鋼道路橋において,溶射皮膜上に塗装が塗布され,重ね皮膜になる場合があるが,その重ね皮膜の耐久・防食特性については不明な点が多い.そこで,本研究ではAlとZnの溶射と重防食塗装の重ね皮膜部の耐久・防食特性を解明するために,クロスカット傷を導入した溶射単膜,および溶射と塗装の重ね皮膜部を有する鋼板試験体を用いて複合サイクル腐食促進試験を行った.また,重ね皮膜部の膨れ性状の測定,分極特性などの電気化学測定,SEM-EDXによる断面元素分析およびXRDによる生成物の同定分析を実施した.これらの結果から,溶射と塗装の重ね皮膜では,Al溶射の重ね皮膜がZn溶射に比べて早期に劣化し,耐久性が低下することなどを明らかにした.また,塩類に曝される腐食性の高い環境におけるAlとZnの溶射と塗装の重ね皮膜の劣化機構を示した.

One-sided lower limb raising motion during sitting is carried out in various daily living activities. In clinical practice, we often encounter patients experiencing instability during maintenance of the sitting posture. When such patients lift the lower limb of one side, the balance of the sitting posture is disturbed, leading to instability at the back and the side, necessitating assistance for basic daily chores in some cases. Physiotherapy training includes practice exercises for raising the legs to various heights for patients who find it difficult to raise the lower limb of one side in the sitting position. We hypothesized that movement of the spine, the pelvis, and a change in the pressure center of the seating surface accompany lifting of the lower limbs, and analyzed the spinal, pelvic, and limb positions using two-dimensional image analysis in physical movement, and the center of pressure displacement responses to changes in the height of unilateral lower limb elevation in the sitting position. The objective was to examine the characteristics of COP displacement. In the 30% elevation task, displacement of the right and left COP locus was observed in response to lower limb elevation, and with regard to the longitudinal COP locus, there was a tendency of the COP locus to displace backward after the COP shifted forward. In the 90% elevation task, COP displacement to the support side and the rear side was observed. Considering these facts, a pattern of characteristic COP displacement corresponding to the change in height of the leg lifting was seen. In healthy volunteers, it has been observed that the supporting side hip joint is always held in internal rotation, and that the load is applied at the sole so that efficient operation with less COP displacement occurs. In cases of instability in one side lower limb elevation, it has been suggested that evaluation of the alignment of the supporting side hip joint is as important as that of the elevated lower limb and the trunk.

Hybrid Dynamical Systems (HDS), which contain both discrete symbol and continuous signal, are attracting great attention in the field of system control. In this paper, a new symbol based control strategy for a line following control of a two wheeled vehicle is proposed. The vehicle is supposed to have a low-resolution sensor and actuator. The control requirement, however, is specified so as to keep the vehicle as close as possible to the center of the line. The controllability and observability issues are investigated, and a concrete control policy based on the continuous state estimation is proposed. Some experimental results are shown to demonstrate the usefulness of our idea.

Low rank tensor estimation has a lot of applications such as recommendation system, spatiotemporal data analysis, and multi-task learning. We consider a Bayes estimator for this problem. We give theoretical analyses for the Bayes estimator and show that the Bayes estimator achieves the minimax optimal predictive accuracy. We also consider a nonparametric tensor model and a Bayes estimator for that model. It is also shown that the Bayes estimator of the nonparametric model achieves the minimax optimality. Finally, numerical experiments were conducted on restaurant evaluation data and give comparison with the Bayes estimators and other methods.

In the clinical field, we have provided physical therapy for cases presenting with Trendelenburg sign on walking caused by reduced muscle strength of the abductor muscle group of the hip joint on the weighted side. The Trendelenburg sign can occur in the early stage or after the middle stage of the stance phase, showing various patterns. In this study, we focused on the relationship between Trendelenburg sign occurring in the early stage or after the middle stage of the stance phase and the abductor muscle group of the hip joint on the weighted side. The subjects were asked to flex their hip joint and bend the body forward with 95% of the body weight loaded on one side of the body in an upright position, and remain in this position with the angle from the initial position at 5, 10, 15, 20, and 25 degrees. We evaluated the influence of changes in the angle of the hip joint on integration values of electromyograms of the abductor muscle group of the hip joint (the tensor fascia lata muscle, gluteus medius muscle, and superior part of the gluteus maximus muscle) on the weighted side, using surface electromyograms. As a result, the relative integration value of the electromyograms of the tensor fasciae lata muscle and gluteus medius muscle on the weighted side significantly decreased as the angle of the hip joint increased. On the other hand, the relative integration value of electromyograms of superior part of the gluteus maximus muscle on the weighted side significantly elevated as the angle of the hip joint increased. The hip joint on the weighted side underwent flexion, and was subjected to an abduction force, as the angle of hip joint changed when one of the lower extremities was loaded. It was considered that superior part of the gluteus maximus muscle, which also belongs to the extensor muscle group of the hip joint, was primarily involved as a braking force. The results of this study suggest that the evaluation and treatment of superior part of the gluteus maximus muscle is important in controlling the dropping of the pelvis toward the non-weighted side (adduction of the hip joint of the standing leg) and its anterior inclination (flexion of the hip joint of the standing leg) in cases presenting with Trendelenburg sign.

