本稿では,終助詞「もの」について,多くの先行研究や日本語教育での導入における意味・用法の記述(主に正当化や言い訳に用い,主に若い女性や子供が用いる)の妥当性を母語話者の使用実態を基に検証し,その本質的意味を考える。また,非母語話者の使用実態を調査し,コミュニケーション上の問題点を考察する。結果は次の4点である。1.「正当化・言い訳」用法は使用が少なく,理解・同意を提示/要求する用法や例などを示し理解を促す用法の使用が多い。2.性別・年齢差による使用の偏り(主に若い女性が使用)は各用法においてない。3.意味は「先行発話/事態の正当性を示す根拠を強い気持ちで提示する」ことを表す。4.非母語話者は上級者であっても使用が少なく,理解・同意を提示する用法の不使用がコミュニケーション上の問題点となりうる。以上の結果から,日本語教育では頻度・有用性ともに高い,理解・同意を提示する用法での導入を提案する。

Zinc is an essential nutrient with important biological functions, and its deficiency can lead to several diseases. The zinc transporter families, ZIP and ZNT, play essential roles in regulating zinc homeostasis and dynamics in the body and cells. Specifically, ZIP4 is the primary zinc transporter responsible for zinc absorption in the small intestine. Previous studies have shown that Panax ginseng (P. ginseng) extract can promote mouse Zip4 expression, and ginsenosides, including Rc and Re, enhance zinc uptake. However, the effects of other metabolites present in P. ginseng extract remain unclear. Therefore, we fractionated P. ginseng extract using chloroform, ethyl acetate, and n-butyl alcohol, and evaluated the effect of each fraction on zinc uptake using mouse Hepa and Hepa/MRE-Luc cells that stably expressed luciferase under the promoter of metal-responsive elements. Luciferase activity assays demonstrated that the chloroform (F1), ethyl acetate (F2), and n-butyl alcohol (F3) fractions increased cellular zinc uptake. In particular, F1 fraction was found to induce Zip4 mRNA and protein expressions, which significantly enhanced zinc uptake. Ginsenosides were mainly present in the F2 and F3 fractions, indicating that metabolites other than ginsenosides in the F1 fraction would enhance zinc uptake by inducing Zip4 mRNA and protein expressions. Our study offers novel insights into the molecular mechanisms underlying zinc uptake by P. ginseng.

本稿の目的は,親子関係の出生コーホート間比較を行うことにより,戦後行われてきた二つの双系化仮説—仮説1「直系家族制の解体により,長男との同居パターンが消失すると同時に,親子間の援助における長男と他の子との差異,息子と娘との差異がなくなる」と仮説2「直系家族制の解体により,同居における長男優先のパターンが消失するとともに,抑制されていた娘や妻方親類との援助がより活発に行われるようになる」—を検証し,戦後の親子・親族関係の基本構造と変化のトレンドを明らかにすることである。「戦後日本の家族の歩み」調査(NFRJ-S01)のデータを用いて分析を行ったところ,夫方同居率の低下がみられるものの,長男同居のパターンの存続とともに,妻方援助の存在と顕在化の傾向があることが確認された。今日においても直系家族制と双系的な親類関係が共存していることは,仮説1の反証であるとともに仮説2の修正を要請するものである。

Impaired reperfusion in ischemic brain disease is a condition that we are increasingly confronted with owing to recent advances in reperfusion therapy. In the present study, rat models of reperfusion were investigated to determine the causes of acute seizures using magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and histopathological specimens. Rat models of bilateral common carotid artery ligation followed by reperfusion and complete occlusion were created. We compared the incidence of seizures, mortality within 24 h, MRI, and magnetic resonance spectroscopy (MRS) to evaluate ischemic or hemorrhagic changes and metabolites in the brain parenchyma. In addition, the histopathological specimens were compared with those observed on MRI. In multivariate analysis, the predictive factors of mortality were seizure (odds ratios (OR), 106.572), reperfusion or occlusion (OR, 0.056), and the apparent diffusion coefficient value of the striatum (OR, 0.396). The predictive factors of a convulsive seizure were reperfusion or occlusion (OR, 0.007) and the number of round-shaped hyposignals (RHS) on susceptibility-weighted imaging (SWI) (OR, 2.072). The incidence of convulsive seizures was significantly correlated with the number of RHS in the reperfusion model. RHS on SWI was confirmed pathologically as microbleeds in the extravasation of the brain parenchyma and was distributed around the hippocampus and cingulum bundle. MRS analysis showed that the N-acetyl aspartate level was significantly lower in the reperfusion group than in the occlusion group. In the reperfusion model, RHS on SWI was a risk factor for convulsive seizures. The location of the RHS also influenced the incidence of convulsive seizures.

