the wild bird centers in Japan (June 2015–May 2018) and to identify the sources of Pb. Pb exposure was found to still be occurring in raptors and water birds in various parts of Japan. Twenty-six point five % and 5.9% of the recorded deaths of Steller’s sea eagles and white-tailed sea eagles, respectively, were found to have been poisoned by Pb. In addition, Pb isotope ratio analysis showed that both Pb rifle bullets and Pb shot pellets cause Pb exposure in birds, and these endangered eagles are also exposed to Pb in Hokkaido due to the illegal use of Pb ammunition. Changing to Pb-free ammunition, such as copper (Cu) rifle bullets, steel shot pellets, or bismuth shot pellets, will be essential for the conservation of avian species in Japan.

中国では近年巨額コストをかけた映画やハリウッド映画の人気を集め,低コスト作品や地方制作の映画がヒットすることが難しい情況にあった。そんななか2002年,地方の映画制作所で制作された低コスト作品の映画『暖春』が異例のヒットを飛ばした。映画『暖春』は最初制作された山西省で都市部のみならず,山西の貧困地区でも人気を博した。そのため『暖春』の人気は口コミで広がり,山西省のみならず北京や上海,香港などの大都市でも成功をおさめ,わずか200万元の制作費に対して,1,500万元の興行収入をあげ,"暖春現象"と呼称される現象にまでなった。 本稿ではこの『暖春』現象を通して,中国における映画市場の現状について概観するとともに,『暖春』の成功の要因を分析した。 『暖春』は山西と思しきある貧困農家に少女が拾われたことで繰り広げられる人情ドラマである。"暖春現象"にまで昇華したのは,フィルム・コピー数が異例の560強を数え,また制作費に対しての利益率の高さによる。同時期に公開された映画『英雄(ヒーロー)』の興行収入と中国では公開劇場数が多かった『ロード・オブ・ザ・リング/王の帰還』のフィルム・コピー数の2つの側面から比較して見ると,『暖春』のヒットは二級市場におけるヒットであることが分かる。この点から中国の映画市場の二分化がより明確になり,『暖春』現象が「二級」市場として歯牙にもかけられなかったマーケットの新たな市場性を示唆したことが明らかとなった。 『暖春』は「泣ける」映画として人気を博したが,驚異的な興行収入をあげた『英雄』の存在がこのヒットと関連していると考えられる。まずは『英雄』を凌駕したという話題性に加え,『英雄』などの娯楽大作に対して,徹底した人情ドラマを分かりやすい手法で表現したことがあげられる。次に山西という特異な地域で制作,公開されたことによる。山西は中国において貧困地域であり,映画のなかで描かれた農村における理想像は,自分たちの貧困からの脱出への活路を示していた。主人公たちの苦しく貧しい生活を自分たちの現実に投影しながらも,教育を受けて大学に進学し,かつ卒業後に村へ戻って村に貢献するという理想的な姿を示したことで,多くの貧困地域の観客を惹きつけた。 全国でヒットした背景にはさらに主人公小花を演じた張妍のけなげな演技がある。小花の姿はあたかも「おしん」のようであり,ここから『おしん』型のヒットと言うこともできる。 以上のように,『暖春』現象から中国における映画市場の二分化の現状が明確になり,『暖春』現象が示唆した新たな市場が中国映画界にとって新たな命題となったことが分かる。そして山西という特異な地域であったからこそ『暖春』が受け入れられ,全国に波及し『暖春』現象にまで昇華されていったのである。

This research examines the relationship between target costing and profit management. Target costing is very closely linked with a company’s long-term profit and product planning. Target costing is a comprehensive strategic profit management system. To accomplish this research, we chose to analyze the case of Fanuc. Target costing is introduced as a technique that aims to manage product costs throughout the design stage. Since a large portion of costs are incurred in the design stage, manufacturers are advised to focus on the design process to lower the costs. When manufacturers need to focus on the profitability of products, ROS(Return on Sales) provides a better measure. The desired profit is determined on the basis of the company’ s desired ROS. ROS includes break-even point ratio. Therefore, we divide total costs into variable costs and fixed costs. In Fanuc,“Weniger Teile”(which means to reduce component parts) is a tool for reducing variable costs. The ratio of variable costs is 50% and the ratio of fixed costs is 15%. Fanuc sets 35% for ROS and 30% as its break-even point ratio. Thus, the second set of ratios should be realized if one to accomplish the first set. Fanuc succeeds in combining target costing with profit management.

