台湾先住民児童を対象とする初等教育機関・蕃童教育所は警務局の管轄下におかれ、その教員を担ったのは駐在所の巡査であった。本稿の課題は、教育所の教員を担った警察官の具体像を検討し、そこに教育実践上どのような問題があったのかを検討することにある。主な資料は、警察関係の統計、官庁出版物、雑誌、部内簿冊等である。 総督府が教育所教員としてどのような人材を配したかを通観すれば、限られた人員と予算のもとで、総督府が教育所教員のために講じた措置はごく限定的なものであったことが歴然としている。このことは、先住民政策において教育所教員の問題が低い位置しか占めていなかったこと、ひいては、為政者にとって先住民教育が切迫した政策課題とはなりえなかったことをよく示している。しかも、先住民教育が先住民政策の「要」であるといった掛け声とは裏腹に、教育所の生徒たちは劣悪な教育状況下での学習を余儀なくされたのである。

This review focuses on priming phenomena in social psychology area. First, various social priming phenomena were discriminated and I describe about trait priming. It is included in the conceptual priming. Second, I refer to goal priming. Goal priming activates motivation and often influences on behavior. Third, evaluative priming is a very interesting procedure and is now used for measurement of implicit attitudes. Fourth, affective priming is sometimes understood as mood congruent effect, however I will introduce various dependent measure and compare two models. Fifth, mind-set priming is a novel procedure and is paid much attention to as more complex procedure. Lastly, I will introduce goal-directed behavior and counteractive self-control theory and discuss the role of consciousness.

This two-part study aimed to examine the effects of temptation coping strategies on self-control when faced with a conflict between academic goals and temptations. The results of Study 1 indicated that the general use of temptation coping strategies promoted goal pursuits. Study 2 investigated whether differences in the difficulty of goal achievement had an effect on the effectiveness of temptation coping strategies. Goal Verification, Temptation Avoidance, and Goal Execution, which are subscales of the Scale of Temptation Coping Strategies in Academic Situations, were effective strategies to facilitate self-control regardless of the difficulty of goal achievement. However, Mood Changing, which is another subscale of the Scale of Temptation Coping Strategies in Academic Situations, was a strategy that did not affect self-control. These findings indicated that the temptation coping strategies were largely effective in academic situations. The implications of adaptive self-control are also discussed.

原子力デ-タとしての中性子断面積は,新型炉や将来の核融合炉のみならずさまざまの広い応用分野に於て基礎的かつもっとも重要な物理量として位置づけられ,信頼性の高いデ-タが広い核種にわたって要求されている.近年原子力の基礎的分野の人員や予算不足のために,核デ-タ評価においてこの様な強い要求に答えることは困難になっている.今まで以上の国際協力のみならず革新的な技術の応用が必要である.本研究課題では中性子核デ-タの評価作業に対する支援システムを構築するための知識工学的手法導入の可能性について検討した.以下に研究成果をまとめる.1評価作業を分析した結果その作業は,個別手続き,デ-タベ-スと従来の評価用コ-ド群を結び付けるネットワ-クモデルで表現できる.その各ノ-ドは二つのタイプ:デ-タや属性の集まりとタスクにわけられ,それぞれオブジェクトとしてモデル化できる.2デ-タオブジェクトとしては評価の目標,基礎核特性デ-タ,核反応,反応断面積,核反応モデルとコ-ド,計算用モデルパラメ-タ断面積実験値等であり,3タスクオブジェクトとしては評価目標の設定,基礎核特性デ-タの準備,モデルコ-ドの選択,モデルパラメ-タの初期値選択,パラメ-タの調整,比較対象断面積の準備,計算値と実験値の比較判断,目標致達の判定等である.4オブジェクト間のやり取りはメッセ-ジ交換メカニズムを使う.5上記モデルの一部を32ビットワ-クステ-ション上にNEXPERT OBJECTによって実現した.6従来の理論モデルコ-ド移植し,各種の新しいデ-タベ-スを構築してシステムに組み込んだ,7オデジェクト指向モデルを採用した結果試験システムは理解性,拡張性,保守性の高いものとなり,本格システムの実現性を明かにした.

