Mamakodate is a Japanese traditional game. It was already known in early Kamakura period. The rule is similar to that of the problem of Josephus in the Western sphere, but there are some characteristic properties not common in the western culture. Because of the difference of the rules, Mamakodate has some superficially probabilistic feature compared to Josephus' problem, which is a simple deterministic game. This paper examines these features of Mamakodate in the light of cultural history of mathematics.

医療従事者 (看護婦) 10人について, 速乾性擦式アルコール手指消毒剤を用いた5つの手指消毒方法を比較検討した. すなわち, 0.2% (w/v) 塩化ベンザルコニウム含有83% (v/v) エタノール製剤 (ウエルパス®) 3mlを手指にとり積極的に指先と指間を消毒する3ml推奨法, ウエルパス® 3mlを足踏み式ディスペンサーで噴霧式により手指にとり擦り込む日常行っている3ml噴霧法, ウエルパス®をハンディボトルにより1mを噴霧式で手指にとり擦り込む日常の1ml噴霧法, 0.2% (w/v) グルコン酸クロルヘキシジン含有83% (v/v) エタノール製剤 (ヒビスコール®) の専用電動噴霧消毒器 (1回3.2ml) より手指にとり擦り込む日常の自動噴霧法, 日本薬局方消毒用エタノール専用噴霧消毒器 (1回0.8~0.9ml) より手指にとり擦り込む日常のアルコール法の指先・指間の消毒効果を比較した.消毒後, 指先, 指間とも推奨法は他の方法と比較し生残菌数は低値を示し, 有意な差が認められた (Mann-Whitney U検定, p<0.01).さらに消毒後の菌数を各指で比較すると, 3ml噴霧法を除いて母指が最大で, 1ml噴霧法の母指と小指およびアルコール法の母指と示指および小指で有意の差があった (Mann-Whitney U検定, 各p<0.05およびp<0.01).以上より, アルコール手指消毒において十分な薬液量を使用し, 推奨法のように手指全体に薬液が行き渡るように注意を払い, 指先と指間を念入りにラビングする方法が有効であることが示唆された.

ニホンジカが高密度に棲息する奈良公園において、移動式シカ柵を用いてシバ地の生産量を推定した。5 基の柵を2007年4月から翌年4月まで設置し、1ヶ月間隔で移動し、柵内の10 cm四方の区画それぞれ3カ所から伸張した植物を採取し、乾燥重量を計量した。冬期間の生産量はなく、春には急激に増加し、秋まで安定して生産され、年間に2,895 kg/haとなり、この量は奈良公園と同様に高密度に棲息する宮城県金華山島の結果と類似したものであった。その生産量から公園平坦部で養うことのできるシカ個体数はほぼ730 頭と推定された。

In the last several years, an explosion of papers argue about Japanese modern landscape, there are design of residential gardens, policies of park and landscape of resort and so on. This paper clarifies the formation period of semi-western gardens in Tokyo during the Meiji period and its spatial characteristics, particularly Shiba-niwa (lawn garden), by analyzing the trends in western house construction and relationship between building layout and garden design within premises. The result leads to the following hypothesis. The formation period of Shiba-niwa style overlaps with the period of western building construction boom around the mid-Meiji period (1882 - 1902). The concept of Shiba-niwa was to integrate the juxtaposed arrangement of Japanese and western buildings, typical building layout in modern residential spaces, into coherent landscapes with simple combination of spacious lawns and gently meandering paths, that is a remarkable characteristic reflecting the modernization of traditional garden design.

Post-import from the Republic of Indonesia to Japan in 2017, two juvenile, captive bred Asian small-clawed otters (Aonyx cinereus) exhibited gastrointestinal symptoms, including vomiting, diarrhea, and hematemesis, and died. One of them was examined postmortem. Microscopically, the small intestinal mucosa was necrotic with crypts lined by regenerating large epithelial cells. A gastric cardiac mucosal ulcerative lesion containing fungal yeasts and pseudohyphae morphologically indicated Candida spp. The lymph nodes exhibited marked lymphoid depletion. Canine parvovirus 2 (CPV-2) was isolated from an oral swab, and virus protein 2 (VP2) gene sequencing revealed new CPV-2a. To our knowledge, this is the first new CPV-2a infection report in Asian small-clawed otters. This infection should be considered in gastrointestinal symptom-related cases in this species.