日本では,約1万の幼稚園があり,その内の70%が私立幼稚園である。私立幼稚園の多くは,ファミリービジネスであり,園長は経営者としての役割も担っているため,保育の質の向上には,実践面の役割を担う主任教諭の役割は重要である。そこで本研究では,私立幼稚園の主任教諭が自身のリーダーシップをどのようなものとして捉え,また自身の役割をどのようなものとして認識しているのか,そこでの主任教諭としてのやりがいや葛藤はどこにあるのかを明らかにすることを目的とする。私立幼稚園の主任教諭8名に対してインタビューを行い,質的データ分析方法であるM-GTA(木下2003)を用いて分析を行った。その結果,25の「分析概念」,9つの[カテゴリー],3つの〈コア・カテゴリー〉が生成された。主任は,園長と職員集団との意思疎通を図り,それぞれの意図を伝達する〈つなげる〉ことと,カリキュラムの調整や職員への指導,心理的支援といった職員集団を〈まとめる〉ことをリーダーシップと捉える一方で,この2つのリーダーシップの間で,やりがいと共に葛藤の〈板挟み感〉を感じていることが明らかとなった。

To analyze walking turns, the influence the hip joint external rotation angle of the stepping limb in the standing position has on electromyographic activities of the upper and lower gluteus maximus muscle fibers was examined. The subjects were 10 healthy males with a mean age of 24.2. The standing position was defined as the position in which subjects stepped forward from a standing position. The hip joint external rotation angle of the starting position was changed, and the electromyographic activities of the upper and lower gluteus maximus muscle fibers were measured at each angle. The integrated electromyographic relative value of the upper gluteus maximus fiber significantly increased with the increase of the hip joint external rotation angle. The integrated electromyographic relative value of the lower gluteus maximus fiber also showed a tendency to increase. It is our opinion that the upper and lower gluteus maximus muscle fibers participate in the maintenance of the extension and external rotation of the support side hip through the actions of hip extension and external rotation. In addition, the support side hip performs adduction with increase in the angle of hip external rotation, indicating that the upper gluteus maximus fiber increases hip abduction to brake it.

The mechanism for the activation of cerebral function through singing and listening music was investigated. In this research, the effect of singing and listening to music on cerebral function and the effects on autonomic nerve systems were clarified. The fluctuation of oxyHb was analyzed for quantifying the active state of cerebral function. The CSI to investigate the activation level of sympathetic nerve and the CVI to investigate the activation level of parasympathetic nerve were analyzed for quantifying the fluctuation of autonomic nerve systems. The result of experiment showed that the oxyHb increased during the music tasks and the oxyHb decreased during the rest. Additionally, it was shown that the sympathetic nerve became predominant in singing music. In addition to this, we proposed a new evaluation index quantifying the active status of cerebral function using the absolute value of oxyHb and the differential value of oxyHb. By use of this evaluation index, the effectiveness of relaxation with listening music and relaxation without music on the active status of cerebral function were investigated. In these investigations, the effectiveness of music therapy was increased when the parasympathetic nerve became predominant efficiently

Organizational slack is excess resources that influence various organizational phenomena, including adaptation, formation of dominant coalition, political behaviors, centralization, bureaucracy, risk preferences and innovation. As for its influences on organizational performance, however, scholars disagree whether the relationship is positive, negative, or curvilinear. We empirically examined moderating effectes of environmental, as well as organizational characteristics to argue that the form of relationship between organizational slack and organizational performance differs by the degree of environmental variability, search width, and by organizational age. Our analyses of 37 Japanese pharmaceutical firms between 1991 and 2010 (616 firm-years) show that organizational slack more negatively influences organizational performance to the extent that environmental variability or search width increase. Organizational age also moderates the relationship such that older firms enjoy more positive influences of organizational slack while younger firms suffer from more negative influences. The results indicate that we may be able to reconcile mutually contradictory findings in prior work by taking environmental, as well as organizational characteristics into consideration. We also discuss our findings' implications on the relationship between organizational slack and the attention-based view of the firm.