日本医学雑誌編集者会議(JAMJE)は,日本医学会112分科会の機関誌の編集委員から構成される。JAMJEは,2008年の設立総会で,医学雑誌と編集者の自由と権利の擁護,医学雑誌の質の向上への取り組み,倫理規範の策定,国際的な連携という4項目を活動の目標とした。この目標に即した医学雑誌の編集方針のためのガイドライン(案)を作成した。ガイドラインには,世界医学雑誌編集者協会(WAME)による「方針書」と「編集者候補および新任編集者を対象としたシラバス」および国際医学雑誌編集者会議(ICMJE)の「統一投稿規程」に記載されている内容を盛り込み,さらに国内事情を反映させた。JAMJEの4つの目標に準じた章立てとしている。

バラ科キイチゴ属(Rubus)は先駆性の低木種であり,開放的な環境が形成されるといち早く侵入・繁茂し,さまざまな鳥類や哺乳類が果実を利用する典型的な周食型散布植物である.本研究では,自動撮影カメラを用いて,中部日本のスギ林に生育するキイチゴ属3種(クサイチゴ Rubus hirsutus,モミジイチゴ R. palmatus,クマイチゴ R. crataegifolius)の量的に有効な種子散布者を明らかにすることを目的とした.調査は石川県農林総合研究センター林業試験場内のスギ人工林において,間伐施業後に出現したキイチゴ属3種を対象として,2019年5月9日~7月10日に行なった.自動撮影カメラLtl-Acorn6210MCをもちいて,熟した果実(クサイチゴ108個,モミジイチゴ489個,クマイチゴ168個)と落果(モミジイチゴ32個)の果実持ち去り動物を記録した.キイチゴ属3種ともに3週間で83%以上の果実が樹上から消失した.果実持ち去り数の割合が上位の動物は,クサイチゴでアナグマ(総持ち去り数の30.4%),ニホンザル(27.8%),ヒヨドリ(19.0%),モミジイチゴでヒヨドリ(59.7%)とニホンザル(37.4%),クマイチゴでヒヨドリ(78.2%)とニホンザル(20.4%)だった.ヒヨドリが散布したクマイチゴの種子の発芽率は3.2%(N=189)だった.果実持ち去り数が上位であったヒヨドリとニホンザル,さらにアナグマはキイチゴ属3種の量的に有効な種子散布者と考えられた.これらの3種の動物は,発芽能力のある種子を散布し,その散布範囲は動物種によって数十ヘクタールから数平方キロメートルの範囲内に散布する可能性があることから,質的にも有効な種子散布者である可能性が高いと考えられた.

歌手は自らの身体が楽器であるため、歌唱にかかわる諸器官の動きを視認することができない。本研究では、歌手の身体感覚と実際の現象との対応関係を検証することを目的として、歌手へのインタビューを行い、歌唱技術の要とされる横隔膜の動きを実時間での磁気共鳴画像法(MRI動画)を用いて可視化した。その結果、プロ歌手の制御された横隔膜の動きが観察され、その現象が歌手の主観的な身体感覚の説明とも一致することが明らかになった。また、声道や舌の形状、ヴィブラートにも歌唱技術を反映すると思われる特性がみられた。本研究で提案されたMRIによる撮像法と分析法は、歌唱技術を解明する上で有用な手段のひとつとなりうるであろう。

症例1は35歳男性である.6ヵ月前より禿頭予防にフィナステリド1 mg/日を内服していた.頭痛と痙攣発作を発症し,右前頭葉に出血をともなう低吸収域をみとめ,CT venography(CTV)で脳静脈洞血栓症と診断した.症例2は41歳男性である.2年前より禿頭のためフィナステリド1 mg/日,ミノキシジル6 mg/日を内服していた.頭痛を発症し,左頭頂側頭葉に散在する脳梗塞をみとめた.フィナステリド服用中の血栓症発症は,医薬品医療機器総合機構(The Japan Pharmaceutical and Medical Devices Agency; PMDA)へは,当院例を併せて14症例報告があり,脳卒中4例,心筋梗塞6例,その他4例であった.フィナステリドによるエストロゲン上昇の報告があり,血栓症発症への関与が考えられた.

