本稿では、人間の顔の3次元形状データを、一般に美しいとされる顔がもつ特徴を有するように変形するシステムについて報告する。変形対象は、眉、目、鼻、口、輪郭とし、形状と配置の美化を行う。美化の程度は、入力パラメータによって制御可能であり、ユーザの好みに合わせた美化モデルを作成できる。提案システムおよび生成された顔モデルについて実験を行った結果、提案システムの有用性を確認した。We introduce a new system that transforms 3D facial data into beautified ones which have the features as beautiful faces in general. The targets of beautification are eyebrows, eyes, nose, mouth, and face contour. The operations for beautification are modifications of shapes and arrangement of the targets. The levels of the beautification can be controlled according to the parameter values input by a user, and the system can make beautified facial models matched to the user's favor. The effectiveness of the proposed system was confirmed from the experimental result on the proposed system and beautified facial models.

Three treated groups totaling 60 patients with solitary bone cysts were evaluated. Curettage and bone graft, methylprednisolone acetate (MPA) injection, and curettagehydroxyapatite (HA) filling were performed in 20, 32, and 12 patients, respectively. Four patients were treated with two different interventions. The healing rates (complete healing plus incomplete healing evaluated by Campanacci's criteria) in the three groups was 85%, 83%, and 100%, respectively. Although the healing rate of HA filling appeared to be best in this series, the average duration of follow-up was less than two years. Therefore, MPA injection should be the preferred method for its greater simplicity and the absence of complications.

キビタキ<i>Ficedula narcissina</i>の雄について,外部形態に基づく齢査定の方法を検討した.第1回夏羽の個体は第2回夏羽以降の個体よりも自然翼長,尾長とも短かったが計測値は重複が大きかった.また,脛羽の色は第1回夏羽,第2回夏羽,それ以降の第3回夏羽以降の3群でそれぞれ異なっており,第1回夏羽では淡褐色,第2回夏羽では灰黒色の羽が疎らに生え,それ以降の第3回夏羽以降では純黒色の羽が密に生えていた.さらに,虹彩の色は第1回夏羽では灰褐色,第2回夏羽では褐色であり,第3回夏羽以降の個体の多くは赤褐色であった.これらより,キビタキの雄の齢は脛羽と虹彩の色によって第1回夏羽,第2回夏羽,第3回夏羽以降の3群に識別することができると考えられた.

The dislocation strengthening was estimated by applying the dislocation theory for a Fe-18%Ni alloy which has a lath martensitic structure. The yield stress of highly dislocated metals is dependent on both the friction stress and the dislocation strengthening. Regarding the coefficient of dislocation strengthening, it is governed by the shear modulus of metals. Ni addition plays a role in increasing the friction stress but decreases the shear modulus. This means that the coefficient of dislocation strengthening is smaller in the Fe-18%Ni alloy than pure iron. It was confirmed that the yield stress, which was experimentally obtained in Fe-18%Ni alloy, is reasonably explained by the mechanism of dislocation strengthening, taking the effects of Ni into consideration. On the other hand, in the case of lath martensite with a dislocation density of 2×1015 /m2, it was also found that the effect of Ni addition does not appear on the yield stress because the increment of solid solution strengthening is cancelled out by the decrement of dislocation strengthening.

The purpose of the present study was to examine the effects of consumer's purchase plans, price type POP advertising presentation and image type POP advertising presentation on in-store consumer behaviors from the points of item choices and contact with advertising. We carried out an survey interview for 263 consumers in a supermarket in Higashiosaka city and analyzed the data according to the experimental design: 2 (consumer's having some purchase plans or not) × 2 (being present of price type POP advertising or not) × 2 (being present of image type POP advertising or not). The results showed that price type POP advertising and image type POP advertising had different kinds of effects. It was suggested that the former promoted rational consumer behaviors and the latter promoted emotional consumer behaviors in item choices. We found the effects of contact with advertising on sales promotion only in price type POP advertising. We also found that consumer's purchase plans and a condition of POP advertising presentation had interaction effects on item choices and contact with advertising.