トマス・アクィナスのマリア論は,一面においては,マリアの権威は神の母としてのものであり,したがってキリストのゆえにマリアは偉大であるとするものであるとされ,他面においては,マリアに独立の人格としての意義を認めるものであると論じられる.『天使祝詞講解』(以下『講解』)におけるトマスのマリア論も,上記の両面を有するが,マリアに独立の人格としての意義をより認めるものであると言える.『神学大全』Summa Theologiae および『神学綱要』Compendium Theologiae におけるトマスのマリア論が,理論上だけでなく構成上も,キリスト論の一部を構成する議論と位置づけられているのに対し,『講解』において はマリアが独立の主題となっている.本稿は『講解』のマリア論の上述した独自性に着目し,トマスのマリア論に別の角度から光を当てることを試みるものである.方法としては,『講解』の翻訳と註釈を交互に提示する.この作業を通じて,『講解』がマリアについてのどのような考察であるかを浮かび上がらせることが, 本稿の目標である.テキストとしては,In Salutationem Angelicam vulgo "Ave Maria,, Expositio, in: S. Thomae Aquinatis Doctoris Angeli Opuscula Theologica, vol.II., De Re Spirituali, cura et studio P. Fr. Raymundi M. Spiazzi O. P., Marietti, 1954, pp.237-241を用いた.マリエッティ版の神学小品集第2巻は,収録する全著作の節に通し番号を振っており,翻訳中の節番号は1110番から開始する.この訳は,訳者の知るかぎり初の日本語訳である.

本論は、宮沢賢治の「グスコーブドリの伝記」を、岩手県の農業状況と賢治の農業思想を踏まえて新たに読み直したものである。賢治は、商品経済の中でいかに農村を発展させるかという構想をもち、将来性のある蔬菜栽培を実験的に行っていた。本作品にも冷害に強い商品作物を作る農民が登場する。彼が将来の農村の可能性を示す農民の先駆者として表現されることによって、主人公の死は将来への期待を残した死だと考えられるのである。

'A sport event' is an expression which embraces a sport meeting and surrounding social phenomenon. A sport event here is confined as a mega sport event in contemporary capitalist society. Researches are required to clarify the merits and the demerits of the mega sport events. In the first half of this manuscript, "the social history and sport event" will be discussed. A primitive society was "the birth age of sports", because sports were born as training for hunting. Sports were equally enjoyed by all people of the society. Then, the ancient slavery age, especially ancient Greece, emerged. As typically seen to ancient Olympics, the age was "a birth age of sport events". feudalism society was dominated by religions. Since religions had a common belief that "Spirit dominates over body", three body demands, exercise, sex and appetite, were very important subjects of religious training. Therefore, sport events disappeared from the medieval times of Europe. However, capitalist society required new movement cultures, such as sports (Britain), gymnastics (Sweden, Germany) and martial art (Japan) etc. And sport events were re-born in capitalist society. In the second half of this manuscript, "capitalism and sport events" will be discussed. Especially, the Olympics as a representative of mega sport events will be analyzed from the financial viewpoint and historically. The Olympics developed its gigantism and authority from the 1970s, with combining the global strategy of multinational corporations and the infrastructure building of Olympics host cities. The maladies (the sacrifice of the social welfare, environmental destruction etc.) became very severe. IOC and the Olympics have been pressured to make a sustainable mega sport event.

Serious problems have been occurred by the trading of the data leaked from computers and the one uploaded to Homepages illegally by the file-sharing software program for example Winny recently. Winny was developed by Isamu Kaneko and opened on his homepage, May 6, 2002. Winny has a characteristic to maintain anonymity. Two users of Winny were arrested on the charge of the copyright infringement by Kyoto Police, November 27, 2003. And Isamu Kaneko was also arrested on the charge of their aid, May 10, 2004. And Kaneko was sentenced to fine 1,500,000 yen by Kyoto District Court ,that is “Judgment 2006.12.13”. He is appealing to Osaka High Court now. I would consider the technology of Winny, think the judgment of the Kyoto District Court and talk about the best legal and technical way in the future.

新興国市場において、モジュール化が進展すると、日本企業の開発した製品は競争力を失う傾向がある。このような新興国市場における日本企業のジレンマを克服するためには、摺り合せの利点を活かしたプラットフォームを用いて品質と低コストを総合的に備えた製品を開発することが求められる。その具体例として、本稿は本田技研工業株式会社(以下「ホンダ」と略称)が開発したスーパーカブ(現地モデル)のタイ、ベトナム市場での事例を取り上げる。スーパーカブは、二輪車の中ではコモディティに近い製品ながら、新興国市場等で高い競争力を保持している。その背景には、摺り合わせ型のプラットフォームの完成度の高さに依拠する製品の品質の秀逸さと、サプライヤーとの組織間関係の革新による低コスト化の両立を図ったことがある。本稿の目的は、摺り合せ型プラットフォームにより品質等と組織間関係の革新による低コスト化を両立できれば、新興国市場でも競争力を保持できることを示すことにある。