Mucous-retention cysts such as mucocele and ranula are caused by mucus extravasation due to rupture of ducts of the major and minor salivary glands. While several techniques have been used to treat retention cysts, micro-marsupialization is a relatively new, less invasive treatment modality. We describe this new method, which is not popular in Japan, and report the clinical outcomes of 13 cases of mucoceles and ranulas treated with this technique.We evaluated the therapeutic value of micro-marsupialization on the basis of cure rate and events such as infection and recurrence. As a result, ten cases (76.9%) showed complete remission of the lesions and three cases including one case of infection required retreatment.Micro-marsupialization seems to be a simple, minimally invasive and effective modality, and is well tolerated by patients. We accordingly suggest that it could be a primary treatment of choice for mucous retention cysts.

失音楽症の自験2例に対し音楽能力の検査を行い,音楽認知の脳内機構について考察した.症例1は70歳代の女性.両側側頭葉前部の梗塞により,和音弁別の障害と童謡の歌唱の際の旋律の入れ替わり(錯メロディ,paramelodia)を呈した.楽曲の和声分析の結果から,歌唱の際にヒトは先行する4小節もしくは1フレーズの和声進行をもとに,続くメロディを記憶から想起していることが示唆された.症例2は60歳代,男性.両側側頭葉の梗塞の結果,広義の聴覚性失認と表出性失音楽を生じた.音楽の受容系と表出系との離断(伝導性失音楽,conduction amusia)のために歌唱の調節が出来なくなったと思われた.過去の失音楽症例のレビューでは,音楽認知の責任病巣として右側頭葉の皮質・皮質下があげられている.今後は,脳賦活化実験の結果との照合・統合をさらに進めていく必要がある.

This paper explores the housing conditions of single people in Japan with particular reference to cross-national comparison. Marital status has played a key role in differentiating housing opportunities, disadvantaging non-married people. This has been more notable for Japan than for European countries. In Japan where the housing policy system has explicitly been focused on encouraging family households to acquire their own homes, many single people have lived in parental homes with limited housing choice.

この研究では足指機能を定量的に測定する評価機器(足指把握力測定機器・足指運動機能測定機器)を開発し,測定機器の再現性を検討した。また,高齢者168名を対象として足指機能と身体運動能力(握力,膝伸展筋力,10m歩行時間,静止立位時の足圧中心動揺,動的バランス)との関連性を検討した。さらに転倒予防としての足指トレーニングの有用性を検討した。評価機器の再現性は同一被験者(n = 27名)に日時を変えて測定を2回行い,検討した。168名を過去の転倒既往より転倒群と非転倒群に分け足指把握力・足指運動機能の比較検討を行った。さらに転倒予防としての足指トレーニングの妥当性を検討するためにトレーニング群(n = 23名)とコントロール群(n = 15名)に分け効果の比較検討を行った。トレーニング群は足指機能訓練機器【くりりん君】を用い,8週間のトレーニングを実施した。結果は以下の通りであった。1)我々が作製した足指把握力測定機器・足指運動機能測定機器は再現性が高く足指機能を客観的に評価する信頼性のある測定機器である。2)転倒群では非転倒群と比較して足指把握力が有意に劣っていた。3)足指把握力は,握力,足指運動機能,膝伸展筋力,動的バランス,10m歩行時間との相関が認められた。足指運動機能では握力,足指把握力,動的バランス,膝伸展筋力,10m歩行時間との相関が認められた。4)訓練群では動的バランス,膝伸展筋力の向上が認められたが,コントロール群では認められなかった。足指機能は身体運動機能や転倒との関連性から重要な機能である。また,足指機能訓練は自主訓練として簡単に取り組め,転倒予防として有効なトレーニンクであることが示峻された。

2005年1月から2006年1月にかけて, 渡良瀬川水系の水田周辺にある排水路において, カラドジョウとドジョウの出現様式と食性を調査した。調査期間中に採集されたカラドジョウは171個体 (体長27~115mm) , ドジョウは3023個体 (体長25~149mm) であった。カラドジョウは7月にだけ出現したのに対し, ドジョウは調査期間を通じて出現した。カラドジョウとドジョウの共存時期において, 両種の主要な餌はともにカイミジンコ類, 水生昆虫の幼虫, ホウネンエビであった。どちらの種でも体長30mm未満ではカイミジンコ類を食べていたが, 体長30mm以上になると水生昆虫の幼虫やホウネンエビなども食べるようになった。同じ体長階級ごとに胃内容物組成についてSchoenerの重複度指数を算出したところ, 0.69~0.90の高い値が示され, 両種が同所的に出現したときの餌資源分割が明瞭ではないことがわかった。

This paper explores the potential of female female impersonation by examiningthe nature of gender performativity as not necessarily being interlocked with gendercrossing. This issue is studied in light of the desire for gender identification by femme lesbians, particularly high femmes.Since the 1990s, there has been increasing attention on the subversive potential ofgender crossing subject in both queer theory and post-structuralist feminist theory. However, femme lesbians have not only tended to be overlooked in this regard, but rendered "invisible" due to the fact that they "look straight."This paper examines how high femmes do not try to resolve this conflict but in factmaintain it, while still holding onto their "fem(me)ininity" in their strong desire for gender identification. The issue is explored through a study of high femme narratives and considered in light of Kaja Silverman's concept of "identity-at-a-distance."