組織がある目的を達成するために, 管理する側と実行する側に役割を分担して全体として目的を達成する行動が見られる. 管理側をプリンシパル, 実行側をエージェントとして表現し, それらをモデル化したものをエージェンシー・モデルと呼ばれ, それらについての概念的な研究が過去に多くみられた. 本研究で焦点を当てるポイントは, エージェントの行動の結果と組織全体の目的の間に差があり, その差をどのように埋められるかを考察する. そのための一考察として, エージェントの行動を評価するために, どのようなモデルを使い, 計測することが困難な努力をどのように表現するかを考える.

133Xe吸入による非侵襲的脳血流測定法では上気道内に分布する133Xeによるartifact (APA) の影響が大きく, Fourier法はこのAPAの影響を除去できる計算法とされている.正常人および各種神経疾患患者11例から得られた頭部133Xe減衰曲線から従来のObrist法 (VM法) とFourier法で脳血流を計算し比較した.脳半球平均灰白質血流量F1はVM法では69.2±13.2ml/100gbrain/min (mean±S.D.), Fourier法では64.4±13.5であり, この差はFourier法によってAPAが除去されるためと考えられた.しかし前頭部, 側頭部などでは, 副鼻腔等に停滞した133Xeによる, 呼吸気中の133Xe濃度曲線とは異なる形のartifactの影響を受け, その影響はFourier法を単に使用するのみでは除去できないと考えられた.以上よりFourier法においても減衰曲線の形, APAの大きさに注意し, とくにAPAの大きさが30以上の部位からの成績は検討から除外することがのぞましいと考えた.

A 62-year-male presented a high fever and a dry cough during a trip to Australia. He was admitted to a hospital as soon as be returned to Japan. The next day after returning to Japan, he was transferred to our hospital with septic shock and loss of consciousness. <I>Neisseria meningitidis</I> was cultured from his blood. <I>N. meningitidis</I> is rare in Japan. However its seems common, in some foreign countries. With these findings, it can be postulated that <I>N. meningitides</I> might be one of the etiological agents of the imported infectious disease.

症例は73歳女性.心不全の原因となった心房細動にコハク酸シベンゾリンを使用した際,低血糖が出現した.シベンゾリンによる低血糖の機序としてはATP感受性K+チャネル閉鎖によるインスリン分泌亢進が考えられており,本例でのインスリン分泌負荷試験の評価もそれに矛盾しなかった.また本例のような腎機能正常例でのシベンゾリンによる低血糖症の報告は少なく,その他ATP感受性K+チャネル作用薬併用の影響等も考えられた.本例はシベンゾリンの臨床的留意点や,その低血糖発症機序に関する有意義な症例と思われた.

AMPキナーゼは,真核生物において高度に保存されたセリン/スレオニンキナーゼである。キナーゼ活性が同定されたのは1970年代初期であるが,その生物学的重要性が認識され始めたのは最近になってからである。細胞内のエネルギー・レベルを感知して,低エネルギー環境に適応するための種々の調節を行う。生命活動のイベントの多くは,細胞レベルであっても個体レベルであっても,何らかの形でエネルギー代謝と関連している。そのため,AMPキナーゼが担う役割も単なるエネルギー・センサーに留まるものではなく,細胞の基本的活動(増殖・分化など)から疾患の生起にまでわたる。本稿では,AMPキナーゼの分子構造および機能を解説する。

本報告は,旧航空宇宙技術研究所において2002 年10 月に導入され,宇宙航空研究開発機構(JAXA)に統合された以降もJAXA スーパーコンピュータシステムの一部として2008 年10 月まで稼動したスーパーコンピュータシステム「数値シミュレータIII」に関して述べる.まず,調達から設置・運用までの経緯を俯瞰し,システム概要・特徴を明確化することにより,今回の導入において成功した点,あるいは注意点・課題を洗い出す.次に,性能評価データや運用統計データを用いて,技術的に実際にできたこと・できなかったことや,運用によって得られたものを明らかにするとともに技術課題や運用上の課題を分析する.特に,SMP クラスタという中核計算機の構成上の特徴から来るJAXA アプリケーションのハイブリッド並列における特性や性能推定法について言及する.これらの材料をもとに,航空宇宙分野におけるスーパーコンピューティングの重点技術やスーパーコンピュータシステムのあり方を考察するともに,設備運用のノウハウや勘所(=暗黙知)を抽出・可視化し,次世代実務者の礎とする.