嚥下障害を示す症例においては,高い機能を保持している症例では上肺・中肺野異常影を示すものが多く,誤嚥性肺炎を診断困難にする要因の一つといえる.誤嚥性肺炎の胸部単純レントゲン診断においては,ADL,摂食食態,嚥下機能の評価にも注目する必要性がある.

本稿の目的は,大学で行われた新型コロナウイルス感染症流行下の学生支援実践を報告することである。2019年度卒業式の中止を皮切りに,大学のほぼすべての活動は制限され,2020年8月現在も登校禁止の状況が続く。筆者の所属する名古屋大学学生支援センターにおいて行われた支援を,不適応を呈した学生,その家族,関係教職員を対象とした三次支援,現時点では不適応を呈していないがその可能性の高い者を対象とした二次支援,全構成員を対象とした一次支援の3つのレベルに分けて報告する。

In mammals, bitter taste is mediated by TAS2Rs, which belong to the large family of seven transmembrane G protein-coupled receptors. Since TAS2Rs are directly involved in the interaction between mammals and their dietary sources, it is likely that these genes evolved to reflect species’ specific diets during mammalian evolution. We have investigated intra- and inter-species differences in the function of TAS2Rs of primates in protein and behavioral levels. The results suggest the common mechanism of the diversification of sensory receptors dependent on the species specific environments.

温室効果ガス削減が求められる状況の中、優れた省エネシステムに利用可能な吸着剤として、水蒸気吸着性能に優れかつ低温熱源を用いて再生が可能な無機多孔質物質ハスクレイを開発した。この論文では、粘土の研究と天然に存在するナノ物質の研究を経て、ハスクレイの合成に至った経緯、および省エネ用吸着剤として広く利用されるために必要な事項を示す。

We investigated the uniformity of content, rheological properties and chemical stability for prescription of Kindavate® ointment diluted with white petrolatum. When the ointment was levigated with white petrolatum (Propeto® for dilution) by a pharmacist or mixed by an autorotation/orbital mechanical mixer, a uniform ointment having the precise drug content could be prepared for all conditions. However, as the dilution ratio increased, the hardness of the ointment seemed to decrease based on the yield point measured with a spread meter and apparent absolute viscosity. Also, using a polarizing microscope, we observed a dispersion of oil droplets (consisting of liquid paraffin in clobetasone butyrate) in petrolatum for both Kindavate® ointment and the diluted ointment showing that the internal structure of ointment had not been affected by preparation of the diluted ointment either manually by pharmacists or using the mechanical mixer. When the diluted ointment was stored at 4 or 25°C in tight container in the absence of light, it was chemically stable for at least a month.Since our results showed that Kindavate® ointment diluted with petrolatum had a precise drug content and was stable over time, it should be feasible to prepare the ointment in advance of use.

新型コロナウイルスをはじめとして,数多くのウイルス感染症がRNAウイルスによって引き起こされている.RNAウイルス感染症の制御には,ウイルス増殖機構の包括的理解が不可欠である.また,一般にRNAウイルスは進化速度が速いため,抗ウイルス薬への耐性株や中和抗体,細胞性免疫など宿主免疫からの逃避株について,変異株のウイルスゲノムに出現した変異がどのようなメカニズムで耐性を獲得しているのかを解明することは極めて重要である.これら変異株の解析を行う上で,組換えウイルスの人工合成法(リバースジェネティクス法)は重要なツールであるが,従来の方法は特殊な技術やツールが必要で,ウイルスの回収までに長い時間を要するという課題があった.近年開発されたcircular polymerase extension reaction法(CPER法)はウイルスゲノムを複数に分割することで,それぞれのゲノム断片を大腸菌プラスミド内で比較的容易に維持可能であり,極めて迅速に変異体の作成が可能である.著者らはこれまでデングウイルス,日本脳炎ウイルス,ジカウイルスなどのフラビウイルスを中心に研究を進めてきたが,最近は同技術を新型コロナウイルス研究に応用することで,ウイルス増殖機構の解明に取り組んでいる.本総説では,同技術の特徴や応用例,今後の発展性について紹介したい.