【要旨】 本稿の目的は、占領期のスターダムのなかでなぜ原節子の価値が最も高まり、どのような大衆の欲望によって彼女のペルソナが構築されたのかを、敗戦後の社会・文化的条件に即して実証的に明らかにすることにある。これまでスターを対象とする研究は映画の表象に傾斜した分析が多かったが、スター研究の視座から、スターを取り巻く言説、とりわけファン雑誌におけるイメージやテクストと映画との関係を重視し、複数のメディア・テクストにおける原節子の個性的アイデンティティ構築が、占領期のジェンダー・セクシュアリティ規範のなかでいかなる価値を形成していたのかを探究する。 原節子は、敗戦後に求められる理想的な女性像としての「理知的」で「意志」の強い主体的なイメージを戦中から準備し、戦前と戦後の連続性を引き受けることで、占領期に最も人気の高いスターとなった。彼女の映画のパフォーマンスと、雑誌のパーソナリティに通底する他者の身体から「離れている」ペルソナは、日本女性の身体をめぐるアメリカと日本の占領の言説において、文化的価値を高めることになった。彼女は戦後に現れた敗戦の歴史的トラウマを喚起するパンパンなどの「敗者の身体」とは決して重なることない〈離接的身体〉としての理想的ペルソナを言説によって構築していたのである。本稿では、占領期という歴史的コンテクストのなかで原節子がいかに価値づけされ、欲望されているのかを分析し、アメリカへの抵抗を可能にする原節子のスターペルソナを通して大衆の戦後意識を解明する。

電力設備の塩害対策として広く用いられているシリコーンオイルコンパウンドの塗布部分には,鳥類が原因と見られる著しい剥離の進行が散見され,保守現場で問題となっている.適切な鳥害対策を施すためには,鳥類種の特定が必要であることから,本研究では,シリコーンオイルコンパウンドと思われる人工物質を内容したペリットを採取し,DNA分析による種の特定,およびIR分析による内容物同定を行った.その結果,ペリットの吐出主がハシブトガラスであること,およびペリット試料に含まれる人工物が,設備のシリコーンオイルコンパウンドと同一の成分であることを突き止め,シリコーンオイルコンパウンド塗布部分への被害が,ハシブトガラスによってもたらされたことを示す一例を突き止めた.また,カラスの行うシリコーン化合物の採食行動が,従来考えられていた人工物からの脂質摂取とは異なる目的でなされた行動である可能性を指摘した.