キク科のキッコウハグマは花冠をもち開花して他家受粉を行う開放花と、開花せずに蕾の状態で自家受粉を行う閉鎖花の形態の異なる2種類の花を秋のほぼ同時期につける。東京都八王子市廿里町の多摩森林科学園において、2014 年度~2015 年度の2年間にわたりキッコウハグマの生育過程や2 形の花の形成特性について個体標識を行うことで調べた。キッコウハグマの葉は根生葉状であり、茎を伸ばして花をつけること、茎は5 cm 程度の短いものから35 cm と長いものまで変異が大きいことが明らかになった。開放花のみをつける茎、開放花と閉鎖花の両方をつける茎、および閉鎖花のみの茎の3 種類が見られた。開放花をつけた茎は長さが5 cm~15 cm と比較的短く、一方、それより長い茎には主に閉鎖花が見られた。さらに、開放花と閉鎖花の両方が見られた茎では、開放花は茎の下部に、閉鎖花は上部に位置することが明らかになった。花全体の頭花数においては、開放花は閉鎖花の1 割程度と少数であり、さらに結実の割合も開放花では低く、キッコウハグマはその繁殖の大部分を閉鎖花に依存していると考えられる。

Bibliotheken im Allgemein haben bei der Bildung einer „Öffentlichkeit“ im Sinne Habermas ’ wichtige Funktionen, indem sie nicht nur mit ihrem Bestand die Lektüre aller Teile der Gesellschaft fördern, sondern auch Bücher empfehlen, die Bibliothekare für lesenswert halten. So regte z. B. Gotthold Ephraim Lessing, der Dichter und Denker der Aufklärung und Anwalt religiöser Toleranz, eine öffentliche Diskussion gegen orthdoxe Theologie an, indem er als Leiter der Herzog August Bibliothek (HAB) in Wolfenbüttel einen kosmopolitischen und religiös liberalen Bestand bildete und in der Zeitschrift dieser Bibliothek einen antiorthodoxen Aufsatz des aufklärerischen Philosophen Hermann Sammuel Reimarus mit dem Titel „Fragmente eines Ungenannten“ veröffentlichte. In der Zeit des Nationalsozialismus jedoch wurden die Bibliotheken in Deutschland gleichgeschaltet: Die beiden Berufsverbände der Bibliothekare, nämlich der wissenschaftliche Verein der Deutschen Bibliothekare (VDB) und der öffentliche Verband Deutscher Volksbibliothekare (VDV) , wurden in die Reichsschrifttumskammer des NS-Regimes eingegliedert und Bücher, die auf der „Liste des schädlichen und unerwünschten Schrifttums“ standen, wurden sekretiert. Welche Rolle konnte dann eine Institution wie die „Lessing-Bibliothek“ während des Nationalsozialismus einnehmen oder auch nicht einnehmen, um eine alternative, tolerantere Öffentlichkeit zu erzeugen? Prof. Dr. Wilhelm Herse, der Direktor der HAB in der NS-Zeit, war einerseits der NSDAP „durchaus wohl gesonnen“. Andererseits sei jedoch „von irgendwelchen das damals übliche Maß überschreitenden politischen Aktionen in der Bibliothek“ nichts bekannt. Es sind sogar zwei Fälle bekannt, die wenigstens scheinbar gegen das NS-Regime wirkten: Ca. 600 alte Drucke in hebräischer Sprache entzog Herse dem nationalsozialistischen Zugriff, indem er ihre Existenz verschwieg. Und er berichtete, dass die in der Bibliothek vorhandene marxistische Literatur „nicht umfangreich“ sei, was den Tatsachen nicht entsprach. Inwieweit sein Verhalten als eine Art Widerstand oder Widerspenstigkeit zu betrachten ist, entzieht sich der Nachprüfbarkeit. Während die bisherige Forschung darin keinen politisch motivierten Widerstandsakt sieht, könnte man daraus wenigstens eine leise Dissonanz zwischen dem NS-Regime und der Bibliothek unter Leitung von Herse heraushören. Um diese Hypothese zu klären, sollen hier Herses wissenschaftliche Arbeiten analysiert werden. In seinen sieben Essays über Lessing, die im Lessing-Jahr 1929 und kurz danach geschrieben wurden, erwähnt Herse die Freundschaft zwischen Lessing und Mendelssohn objektiv, schätzt Nathan den Weisen hoch ein und argumentiert sogar gegen das damals oft propagierte Lessing-Bild als Befreier vom französischen Einfluss; er behauptet vielmehr, dass Lessing den französischen Aufklärer Voltaire für „recht gut!“ hielt. In seinen in der NS-Zeit veröffentlichten nationalistisch gesinnten Reden und Essays erwies er sich dagegen zwar als dem Nationalsozialismus „durchaus wohl gesonnen“: In einer Rede über Friedrich Schiller zitierte er dessen Ausspruch „göttlich muss eine Lehre sein, für die so freudig gestorben werden kann“; in einem Essay über Wilhelm Raabe begrüßte er mit dem Zitat „Deutschland, großes Vaterland“ aus Der Chronik der Sperlingsgasse den Anschluss Österreichs an das Deutsche Reich, und in einem Artikel „Was ist des Deutschen Vaterland?“ schätzte er sogar die „Rückkehr“ des Sudetenlands ins Deutsche Reich positiv ein. Nach dem Krieg dann schreibt Herse wieder einen Essay über Lessing, in dem er Lessings Liebe zur englischen Literatur schildert. (View PDF for the rest of the abstract.)