In J.M. Coetzee's Waiting for the Barbarians, the barbarian girl, one of the main characters, suddenly begins to menstruate during the journey to the territory of her people, the barbarians. This scene of menstruation might seem irrelevant to the rest of the novel, which deals with the conflict between the Empire and the barbarians. Few critics have mentioned the menstruation in this novel, although Waiting for the Barbarians has been the subject of considerable commentary. However, if it is irrelevant to the novel's plot, why does Coetzee go out of his way to describe menstruation, even though literature seldom mentions it? In fact, some haunting images in Waiting for the Barbarians, such as children and blood, are closely linked to menstruation. This paper discusses how menstruation, a phenomenon that has many layers of meaning, works in this novel, focusing mainly on its physiological and symbolic meanings. On the physiological level of meaning, menstruation in Waiting for the Barbarians means that the barbarian girl is not pregnant; and it serves as a kind of foreshadowing of her clear break with the Magistrate, an officer of the Empire and the novel's narrator. After the Magistrate has sex with the barbarian girl, for a quick moment he dreams of making a family with her; but her menstruation shows that it is impossible for them to have children together. She leaves him and returns to her people just after menstruating. On the symbolic level of meaning, the barbarian girl's menstruation means that the "flow," which the Empire's control blocked, returns at the "margin," or the boundary, where the Empire's power intertwines with that of the barbarians. Under the Empire's control, blood is described as stagnant and clotted, and natural phenomena's flow is also disrupted. The flow, however, is visualized as menstruation when the barbarian girl reaches the boundary between the Empire and the barbarians' territory. Menstruation, the physiological phenomenon of blood leaking from a woman's body at its margin, symbolises boundary-crossing and overlaps with the act of geographic boundary-crossing, the barbarian girl's and the Magistrate's transition from the Empire to the barbarians' territory. Although both the Magistrate and the barbarian girl become boundary-crossers by being involved in geographic boundary-crossing and menstruation, the barbarian girl achieves greater fluidity than the Magistrate. This is because fluidity, a dangerous attribute, is traditionally ascribed to women in literature. In Waiting for the Barbarians, menstruation is used to symbolise the contrast between the Empire as a patriarchal, solid order and the margin where the Empire and the barbarians encounter each other, creating fluidity. It also symbolises the contrast between the woman who can achieve great fluidity, and the man who cannot escape from the Empire's solid order. Menstruation, which is fluid and cyclic, also symbolises the cycle of nature, especially reproduction, which the Empire hinders. In Waiting for the Barbarians, the Magistrate thinks that the Empire does not respect nature's cycle and that it deprives its people and its land of fertility. As Julia Kristeva points out in "Women's Time," the time of history is linear and often is ascribed to men, but the time of nature is cyclic and often is ascribed to women. The Magistrate feels antipathy toward the time of history of the Empire, and he hopes that the barbarian girl, who achieves great fluidity through menstruation, will have children and regain nature's cycle.

This study aims to qualitatively clarify, through interviews, how a kendo master reads, attacks, and defeats the opponent. Previous studies related to “reading” have been conducted with the concepts of “clinical intuition,” “situational cognition,” and “predictive judgment” in the field of nursing. In addition, the “reading” of Japanese chess is positioned as a predictive judgment, and there are several pieces of research on strategies used during artificial intelligence battles. However, research on “reading” that comprehensively captures contextual, spatial, cognitive, emotional, technical, and proficient perspectives is still scarce. The subject of this study holds the 8th degree in kendo. He is an outstanding kendo player who has won several Japanese championships and is an experienced teacher. Data collection was conducted through two-to-one semi-structured, open-ended, and in-depth interviews by the two authors. The interview duration was two hours. The interview data were transcribed and then analyzed by the qualitative analysis method. As a result of the analysis, the kendo master’s reading was classified into six subcategories, namely, “determine the entirety of the opponent,” “show movement before the opponent does,” “establishment of linked movements,” “invitation to attack,” “creating inevitability,” and “natural reaction of the body.” These were finally divided into three categories, namely, “identifying the opponent,” “identifying movements of self and others,” and “occurrence of attack.” The study concludes that the kendo master, by demonstrating the power of outstanding reading explained by three elements, identifies the opponent’s ability, predicts the movement, and directs the flow of movement between the opponent and himself within the context of an attack. It is evident that an attack is composed of a series of steps. Further research should examine the relationship between reading and actual behavior, and focus on other masters.

解剖実習用遺体において, 〓門, 天柱, 風池, 完骨, 翳風の5経穴に針を深刺し, 以後, 針を抜くことなく表層より解剖をすすめ, 刺入針と後頸部の構造との関連を調べた。〓門, 天柱, 風池の各穴への刺入針は, いずれも後環椎後頭膜や脳硬膜などを貫通し, 最終は延髄に達していた。刺入点より脳硬膜までの深さは頸周囲39.1cmの遺体でそれぞれ50mm, 51mm, 49mmであった。また, 風池穴の深部約40mm付近には椎骨動脈, 完骨穴の部では後頭動脈, 翳風穴の部では外頸動脈や顎動脈が浅層の部を近接走行しており, 刺針の際, 手技や深さに充分な注意を払うことが望まれる。