存在論的、郵便的 前回予告したように、今回は「否定神学」がなぜ批判され、衰退していったかについて検討してみたいと思います。 何度か触れてきたように、この衰退においてもっとも大きな影響をもたらしたのが、哲学者で批評家の東浩紀の存在でした。1998年、東は弱冠28歳でデビュー作『存在論的、郵便的』*1を出版します。本書のインパクトは非常に大きいものでした。私が知る限り、東より下の世代の思想家、批評家のほとんどが、心酔するにせよ反発するにせよ本書の大きな影響下にあります。

わが国では, 大豆は煮豆, 納豆, きな粉, 豆腐, また味噌, 醤油など発酵食品として広く利用され, 畑の肉といわれるほど, 蛋白質に富み, 栄養的にも優れた重要な食品である.近年は, 栄養だけではなく, 生活習慣病の増加にともない, 大豆の体調調整機能が大きくクローズァッされている。かねて, 食品中の蛋白質の生理機能の研究に従事され, 味噌の高血圧防止効果はACE阻害ペプチド “セリルトリプトファン” によることなどを発見され, 大豆の生理機能に関する最前線の研究をまとめた “ダイズのヘルシーテクノロジー” の編者でもある著者に, 発酵食品を中心に大豆の健康機能性について詳細に解説していただいた。

The purpose of this study was to quantify the contribution of the whole-body joint torques to the generation of evaluation values during baseball batting motion, such as bat head speed and angular motion of the lower trunk in consideration of the joint torque generating mode. The whole-body segments and bat were modeled as a system of sixteen-rigid linked segments, and constraint axes of the elbow, wrist, knee and ankle joints were modeled with anatomical constraint equations in order to consider the degree of freedom (DOF) of the joint. Each hand was considered to be connected with the bat through zero DOF joint. The equation of motion with respect to the whole-body and bat was obtained by considering modelling errors, such as, residual joint force and moment, and fluctuation of segment's length. The dynamic contributions of the joint moments, motion dependent term and gravity term to the bat head speed and angular motion of the lower trunk were derived from the equation of motion for the system. Furthermore, the joint torque was divided into two components, such as eccentric torque component, which shows negative sign of its torque power, and concentric torque component, which shows positive sign of its torque power. The results obtained in this study showed that 1) motion dependent term was the great contributor to the generation of bat head speed and 2) major contributors to the generation of the bat head speed, such as concentric components of knob-side shoulder abduction torque and torso joint rotational torque were quantified by considering main generating factor of motion dependent term.

この研究の目的は,運動中において腹式呼吸による呼吸コントロールの有効性を明らかにすることである.対象は12名の健常男性とし,運動負荷は自転車エルゴメーターを用いて,Ramp負荷法によって最大酸素摂取量(maximum oxygen intake:Vo2max)の80%(80%Vo2max)まで施行した.実験条件は呼吸コントロールを行わない場合と,運動開始時から腹式呼吸を用いて呼吸コントロールを行った場合の2条件とした.呼吸代謝測定は呼気ガス分析器を用いて分時換気量(minute ventilation:VE)や体重あたりの酸素摂取量(oxygen intake/body weight:Vo2/BW),一回換気量(tidal volume:TV),呼吸数(respiratory rate:RR),心拍数(heart rate:HR)などの換気パラメータを測定した.その結果,運動中における腹式呼吸の効果としてVE減少やTV増加,RR減少が確認できた.また80%Vo2maxの運動負荷中において,運動初期にVEをはじめRR,HRの項目にCentral command説によると考えられる一時的な変化がみられた.運動時間70%以降の運動後半において,腹式呼吸によってVo2/BW増加とVE/Vo2減少という影響が出現していた.またV-slope法による無酸素性作業閾値(anaerobic threshold:AT)ポイントも,腹式呼吸により有意に高値を示しており,有酸素系エネルギーの供給が高められると考えらえた.

I will show how we can frame temporal dimensions of our environments for our appreciation. In contrast to artworks, environments are changing all the time. There is no frame with which to define what is the specific object of appreciation in environments which surround us, and which extend without limit. We have to create our own frames by ourselves. The question is how we frame temporal changes of environments. First, I will classify the changes in two groups: macro- and micro- temporal change. We cannot directly perceive the former, but can with the latter. Although we can perceive micro changes, it is difficult to appreciate them because they are so ordinary for us that we usually do not pay any attention to them. Second, I will introduce Arnold Berleant's "aesthetics of engagement" to clarify the mechanism of framing these micro changes. Engagement is a kind of aesthetic attitude for appreciating perceptual environmental experiences which consisted of cumulative micro changes. Third, I will elaborate on the role of our activity in framing micro changes. I will distinguish our activities in environments into two levels, and show how aesthetic engagement is related to each level.
